Your Incredibly Shrinking Dollar

Over the last 12 months, the purchasing power of your dollar has dropped at the fastest rate since 2011. According to the latest data released by the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) jumped by 2.8% year-over-year in May. That follows on the heels of a 2.5% leap year-over-year in April. In other words, prices are going up. That’s not good news for people who buy stuff.

Study Reveals 11 Million People Could Be Taking The Wrong Heart Medication

More than 11 million Americans may have incorrect prescriptions for aspirin, statins, and blood pressure medications, according to a new study.

Researchers based their findings on an updated set of calculations — known as pooled cohort equations, or PCEs — used to determine the risk of a heart attack or stroke.

The PCEs are the foundation for cardiovascular-disease-prevention guidelines in the United States. They help physicians decide whether to prescribe aspirin, blood pressure, or statin medications, or some combination of these, by estimating the risk a patient may have for a heart attack or stroke.

Most physicians calculate a patient's risk using a PCE web calculator or a smartphone app; the equations are also built into many electronic health records so that a patient's risk is automatically calculated during an office visit.

Congress is proposing big changes to the National Organic Standards Board – and farmers are raising the alarm

Congress, in their infinite wisdom, has proposed two major changes to the NOSB — changes that would ultimately weaken the power of the NOSB, if not render the board obsolete entirely. What are these harebrained ideas from our elected officials?

As Civil Eats reports, Congress would, for one, like the NOSB to allow employees of organic farmers or producers to be permitted to have board positions. And secondly, Congress has proposed that they begin “allowing politicians to sidestep the NOSB’s authority to approve substances such as the fertilizers and pesticides used in organic production.”

Health Canada is Corrupt to the Core Causes Endless Illnesses, Diseases and Premature Deaths

Had mainstream media not agreed to David Rockefeller’s wish for them to remain silent on this issue – some 60 years ago – today’s ‘greatest-crime-ever’ could not be happening! [2] Adults in Canada will recall how well this same HC protected them and their loved ones from tobacco, asbestos, Thalidomide, leaded gasoline, etc.! For the past 50 years or so, HC’s Radiation Protection Bureau – whose job it is to protect the public from non-ionizing, electro-magnetic field “EMF” radiation, etc. – has allowed itself to become an integral member of what is now a corrupt U.S.

NZ Family appeals to Government for change after medical cannabis costs plunge them into debt

A family which has begun dipping into its retirement savings to pay for their son's medical cannabis treatment has made an emotional plea to Government to make the drug more affordable and accessible.

Ollie Venables, 22, is autistic, intellectually disabled, and has mild spastic cerebral palsy. He is in near-constant pain and suffered from muscle spasms and other side effects while on previous medications.

His parents, Shelly and Brett Venables, are among a small group of New Zealanders who have successfully navigated the fraught process to obtaining one of the two legal cannabis medications on the market, a CBD oil made by Tilray.

But the Invercargill family say they have had to begin spending their Kiwisaver – which can be accessed on hardship grounds - to pay for the medication.

HACKED: 92 MILLION ACCOUNT DETAILS FOR DNA TESTING SERVICE MYHERITAGE

When you sign up to a website handling sensitive information, perhaps a medical service or social network, one of the basic things you’re probably hoping for is that the site can keep control of its users’ data. Unfortunately for customers of MyHeritage, a genealogy and DNA testing service, a researcher uncovered 92 million account details related to the company sitting on a server, according to an announcement from MyHeritage.

The data relates to users who signed up to MyHeritage up to and including October 26, 2017—the date of the breach—the announcement adds.

Users of the Israeli-based company can create family trees and search through historical records to try and uncover their ancestry. In January 2017, Israeli media reported the company has some 35 million family trees on its website.

In all, the breach impacted 92,283,889 users, according to MyHeritage’s disclosure.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Not only is information on your DNA subject to hacks: please be aware that Ancestry.com takes your DNA rights away from you, to use them as they please:

Ancestry.com takes DNA ownership rights from customers and their relatives

The article goes on to state: "There are three significant provisions in the AncestryDNA Privacy Policy and Terms of Service to consider on behalf of yourself and your genetic relatives: (1) the perpetual, royalty-free, world-wide license to use your DNA; (2) the warning that DNA information may be used against “you or a genetic relative”; (3) your waiver of legal rights."

IF YOU OWN A PHONE THIS MEANS YOU: AND IT IS SO VERY MUCH WORSE THAN THE FACEBOOK SCANDAL

I am publishing below an excerpt (called the 'main point') from my post with exhaustive links called YOUR PRIVATE LIFE JUST SUDDENLY EXPLODED. The rest of the post and a complete bibliography of links is at the source.

YOUR PRIVATE LIFE JUST SUDDENLY EXPLODED.

Evidence surfaced recently -- proof -- that each of us, that every one of us with a cellphone, might as well have a corresponding dot moving and blinking in real time, geolocated on a map somewhere. Did I say might as well? I mean does. (Yes that map is real.)

Find links below.

Let that sink in. THAT GIANT MAP IS REAL. It is a map of all connected devices. If you have a phone, or laptop, or tablet, or router for that matter, you are on it. I mean that absolutely literally.

If you own a cell phone, this means you.

[snip]

First we learned that our private location information may be, and is, easily retrieved, without a warrant, or our informed consent, and with little to no oversight, at the will, or even whim of almost any police officer in America...

Then, we learned that, until recently, your location information could be retrieved by absolutely anyone with your phone number.

I repeat, up until may 17th, 2018, it was trivially easy for absolutely anyone to locate absolutely anyone else's phone WITH ONLY THE NUMBER…

… and it very probably still isn't that hard.

Whole Foods Quietly Halts GMO Labeling Requirements

A year after Whole Foods was acquired by Internet retail giant Amazon, the food company is backing off its commitment to ensuring that food suppliers inform the consumer and the store itself if their food products contain GMOs.

There is some confusion about the decision by Whole Foods to walk back on its commitment but one thing is for sure – it is walking back.

In an email sent by Whole Foods President and Chief Operations Officer A.C. Gallo announced that the company is pausing its GMO Food labeling requirements. The requirements, which were scheduled to take effect on September 1, would have required that suppliers disclose on their packaging whether or not their products contained genetically modified ingredients. The Ongoing Thimerosal Travesty Needs to End

Thimerosal is the infamous mercury-containing preservative in use, to this day, in some vaccines and also in dozens of other pharmaceutical products approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).1-3 Public health agencies, government regulators and medical trade groups have repeatedly declared thimerosal to be safe,4,5 but the published peer-reviewed science argues that nothing could be further from the truth. For anyone who bothers to investigate thimerosal’s appalling record, there is a vast, still accumulating and compelling body of research that contradicts the public health establishment’s deceptive safety claims.
