YouTube Begins Purging 'Thousands Of Videos And Channels' For Advocating 'Bigoted Ideologies'

Google-owned YouTube is planning to purge "thousands of videos and channels" which advocate "bigoted ideologies" or "claim Jews secretly control the world," deny "that well-documented violent events, like the Holocaust" took place, "say women are intellectually inferior to men and therefore should be denied certain rights," or "suggest that the white race is superior to another race."

Multiple channels were banned in the immediate aftermath of the announcement.

'We are not a monopoly!' Apple CEO Tim Cook fights back as major US tech companies struggle to recover from FTC antitrust probe announcement which tanked share prices

Apple CEO Tim Cook denied his company was a monopoly on Tuesday after it was revealed that a Federal Trade Commission investigation was in the works into his company and others which critics say have too much power.

In an interview with CBS, Cook said Apple did not control a majority in any market and that while he welcomes scrutiny, he disagrees with the suggestion that he should split up parts of the business.

It came a day after stocks plummeted on Monday after reports emerged that the FTC was leading an antitrust investigation into Facebook Inc and its practices.

Mainstream Media Ratings Plummet Amidst Major Credibility Crisis

Last month, CNN saw a 16% collapse in their primetime ratings. This comes after the network offered voluntary buyouts to 100 employees in that same month.

CNN’s primetime viewers reached only 761,000 viewers and their total day viewers crashed 9% compared to the same month last year, averaging only 559,000 viewers.

CNN’s supposed flagship morning show, New Day, only averages an underwhelming 485,000 viewers.

Breitbart details splendidly why CNN‘s viewership has tanked, with six years of faulty reporting on the network’s part regarding several national stories. Taking a stroll down memory lane, we recall…

Internet shutdowns don't make anyone safer

Around the world, governments are hitting on a modish new idea: Turn the internet off. Sometimes they mean it literally.

Methods vary, but the trend is clear enough. Countries are increasingly ordering telecoms and other companies to block network access, shut down messaging services, or otherwise restrict digital applications or websites, usually citing public order or national-security concerns. In extreme cases, internet access can be “blacked out” entirely. Worldwide, such shutdowns rose to 188 last year, up from 75 in 2016.

Google Removes Trump-Ivanka Picture from ‘Hebephilia’ Search Result Following Breitbart Inquiry

Google displayed a picture of Donald Trump and a young Ivanka Trump at the top of a Google search for “hebephilia” (similar to pedophilia, but attracted to pubescent children). The tech giant removed the picture after a Breitbart News inquiry.

Until Breitbart News made its inquiry earlier this afternoon, searches for the term “hebephilia” displayed a picture of a young Ivanka Trump sitting on her father’s knee during an event. The image appeared in Google’s “snippet,” the featured result that appears above search and is aimed at answering a searcher’s question right away.

The Deep State And The Deep Media

To fully understand the Deep State one need focus on matters both inside and outside of government. The Deep State corrupts everything it touches. Today that includes much of the country.

The Deep State corrupted the media.

The first task of any State is to control the information (propaganda) fed to its citizens. Totalitarian states eliminate any free exchange of opinions. The Soviet Union had a state-run newspaper known as Pravda. It was a monopoly in that no other sources legally provided news. The new Russia pretends it has press freedom, but it controls the media. So does China. Severe penalties, including murder, are used to obtain conformity.

In the US, we say we have freedom and a “free press.” But do we?

Google Parses Your Gmail For Financial Transactions

Recently I came across this story by Todd Haselton that describes how the author located an obscure “purchases” page in his Google account settings and there found a methodical list of his online purchasing history, from third-party outside vendors, going back to 2o12.

The upshot of the story was that:

Google saves years of information on purchases you’ve made, even outside Google, and pulls this information from Gmail.

It’s complicated to delete this private information, and options to turn it off are hidden in privacy settings.

Google says it doesn’t use this information to sell you ads.

Naturally, I flagged this story for the next edition of our #AxisOfEasy newsletter. Haselton reports that it isn’t easy to locate and delete this information, nor is there a straight-forward path to find it in your privacy settings to disable this behaviour.

For Tech Giants, a Cautionary Tale From 19th Century Railroads on the Limits of Competition

Late 19th-century Americans loved railroads, which seemed to eradicate time and space, moving goods and people more cheaply and more conveniently than ever before. And they feared railroads because in most of the country it was impossible to do business without them.

Businesses, and the republic itself, seemed to be at the mercy of the monopoly power of railroad corporations. American farmers, businessmen and consumers thought of competition as a way to ensure fairness in the marketplace. But with no real competitors over many routes, railroads could charge different rates to different customers. This power to decide economic winners and losers threatened not only individual businesses but also the conditions that sustained the republic.

In a recent issue of Scientific American, these powers that be made sure to include an article pushing their vision of a “gender-free” future. In it, the author suggests that it’s no longer acceptable to use words like “him” or “her” to describe men and women, instead urging widespread use of the generic term “them” to describe everyone.

It no longer matters, in other words, what a person’s chromosomes say about his or her unique biological sex – because that’s so old-fashioned, in case you didn’t know. No, it’s now about calling everyone the exact same thing so that we’re all exactly the same, and all “equal” – meaning no more men or women, but rather one universally identical existence as “people-kind,” or something.

US Media Continues Spreading Lies About Russia And Venezuela

Data from the newspaper The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on the presence of employees of the state corporation Rostec (Russian Technologies) are exaggerated, Sputnik told a source of the press service of the Russian company.

On June 1, the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal reported, quoting an anonymous source close to the Russian Ministry of Defense, that Rostec decreased its staff in Venezuela from 1,000 to a few dozen.

According to the media, the retreat of Rostec employees, responsible for training Venezuelan troops, has intensified in recent months.

“The figures published in the Wall Street Journal article regarding the presence of Rostec employees in Venezuela are exaggerated dozens of times,” a source said in response to the Journal’s claims.

Justice Department launches Google anti-monopoly probe

Just before midnight on Friday, at the close of what was a hectic month for markets, WSJ dropped a bombshell of a story: The paper reported that the DoJ has opened an anti-trust investigation of Alphabet Inc., which could “present a major new layer of regulatory scrutiny for the search giant, according to people familiar with the matter.” The report was sourced to “people familiar with the matter,” but was swiftly corroborated by the New York Times, Bloomberg and others.

For months now, the FTC has appeared to be gearing up for a showdown with big tech. The agency – which shares anti-trust authority with the DoJ – has created a new commission that could help undo big-tech tie-ups like Facebook’s acquisition of Instagram, and hired lawyers who have advanced new anti-monopoly theories that would help justify the breakup of companies like Amazon.

Is the US media beating the drums of war on Iran?

Hyped-up headlines, "anonymous" sources and unspecified threats - Iran is back in the news in the United States.

It wouldn't be the first time the US media, wittingly or unwittingly, have made the case for war on the basis of vague, anonymously sourced intelligence. In 2003, it was Iraq. In 2019, it's Iran. Much of American news reporting on US-Iran relations glosses over President Donald Trump's role, how his policies have led to this standoff.

There's even less space given to reflect on the history of the US aggression against Iran. Which is not to say the Islamic Republic, ruled by authoritarians and involved in wars in Syria and Yemen, is an innocent player. However, inflammatory headlines, unnamed sources and decades of misinformation in the US media over Iran - don't help.

New York Times Supports False Trump Claims About An "Iranian Nuclear Weapons Program" That Does Not Exist

During a press conference in Japan U.S. President Donald Trump today said (video):

And I think we’ll make a deal.

Iran said: "No nuclear weapons." It said that several times. It continues to say that.

Iran does not have the intent to make nuclear weapons. It has no nuclear weapons program.

But Trump may be confused because the U.S. 'paper of the record', the New York Times, recently again began to falsely assert that Iran has such a program.

The Mass Media Is Poisoning Us With Hate

In “Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media,” published in 1988, Edward S. Herman and Noam Chomsky exposed the techniques that the commercial media used to promote and defend the economic, social and political agendas of the ruling elites. These techniques included portraying victims as either worthy or unworthy of sympathy. A Catholic priest such as Jerzy Popie?uszko, for example, murdered by the communist regime in Poland in 1984, was deified, but four Catholic missionaries who were raped and murdered in 1980 in El Salvador by U.S.-backed death squads were slandered as fellow travelers of the “Marxist” rebel movement. The techniques also included both narrowing the debate in a way that buttressed the elite consensus and intentionally failing to challenge the intentions of the ruling elites or the actual structures of power.

Exclusive-Paul Gosar Sounds Alarm on USMCA’s Language Codifying Big Tech Censorship

Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) told Breitbart News exclusively on Friday that he has started drafting and circulating a letter to U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, sounding the alarm about how the United States Mexico Canada Agreement (USMCA) could codify big tech’s ability to censor conservatives.
Rep. Gosar started drafting a letter to Robert Lighthizer, urging him to remove USMCA Article 19.17 that would enshrine technology companies’ legal immunity from Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act that allows tech companies to censor on their platforms without significant legal recourse.

Congressman Gosar told Breitbart News that America, Canada, and Mexico should not reward tech companies’ censorship practices with an international liability shield to continue censoring on the “public square.”

PENCE TELLS SOLDIERS: SOME OF YOU WILL DIE FOR ISRAEL

SOURCE: KURTNIMMO.BLOG

This isn’t exactly what Mike Pence told the graduating class of West Point on Saturday. He said it’s “a virtual certainty that you will fight on a battlefield for America at some point in your life,” which means, of course, people will die, not simply soldiers but countless innocent others.

Pence tells West Point graduates it's "a virtual certainty" they will go to combat as Iran tensions escalate https://t.co/7V80F7KLZ9 pic.twitter.com/gWEtnuUcHS

— The Hill (@thehill) May 26, 2019

Pence’s “battlefield for America” is a brazen lie. America has but one reason to wage wars in the Middle East—and that reason is Israel.

The trillion dollar wars past, present, and future in the Middle East—in Syria, Libya, Iraq, Yemen, and Iran—do not in any way benefit the US, and instead have made America an international outlaw.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Kurt absolutely nails it here.

And President Trump, a word please; what this country needs, and desperately, as in, YESTERDAY, is a Department of Peace, with an ability to demonstrate to you how geopolitical tensions can be diffused through intelligent, hard-won, moral negotiations rather than wars.

Mike and I are volunteering to do this for you, and right now!!!

You are welcome, Mr. President!!!! :-)

Lights, Camera… Covert Action: The Deep Politics of Hollywood

Originally published by GR in February 2009, this article focusses on the role of Hollywood as an instrument of propaganda. The Deep Politics of Hollywood are part of the broader process of media manipulation and disinformation in support of US led wars.

Here we build a prima facae case supporting the idea that Hollywood continues to be a target for infiltration and subversion by a variety of state agencies, in particular the CIA. Academic debates on cinematic propaganda are almost entirely retrospective, and whilst a number of commentators have drawn attention to Hollywood’s longstanding and open relationship with the Pentagon, little of substance has been written about the more clandestine influences working through Hollywood in the post-9/11 world. As such, our work delves into the field of what Peter Dale Scott calls “deep politics”; namely, activities which cannot currently be fully understood due to the covert influence of shadowy power players.
