These are the most unhealthy meals in America, ranked

If you've ever wondered what four days' worth of fat content in one meal looks like, you finally have your answer.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest has put together a list of the unhealthiest meals in America, known as the " Xtreme Eating " list. These highly calorific, artery-clogging meals make a KFC family bucket look like child's play.

The list is collated by nutrition experts who reviewed menus at 200 restaurant chains in the United States to find the meals heaviest in calories, saturated fat, sodium, and sugar.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, the daily recommended intake is 2,000 calories, 20 grams of saturated fat, 2,300 milligrams of sodium, and 50 grams of added sugar.

WARNING: Synthetic antidepressants raise the risk of premature death, study reveals

The most common antidepressant drug class is serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs. They function by blocking the reuptake of serotonin, which is one of the major feel-good chemicals in the brain...people who aren’t producing enough of it are more prone to depression, anxiety and mood disorders.

Serotonin...[also] helps to regulate cell growth, digestion, reproduction, the immune system and many other processes.

Secret Documents Reveal Monsanto’s War on Cancer Scientists

On Tuesday, July 24, the Johnson vs. Monsanto trial resumed with video testimony from Monsanto’s toxicologist, Donna Farmer, who leads the chemical company’s deceptively named Product Safety Center, and who has been a lifelong nemesis of environmental, safe food and farming advocates.

It wasn’t easy getting Farmer’s videotaped testimony. Here’s the backstory. When our legal team sent a process server to Farmer’s home in St. Louis, to subpoena her testimony, Farmer was observed fleeing through a backyard fence. We had the block staked out and successfully served the summons.

But to spare her the risks of live testimony, Monsanto fought Farmer’s subpoena to a standoff in Missouri’s Supreme Court. Monsanto’s stonewalling meant that our San Francisco jury saw only clips of Farmer’s videotaped deposition taken by my colleague, Mike Miller of The Miller Firm.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s Article: Plaintiff Testifies in Landmark Monsanto Roundup Trial

On Monday morning, July 23, the jury in Johnson vs. Monsanto heard testimony from Dr. Ope Ofodile, the Plaintiff Dewayne "Lee" Johnson's dermatologist. Dr. Ofodile described beginning her treatment of Lee in 2014, shortly after Lee was diagnosed with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. Her affection for Lee and her passionate devotion to his treatment was evidenced throughout her surprisingly moving testimony; she even wrote to Lee's employer, the Benicia District School Board, on Lee's behalf and "requested that he not be exposed to [Roundup] as that could exacerbate his condition."

An email from Lee to Dr. Ofodile after she performed surgery on his squamous cell carcinoma illustrated his affection for and gratitude toward her: "Thanks again for slicing me up and getting the poison out." Odofile responded, "Great, my pleasure."

Young Female Wal-Mart Manager "TRIGGERED" And Flees To "Safe Space" After Customer Complains About Illegal Overcharge

This incident was so stupid, preposterous and insane that I wish this story was made up, but unfortunately, it is true. You see, this is the kind of mental and societal insanity that has infested the minds of many young people. It has surpassed the social-media and political realm and "snowflakes" across America are "triggered" by almost anything, even something as mundane and benign as a retail pricing /consumer issue. Thus, Wal-Mart "managers" who are "triggered" by their "feelings" are encouraged to "#walkaway" and seek their "safe space," perhaps in the ice cream or pillow isle. This is simply amazing stuff. I think I'll shop somewhere else.

American drug companies have 100 drugs to manage the disease known as Hypertension. An American doctor will usually consider any Blood Pressure above 120 over 80 to be abnormal and sufficient cause to write you a prescription. But in Europe they don’t treat anyone for High Blood Pressure until it goes over 180. In India doctors think that any BP under 140 is dangerous and a sign of pathology.

Cause of USA Meltdown and Collapse of Civil Rights

The USA meltdown has been decades in the making and is the collateral result of an elite predation that has degraded structural elements needed for a healthy and resilient nation.

The aftermath is “too much regulation at the bottom, not enough at the top”: a pathological legislative and institutional structure in which elite interests have too much freedom to challenge and exploit democratic nation states, whereas middle, working and professional class actors, including small and medium-size private business, are economically, ideologically and politically constrained and suppressed to an excessive degree.

Smartphones are killing teenagers' memories, study says

New research suggests that radiation from smartphones is negatively impacting teenagers' memories, leaving them with short-term memory loss. The concern is that a year's worth of radiation could be enough to damage the part of the brain that interprets images and shapes.

According to the study, which was published Monday, researchers found that there is a negative impact on memory performance after exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) radiation.

"This may suggest that indeed RF-EMF absorbed by the brain is responsible for the observed associations." said Martin Röösli, Head of Environmental Exposures and Health at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) in a statement, announcing the findings.

Vaccine scandal in China hits drug sector shares

A Chinese vaccine scandal intensified on Monday, sending ripples across the drug market and threatening Chinese ambitions to play a larger role in the global pharmaceutical arena.

Chinese police have launched an investigation into Changsheng Biotechnology, its chairwoman and four executives over suspected criminal behaviour, the official Xinhua news agency said on Monday.

Changsheng has been found to have falsified production documents related to a rabies vaccine that is given routinely to Chinese babies as young as three months, underscoring the challenge the drug market faces cleaning up its image as it aims to promote its vaccines globally.

According to the China Food and Drug Administration, Changsheng fabricated production records as well as product inspection records, and arbitrarily changed process parameters and equipment, in "serious violations" of the law.

Top 10 medical treatments that can make you SICKER than before you took them

What medical doctor has ever asked their patient at consultation whether they’re consuming genetically modified organisms (GMOs)? Why not? That refers to produce that contains chemical insecticides and chemical herbicides that can interact dangerously with chemical medications. What medical doctor analyzes the adverse affects of mixing mercury and formaldehyde with blood thinners or anxiety medications? Why not? Flu shots are often loaded with those toxic ingredients, and heavy metal toxins can certainly interfere with neurons in the brain and the central nervous system. Even the toxins in tap water can affect the central nervous system, so what happens when you wash down those anxiety medications with tap water, consume an artificial sweetener like aspartame, eat some food containing MSG, and then get a flu shot?

Notes of nuclear? Fukushima radioactivity found in California wine

Radioactive levels are increasing in wine from California's Napa Valley, thanks to the radioactive cloud that drifted from the Fukushima disaster in 2011.
Researchers from the University of Bordeaux Centre d'Études Nucléaires de Bordeaux-Gradignan (CNRS) in France tested California wine from before and after the Fukushima disaster and found there was double the amount of cesium-137 in its Cabernet Sauvignon after the 2011 tsunami caused the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear reactors to leak.

The radioactive cloud released by the plant drifted all the way to California’s Napa Valley. There, trace amounts of cesium-137 made its way into the vineyard grapes.

The levels varied depending on the wine, researchers found, with Cabernet Sauvignon reds having a higher amount and rosé having the least.

The secret behind fake bipolar disease in children

Columbia University researchers found a 40-fold rise in office visits among youth diagnosed with bipolar disorder between 1994-95 and 2002-3.”

In 1995, a new wind began blowing across the psychiatric landscape. The public wasn’t aware of it. But among professionals, it was big, very big:

Children, including the very young, could, for the first time, legitimately be diagnosed with bipolar disease (aka manic depression).

The impetus for this “revelation” was a 1995 report, “Is Your Child Bipolar?” written by two doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital, Janet Wozniak and Joseph Biederman.

Biederman would go on to become the target of internal investigations at Harvard and Mass General—did the pharmaceutical money he took influence his judgment in deciding bipolar was a real disorder among children? The charges against him were ultimately reduced to a few light slaps on the wrist; he retained his prestigious position.

Robert Kennedy Jr. launches first lawsuit of thousands against Monsanto alleging herbicide Roundup causes non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma

Environmental attorney Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has filed the first of what he termed “several thousand” lawsuits against agri-giant Monsanto, alleging that its widely-used herbicide Roundup causes non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Jurors in San Francisco heard hours of scientific data about the chemical’s link to the disease, which has a high survival rate after five years, but which can cause others to become terminally ill.

Kennedy, who is also the chairman of the World Mercury Project, said in a recent interview with Del Bigtree, host of The HighWire show, said gardeners, agricultural workers, farmers and others who are exposed regularly to Roundup are most at risk.

US government exposed: for 30 years, it broke the law on vaccine safety Jul16

For 30 years, the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) broke the law regarding vaccine safety, and no one noticed or cared.

Then two men came along and discovered the scandal: Robert F Kennedy, Jr. (twitter), head of the World Mercury Project, and Del Bigtree (twitter 1, twitter 2, FB, web), the producer of the film Vaxxed. They filed papers in court, and they won their case.

Here is the issue in a nutshell: In 1986, a law, the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, was passed. It insanely excused vaccine makers from legal liability stemming from unsafe vaccines and the injuries they cause. Buried in the law was a provision ordering the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to update Congress, every two years, on its efforts to improve vaccine safety.

Kennedy and Bigtree thought it would be very interesting to read these HHS reports—all 16 of them. So they filed a Freedom of Information Act request, and then…nothing. No replies.

AP Investigation: Doctors Keep Licenses Despite Sex Abuse

An Associated Press investigation finds that even as Hollywood moguls, elite journalists and politicians have been pushed out of their jobs or resigned amid allegations of sexual misconduct, the world of medicine is more forgiving.

Even when doctors are disciplined, their punishment often consists of a short suspension paired with therapy that treats sexually abusive behavior as a symptom of an illness or addiction.

The investigation finds that decades of complaints that the physician disciplinary system is too lenient have led to little change in the practices of state medical boards.

Childhood vaccines are dangerous and the ONE government agency required to track vaccine safety, admitted in court this week they have completely failed to do so since 1987.

The admission came in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit brought by Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN), which wanted to see the bi-annual reports required to be sent to Congress by HHS since 1987.

Lawyer: Monsanto Bullied Scientists And Hid Weedkiller's Cancer Risks

A lawyer on Monday argued that Roundup creator Monsanto hid the cancer-causing effects of their weedkiller and bullied scientists into making claims it was safe. In a landmark lawsuit against the global chemical corporation, the lawyer didn’t hold back in his accusations against Monsanto.

“Monsanto has specifically gone out of its way to bully … and to fight independent researchers,” said the attorney Brent Wisner, who presented internal Monsanto emails that he said showed how the agrochemical company rejected critical research and expert warnings over the years while pursuing and helping to write favorable analyses of their products. “They fought science,” added Wisner, who is representing Dwayne Johnson. Johnson alleges Monsanto is to blame for the cancer that has been aggressively spreading throughout his entire body.

Hundreds of Cancer Cases Against Monsanto Just Got the Green Light

“We’re going to see for the first time evidence that nobody has seen before, evidence that has been in Monsanto’s files that we’ve obtained from lawyers and the people in Monsanto.”

After opening arguments kicked off in California state court on Monday for a Bay Area man’s landmark lawsuit alleging that Monsanto’s popular weedkiller Roundup caused him to develop cancer, a federal judge on Tuesday ruled that hundreds of unrelated but similar cases against the agrochemical company can also proceed to trial.

U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria in San Francisco concluded that although he believes the evidence presented by attorneys representing the cancer patients and their families, “seems too equivocal to support any firm conclusion that glyphosate,” the active ingredient Roundup, causes in cancer, the matter should be taken up by a jury. As Reuters noted, his decision “followed years of litigation and weeks of hearings.”

It also follows the first day of trial for DeWayne “Lee” Johnson’s suit in California’s San Francisco Superior Court.>>>

Did the 2009 flu vaccine give people narcolepsy? Experts blame spike in sleep disorder on the shot - which the US has stockpiled for the next swine flu outbreak

An emergency stock of powerful flu vaccines may cause narcolepsy, and scientists are still trying to work out why.

In 2009, the H1N1 or swine flu pandemic swept the globe, killing an estimated 284,000 people.

In many countries in Europe, people were given an adjuvant vaccine against the illness, meaning it contained ingredients intended to ramp up the body's immune responses to the flu exposure.

Many people still got the flu, and scientists noticed a spike in cases of the rare sleep disorder, narcolepsy, following the pandemic.

Now, researchers believe the shot may have triggered an autoimmune disease that in turn caused narcolepsy and are attempting to prove it before another swine flu pandemic heads for the US and we need to dip into the adjuvant stockpile.
