CIA ‘concludes with high confidence’ Saudi Crown Prince ordered Khashoggi murder – reports

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman personally ordered the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey last month, the CIA has concluded, according to anonymous sources who spoke with the Washington Post and Reuters.

The US foreign espionage agency assessed with "high confidence" that the prince was behind the death of the Post columnist, the newspaper reported on Friday evening, citing "people familiar with the matter." Reuters later cited its own source as saying that the spy agency "had briefed other parts of the US government on its assessment," which contradicts the official position maintained by both Riyadh and Washington thus far.

Death of HHS official Daniel Best is ruled a suicide (Apparently Beat Himself To Death)

The Nov. 1 death of Daniel Best, a pharmaceutical executive from Bay Village who led U.S. Department of Health and Human Services efforts to lower prescription drug prices, has been ruled a suicide, officials in Washington, D.C., said Thursday.

Police say Best was found "unresponsive" near the garage door exit of an apartment building in Washington, D.C.'s Navy Yard neighborhood at 5:25 a.m. on Nov. 1, and was pronounced dead by medical personnel who responded to the scene.

The city's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Thursday said Best died from "multiple blunt force injuries" and it ruled his death a suicide. It would not release further information.

SEAL TEAM 6 MEMBERS AND SPECIAL FORCES MARINES CHARGED WITH GREEN BERET MURDER AND COVER-UP

The Navy has formally accused a member of SEAL Team 6 with choking a Green Beret to death last year, and then using his field medic skills to cut open the victim’s throat in an effort to fake a lifesaving technique and cover up the murder.
The gruesome details of the alleged murder of Army Staff Sgt. Logan Melgar, of the 3rd Special Forces Group, while serving in the West African nation of Mali in June 2017, were released yesterday by the Navy as part of charges against two members of SEAL Team 6 and two special forces Marines. The charges were first reported by the Daily Beast.

The four accused special operators and Melgar were serving together on a counterterrorism task force based at the U.S. Embassy in the Malian capital of Bamako. The unit provided intelligence and training for Malian military forces in their battle against Islamic insurgents affiliated with Al Qaeda.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When a government and military teach assassination as a brilliant, complex , multi-colored set of "dark arts", they shouldn't be so surprised when, for whatever reason, they turn on their own, because they believe that they can do it with absolute impunity; that no one will ever know, because they are thoroughly initiated in cover-up techniques; and because their conscience has been surgically removed through this training process, they have no moral qualms about doing just such an act.

IN FIRST, US ENDORSES ISRAELI OCCUPATION OF GOLAN, VOTES AGAINST 9 ANTI-ISRAEL RESOLUTIONS

The US has, for the first time, endorsed the Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights by voting against an annual UN resolution that condemned the occupation and was unanimously approved along with several other resolutions against Tel Aviv.

The resolution titled “The occupied Syrian Golan,” adopted on Friday with 151 votes in favor, two against (Israel and the US), and 14 abstentions, condemns Israel for “repressive measures” against Syrian citizens in the Golan Heights.

The resolution, which was adopted during the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly’s Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee), expresses deep concern that the Syrian Golan, occupied since 1967, has been under continued Israeli military occupation.

The non-binding annual resolution takes issue with the “illegality of the decision” taken by Israel “to impose its laws, jurisdiction and administration on the occupied Syrian Golan,” which is illegal under international law.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why is it, that no matter which political party in this country wins or loses any election, Israel is always the winner?!?

FIVE SAUDIS FACE DEATH PENALTY OVER KHASHOGGI KILLING; CROWN PRINCE CLEARED

Saudi Arabia public prosecutor Sheikh Shaalan al-Shaalan said on Thursday that the kingdom will seek the death penalty for five suspects among the 11 charged in the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, confirming suspicions that members of the murder squad purportedly sent to "interrogate" Khashoggi will now themselves face beheadings as the Saudi Royal Family closes ranks around the Crown Prince, per the FT.

As for Mohammed bin Salman who runs the day to day affairs of the world’s top oil exporter and is the de facto head of OPEC, the prosecutor said had "no knowledge" of the mission, effectively absolving him of any domestic suspicion, if not international.

House Leadership Aims to Stop Debate on US Involvement in Saudi War in Yemen

On Wednesday, a measure is being advanced at the behest of House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) aiming to derail House Continuing Resolution 138, a War Powers Act challenge which would force an end to the US military involvement in the Saudi-led War in Yemen.

Under the War Powers Act, any individual lawmaker is intended to be able to raise the matter of an unauthorized war for debate and a vote on the floor. Efforts to do so have failed, however, as the House leadership has used the Rules Committee to sidestep the issue.

This move to derail the debate is part of the first day of lame-duck House business, and Rep. Ryan and the other leaders seem to be hoping to turn the legal challenge of the war into a partisan issue. Minority Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) accused the Republican leadership of shirking Congressional responsibility.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Folks, this is all about two things; the billions the weaponry companies are making from Saudi Arabia, and about continuing and abetting their war crimes in Yemen, rather than having a national discussion of the moral costs to this country these actions have had. (warning: highly graphic images):

The Saudis are assassinating women, children, or maiming them for life with their bombing raids:

Images: dead and crippled Yemeni children, courtesy of Saudi Bombing Raids

The US enabled blockade of Yemeni ports, means that desperately needed food, and medical supplies cannot be distributed, lead to massive death by malnutrition:

Images: Yemeni children dying of malnutrition.

And now, as the Yemeni people become weaker through malnutrition, there is a cholera epidemic here that has turned absolutely vicious.

Images: Yemeni children treated for cholera

I for one want to see this carnage stopped, immediately, and negotiations among all sides leading to a cease fire, and peace talks among all parties to resolve this horrific war.

And President Trump, I would like to strongly caution you that the optics here internationally...couldn't possibly be worse, for this country, and its participation on the genocide of Yemen, courtesy of one of your BFFs in the region, The Butcher of Yemen, AKA Crown Prince bin Salman.

LAND SEIZURES IN SOUTH AFRICA WON’T VIOLATE CONSTITUTION... ONCE IT’S CHANGED – RAMAPHOSA

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa told the European Parliament on Wednesday that his country’s land reform will faithfully adhere to the country’s constitution with respect to the rights of all its citizens.
The Ramaphosa-led African National Congress (ANC) aims to change the constitution to allow the government to expropriate land from white landowners without compensation. The land is to be distributed to the country’s landless black majority. Ramaphosa says the change in law is necessary in order to address racial disparities in ownership persisting more than two decades after the end of apartheid.

“This problem of land will be resolved through adherence to the rule of law and adherence to the constitution,” Ramaphosa told the European Parliament.

The widely debated land reform was proposed by the ANC last December. The draft was aimed at changing Section 25 of the South African Constitution that regards property rights.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Appropriation of land without compensation is a form of theft, period, end of discussion. And since Ramaphosa supports theft, he supports land grabs.

And President Ramaphosa, I can promise you that the first resistant seller's families, filmed on an iphone, to document their getting killed defending their land, will make top news for blogs around the world.

And I must ask you; is this the image of South Africa you really want the world to see?!? Because sir, I can assure you that somewhere down the road, such an event is going to happen, in the annexing of private property without compensation.

It will cause a real chill in foreign investment in your country.

This will NOT support "nation building"; it will support the following; a flight for their lives from the current land owners; people now owning the land, but not having not a clue as to how to make their crops successful, leading to massive crop failures, meaning more and more food will have to be imported; and a ton of bank loans to get equipment for those farms left delinquent, hitting South Africa's banks for millions of dollars of losses.

One has to wonder just how soon all this may cause a major devaluation of the South African Rand; this convergence of these events may trigger "the perfect economic tsunami" for the country.

Iran Has 'Credible' Info on Saudi Plan to Kill Top Officials – Foreign Minister

Over the weekend, The New York Times cited three unnamed sources as saying that top Saudi intelligence officials had discussed the possibility of killing Iranian “enemies” by hiring private operatives. Saudi authorities haven’t commented on the report yet.

In an interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, a London-based pan-Arab media outlet, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif claimed that Tehran was aware of Saudi Arabia’s alleged plans to have senior Iranian officials killed.

“Tehran had credible information on this,” Zarif said.

John Bolton Says "No Evidence" Implicating Crown Prince On Khashoggi Kill Tape

Hours after the New York Times reported that Turkey's long-rumored audio recording of Saudi journalist-turned dissident's murder inside the Saudi consulate included "strong evidence" that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman ordered the killing, National Security Advisor John Bolton said Tuesday that no such link existed, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Turkey Calls French Statements on Khashoggi Tapes 'Unacceptable'

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian stated Monday that France was in no possession of recordings related to the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi as far as he was aware, with the remarks provoking utmost fury in Ankara.

The Turkish side has branded French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian's statement on the Khashoggi tapes inadmissible.

"We find it unacceptable that he accused President Erdogan of 'playing political games'," communications director at the Turkish presidency Fahrettin Altun told AFP.

"Let us not forget that this case would have been already covered up had it not been for Turkey's determined efforts," Altun stressed adding that the comments do not "reflect the facts."

US Airstrikes Kill at Least 41 Civilians in Eastern Syria

Aiming to support a struggling Kurdish invasion of the area, a flurry of US-led airstrikes against the ISIS-held town of Hajin, in eastern Syria, killed at least 41 civilians, including 17 children over the past several days.

The death toll was reported by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, who warned it was likely that the toll would further rise because of the number of wounded. The US has yet to comment on the attacks.

That’s become increasingly common. US officials have been less and less transparent about their overseas operations, and nowhere is this more glaring than in Syria. In recent months, despite very well established US strikes, the Pentagon has claimed virtually no casualties in Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Because the murder of children and infants seems to be off this government's radar, I felt it a moral imperative to witness to what the US military is doing in Syria.

And if there is any notice of it, you can bet that these kids will be characterized as "collateral damage", as though their lives didn't have any meaning, or were as worthless as trash.

Pentagon launched new classified operation to support Saudi coalition in Yemen

Even as the humanitarian crisis precipitated by Saudi Arabia’s more-than-three-year war in Yemen has deepened, the Pentagon earlier this year launched a new classified operation to support the kingdom’s military operations there, according to a Defense Department document that appears to have been posted online inadvertently.

The existence of the new classified operation, code-named Yukon Journey, was partially revealed in a Defense Department inspector general report posted online earlier this month, which noted that “the Secretary of Defense designated three new named contingency operations: Operation Yukon Journey, and operations in Northwest Africa and East Africa.”

The three operations, which focus on al-Qaida and ISIS, are classified, the report notes, and the Pentagon has not publicly disclosed their location beyond saying they are in the Middle East and Africa.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: the Pentagon will continue assassinating all Yemenis still breathing possible, until Yemen is securely occupied by the Saudi military, no matter how many innocents are murdered in the process.

In providing this "cover" for the Butcher of Yemen, (His Royal Highness, the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman), the US government has telegraphed its enthusiasm for continuing to aid and abet Saudi war crimes in Yemen.

My brother and sister Americans are now citizens of a country which commits war crimes.

When I was a kid, thoughts like this never entered my head; my country was always the moral, reasonable, democratic holder of the higher ground; it is disgusting to know that this was rarely the case with this country, particularly in the 21st century.

I have to weep for what I see as the final trajectory for US foreign policy.

Trump gives highest U.S. civilian honour, the Medal of Freedom, to top GOP donor

U.S. President Donald Trump awarded the Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honour in the U.S., to seven individuals Saturday, both living and dead — one of whom has been the biggest donor to the Republican Party.

Miriam Adelson was awarded the Medal of Freedom. She is married to Sheldon Adelson, a billionaire Las Vegas casino magnate and another GOP megadonor.

The Adelsons recently contributed $113 million to GOP causes during the 2018 election cycle. Among those donations, the couple gave $25 million in July to the Senate Leadership Fund, $2 million in September to ESA Fund, $3 million in July and September to the Republican Governors Association and roughly $40 million between May and September to the Congressional Leadership Fund, according to Politico.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This award, and the Adelsons' donations, bring some things about this administration, perfectly into focus.

The Adelson money has "bought" US foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East, where everything Israel wants, it gets granted; the Palestinians continue to get slaughtered; and Iran is in the crosshairs of the US for a shooting war and regime change.

KHASHOGGI’S LAST WORDS REVEALED AS TURKISH MEDIA PLANS TO PUBLISH AUDIO DEATH TAPE

A day after President Tayyip Erdogan dropped the latest bombshell related to the Saudi murder of Jamal Khashoggi, saying Turkey had handed over an audio recording of the journalist's brutal slaying inside the Istanbul consulate to the U.S., Saudi Arabia, Germany, France and Britain, the contents of Khashoggi's last words have emerged.

Editor for the the Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah, Nazif Karaman, shared some details from the audio tape with Al Jazeera. Karaman said Khashoggi's last words were:

“I’m suffocating… Take this bag off my head, I’m claustrophobic” – according what he confirmed is the authentic audio recording from inside the Istanbul consulate.

Meanwhile at the conclusion of the centennial anniversary of WWI ceremony in Paris President Erdogan's office confirmed he and President Trump discussed the Jamal Khashoggi killing on the sidelines of the weekend events.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If this happens, I think it would be a very good thing, particularly for those Americans who still naively believe that this country's government and military "only partner with governments who act in honor of humanity, responsibility, would never commit war crimes, and would never torture and kill."

IF this happens, it is about to usher in a floodgate of information about how the US is assisting Saudi Arabia in their war crimes in Yemen.

And thinking Americans will have to ask; "why am I a citizen of a country which aids and abets Saudi war crimes in Yemen"?!?

I have to wonder just what President Trump promised Erdogan, to prevent this from possibly happening; I also hope Erdogan didn't "take the bait" about releasing this audio.

We also have a companion piece, also from blacklistednews.com, on this issue:

ISRAEL KILLS 7 DURING GAZA RAID, ISRAELI OFFICER KILLED

Israeli forces killed seven Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Sunday in air strikes and an undercover raid that Hamas said targeted one of its commanders and the Israeli military said left one of its officers dead, Reuters reports.

The Israeli incursion and air attacks drew rocket fire from the Hamas-controlled enclave, with sirens sounding in Israeli communities along the border. The military said its defences intercepted two of the launches. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage on the Israeli side of the frontier.

The violence prompted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cut short a visit to Paris, where he had been gathering with world leaders for a World War One commemoration.

Hamas said the incident began when assailants in a passing car opened fire on a group of its armed men, killing one of its commanders. Hamas gunmen gave chase as the car sped back towards the border with Israel, Hamas said in a statement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Targeted assassinations has become rather a "specialty" for the IDF and Mossad.

FACEBOOK FIRED OCULUS FOUNDER FOR HIS POLITICAL BELIEFS AND PRO-TRUMP DONATIONS

Every so often, Silicon Valley's virtue-signaling, shadowbanning, anti-conservative media titans appear in Congress or devise a quick PR campaign to show to the world just how truly impartial they are with zero liberal bias. And every single time it backfires as their true ideological face quickly emerges from behind a fake, hypocritical mask.

Take the case of former Facebook executive, Oculus co-founder and virtual-reality wunderkind Palmer Luckey, who was a rising star of Silicon Valley when, at the height of the 2016 presidential contest, he donated a modest $10,000 to an anti-Hillary Clinton group. His donation sparked a backlash from his colleagues, which then led to him being put on leave, and six months later he was fired.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mike and I have experienced this kind of career assassination first-hand.

When one asks a logical question, or have a fact-centric piece of information, the Dementoocrats will do everything in their power to try to prevent you from ever working again.
The Assassination of Vince Foster

Right after Mike asked some very embarrassing questions about a screen capture he took from home, (an image of Vince Foster, allegedly taken right after his "suicide"), and discussed it with his colleagues at a computer animation company for which he was working). There was an open air restaurant where this happened, and there were some folks working for CNN, a tenant in the building, were "leaning in".

The next thing Mike knew, he was fired for utterly no reason; all the computer animation companies in Southern California were told never to hire him, and that his "demo reel" was only work stolen from other CGI artists.

Of course, this was all brilliantly done in a way which could never point back the "Gruesome Twosome" who made it happen. But it became the "new normal" for the Dementoocrats.

Fortunately for Mike - and us - they ultimately failed in this endeavor; but that is not to say that we didn't experience a rocky times while their campaign was initially in full bloom. Unfortunately, we didn't have the money to hire the kind of "dream team" lawyers Mr. Lucky had.

Mohammed Bin Salman: Too Big To Fail

A month after the murder of Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul, an international consensus is emerging about how to respond: deplore the crime, demand justice, but don’t cut ties with the kingdom. In particular, don’t cut off Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the man widely believed to have ordered the killing of the dissident journalist.

The ambitious, impetuous crown prince, known as MbS, is probably damaged goods as a person. He’s unlikely to receive another lavish welcome in Silicon Valley any time soon. But he has become the diplomatic equivalent of some big banks: too big to fail.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looking at the lack of consequences after the assassination happened, (not to mention the thousands of dead and dying, courtesy of Saudi Arabia's invasion of Yemen), I think Lippman is entirely correct in his assessment.

UN FOOD STORAGE FACILITY TARGETED AS SAUDI TROOPS ADVANCE ON HODEIDA

At least 15 civilians were killed on Thursday after Saudi-led coalition aircraft and artillery carried out strikes against a residential area in Yemen’s strategic western province of Hodeida and the border areas of Sadaa.

A local source told MintPress News that Saudi jets conducted airstrikes against the al-Jabaliyah area in the al-Tuheita district in southern Hodeida on Thursday afternoon, killing 45-year-old Hassan al Ameri and his four daughters Sumiah, Hunood, Laila and Hend, who ranged in age from eight months to nine years old. Al Ameri’s twelve-year-old son, Ali, was also killed in the attack.

On Friday, three women were killed when Saudi border guards targeted their village in the Razeh district with artillery fire. The village has been under intensive artillery and missile attack since the Saudi-led coalition, supported by the United States, renewed its large-scale offensive weeks ago.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am frankly waiting for the Butcher of Yemen (AKA, Saudi Crown Prince Bin Salman) to order a carpet bombing of all civilians left at Hodeida, but leaving the port infrastructure intact.

REWARD OFFERED IN THE MYSTERIOUS KILLING OF FORMER WORLD BANK ECONOMIST

The police and family of Johan de Leede have announced a new reward for information concerning the mysterious killing of 83-year old de Leede, a retired World Bank economist, in his Fairfax County home around 1 a.m. on March 11, 2016.

Someone shot and killed him from outside a living room window and vanished into the night.

The case is all the more baffling because de Leede was living a quiet life, tending to his garden and sailing at his home on an idyllic stretch of the Potomac River on the Mason Neck Peninsula near Lorton, Va. He was surrounded by a large family.

And so it was on March 11, 2016. Johan de Leede had enjoyed a meal with his wife and house guests that Friday night. Family members said everyone except him had gone to bed around 11:30 p.m. He had settled into a chair in his living room with a banana and a warm glass of milk, his nightly ritual. Around 1 a.m., his wife awoke to the sound of gunfire...

Webmaster's Commentary:

Whatever he had gained information on, was apparently explosive enough to get him assassinated in his own home.

One has to wonder; what was going south in the world of the World Bank, right around this time?!?

Could it have been the intimate knowledge of what was happening here, and why?!?

Is Jim Young Kim destroying the World Bank?!?
We can only speculate; but someone did NOT want Johan de Leede to share, in any way, what privileged information he may have had.

U.S. arms exports up 13 percent over 2017 as Trump champions deals

- U.S. arms sales to foreign governments rose 13 percent to $192.3 billion in the year ending Sept. 30, the State Department said on Thursday, a result of looser restrictions on sales coupled with high-level efforts to close deals.

President Donald Trump wants to make the United States, already dominant in the global weapons trade, an even bigger arms merchant to the world, U.S. officials have said, despite concerns among human rights and arms control advocates.

The largest U.S. arms contractors, who sell ships, tanks, airplanes, missiles and other goods to foreign militaries, include Boeing Co (BA.N), Lockheed Martin Corp (LMT.N), Raytheon Co (RTN.N), General Dynamics Corp (GD.N) and Northrop Grumman Corp (NOC.N).

The increase came in part because the Trump administration rolled out a new “Buy American” plan in April that relaxed restrictions on sales while encouraging U.S. officials to take a bigger role in increasing business overseas for the U.S. weapons industry

Webmaster's Commentary:

I never used to believe that the US would tolerate a President masquerading as its Merchant of Death in Chief; now, it appears we have one.

US Wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan Killed 500,000 People

Brown University has released a new study on the cost in lives of America’s Post-9/11 Wars, in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The study estimates between 480,000 and 507,000 people were killed in the course of the three conflicts.

This includes combatant deaths and civilian deaths in fighting and war violence. Civilians make up over half of the roughly 500,000 killed, with both opposition fighters and US-backed foreign military forces each sustaining in excess of 100,000 deaths as well.

This is admittedly a dramatic under-report of people killed in the wars, as it only attempts to calculate those killed directly in war violence, and not the massive number of others civilians who died from infrastructure damage or other indirect results of the wars. The list also excludes the US war in Syria, which itself stakes claims to another 500,000 killed since 2011.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This study reminds me that, as Karl Marx so succinctly stated, all wars are economic in origin.

In Afghanistan, you have the pipelines; the rare earth minerals, and the poppy crops; in Iraq, you have the pipelines; and in Pakistan, you have an embarrassment of resources: Natural Resources of Pakistan

The US government's MO, in more recent years, post 9/11, has been to destabilize, regime change, insuring that they are installing a US-centric government, then selling that countries only through "approved corporations, and only in US dollars.

But that even one person dies, let alone numbers like these, are appallingly immoral, and as though the US government, collectively, will be able to continue these practices with complete impunity.

Unfortunately, however, as history has taught us, the US government may find itself on a "bridge too far" from one of these future military misadventures, and unable to extricate itself from the potentially very brutal results of these wars.

SAUDI ARABIA TO PAY FINANCIAL COMPENSATION TO SLAIN JOURNALIST’S FAMILY, FIANCÉE

Saudi Arabia had informed Turkey that it would pay financial compensation to the family and Turkish fiancee of Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi who was murdered inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul by a Saudi hit-squad on October, 2, Al- Jazeera channel reported a Turkish official as saying.

The Turkish official said the Turkish authorities have evidence on the fate of Khashoggi’s body, but the Saudi authorities are putting obstacles to reach it.

According to the source, when the Saudi prosecutor, Saudi al- Mojaab was asked about the fate of Khashoggi’s body, he said he had no information about the matter.

The source added that the suspects’ statement handed by al- Mojaab to the Turkish authorities were useless and did not help achieve any progress in the investigation.

Masquerading Reforms: The Tricks of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman

The surgical dismembering of Jamal Khashoggi has sent the military establishments of several countries into a tizz. Arms manufacturers are wondering whether this is an inconvenient blip, a ruffling moral reminder about what they are dealing with. Autocratic regimes indifferent to the lives of journalists are wondering whether the fuss taken about all this is merely the fuss endured, till the next bloody suppression. But importantly, those states notionally constituting the West may have to reconsider the duping strategy that the House of Saud has executed with the deft efficiency of the dedicated axeman.

Webmaster's Commentary:

My sense of this is, that the Butcher of Yemen, AKA Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, will be allowed to stand, and never charged for this crime; this is because the US and the UK do not want to give up all that revenue for their weapons which they have sold to Saudi Arabia for his use in the creating the expanding genocide in Yemen.

Additionally, Israel is siding with Saudi Arabia against Iran, so one can see how this is sorting out, in terms of who will be aligned with whom in the next coming regional war.

Some poor underschmuck will be blamed, and punished, and just like magic, the Butcher of Yemen will have been wiped clean of his deeds, with an extra dose of corporate sales-bleach added to the last spin cycle.

But I would gently suggest that when people in power start to mingle with sociopaths in power with malicious intent, that malicious intent rubs off, and becomes a justification for that person to start materializing, and executing, some malicious intent of their own, which will most probably not be to the benefit of the country over which they are leaders.

It very deeply concerns me that President Trump's BFFs in the Middle East, are the Butcher of Yemen,Crown prince bin Salman, and the Butcher of Gaza, Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu.

State Dept: US to Impose New Set of Sanctions Against Russia Over Skripal Attack

The United States intends to move forward with imposing additional sanctions against Russia for the attack against Russian double agent Sergei Skripal as required by law, State Department Spokesperson Heather Nauert told Sputnik on Tuesday.

"Today, the Department informed Congress we could not certify that the Russian Federation met the conditions required by the Chemical and Biological Weapons Control and Warfare Elimination Act of 1991," Nauert said. "We intend to proceed in accordance with the terms of the CBW Act, which directs the implementation of additional sanctions."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but isn't the ultimate authority for inspecting for chemical weapons on this planet done by the CWC, the Chemical Weapons Convention, and administered by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons ?!?The financial sanctions, if they are to be placed against Russia, would be under the OPCW's control, not the US government's control.

And is this not precisely same body which reported the United States in non-compliance in 2017?!? The article states:

US Fails to Comply with Chemical Weapons Convention While Using Internationally Banned Weapons The article goes on to state:

Russia strictly complies with its commitments in accordance with the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction (the Chemical Weapons Convention – CWC). On June 12, it announced that all sarin chemical agent stockpiles had been destroyed. Before that Russia had also eliminated the stockpiles of mustard gas and soman. All in all, Russia has destroyed 99% of all stockpiles.

"The United States promised, but failed, to destroy its stocks by 2012. The complete destruction is expected to take place only by the end of 2023 at best. The efforts to neutralize the remaining munitions have slowed to a trickle in recent years. The Army’s Pueblo Chemical Depot in southern Colorado still has a long way to go to full operational capacity expected to be reached no earlier than 2018. The Blue Grass Army Depot near Richmond, Kentucky, is being built and is expected to start operations only somewhere in 2023 – roughly eleven years after the date the US promised to destroy all the stockpiles, and eight, may be nine, years after the Russian Federation."
The US was given an extension until 2023 by the Arms Control Association until 2023 to get rid of its Category 1 chemical weapons.
"

There has been absolutely zero evidence that Russia has not fully complied with this destruction of their chemical weapons as promised: this is just more propaganda, and demonization, functioning as a prelude toward a war against Russia.

Wow, attempting to lie to to the American public and the world, when actual facts on the ground prove the polar opposite of your statements, must be a great job; that's why you are on President Trump's short list as the US Envoy to the UN!! Congrats!!

The U.S. Ignores Its Vietnamese Victims to This Day

Nguyen Van Tu grasps my hands in thanks as we end the interview. His story is part of a hidden, if not forbidden, history that few in the U.S. know. It’s a story that was written in blood in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos during the 1960s and 1970s and now is being rewritten in Afghanistan and Iraq. It’s a story to which new episodes are added each day that U.S. forces roll armored vehicles down other people’s streets, kick down other people’s doors, carry out attacks in other people’s neighborhoods and occupy other people’s countries.

It took nearly 40 years for word of Nguyen Van Tu’s hardships at the hands of the United States to filter back to America. Perhaps a few more Americans will feel remorse as a result. But who will come forward to take responsibility for all this suffering? And who will give Pham Van Chap a new leg?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Being one of the world's most war-centric despots on the planet means, never having to say you're sorry; until the loss or losses are so horrific, that the wars ultimately grind to a stop, because the people of the US will not allow it, as they did during the peaceful, massive demonstrations against the war in Vietnam.

So far, that hasn't happened for the US; but coming wars I see, potentially against Russia; China; and Iran, may well be the turning point for the US, creating either total devastation, or a complete economic collapse for this country. Either way, it may not not end well.

AT UN, SAUDI VOWS TO PROSECUTE KHASHOGGI’S ASSASSINS

A Saudi diplomat yesterday confirmed to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) that the kingdom is investigating the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, adding that those responsible for his death will be prosecuted.

President of the Human Rights Commission of Saudi Arabia Bandar Al Aiban said: “The prosecution initiated the necessary investigations to unveil all the facts, bring all the murderers to justice, and punish those guilty of killing Khashoggi.”

After denying Khashoggi’s death for three weeks, Saudi Arabia confessed he was killed in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on 2 October.

Saudi Attorney General, Saud Bin Abdullah bin Mubarak, visited Istanbul last month as part of the investigation into Khashoggi’s assassination.

Khashoggi was last seen entering the consulate in early October. Turkey says it has audio recordings which prove he was strangled then dismembered however it has yet to release the evidence.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Oh, yes, the Saudi Government and the House of Saud will work tirelessly, to prove who actually iced Khashoggi; folks, this is another great "lipstick on a pig" moment for the world, brought to you, courtesy of the House of Saud and its minions, and an horrific embarrassment to the US and UK, because they will not let anything, even an assassination, get in the way of the money their defense industries make, selling the Saudis just as many bombs, bullets, and fighter jets, as it wants.

This, of course, insures that hundreds, if not thousands more assassinations of Yemeni infants, children, women, and the medically fragile elderly. But hell, who's counting, as long as those checks for weapons don't bounce, right?!?

Saudi money talks....and apparently, has the stunning ability to completely obliviate any last, possible vestige of morality in the governments of both the US and UK.

HOME RESIDENT KILLED BY MARYLAND POLICE TRYING CONFISCATE HIS GUNS

Foxbaltimore.com is reporting that a Maryland resident was killed by police as they tried to enforce a “Red Flag Gun Confiscation Order” at 5:17 am in the morning on Monday, November 5th, 2018.

Information is incomplete at this time but according to Fox Baltimore;

“Anne Arundel County Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred Monday morning in Ferndale.

Police spokesman Jacklyn Davis said officers responded to 103 Linwood Avenue at around 5:15 a.m. to serve an “emergency risk protective order,” also known as the red flag order.

The man answered the door armed with a handgun and a struggle ensued as officers attempted to disarm the man, Davis said.

During the struggle, the man’s handgun discharged and police fired shots, Davis said.

Davis says no Anne Arundel County officers were injured in the struggle. The suspect was pronounced dead on scene.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

When any police department wants "confrontation" they will get the confrontation they seek, as in this instance.

Police used to be trained to use psychological techniques to encourage someone to put down their weapon; apparently, this is no longer favored; just plug the guy, kill him, period, end of discussion....and life goes on.

WHY PAKISTAN ARMY KILLED ‘FATHER OF TALIBAN’?

On Friday evening, Maulana Sami-ul-Haq was found dead in his Rawalpindi residence. The assassination was as gruesome as the murder of Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. He was stabbed multiple times in chest, stomach and forehead.

Sami-ul-Haq was widely known as the “father of the Taliban” because he was a renowned religious cleric who used to administer a sprawling religious seminary, Darul Uloom Haqqania, in Akora Khattak in northwestern Pakistan. During the Soviet-Afghan War in the 1980s, the seminary was used for training and arming the Afghan so-called “Mujahideen” (freedom fighters), though it is now used exclusively for imparting religious education. Many of the well-known Taliban militant commanders received their education in his seminary.

UTAH MAYOR KILLED IN KABUL THE LATEST VICTIM OF PERPETUAL US PRESENCE IN AFGHANISTAN

The US serviceman killed in an insider attack in Kabul is identified as Brent Taylor, a mayor from Utah. While shocking to some back at home, this is only the latest such incident in a war that even top brass now call unwinnable.
North Ogden city mayor Major Brent Taylor was deployed to Afghanistan with the Utah National Guard at the beginning of this year. Taylor’s trip to Afghanistan was the fourth such deployment for the father of seven and was due to last one year.

Instead, Taylor was gunned down in an “apparent insider attack” in Kabul on Saturday. The gunman was reportedly a member of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces – whom Taylor was deployed to train and advise. The gunman managed to wound another US service member, before other Afghan forces killed him.

Taylor’s death was mourned by Utah Lieutenant Governor Spencer Cox, who wrote that the Afghan war “has once again cost us the best blood of a generation.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Condolences to this man's family and friends.

But this death again, begs the questions, as to why the US government is still fighting an unwinnable war in Afghanistan for 17 year, when the people the US military trains turn on their trainers?!?

And to President Trump's people who may, on occasion, read this blog, I implore you to consider the reality, that doing something precisely the same way, over and over, yet expecting a different outcome, is a classic definition of insanity.

And this continued deployment of American and NATO Troops, has to be one of the most insane things I have ever seen this country do.

Had President Bush a modicum of respect for world history (which, of course, he believed he absolutely did not need as president), he would have understood why Afghanistan has been characterized as the "graveyard of empires" by those who had tried, and failed, to conquer the country.

The only guy who actually managed to hang on to Afghanistan, and that was only three years, through a series of dynastic marriages, and political alignments, was Alexander the Great.

So, we are finding ourselves in an unwinnable war, in a country which hates its US/NATO Overlords, whose people cannot be "pacified" no matter how many times the US remotely bombs its civilians in wedding ceremonies, and the Unhinged, Surveilled, State of Amerika, has utterly no exit strategy in sight.

This is a pretty damned lousy state of affairs, but one which must be met with fresh thinking, that still gives the US MOST of what it wanted from the war in the first place.

First, all US and NATO personnel need to be evacuated from Afghanistan, as quickly as is safely possible. The US should then negotiate (a word with which you are not unfamiliar, President Trump?!?) with whatever government is still standing in Kabul, for pipeline rights, the rare earth elements rights development, and, of course, the rights to the poppy fields, which have been doing a brisk business, after the US and NATO started their occupation.

You will recall, Mr. President, that it was the blinkety-blank pipeline routes which were the bone of contention between the US and the then-Taliban government, as the cost of those pipelines was then characterized by the Bush administration as "too high".

But of course, the lives of our military who died, or were maimed for life, were of utterly no consequence to the Bush administration, in their grab for these pipelines, to give US and favored international companies control over the money those pipelines represented, and all to be sold only for US dollars.

When Karl Marx made the observation that "all wars are economic in origin", one can see, very clearly, that control of these pipelines was not to bring representative democracy to the country, or defend the "American Way of Life"; it was all about the money those pipelines represented.

To those of you with young men and women who are thinking about joining the US military, please share this with them; they have the right, when they are dispatched to some hell-hole or another during their tour of duty, to understand precisely what, and whom, they are fighting for.

US, Israel ‘concerned’ Bin Salman may be unable to advance normalisation

US and Israeli officials “have expressed concern” that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman “may have less leeway to pursue the gradual warming of relations between Israel and its Arab neighbours”, following the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, reported the Washington Post.

According to the paper, US President Donald Trump’s chief Mideast envoy, son-in-law Jared Kushner, “has discussed with diplomats and others how the crown prince’s position might affect US plans”.

The Post observed how “Israeli officials have become more vocal about separating the killing from the kingdom’s strategic value.”

“What happened in the Istanbul consulate was horrendous and it should be duly dealt with,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday.

Israel Breaks Silence: Khashoggi Murder "Horrendous" But Iran The Bigger Problem - Netanyahu

One interesting outcome to the Saudis brazenly murdering journalist Jamal Khashoggi is that world leaders and the determined allies of Saudi Arabia have dropped all pretense of finesse when discussing the matter, such as when President Trump told Fox News last month that while Khashoggi's death was tragic and should be investigated, the prospect of blocking arms sales to the kingdom is "very tough pill to swallow for our country" because American jobs are on the line.

Another world leader who's been blunt on ensuring his relationship with the Saudis weather the storm of media and international outrage is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who argued in public statements this week that while the killing of the Saudi journalist at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul was “horrendous,” stability in Saudi Arabia is vital to global security.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump staunchly believes that "war is good for business" here in the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika; so he is absolutely fine with Prince Bin Salman having given the order to assassinate Khashoggi, just as is Netanyahu.

But President Trump, what is the moral cost for this country, upon having sold Saudi Arabia, God knows, how many bullets and bombs with which to assassinate innocent Yemeni people?!?

I think your "advisors" are very happy to misdirect your attention very far away from the truth of what the Saudis have been doing with these bombs and bullets; but you can be sure, as a Christian pacifist activist, that I will not. This is what the Saudi war in Yemen is looking like, through the eyes of Yemenite civilians:

Images of Yemeni children, killed and maimed for life, courtesy of US-enabled bombing runs

Yemeni children have been dying, courtesy of US-enabled Saudi port blockades, so no food can get it. Famine has become weaponized by the Saudis, as an act of war against them. A haunted look in the eyes of Amal Hussain, an emaciated 7-year-old lying silently on a hospital bed in northern Yemen, seemed to sum up the dire circumstances of her war-torn country.

And because of US/Saudi Arabia destruction of clean water resources in Yemen, cholera has claimed thousands of lives here.
Cholera/Malnutrition in Yemen

Mr. President, the hard truth here, is that we are enabling Saudi war crimes in Yemen, and there is just no flipping other way to say this.

I know Sec Def Mattis has been asking for a peace conference in 30 days, but this is only because the world now sees this country as the collective, dystopian killing machine that it has become, trampling foreign countries underfoot to make sure that their resources are only sold in the US dollar.

Mr. President, you have one hell of a lot of soul searching about the US position regarding Yemen, and various other foreign entanglements which have gone "mammary glands up" in the US government's rush to control the world's resources.

The Next Generation of Warfare: Genetically Engineered Viruses: Mac Slavo

Genetically engineered viruses could very well become the next generation of warfare. Deadly viruses modified in labs could be released eliminating entire communities of people as they infect making them a valuable asset to militaries worldwide.

As dystopian as that sounds, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is already working on a project called Insect Allies which will use insects to infect crops with genetically modified viruses that edit the crops’ genetic profile to make them more resilient against disease, as well as natural and manufactured threats to the food supply.

Netanyahu: Saudi Arabia deserves a pass for Khashoggi murder

Saudi Arabia should get a pass for murdering US-based journalist Jamal Khashoggi because the kingdom is an ally of the Jewish state against Iran.

“What happened at the Istanbul consulate was horrendous and it should be duly dealt with. But at the same time, it is very important for the stability of the region and the world that Saudi Arabia remain stable,” Netanyahu said in Bulgaria, the Times of Israel reported.

Khashoggi reportedly was strangled and then dismembered on Oct. 2 by a Saudi assassination squad under orders from Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman because the journalist was critical of the Saudi regime.

Netanyahu declared that his killers should somehow be punished, but that his overriding concern was the kingdom’s role in thwarting Iran’s Mideast ambitions, which include the destruction of Israel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Hey, it's just a common courtesy for one geopolitical butcher (of Gaza, Netanyahu) to another geopolitical Butcher ( of Yemen, bin Salman), to "sell" the concept publicly, that he should be given a pass on both the assassination of Khashoggi, and the assassination of tens of thousands of Yemenis, because it is "good for regional stability."

IN THE MIDST OF CRISIS, FDA APPROVES OPIOID DRUG 10X STRONGER THAN FENTANYL FUNDED BY DOD

The FDA has approved the rollout of a new opioid drug up to 1000 times stronger than morphine, despite the opioid crisis that is currently killing more Americans than any other cause of accidental death.

The agency sided with its Anesthetic and Analgesic Advisory Panel, which voted 10-3 to approve Dsuvia, a sublingual tablet form of sufentanil, against the recommendation of its chairman. At 5-10 times the strength of fentanyl, sufentanil is 500-1000 times stronger than morphine, and will supposedly only be administered to treat acute pain in medically-supervised settings.

Fentanyl, too, is available only by prescription, yet a significant quantity is manufactured in illegal labs or diverted to the street, where it regularly kills opioid addicts who aren’t even aware they are taking it.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF you ever had a doubt in your mind who - or what - actually owns the FDA, the approval of this drug, given its very limited-use capabilities, should give you at least a tiny clue; it is the drug companies themselves.

I have zero doubt that shortly after this drug's approval, it will be reverse-engineered by chemists who work for the drug criminals, and available on the streets in relatively no time, adding to the hideous statistics on US narcotic addiction and death.

Senators urge Trump to suspend nuclear energy talks with Saudi Arabia

Both Republican and Democratic senators asked U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday to suspend civilian nuclear energy talks with Saudi Arabia after the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Five Republican U.S. lawmakers, led by Senator Marco Rubio, said in a letter to Trump they would use the Atomic Energy Act to block any U.S.-Saudi nuclear agreements if Trump did not cut off talks.

“The ongoing revelations about the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, as well as certain Saudi actions related to Yemen and Lebanon, have raised further serious concerns about the transparency, accountability, and judgement of current decision makers in Saudi Arabia,” the senators wrote.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"....certain Saudi actions related to Yemen..."

Certain Saudi actions, like the bombing of innocent children, the imposition of a port blockade, creating malnutrition, and the outbreak of (possibly weaponised cholera visited upon Yemen?!?

The US government was aiding and abetting Saudi war crimes in Yemen for 3 literally bloody years, and NOW, they are disavowing the US military's involvement and potential nuclear involvement with Saudi Arabia?!?

Saudi Arabia, under the watch of the Butcher of Yemen, AKA Crown Prince Bin Salman, has acted out its genocidal intentions toward the Yemeni people, which the US aided and abetted.

Where were you guys at that point, please?!? No where to be seen, right?!?,

While stopping US/Saudi cooperation in the nuclear realm is a very wise thing to have happen right now (although the Saudis have been making noises about working with Pakistan, militarily, and could probably get started down a nuclear path that way) it is apparent that this country has lost its moral path by colluding with the Saudis in war crimes in Yemen.

And we have a companion piece, from globalresearch.ca, to consider:
Hollow US calls for ending war in Yemen it Launched

The Fall of the House of Saud?

This is an enormous breakthrough for the anti-interventionist movement, closing off one of the major spigots of murderous conflict left open by the previous administration. It confirms the high hopes of those of us who bet the America First anti-globalist faction would win out against the pro-Saudi group centered around Jared Kushner.

There was a debate within the administration over US support for the Yemen war, with the hardcore nationalists opposed, but they were outvoted by the generals, whose closeness to the Kingdom is traditional. Yet the Khashoggi killing wasn’t the only factor dooming the Saudi lobby to defeat: it was also the slow drip of atrocity stories, disturbing photos of starving children – and a famine deliberately induced by the Saudis.

Army says it didn’t know Palestinians targeted on border were minors

The Israeli military on Wednesday said its soldiers did not know at the time that three Palestinians targeted in an airstrike while behaving suspiciously near the Gaza border earlier this week were minors.

The Israel Defense Forces said the teenagers — aged 13 to 15 — were seen sabotaging the security fence surrounding the coastal enclave on Sunday night and digging in the ground in a manner that resembled cases when explosive devices are planted along the border.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The IDF is saying this as though it wouldn't have shot them dead, had they known they were minors; that is utter and complete codswallop, and the whole world knows it. These people will say anything to justify the murder of Palestinian kids.

FORMER CIA EMPLOYEE ACCUSED OF LEAKING TO WIKILEAKS DESCRIBES INHUMANE TREATMENT IN DETENTION

4
Josh Schulte, a former CIA employee accused of leaking “Vault 7” files to WikiLeaks, claims the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York has put him in solitary confinement. He says officials will not allow him to contact his attorney or work on his defense.

He was charged on June 18 with thirteen offenses that included allegedly violating the Espionage Act by stealing classified information from the CIA. It also included a prior charge involving child pornography.

A handwritten letter [PDF] from Schulte to Judge Paul Crotty was publicly filed on October 29 and then removed.

He describes how his days consist of “nothing but attempted meditation. My fellow slaves constantly scream, pound, and claw at the cages attempting to get attention for basic needs to be fulfilled. I count myself lucky to be able to eat.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Welcome to the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika, where people can be locked away indefinitely, only on an accusation, but not with any trial by a jury of their peers.

This is the polar opposite of the concept of "innocent until proven guilty", which used to be the bedrock of United States jurisprudence; but now, apparently, Government judges and attorneys can do this with impunity, while sharpening their legal knives for the purpose of getting a real conviction, no matter is the person being held is innocent... or not.

DARPA SEEKS FAA APPROVAL FOR MILITARY DRONES OVER AMERICAN CITIES

Just a little over 10 years after drone surveillance inside U.S. borders was declared a conspiracy theory, it is now an indisputable fact of life. So, too, are military grade drones along the “border,” which in reality constitutes a 100-mile-wide swath that encircles the continental United States and 2/3 of its population.

According to a new report from Defense One, this level of access is still seen as a restriction by the DARPA-directed military apparatus. As new forms of autonomous aircraft take to the skies such as the latest Blackhawk helicopter drones that could be ready by 2019, DARPA and aircraft developers want permission to fly over large cities as needed. Utilizing a new artificial intelligence system that is literally called MATRIX, developers see an opportunity for more flexibility in potential use. Of course, surveillance isn’t mentioned among those uses:

Webmaster's Commentary:

This will lead to 24/7 surveillance on every man, woman, and child in this country; and possibly, if the government doesn't particularly like and individual and what they have to say, these units can be perfectly outfitted for extrajudicial assassinations.

When it comes to law, such a surveillance system can be ruthlessly lawless; no judge; no jury; no presumption of innocence; just death, for the outspoken and those with alternative facts and/or opinions.

2 asylum-seeking Saudi women found dead in the United States

The New York Police Department (NYPD) is investigating the deaths of two Saudi sisters after discovering the bodies of both young women washed up on the Hudson River bank last week.

According to The Guardian, the corpses of Tala, 16, and her sister Rotana Farea, 22, were found on the river bank on October 24, bound to each other by a duct tape, more than 360 kilometres away from their residence in the city of Fairfax, Virginia.

Tala and Rotana have gone missing since August. However, the girls’ mother told the investigators who were looking into the case, the day before discovering the bodies, that an official in the Embassy of Saudi Arabia contacted her and ordered the family to return to the kingdom because her daughters had sought political asylum in the United States.

SAUDI EXECUTES INDONESIA MAID WHO KILLED ‘ABUSIVE’ EMPLOYER IN SELF-DEFENCE

Saudi Arabia has come under fire once again after it executed an Indonesian female migrant worker without notifying her family or the Indonesian government.

Seven years after being sentenced to death for killing her employer in an act she claimed was self-defence from sexual abuse, Tuti Tursilawati was executed on Monday in the city of Taif.

President of Indonesia Joko Widodo criticised the decision today, saying the government has officially protested to Riyadh and demanded better protection for Indonesian workers in the country.

Tursilawati was executed just a week after Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Adel Al-Jubeir, met with his Indonesian counterpart and President Widodo in Jakarta to discuss migrant workers’ rights.

Webmaster's Commentary:

She should never have gone to Saudi Arabia for work in the first place.

Women are completely disposable here; and particularly Asian women hoping to find work, where none really exists for them at all back home, are considered the most disposable.

Saudi men are of the opinion that women in their country can be dealt with in any way they chose, including abusing them, secure that the government will do absolutely nothing to them if they indulge in these kinds of practices, because these are "behavioural norms" for men who come from families with money.

This Saudi attitude toward women, coupled with this execution, should be a cautionary tale writ large, for Asian women hoping to get a better job in Saudi Arabia, where the risks definitely outweigh the benefits.

I would never, this lifetime, willingly, go to Riyadh; I would, however, love to see Tehran, because of the incredible history, art, and music, and science I know I would find there. I would love to talk with their young people, and see what dreams they have for their future, and how they see themselves shaping that future.

U.S. Military’s Self-Flying Helicopter Program Passes Critical Test

After nearly four years of research and development, the U.S.military is closer to helicopters that can fly themselves through unpredictable terrain and execute difficult missions with virtually no human input. It’s part of the Pentagon’s Aircrew Labor In-Cockpit Automation System, or ALIAS, program. Helicopter maker Sikorsky passed a key test earlier this month during an experiment at Fort Eustis, Virginia, involving an S-76B helicopter. The test demonstrated that Sikorsky’s software, called MATRIX, could take off, fly in difficult winds and at low altitude, avoid wires and other obstacles, and even make determinations about whether or not it is safe to land in one place or another. The goal, now, is to integrate the technology onto a Black Hawk helicopter next year.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As awesome as this technology has to be, I wish our country were more capable of creating AI systems which heal, rather than shoot to kill, or maim, which is most probably how these systems will be advanced.

Saudi Death Squad Controlled by Crown Prince. Report

Reportedly a Saudi tiger hit squad was formed in 2017 by crown prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS) to covertly assassinate regime critics internally and abroad.

Its existence is well known to US and other Western intelligence – comprised of dozens of highly skilled intelligence, security, and military operatives – loyal to MBS.

Methods include abductions and murders the way Khashoggi was eliminated; staged car, plane, or helicopter crashes; fires claiming targeted individuals, poisonings, or administering lethal injections during routine hospital or other medical visits.

Key MBS loyalists from his personal security detail reportedly run hit squad operations – taking orders either from him directly or someone relaying his instructions.

COPS HAD A WARRANT TO ARREST A STALKER. NINE DAYS LATER, HE WAS FREE, AND SHE WAS DEAD.

Rosemarie Reilly repeatedly begged police for help in the month leading up to her death. Her ex-boyfriend, Jeremy Kelley, had beaten her and held a gun to her head, then started following her, she told them, but police didn’t take him into custody. Nine days after an arrest warrant was issued, Kelley tracked Reilly down at a friend’s house. In the middle of the night, he dragged her into the street by her hair and shot her multiple times in the torso before killing himself. The 21-year-old Michigan nursing student died at the scene.

Two years later, Reilly’s mother is demanding that law enforcement take responsibility for her daughter’s death and alleging in a lawsuit that they went easy on Kelley because his father was a cop. Pamela Reilly, 55, who filed a lawsuit against Michigan’s Ottawa County and several members of local police forces Oct. 5, told BuzzFeed News that the lack of urgency police showed in response to her daughter’s pleas for help led to her murder.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This never, ever should have happened, period, end of discussion.

And BTW, where the hell was Attorney General Jeff Sessions, allegedly our "top cop", who is generally fond telling police officers that there is a "war against them" when things like this happen?!?

In his usual, preferred situation of "nowhere to be found", when it comes to cases like this.

US Holds Thousands of Syrian Refugees Hostage, Establishes Military Bases in Northern Syria

Syria is Washington’s war, launched by Obama in March 2011, escalated by Trump, no end of it in prospect. It’s all about wanting pro-Western puppet rule replacing the Syrian government, isolating Iran, ahead of a similar scheme to topple its government.

Most Americans are mindless about what’s going on.

Syria is in the eye of the storm, war in its eighth year, Washington using ISIS and other terrorists as imperial proxies, supplemented by US-led terror-bombing, is responsible for massacring thousands of Syrian civilians.

US forces operate in Syria illegally, occupying northern and southern territory on “18 bases in the northeastern and eastern provinces of” the country, according to Fars News.

Russian military analyst Vladimir Kozin said

“the US is training terrorists in 19 military bases in Syria.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Gaza's drinking water spurs blue baby syndrome, serious illnesses

This article is the first of a two-part series on Gaza’s water crisis. The second, which examines solutions to Gaza’s water and health catastrophe, was published on Tuesday, October 30.

Gaza - The unshaven doctor with circles under his eyes enters the children's ward at Al Nassar hospital in Gaza City. It's a Thursday evening, almost the weekend. The ward is bleak and eerily quiet, but for the occasional wail of an infant.

But in recent months Dr Abu Samia has seen sharp rises in gastroenteritis, kidney disease, paediatric cancer, marasmus - a disease of severe malnutrition appearing in infants – and "blue baby syndrome", an ailment causing bluish lips, face, and skin, and blood the colour of chocolate.

Before, the doctor says, he saw "one or two cases" of blue baby syndrome in five years. Now it's the opposite - five cases in one year.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israelis have a multitude of ways toward insuring that Palestinians don't survive for very long; prohibition of clean drinking water for Gaza's children, is one of those ways.

Depriving anyone of clean water, is a act criminal.

But then again, what else would one expect of a wretchedly apartheid, self-proclaimed theocracy with nuclear weapons?!?

America’s Bloody Ally

The U.S. continues to support the dictatorship of Saudi Arabia—as a key ally—even after the horrific murder of Jamal Khashoggi and the horrendous five-year bombing campaign on Yemen, writes Ann Wright.

The latest information leaking from the Turkish government indicates that the dismemberment of Khashoggi was filmed and Skyped to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s senior aide, Saud al-Qahtani, who has since been reportedly sacked from his position. Al-Qahtani was reportedly Mohammad bin Salman’s right-hand adviser/enforcer in the kidnapping and interrogation of Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri and of the detention and shakedown of many wealthy Saudi elite in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Riyadh.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Some media can certainly be portrayed in this way; but not all. And I hate the issue of ANYONE getting body slammed, for any reason.

But having said that, Ann Wright is one of the most principled, and moral woman, I have ever met, when she did speak here on Oahu, at an event Mike and I attended. I just wish there were more in government and Congress who had her strength of courage and witness; sadly, she is the exception which proves the rule, unfortunately.

THE U.S. LOST A KEY ALLY IN SOUTHERN AFGHANISTAN. BUT ABDUL RAZIQ WAS NO HERO.

Raziq was a classic product of America’s failed policy in Afghanistan, wherein personalities have been propped up over — and sometimes at the expense of — institutions. Of the $557 billion America spent in Afghanistan from 2001 to 2011, just 5.4 percent went toward governance. Most of the money was spent on security, which enriched men like Raziq.

WATCH: FAMILY SUES FOR $25 MILLION AFTER COPS EXECUTE UNARMED ACCOUNTANT, SHOOTING HIM IN THE HEAD

Fairfax County, Virginia – Earlier this year, Dash Cam footage was released that shows police shooting and killing an unarmed man they claimed was responsible for a hit-and-run. However, the man was actually the victim of a traffic accident and the video shows that he then became the victim of murder by police. After being tight lipped for nearly a year on the incident, the police report has finally been released, showing that the victim was unarmed. Now, the taxpayers could be held liable to the tune of $25 million.

Bijan Ghaisar, 25, died 10 days after he was shot in the head four times by U.S. Park Police, according to the family.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And the consistent question one must ask of the top legal-eagle in chief, Jeff Sessions, is, where the hell were you, sir, when this horrific situation happened?!?

Giving another "victory prance" speech, perchance, at a law enforcement fund raiser, where you repeat, ad nauseum, that it is the police against whom a war is being conducted?!?

Unless, and until, you are able to stop this kind of behaviour, allegedly in the name of those values, "protect and serve", you do not have a leg upon which to stand, making these accusations of police being the target.

NATION HYPNOTIZED IN HORROR BY TOY BOMBS WHILE KILLING CIVILIANS WITH REAL ONES

And of course it is a good thing that nobody has been hurt by these devices. Obviously targeting anyone with packages containing explosive materials is terrible, even if those devices were not rigged with the intention of detonating and harming anyone, and it is a good thing that not a single one of them has done so. It is a good thing that none of America’s political elites were targeted by the sort of explosive device that America drops on people in other countries every single day.

You know, the kind that actually explode.

Apparently some Acme comedy bombs mailed to a number of extremely rich people, which thankfully did not hurt anybody at all, are infinitely more newsworthy than the real bombs which maim and destroy children in Yemen on an industrial scale.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As a Christian Pacifist Activist, the disconnect the writer of this post sees, looking at what is happening around this world, with the US complicit in so many deaths, in Yemen, Afghanistan, Libya, Niger, Somalia, and Iraq, is utterly and painfully true.

Folks, when people in power in this talk about the "honor", "glory" and "defending the American way of life" as valid descriptions of the wars in which the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika is currently, and about to be, enmeshed, they are lying to you.

Simply put (and this guy was hopelessly wrong about a lot of things),when Karl Marx said that wars are economic in their origin, the man was absolutely, dead-on correct.

The war in Iraq?!? This was done to give the US and Western-centric corporations control over its oil.

The "undeclared war" in Yemen, where the US is enabling Saudi war crimes as I type this?!?

There is an issue that the article misses, in that controlling Yemen means controlling the waterways of Bab El Mandab; The Red Sea, and the Gulf of Aden, all points for moving oil in and out of the region.

The war in Libya?!? This was done to prevent Muammar Gaddafi from issuing a gold-backed currency, the gold dinar, which would have shredded the value of the US dollar in a heartbeat. New Hillary Emails reveal the true motive for Libya intervention.

The war in Afghanistan?!? To control the pipeline rights, rare mineral development, and control of the poppy crops, from which a booming market in illicit heroin is derived.

The coming war against Iran?!? First, this will be done to honor Trump's commitment to both Israel's Prime Minister, Bibi Netanyahu, and his biggest American Supporter, Sheldon Adelson, who has supported the Trump Campaign with millions in overt, and covert funding, and secondly, to force this country to always sell its oil only in US dollars, post-regime change.

Of course, both Netanyahu and Adelson fully expect this war to be fully executed.... only at the costs of only US blood, and US money, not Israeli

Let's take a look at this last issue, shall we?!?

In FY 2018 the federal deficit was $779 billion.

With its desire for more and more wars, with which to enrich the US government financially, we are looking a Federal deficit of almost 780 billion dollars in fiscal 2018; that's a huge number to wrap my head around.

Instead of limiting spending in a reasonable and rational way, the US government appears to be miring the US public in an absolutely unpayable debt structure, from which there is no way out. This falls on the backs of hard-working Americans, who are desperately struggling to keep food on the table, and a roof over their heads. The people creating this unpayable debt have armies of lawyers and accountants on speed-dial, to insure that they get the best break possible with taxes.

Russia and China, which may well come to Iran's aid, should it be invaded, have weaponry the US military can only wet-dream about; sorry for being blunt, but because of their close relationship with both the Pentagon and Congress, and contributing lavishly to the campaigns of politicians on both sides of the aisle, our military industrial complex has been consistently behind the 8 ball, in staying at least two steps ahead of where our international competitors are, in terms of developing lower cost weapons that just... do the job brilliantly.

Please understand; as a Christian pacifist activist, I hate war; but if such a war happens, I want to see our brothers and sisters in uniform equipped with the best, most brilliantly crafted weaponry that actually works as advertised, and beyond.

So, we have a the US government hopelessly indebted to its creditors, and a potential coming world war, where our military doesnt' have the money, the manufacturing, the troop strength, or weaponry to insure a positive outcome in a world war, ultimately against Russia, and China.

This is a potential recipe for a complete, unmitigated disaster for this country, the consequences of which may be both horrific... and irreversible.

And we have a companion piece this morning, from blackistednews.com:

Saudi-led airstrikes hit civilians in Yemen
If We, the People, do nothing, in the most peaceful, logical way possible, to get US involvement in these US-enabled Saudi war crimes in Yemen to stop, then We the People are also, absolutely and unequivocally, complicit in these war crimes as well.

New York Times Published Trump Assassination Fantasy Before Mail Bomb Scare

The New York Times published a fictional story Tuesday that fantasized about President Trump’s assassination at the hands of the Secret Service and a Russian operative — one day before the nation was gripped by news of apparent mail bombs sent to prominent Democratic figures.
In an article published in the New York Times‘ Book Review, five writers conjured up fantasy scenarios about President Trump’s future with the Russia investigation.

One writer, Zoe Sharp (pictured), took liberal fantasizing to the next level and wrote a story that ends with President Trump being assassinated by a Russian agent. The Times’ editors illustrate the piece, titled “How It Ends,” with a Russian flag sticking out of a pistol barrel.

In the story, the Russian attempts to shoot the president, but his gun misfires. A Secret Service agent then offers his own pistol to the Russian:

Saudi King 'will have Crown Prince REPLACED to restore the credibility of the monarchy' after his disastrous handling of the Khashoggi murder

Saudi Arabia's King could have his Crown Prince son replaced to restore the credibility of the monarchy amid turmoil over the Jamal Khashoggi murder, Britain's former defence attaché to the kingdom has claimed.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has faced claims he may have been behind the death of the journalist who went missing after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

Saudi Arabia first denied any role in Khashoggi's disappearance before blaming his October 2 death on a botched attempt to return him to the kingdom.

As the Crown Prince battles to contain the fallout from the killing, Saudi prosecutors said today that the murder was pre-planned and suspects were being interrogated.

According to Colonel Brian Lees, once the UK's defence attaché to Saudi Arabia and Yemen, the Crown Prince's days as de facto ruler are numbered and his father, King Salman, may now look to replace him following his disastrous handling of the case

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF this assessment proves true, at would absolutely corroborate what WRH has been suggesting that this was an "inside job", courtesy of "malice in the palace",because others in the Royal Family did not feel that their right to succession was duly considered, when the King appointed MbS as crown prince.

This will play itself out in private, and the House of Saud never wants other countries (or its own citizens) aware of how it handles such family feuds.

At Least 19 Killed, 10 Injured in Saudi-Led Coalition Air Raid in Yemen - Report

At least 19 people have been killed and 10 others wounded by the US-Saudi air strikes on Yemen’s western city of Bayt al Faqih located in the vicinity of the port city of Al Hudaydah on Wednesday, local media reported.

The air raid had been held hours after the previous strikes that killed three civilians, including a minor child, and injured six other people, the Masirah TV channel reported.

A recent UN report said Saudi-led coalition airstrikes – which have hit open-air markets, health clinics, schools, funerals and weddings, according to published reports — have been blamed for most of more than 16,000 civilians killed or injured in the Yemen conflict over the past three years.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You look at all the opportunistic faux wailing, and gnashing of teeth over the death of Khashoggi, and generally rightly so, but where is the outrage for the innocents who keep getting slain by this US/Saudi death machine in Yemen?!?

Sorry folks, this is nowhere to be found, and according to the corporate Presstitutes in the US, this doesn't even ping the radar for "important news", like a change in a celebrity's hairstyle.

But I will show you, in some very graphic images, what the US/Saudi war machine is doing, right now, in Yemen:

Yemeni children assassinated and maimed for life, courtesy of Saudi air strikes

Image: Yemeni child dying of malnutrition, courtesy of US/Saudi blockade, which is the only way to bring food into the country

Image: Yemeni children dying of cholera, courtesy of Saudi-destroyed water infrastructure, and a brutal (possibly weaponised)breakout of the disease

And as long as we Americans do not say something, in a peaceful, logical manner, and do something as one people, we become complicit in the Saudi-US war crimes in Yemen.

I am asking you to please forward this article to your Congressional Representatives, asking them if they believe the murder of children here is more than just collateral damage, and how they intend, personally, to urge President Trump to put a stop to this.

Make sure, politely, that they understand that if they are up for re-election next month, taking no action on this may well cost them their campaign, particularly in close races this November.

SAUDI ARABIA IMPOSES A TRAVEL BAN ON KHASHOGGI’S FAMILY

The Geneva Council for Human Rights and Justice yesterday called on the Saudi authorities to immediately lift a travel ban it has imposed on the family of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was killed inside his country’s consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Geneva Council, an international human rights organisation, expressed in a statement to Al-Khaleej Online its strong condemnation of the Riyadh authorities for banning Khashoggi’s family from travelling.

His son, Salah, was also “forced on Tuesday to receive condolences from Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman.”

The rights body said Saudi’s actions are in violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which states: “Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state. Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Khashoggi's son was "forced to receive condolences" from the very guy who most likely ordered the hit on Khashoggi?!?

Lord, have mercy; if there were a contest for most dystopian and dysfunctional royal family on the face of this earth, it has to be the House of Saud, hands down.

Does Prince MbS not realize how horrific the optics are on this travel ban for the guy's family, and forcing his son to shake his hand?!?!?

Welcome to crazyville, coming to the world live and direct, right from the House of Saud in Riyadh!!

UN humanitarian chief: 8.4 million Yemenis need urgent aid

The U.N. humanitarian chief says the conflict in Yemen has left 8.4 million people dependent on emergency food assistance and 75 percent of its 22 million people requiring some form of aid.

Mark Lowcock warns in an analysis obtained Monday night by The Associated Press that humanitarian officials "estimate that 3.5 million to 4 million more people could become severely food insecure in the months ahead."

The analysis, which is to be the subject of a briefing to the Security Council on Tuesday, says 3 million Yemenis are malnourished, including 1.1 million pregnant women "and more than 400,000 severely acutely malnourished children."

In a worst case scenario, Lowcock warns that if current trends continue, food needs could increase "by as much as 62 percent."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Martin Lowcock, a word, please.

Because the Saudis and their US allies have blockaded Yemeni ports, the aid you describe will never be allowed to be delivered; that's just the first hard reality here.

You have to understand; from the Saudi perspective, the more Yemeni children assassinated; malnourished, and water-sickened who die under this siege, the happier the House of Saud is with this death and destruction: that is the second hard reality with which you will have to deal.

And all the above, coupled with your grievances, makes the UN look impotent to do anything to stop the carnage in Yemen. There is no international "muscle" in this organisation which can make the aid delivery happen. And here's what this looks like from the Yemeni perspective:

Images: Yemeni children killed or maimed for life from Saudi bombing runs

Images: starving Yemeni kids, dying of malnutrition, courtesy of US-enabled port blockades

Images: Yemeni children dying of cholera, courtesy of Saudi-destroyed water infrastructure plus a possibly weaponized version of the pathogen added to Yemeni water system

Folks, I know that there has been a great deal of attention placed on the assassination of Khashoggi recently. But where were the US politicians when these horrific war crimes against the Yemeni people were, and are continuing to be, perpetrated?!?

They have been no where; and why?!? Because our country's Merchant of Death in Chief, President Trump, believes that the bomb sales this country has done, plus other weapons of war we have sold the Saudis are "good for business."

Economically, of course, he is quite right; people don't want to buy GMO-laced food, or products that break down one day after the product warranty expires, which is pretty much all we have to offer; except for the bombs and bullets we make reasonably well (next to those of China and Russia, of course), and supply them to the highest bidders.

I wish I did not live in a country whose government commits war crimes with impunity, and I wish, by making people aware enough of these war crimes, some peaceful, and reasonable change in the status of how this government does business, and with whom, might happen.

But that is going to take a national movement, which represents us all, for real change to invigorate a national dialogue which is way above party skirmishes; I sincerely hope that this can be accomplished.

EXPLOSIVE DEVICE MAILED TO LIBERAL PHILANTHROPIST GEORGE SOROS' NEW YORK HOME

An explosive device was found at the Westchester County, New York, home of billionaire philanthropist George Soros on Monday afternoon.

In a statement to NPR, the Bedford Police Department said an employee of the house found a suspicious package in the mailbox. They opened it, revealing what "appeared to be an explosive device." The employee placed the package in a nearby wooded area and alerted authorities.

State and federal authorities responded to the scene in Katonah, a hamlet in the town of Bedford. A bomb squad was able to safely detonate the device, The New York Times reports.

After authorities were contacted, an "extensive investigation" involving the Bedford Police Department, the Westchester County Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the FBI, commenced.

The case has been handed over to the Joint Terrorism Task Force Division of the FBI, the Bedford Police Department says.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder if Soros himself ordered a fake bomb planted in his mail box, to garner some sympathy and encouragement for his "open borders" support, seeing just how well that has gone in Europe, and also seeing the United States under threat of a well-planned and nearly executed invasion, scheduled to hit the US just about at mid-terms here in the US:

KHASHOGGI’S BODY PARTS FOUND IN GARDEN OF SAUDI CONSUL GENERAL’S HOME – SKY NEWS SOURCE

Body parts belonging to murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi have been found, according to Sky News sources, who added that he had been “cut up” and his face “disfigured.”
The sources’ claim echoes a statement by Do?u Perinçek, leader of the left-wing Vatan party on Monday night. Perinçek told Turkish television that Khashoggi’s “body parts” had been recovered from a well in the Saudi consul’s garden, and added that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan would explain the findings later on Tuesday.

The news comes after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan demanded Saudi officials reveal the whereabouts of Khashoggi’s remains, after the Saudi government admitted Khashoggi had been murdered, albeit in a “fist fight” with officials inside the consulate in Istanbul.

"Jamal Khashoggi's body parts have been discovered" - Sources have told @AlexCrawfordSky "grisly details" about how Jamal Khashoggi's body parts were discovered.

Webmaster's Commentary:

While it is certainly not beyond Saudi Arabian royalty to plan such an event (they kill women and children routinely in Yemen, and think not a thing of it), why has the Turkish government not circulated the pictures which would authenticate this alleged find?!?

So, Turkish government, where, please, is the actual evidence this happened?!?

Because without it, your collective credibility is in tatters, if this is some sort of attempt at making the optics of this alleged assassination look even worse than they already are.

Germany Suspends Arms Sales To Saudis Weeks After $500 Million Deal

Less than a month after Germany authorized a shipment of arms to Saudi Arabia and several of its allies, in violation of an arms-sales ban approved by lawmakers from the country's ruling coalition earlier this year, Germany has once again decided to "punish" the Saudis by putting future arms shipments on hold pending the results of an investigation into the death of Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

In late September, Germany violated its promise not to supply Saudi Arabia with arms and instead approved a 416.4 million euros ($477 billion) shipment to Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Jordan. Though German economy minister Peter Altmair wrote a letter to parliament members explaining why Germany's government had approved the sales, the decision was still heavily criticized by the country's opposition, per Bloomberg.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Expect for this sound and fury against the Saudi government to dwindle in the coming weeks.

Countries selling them weapons with which they assassinate Houthi rebels, will ultimately feel the need to feed their economic "fix" of the money Saudi Arabia pays for their weapons from the UK, Germany, and the United States.

No matter how ridiculous the concept of a 60 year old guy getting into a "fistfight" with a number of Saudi intel people is, it will ultimately the narrative which the Saudis will "successfully sell",. particularly to those countries selling them weapons, like the US.

South Africa City To Begin Confiscating Land From Whites In National "Test Case"

The debate about land redistribution in South Africa has been a passionate one, as many South African cities face a housing crunch that has left hundreds of thousands of people living in informal settlements. Just as this debate is starting to reach a fever pitch, one South African city, Ekurhuleni, is about to embark on what mayor Mzwandile Masina calls "a test case" for the nation: the government is going to seize hundreds of acres of land, from white citizens without paying for it, to build low-cost housing.

Last month, the city voted in favor of pushing forward with "expropriation without compensation". According to ABC News, this was cited by the African National Congress as a legal rule that is necessary in order to distribute land equitably and correct "historic injustices" that took place in the country.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF the land-owners of this farming acreage had any sense whatsoever, they would have left this country long ago, with as much as they could carry with them, and migrate to a country which would be grateful to have them, because of their strong work ethic.

South Africa... is in its opening phases of "Zimbabwefication" , and will most likely be in dire economic and crop yield deficiencies in the very near future.

Giving someone land, with no training or experience in agricultural work, nearly guarantees that the crop yields will fall.

And to those South African banks, which have blithely decreed that even though their former lands have been repossessed by the State, the former owners have to pay off the loans they used for goods and services, I have
one phrase, from the TV show the Sopranos for you: "Furgitaboutit!!"

FOR NEXT WEAPON IN ANTI-PROTEST ARSENAL, US MILITARY BUILDING PLASMA GUN CAPABLE OF VAPORIZING HUMAN FLESH

From wood batons to stun batons to water cannons to sound cannons to. . . frickin' plasma lasers that can "vaporize" your skin?

Recent reporting out of the Pentagon reveals that the U.S. military is working on perfecting what they called a Scalable Compact Ultra-short Pulse Laser System (SCUPLS)—or plasma gun, for short—intended for mounting on a truck or a tank.

Billed as the military's latest "crowd control" technology, what this has typically meant is a new "non-lethal" weapon designed for use by militaries or police forces against unruly demonstrators or those standing against powerful state actors or corporate forces.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am quite certain that police departments across the country will be clamoring for their next "allegedly non-lethal" device, to be tried on peaceful protestors and burn their skin right off their bones, "as a lesson for the others".

Saudi Arabia $100 million to US as missing journalist mystery deepens

Saudi Arabia has delivered a previously promised $100 million to the United States as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo landed in Riyadh to discuss the fate of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who went missing after visiting the kingdom’s consulate in Turkey’s largest city of Istanbul more than two week ago.

According to a New York Times report, the money landed in American accounts on Tuesday and was for purported American efforts to stabilize areas in Syria liberated from the clutches of the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group.

'No coincidence'

The timing of such payment, which the Riyadh regime had pledged to the Trump administration in summer, has raised cynical eyebrows among pundits.

“The timing of this is no coincidence,” an American official involved in Syria policy said on condition of anonymity.

American Mercenaries Were Hired To Assassinate Politicians In The Middle East

Cradling an AK-47 and sucking a lollipop, the former American Green Beret bumped along in the back of an armored SUV as it wound through the darkened streets of Aden. Two other commandos on the mission were former Navy SEALs. As elite US special operations fighters, they had years of specialized training by the US military to protect America. But now they were working for a different master: a private US company that had been hired by the United Arab Emirates, a tiny desert monarchy on the Persian Gulf.

On that night, December 29, 2015, their job was to carry out an assassination.

When they arrived at 9:57 at night, all seemed quiet. The men crept out of the SUV, guns at the ready. One carried the explosive charge toward the building. But just as he was about to reach the door, another member of the team opened fire, shooting back along the dimly lit street, and their carefully designed plan went haywire.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Extrajudicial assassinations are non-Constitutional. I don't care how much the legal eagles around President Obama wanted to spin these as legally justifiable in US law, but these hits are not.

The country of Yemen has not attacked us; they have done nothing to cause any distress to the American people. But because President Obama was so close to the Saudi royal family, which wants to see every man woman and child in Yemen dead, he ordered the hit, and ordered it in precisely this manner.

And having these mercs hired by a private firm, so that "plausible deniability" can be created, covering the US and it's military, does not make this right, either.

Targeted assassinations, ultimately ordered by a foreign government, to be carried out by private mercs, consisting of former US military?!?

That was the way Obama loved to do this things; as covertly as possible, and "discouraging" news outlets from covering them at all.

The "cool factor" in his persona, was purely manufactured; and the damage he did, both to this country's reputation, and his personal reputation, will continue to linger and fester for a long time to come.

That, my friends, was the reality under the "Obama Years" in the White House; extrajudicial assassinations overseas, all wrapped up in a pretty American flag.

POLICE FOUND EVIDENCE IN SAUDI CONSULATE THAT KHASHOGGI WAS KILLED THERE - TURKISH OFFICIAL TO AP

A Turkish official told AP that police have found evidence inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul which confirms that journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed there.
The "high level official" spoke to the AP on the condition of anonymity, but said that police had found "certain evidence"that Khashoggi had died in the building. The official did not provide any more details about the evidence uncovered by police.

Reports in US media on Monday evening suggested that Riyadh might be preparing to admit that Saudi-born Khashoggi was killed as part of an unauthorized interrogation gone wrong.

Khashoggi was last seen entering the consulate on October 2. Turkey has accused Saudi Arabia of murdering the journalist, but Riyadh has denied involvement.

After a phone call with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman on Monday, US President Donald Trump suggested perhaps “rogue killers” had been responsible for the journalist’s disappearance.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word here, please.

IF the overwhelming evidence indicates that Khashoggi was, in fact, assassinated at the Saudi consulate in Turkey, I would politely suggest that no element of criticism of the Saudi regime, is not countered, nor responded to, except by Prince Bin Salman's orders.

OK, so he ordered a hit on a guy he didn't like that he didn't know would go public, and caused the the global consternation it has caused.

But President Trump, you have to know what you are dealing with here, sir, just as you have had to realize about your other BFF in the Middle East: these are diabolically ruthless men, who control with an iron hand, and who see the elimination of "the enemy" as their only goal, by any brutal means necessary, with utter impunity, and zero consequences.

So, you've dispatched your "Bag Man", Mike Pompeo, to Saudi Arabia, to clean up the stench your Buddy, Prince Bin Salman, made, and "sanitize it" with a cover story, which no one will believe, about this torturous assassination.

Mr. President, We the People realize that this pitiful attempt by this administration to put lipstick on this pig of an act, is only about making sure the weapons companies can continue enjoying their fat bottom lines, by insuring that the weapons flow, unrestricted, to Saudi Arabia, with which they are using to murder Yemeni children, women, and the medically fragile elderly.

Congratulations, Mr. President, on your administration's being "all in" with Bin Salman's torturing critics to death, and killing, starving, and sickening the Yemeni people.

I am very concerned, Mr. President, that what you see Bin Salman and Netanyahu doing in their countries, and beyond, is something you might love to have the power to do here, with complete impunity, and absolutely zero consequences.

THAT, Sir, does worry me... and greatly.

And we have a companion piece, also from blacklistednews.com:

Pompeo's 12 hour flight to Saudi Arabia gave him only a 15 minute meeting with King Salman

U.S. Responsible for 3,300 Civilian Deaths in Syria, Supporting Genocide in Yemen

A new report finds that the U.S is responsible for more than 3,300 civilian deaths in Syria since 2014. Meanwhile, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo continues to back Saudi caused genocide in Yemen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And by not standing up against this genocide, and simply accepting it as "the cost of doing business, because of the huge profits US weapons sales the military industrial complex is making from their sales to the Saudis", every single one of our alleged Congressional representatives are telling us that We the People do not matter; it's only the huge corporations, which "purchase" them though contributions to their campaigns, which do.

I have to wonder what a forensic audit of all of our Congressional Representatives would reveal, as to who has pocketed the most from the military industrial complex; if that were allowed to happen, I think we'd all be collectively gobsmacked by the numbers.

Ancestry Sites Could Soon Expose Nearly Anyone's Identity, Researchers Say

The researchers behind the study were inspired by the recent case of the alleged Golden State Killer.

Earlier this year, Sacramento police arrested 72-year-old Joseph James DeAngelo for a wave of rapes and murders allegedly committed by DeAngelo in the 1970s and 1980s. And they claimed to have identified DeAngelo with the help of genealogy databases.

Erlich and his team wanted to see how easy it would be in general to use the method to find someone’s identity by relying on the DNA of distant and possibly unknown family members. So they looked at more than 1.2 million anonymous people who had gotten testing from MyHeritage, and specifically excluded anyone who had immediate family members also in the database. The idea was to figure out whether a stranger’s DNA could indeed be used to crack your identity.

For Erlich, the findings are both reassuring and frightening.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are huge possibilities for abuse of this technology, and Erlich is absolutely right to be concerned about how it may be used.

Yemen on brink of 'world's worst famine in 100 years' if war continues

UN warns that famine could overwhelm country in next three months, with 13 million people at risk of starvation.

If war continues, famine could engulf the country in the next three months, with 12 to 13 million civilians at risk of starvation, according to Lise Grande, the agency’s humanitarian coordinator for Yemen.

She told the BBC: “I think many of us felt as we went into the 21st century that it was unthinkable that we could see a famine like we saw in Ethiopia, that we saw in Bengal, that we saw in parts of the Soviet Union – that was just unacceptable.

“Many of us had the confidence that would never happen again and yet the reality is that in Yemen that is precisely what we are looking at.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ms. Grande is obviously naive enough to believe that the war will stop, just upon the wails and screams of various human rights organisations and NGOs around the world.

What she refuses to understand, is that this is precisely the outcome the Butcher of Yemen (aka, Prince Mohammed bin Salman) wishes to see happen.

I think of another way of putting it is "Victory by Attrition", which means the Butcher doesn't care HOW the people of Yemen die, he just wants them to die, either by starvation; direct bombing runs; destroying the water infrastructure; and poisoning Yemeni people with potentially weaponized cholera.

And the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika, lead by its Merchant of Death in Chief, is doing everything it can do, particularly selling him arms with which to massacre as many children, women, and medically fragile elderly as possible.

THIS, friends, is why the "Khasshogi Incident" will be forgotten; anything which gets in the way of selling American weapons will be obliviated, as I believe you will see in the coming days, possibly as soon as the end of the week.

That's why Pompeo is headed Riyadh this week, President Trump says Mike Pompeo going to Saudi Arabia this Week to "stategize conformities" as to how this assassination will be spun, and to not let one scintilla of logic, or real evidence, dare to rear its ugly head, to combat the soon to be well-crafted spinning of this story.

DID SAUDIS, CIA FEAR KHASHOGGI 9/11 BOMBSHELL?

The macabre case of missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi raises the question: did Saudi rulers fear him revealing highly damaging information on their secret dealings? In particular, possible involvement in the 9/11 terror attacks on New York in 2001.

Even more intriguing are US media reports now emerging that American intelligence had snooped on and were aware of Saudi officials making plans to capture Khashoggi prior to his apparent disappearance at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul last week. If the Americans knew the journalist’s life was in danger, why didn’t they tip him off to avoid his doom?

Jamal Khashoggi (59) had gone rogue, from the Saudi elite’s point of view. Formerly a senior editor in Saudi state media and an advisor to the royal court, he was imminently connected and versed in House of Saud affairs. As one commentator cryptically put it: “He knew where all the bodies were buried.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Watch this "disappearance" be spun down the rabbit hole of dysfunction and menial ordinariness by the collective US "alphabet soup" agencies.

Khashoggi's absence will be relegated to that of a very minor situation, not worthy of the notice of the US corporate presstitutes and warrespondents very soon.

I would almost be willing to bet, as soon as this Friday, stories about him wil vanish, poof! - as though they had never existed at all.

JUST IN: Assassination Plot Against Trump Thwarted By Secret Service

Prior to President Trump’s arrival on Air Force One, a PID agent informs Special Agent Gibson that he’s come across a credible threat against POTUS—in the form of a tweet reading, “Gonna be in Manila the same time as Trump… I’ll take one for the team lads,” accompanied by a mugshot of Lee Harvey Oswald. And on his Instagram, they find a photo of the male suspect wielding a copy of the book How to Kill: The Definitive History of the Assassin. The PID agents then track his IP address and discover that the man is indeed located in downtown Manila, kilometers away from the president’s hotel, and his social media posts reveal that he is traveling in the direction of the president’s hotel. They continue to monitor him.

US-SAUDI COALITION IN YEMEN ATTACKED ANOTHER 2 BUSES OF REFUGEES AS THEY FLED AIRSTRIKES

The international Saudi-led Coalition against Yemen attacked another two buses full of internally displaced people as they fled the Coalition’s airstrike campaign in Hodeidah. Today’s attack makes it clear the Coalition has a policy of targeting anyone who attempts to flee the U.S.-backed Saudi and Emirati aggression along the west coast.

19 were killed and at least 30 were injured in today’s attack. Even hours later, first responders and reporters ran into trouble entering the scene due to the Saudi planes continuous circling. It’s common for Saudi Arabia to conduct “double-tap” airstrikes which maximize the casualty count in each attack while targeting ambulances and the press.

According to a United Nations team of experts, these double-tap strikes indicate that the Coalition makes conscious decisions to attack civilian targets by quite literally doubling down.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This war being waged by the Saudi, the US, and Emirate Governments against the people of Yemen, has crossed a line into broad-spectrum assassination and genocide against all Yemeni people whose apparent "crime" was their desire to get their families to safety; and that was what made these murders "legitimate" in the eyes of the US government, the Saudi Government, and the U.A.E. government.

In looking at this, I think I have uncovered the core reason as to why President Trump's two BFFs n the Middle East are Israel's Netanyahu, and Saudi Arabia's Prince Bin Salman.

both do what they do (assassinations, torture), and stand just to the right of Attila the Hun when it comes to potential human rights of those people they consider "collateral damage only": they do this evil with impunity, and never expect any consequences will come back and bite them in a very sensitive portion of the human anatomy.

President Trump would love to do this, both here and abroad, but he is still, in the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika, bound by certain laws, which constrain him to some degree.

This is why we hear, and see, so little about the 3 year old war against Yemen, will looks to drag on indefinitely, unless Bin Salman gives the order to carpet bomb the place, which may well happen if he remains as head of the royal family.

And to our "alleged" Congressional representatives; take back your Constitutional power to make war; you have, morally, sacrificed its original intent, from Bush Jr, thorough Obama, and now through President Trump, to make these wars against Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and now, God help us, in Yemen happen.

And unless World War III sounds like a great idea to you (because you've got your bunkers, your hard assets, and protective places for your families to stay), the operative word for this is, NOW!!!

This country, collectively, appears to be sleepwalking into wars against China; Russia; and Iran; and heaven knows who else; let's stop this trend before the US finds itself enmeshed in a world war, with no way out, which is precisely where these developments have been leading this country.

CANADA IS 'CONCERNED' WITH KHASHOGGI'S FATE BUT WILL SELL ARMS TO SAUDIS ANYWAY – TRUDEAU

Ottawa will keep its $15bn arms deal with Riyadh despite concerns over Saudi involvement in the disappearance of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi and the diplomatic row over human rights, Prime Minister Trudeau said.
"We respected that contract," Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told reporters on Friday, adding that his cabinet has put forward measures to make the arms sales more transparent.

"We are making sure Canadians' expectations and laws are always being followed," he said.

The contract was signed in 2014 by the previous conservative government, and has since been upheld by Trudeau. The specifics of the sales were originally not disclosed by the parties.

According to documents obtained by CBC News last month, a Canadian company is to ship 742 LAV-6 light armored vehicles to Riyadh. The same outlet revealed in March that hundreds of the LAV-6s will be outfitted as "heavy assault" and "anti-tank" types.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When ever a country wants to put on a great face, smelling mounds of bovine excrement in their excuses to allow arms sales to continue to flow, and wants to keep on taking another unhinged country's money for weapons, this is precisely the word the word that government uses, and that's "concerned".

How it translates, in diplospeak, to the leadership of that unhinged country is: we know you're assassinating non-combatants, killing infants, children, toddlers, and the medically infirm with the weapons you have purchased from us, but we really don't care, as long as the money keeps flowing to our weaponry manufacturers.

Trudeau is just as much a piece of revolting work on this issue as has been President Trump.

Outside In: The Trump administration’s plan to remake the Middle East

The only promise that is new about the promised peace plan is the way it will be forced on the Palestinians: no one has promised that the plan itself will be new. With Saudi Arabia and Egypt—the outside—brought onside with the promise of continued military aid despite their crimes against humanity and violations of international law and the Palestinians weakened by being silenced, economically crushed and stripped of any friends to help them, the United States and Israel are now free to attempt to impose a peace plan on the Palestinians.

JAMAL KHASHOGGI WASN’T THE FIRST — SAUDI ARABIA HAS BEEN GOING AFTER DISSIDENTS ABROAD FOR DECADES

THE STORY OF Jamal Khashoggi’s disappearance and possible murder has riveted the world’s attention with its macabre, and mysterious, details. The soft-spoken but sharply critical Saudi journalist vanished after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, on October 2. Theories about his fate include the horrifying possibility that Khashoggi was murdered — and perhaps even tortured and dismembered — at the hands of the Saudi state. (The Saudi government continues to vehemently deny these charges.) Should these allegations prove true, Khashoggi’s fate could have vast ramifications for the reputation of Saudi’s Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, known as MBS, who has until now sought to establish himself as a figure of modernization and reform. Already, Khashoggi’s case has elicited an unusually strong response from Western media and parts of the American government alike, casting Saudi Arabia’s geopolitical future in doubt.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There's an old saying about being judged "by the company one keeps"; and one has to wonder; President Trump's two BFFs in the Middle East, are the Saudi Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, and Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Why this particular set of relationships?!?

What I believe what President Trump's"friends" probably have in common, outside a desire/demand for total control over their citizens, would be that wonderful line from the TV show, "Elementary", in which Sherlock is describing his dad to Watson, as having "...assassins on speed dial."

But for both men, that desire for "total control" is starting to slip.

In Saudi Arabia, we have heard of the possible Saudi execution of a Saudi Journalist, Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi Arabian Consulate in Turkey.

And according to recent reports, Houthi rebels have managed to embed themselves in various strategically significant towns within Saudi Arabia itself Yemen's military adopts a more aggressive strategy, and captures Saudi Military sites, While Bibi Netanyahu's wife is on trial for corruption. Corruption indictment looms for Israel's Netanyahu in lead-up to Israeli Elections

And here is why Netanyahu may hold early snap elections: Israel's Netanyahu appears poised to call early elections This would traditionally be held either in late October, or early November.

It looks to me as though both men are in an urgent state of need for some kind of spectacular distraction for their countries' citizens, a "misdirection", if you will, so that not much will get said said about the three situations I have mentioned in this post.

Please note that at this point in time, 13 October, there are 32 days left for countries around the world to stop buying oil from Iran, courtesy of President Trump's edict against this: this "drop dead" date occurs on Sunday, 4 November.

Tuesday, 6 November, is the US mid-term elections.

I think we may reasonably expect to see an "October/November surprise", by way of some kind of false flag, by the US, perhaps with overt or covert assistance by the leaders of both countries in order to "provide "cover"/distraction for both men.

Where and when, I cannot tell you; but the sense of impending dread I am experiencing, looking at potential places where the geopolitical, dry "tinder" could easily be torched, and the world set to burn in an upcoming global war, is something I just cannot shake.

And to our readers and listeners, I hope - and, yes, pray - to heck that I am utterly dead wrong about this; I never want to see anyone hurt, particularly as a distraction for other operations the US- and other governments - don't want us to see happening.

But in looking at both the logic, and the timing here, this is the way I see current history appearing to be unfolding.

'TRUMP WANTS TO HAVE ME KILLED', SAYS VENEZUELA'S MADURO

As the US continues to send not-so-subtle signals that it could be open to a military invasion of Venezuela after a US-supported coup plot involving Venezuelan military officers fizzled, Nicolas Maduro - who only a few months ago evaded a bizarre assassination attempt involving C4-laden drones - has accused the Trump Administration of conspiring to have him assassinated.

When approached for a response to Maduro's comments, a White House spokesman did little to rebut his claims, saying only that the US's "policy preference" is "for a peaceful, orderly return to democracy in Venezuela." Given Venezuela's ailing energy infrastructure, and US sanctions that have made it difficult for the Maduro regime to sell its oil or tap capital markets for funding, the government has been forced to rely on China and, to a lesser extent, Russia to keep it afloat.

Webmaster's Commentary:

No matter what the White House says, Maduro is probably very correct in his assessment here.

The problem here has been exacerbated by the sanctions, which have pushed Venezuela far more into the orbit of China and Russia; the same can be said about the sanctions against Iran.

The real test for Maduro will be that (as of right now, hypothetical) moment when his military turns on him, and starts cooperating with forces who want to see regime change, rather than have the continuation of the horrific conditions under which the Venezuelan people are living.

UN REPORTS OVER 8,000 AFGHAN CIVILIANS KILLED IN 2018, MOSTLY WOMEN AND CHILDREN

Adding to a growing list of UN reports released recently all showing a surge in Afghan civilian casualties in different manners, a Wednesday report was released showing that civilian deaths are surging from US and Afghan government airstrikes.

This has been ongoing through the year, with a decrease in US airstrikes in Iraq and Syria leading to more warplanes committed to bombings in Afghanistan. More US strikes means more civilians getting hit, meaning the casualty figures are at multi-year highs.

The UN figures show 649 civilian casualties in the US and Afghan airstrikes in 2018’s first nine months. This is 39% more than the same period in 2017, as well as more than the whole of last year. 60% of the casualties are women and children.

All these reports on all these different sorts of civilian casualties caused by the war show a general increase in violence against civilians on all fronts, with no signs of the violence slowing down any time soon.

Webmaster's Commentary:

17 years in Afghanistan, which have brought about nothing but more violence and misery for the Afghani people.

But the US government will not leave, because if our and NATO's military stay, we haven't lost this war.

This ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid rationale for keeping our military in Afghanistan will cost one hell of a lot more lives, both US and Afghani, until we finally get someone into the White House who realizes what an abysmal failure this war has been, and makes the right, moral decision.

That decision would be to evacuate US and NATO troops just as quickly as is safely possible, then negotiate with whatever government is left standing in Kabul for the pipeline rights; the rare earth mineral rights; and the rights to the opium poppy trade, which has skyrocketed since the inception o the US/UN invasion and occupation.

And I will assure you that, no, the images I am sharing below, have not been photoshopped.

US "INVESTIGATES" GENOCIDE IN MYANMAR, COMMITS GENOCIDE IN YEMEN

Rarely is US hypocrisy so cynical and overt as a recent US State Department investigation into ongoing violence in Myanmar, all while the US continues its full spectrum support of Saudi Arabia's genocidal war on Yemen.

In addition to Washington's role in Yemen, the US also occupies Afghanistan and Syria while carrying out drone strikes and covert military interventions in territory stretching from North Africa to Central Asia.

In Myanmar specifically, the US has openly and for decades funded and supported groups and individuals involved directly on both sides of ongoing ethnic violence. Now, it is leveraging that violence to single out obstacles to US influence in Southeast Asia and in Myanmar specifically.

Reuters in their article titled, "U.S. accuses Myanmar military of 'planned and coordinated' Rohingya atrocities," would claim:

Webmaster's Commentary:

I used to have a great deal of respect for this country,my birthplace, the United States of America.

But when your eyes are open to the horrific atrocities this country has committed, and is still committing against foreign populations, that respect transmogrifies into an horrific awareness, that this country is run by the monied, for the monied, and of the monied.

Elections change nothing; we simply get a glorified Kabuki like performance of people who have been pre-vetted by the monied and the US Deep State, and will only serve their interests, no matter if their interests are in sync with those of We the People, or not.

This is from indexmundi.com, which, for some unfathomable reason, still calls the country Burma:

The Natural Resources of Burma

The article goes on to state:

"Natural resources: petroleum, timber, tin, antimony, zinc, copper, tungsten, lead, coal, marble, limestone, precious stones, natural gas, hydropower, arable land

Definition: This entry lists a country's mineral, petroleum, hydropower, and other resources of commercial importance, such as rare earth elements (REEs). In general, products appear only if they make a significant contribution to the economy, or are likely to do so in the future."

And of course, as with every other country the US has invaded/pacified/conquered, which it wants here, is the following: a US-Centric government, well-kept with a lot of hush money for its top leadership, which does not mind the expropriation of its resources, and with those resources not being allowed benefit to the citizens of those countries, and all to be sold only for the US dollar.

The only thing left is to peacefully witness to the reality that in both Myanmar and Yemen, the mind-set of the US government and
Deep State, is that the people of these countries are only "collateral damage", to be disposed of in the most expeditious way possible, because that... is the US government's and Deep State's "Final Solution" for dispersing whatever wealth these countries do have in resources to US-friendly companies.

VIRGIN’S BRANSON HALTS TALKS ON $1 BLN SAUDI INVESTMENT IN SPACE VENTURES

British billionaire Richard Branson said on Thursday that his Virgin Group would suspend its discussions with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund over a planned $1 billion investment in the group’s space ventures, in light of the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Reuters reports.

“What has reportedly happened in Turkey around the disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, if proved true, would clearly change the ability of any of us in the West to do business with the Saudi government,” Branson said in a statement.

Branson also said he would suspend his directorship in two Saudi tourism projects around the Red Sea, citing Khashoggi’s disappearance. Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Branson did the right thing, and I applaud his decision.

But I sincerely wish he had done it for the right reason, and that would be to turn the world's attention to the slaughter of innocents in Yemen, in which the US military and government is aiding and abetting the Saudi military in their war crimes. Warning: very graphic images.

MISSING Saudi journalist ‘dragged from consulate office, killed and dismembered’

I have a problem with this. All that is known for a fact is that this man walked into the Saudi Consulate and never walked back out. Nobody knows for a fact that he is dead (there is one report he is alive but in Saudi Arabia) let alone dismembered!

U.S. Intelligence Had A 'Duty To Warn' Khashoggi - Why Didn't That Happen?

It is beyond doubt that the Saudi government abducted, or killed, the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. But what did the Trump administration knew about the threat to Khashoggi? Did U.S. intelligence services warn him as their regulations require? Was such a warning blocked by the White House? And what will Trump do about the case?

The Turkish government published pictures of 15 men who had come from Saudi Arabia and were in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul shortly before Khashoggi visited it to get his divorce papers. They moved Khashoggi to the residence of the consul and later that day flew back on the same two private Saudi jets that had brought them to Istanbul.

Oct 10 09:58

Evidence of what happened to Jamal Khashoggi exists. It must be released.

THE DISAPPEARANCE of Jamal Khashoggi remained a mystery on Monday, but unlike many mysteries, it is one that could easily be solved. The Saudi journalist and Post Global Opinions columnist walked into the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul at about 1:30 p.m. last Tuesday, Oct. 2, and has not been seen or heard from since. Turkish government sources are saying he was murdered inside the consulate; Saudi officials are calling that allegation “baseless and ridiculous.” They contend that Mr. Khashoggi left the consulate shortly after he arrived.

If either account is correct, there should be tangible evidence — videos, travel logs and other documents — to back it up. Such evidence should be immediately released. Any delay only magnifies the suffering of Mr. Khashoggi’s family, including the fiancee who waited for him in vain outside the consulate. It compounds the crime of those responsible for his disappearance, who will not succeed in deflecting questions through stonewalling.

Did the Saudis Kidnap and Murder Journalist Jamal Khashoggi?

Last year, Khashoggi fled Saudi Arabia over harsh crackdowns on regime critics. Friction between him and its despotic ruling family surfaced after saying the kingdom should be “nervous about a Trump presidency.”

He opposed Saudi aggression in Yemen, its unacceptable policies toward Qatar, and harshness against critics.

Banned from writing and speaking out publicly, he self-exiled himself to America, saying

“I have left my home, my family and my job, and I am raising my voice,” adding:

“To do otherwise would betray those who languish in prison. I can speak when so many cannot.”

Earlier this year, he said Saudi intellectuals and journalists risk imprisonment for criticizing ruling family policies.

The State Department was largely silent on Khashoggi’s disappearance, a statement saying it’s aware of reports and seeks more information.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Now you understand why I am worried, that one of President Trump's BFFs in the Middle East is Saudi Arabia's Prince Mohammed bin Salam, and the other is Israel's Prime Minister, Bibi Netanyahu.

They are, at the end of the day, birds of a feather.

Erdogan Demands Saudis Produce "Proof" That Missing Journalist Left Consulate Alive As 'Murder' Probe Intensifies

It has been nearly a week since renowned Saudi journalist and Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi walked into the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2 and never walked back out. In the ensuing days, the Western media has become incensed by reports that the Saudis sent a 15-man "hit squad" to the consulate to carry out the "preplanned" torture and murder of Khashoggi. Afterwards, they reportedly dismembered his body and smuggled his remains out of the building, all while Khashoggi's Turkish fiance waited outside in her car. After sending a "security team" to the consulate to look for the missing dissident, Turkish investigators launched an investigation into Khashoogi's disappearance on Friday - an investigation for which Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has pledged his "personal involvement".

Fugitive Prince Calls for Civil Disobedience to Change Saudi Regime

Saudi prince Khalid bin Farhan al-Saud, who has fled to Germany after the empowerment of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, called on people to overthrow the current rulers in Riyadh after the recent murder of prominent journalist Jamal Khashoggi by the Al-e Saud.
"If the assassination of Jamal Khashoggi is proved, I invite all walks of life in Saudi Arabia to cooperate in a legal measure and change the political system through civil disobedience," Farhan al-Saud wrote on his twitter page on Monday.

He proposed the Saudi people pave the ground for transferring power to Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi King Salman’s younger brother who is in exile in Britain, and form a new government based on the constitution.

Turkish officials said they had concrete evidence missing Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was murdered, with a friend of the prominent writer saying they think he might have been dismembered.

Turkey to search Saudi Consulate for missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi

Turkey said Tuesday it will search the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul as part of an investigation into the disappearance a week ago of a Saudi contributor to the Washington Post.

The announcement came as a surveillance image surfaced of Jamal Khashoggi walking into the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul just before he disappeared.

Khashoggi, 59, went missing while on a visit to the consulate for paperwork to marry his Turkish fiancée. He had been living since last year in the United States, in a self-imposed exile, in part due to the rise of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the son of King Salman.

Turkish officials have said they fear the columnist was killed on the premises of the consulate.
