Disregard for world opinion defines the US government

ast week, the United Nations General Assembly voted overwhelmingly to condemn the US embargo against Cuba. A total of 189 member-nations said Cuba did not deserve this embargo, which began in 1961 and has continued unabated to this day. Only two countries – the United States and Israel – voted against the motion. No country abstained.

Cuba’s minister for foreign affairs, Bruno Eduardo Rodríguez Parrilla, has said the US embargo has cost the small socialist island state upwards of US$933.678 billion, with the losses in the past year amounting to $4.3 billion (twice the amount of foreign direct investment into the island). This embargo, Rodriguez Parrilla said as he put the resolution forward, is an “act of genocide” against Cuba and its people.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Hey, we're trading partners with Vietnam now; why not Cuba?!?

Talk about old grudges writ large.

This ax has ground down far too heavily, and it is high time to engage the Cuban government and people, not push away from it.

Russia to provide 38 mln euro credit to Cuba in military technical cooperation line

Russia may provide a 38 mln euro credit to Cuba in the military technical cooperation line, Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Storchak said on Friday.

"There are unapproved parts that remain to be agreed, the Cubans plan to come here with a professional delegation in the near future and I think the agreement will be signed during that visit. The Cuban delegation that will be involved in expansion of military technical cooperation intends to arrive in two weeks," he said, adding that the credit is worth 38 mln euro.

Russia considers military bases in Vietnam and Cuba: agencies

Russia is considering plans to restore military bases in Vietnam and Cuba that had served as pivots of Soviet global military power during the Cold War, Russian news agencies quoted Russian Deputy Defence Minister Nikolai Pankov as saying on Friday.

“We are dealing with this issue,” the agencies quoted Pankov as saying in Russia’s parliament.

The Hypocrisy of the United States

One can only marvel at the blatant, outrageous hypocrisy of the United States. This is on clear display in many areas: proclaiming support for self-determination while financing the oppression of the Palestinians; citing international law when it suits its needs, but violating international law, such as in the U.S. withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and stating that ‘all men are created equal’, as U.S. police officers gun down unarmed people of African descent. Multiple examples abound.

The government’s officials do nothing to hide this hypocrisy; rather, they seem to seek opportunities to flaunt it.

The most recent opportunity came when the U.S. called a special meeting of the United Nations to spotlight, it said, Cuba’s political prisoners. According to the U.S., Cuba has imprisoned 130 political prisoners. The U.S. called this a “blatant affront” to basic democratic freedoms.

Cuban Crisis 2.0: Russia "Assessing" Military Base In Cuba After US INF Pullout

A senior Russian official proposed that his country is seriously considering establishing a military base in Cuba in response to Trump’s plan to quit the INF treaty, predicting that "a new Cuban crisis" could erupt if the US and Russia fail to come to terms.

According to General Vladimir Shamanov, the head of the Russian lower house of parliament's defense committee and a former airborne troops commander, with the US planning on walking away from the Cold War-era Intermediate-Range Nuclear Force (INF) treaty, Russia's response should be in the "spirit of those times", by reactivating Russian military facilities in Cuba.

The U.S. and Russia have accused one another of violating the agreement, but President Donald Trump has announced his intention to now end it, paving the way for new nuclear and conventional weapons systems at a time of heightened tensions, Newsweek reported.

Outside In: The Trump administration’s plan to remake the Middle East

The only promise that is new about the promised peace plan is the way it will be forced on the Palestinians: no one has promised that the plan itself will be new. With Saudi Arabia and Egypt—the outside—brought onside with the promise of continued military aid despite their crimes against humanity and violations of international law and the Palestinians weakened by being silenced, economically crushed and stripped of any friends to help them, the United States and Israel are now free to attempt to impose a peace plan on the Palestinians.

America’s obesity is threatening national security, according to this study

It’s well known at this point that just under 30 percent of Americans ages 17 to 24 ? the prime age to join the Army ? aren’t eligible to join.

But beyond that, almost a third of those who sit down with a recruiter to take the first steps are immediately disqualified.

Why? Because of their weight.

“Out of all the reasons that we have future soldiers disqualify, the largest – 31 percent ? is obesity,” Maj. Gen. Frank Muth, head of Army Recruiting Command, said Wednesday at AUSA’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C.

A freshly published study, “Unhealthy and Unprepared” concludes that America’s rising numbers of overweight youth are going to have real impacts on the military’s ability to maintain effectiveness.

“We’ve got to make sure that message gets out, because our concern is what happens when that percentage that qualify … potentially goes down?” Muth said. “Or if the obesity, if that starts to go up.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Beyond the obesity statistics (and one way to get away from being overweight is sticking completely to a natural diet, free from additives like MSG, which turns on the body's appetite, so that you will eat more), another interesting fact here, is that war is still the only way this country sees as a method of getting what it wants geopolitically.

I used to think that there might have been a day, in times past, when the American government could actually negotiate in good faith, to get what it wanted from other countries; but now, I see that this is no longer the case.

‘It’s science fiction’: Professor doubts claims of ‘microwave attacks’ on US diplomats in Cuba

There’s no conclusive evidence that US diplomats stationed in Cuba were injured by a futuristic weapon, Kenneth R. Foster, a professor of bioengineering, told RT, adding that theories involving microwaves were “science fiction.”

NBC published an explosive report earlier this week claiming that several anonymous US officials suspect that Russia was behind a series of unexplained “attacks” on US diplomatic personnel in Cuba and China, leaving the victims with injuries ranging from hearing loss to “problems with cognition.”

But Foster, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania who studied microwave phenomena while working at the Naval Medical Research Center in Bethesda, told RT that the evidence that these purported injuries were caused by some kind of microwave weapon – which the NBC article alleges – is “science fiction.”

Iran WARNING: US tells airlines not to fly through airspace as WW3 fears rise

The advisory also warns military activities linked to the bloody conflict in Syria have been ramped across Iran's airspace.

Tensions between Tehran and Washington are running high following Donald Trump’s controversial decision to pull out of the landmark Iran nuclear deal re-introduce economic sanctions last month.

Flight Service Bureau, which provides safety information on airspace to airlines, said "without seeming alarmist", the deteriorating relationship between the US and Iran must be taken into account when planning flights in Iran's airspace.

US Identifies Suspect Behind Mysterious Havana Embassy 'Sonic' Attacks

Nearly two years since State Department employees (and some CIA spies) began suffering from a mysterious acute illness that left some victims with permanent brain damage and hearing loss, the US State Department is inching closing to a conclusion that anyone paying attention could have easily anticipated...

That's right...

Putin

...it looks like this guy is at it again.

To wit, NBC News reported Tuesday morning that the State Department believes Russia is the prime suspect in a series of mysterious attacks using concentrated sound waves or microwaves (the US still isn't certain of the exact nature of the attacks) that seriously injured 26 "diplomats" (many of whom were CIA spies) working at the US embassy in Havana.

‘Genocidal’ US Blockade Has Cost Cuba US$134 Billion

The U.S. blockade on Cuba, imposed for more than 60 years, cost the tiny Caribbean island US$4.2 billion between April 2017 and March 2018, bringing Cuba’s total losses over six decades to US$134.5 billion.

In an annual report detailing the impact of Washington’s ongoing financial and trade policy, Cuba’s Foreign Ministry branded the blockade “the most unfair, severe and prolonged system of unilateral sanctions that has been applied against any country.”

The report, published Friday, noted that bilateral relations between the two nations – which had begun to thaw under the Barack Obama administration – experienced “a serious setback” in June 2017, when new U.S. President Donald Trump signed a memo strengthening the blockade.

US "Super Spy" Program May Explain Mysterious Diplomat Brain Injuries

Over the past two years there have been increasing reports of supposed “sonic injuries” among US diplomats. First in Cuba and more recently in China. Controversial implications are that the US officials may have been maliciously targeted by a “sonic weapon” in host countries. However, a more likely explanation is that the alleged victims are the result of US attempts to create “super spies”.

Some 250 US diplomats in China are reportedly undergoing neurological medical tests to ascertain if they have succumbed to the same kind of brain trauma diagnosed in other colleagues. A study of 21 diplomats evacuated from Cuba found last year that they had incurred brain injuries, but, it was diagnosed, not from physical impact to their heads.

Some factors so far missing from the subject need to be addressed.

First, it seems strange that the mysterious brain injuries are only reported by US diplomats. No other country has reported similar incidents among their diplomatic staff.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This certainly seems to be an "Occam's razor" approach to the problems presented here, and make far more sense than any of the outrageous charges presented against both Cuba and China.

AN AMERICAN CENTURY OF BRUTAL OVERSEAS CONQUEST BEGAN AT GUANTÁNAMO BAY

IT IS A testament to the Washington establishment’s rhetorical dexterity that it labeled Guantánamo Bay home of the world’s most dangerous terrorists. U.S. leaders meant, of course, to refer to the hundreds of non-Americans detained at the base over the past 16 years. But a closer look at the history of Guantánamo tells a different story — one in which the United States, beginning 120 years ago this June, used the enclave in southeastern Cuba to launch decades upon decades of terroristic overseas conquest.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A " take the high moral ground" country would let go of Guantanamo, and give it back to the Cuban government long ago; however, unfortunately, at this time in its history, the US is not that country.

Torture of prisoners of war goes unabated, both at Gitmo, I was force-fed at Gitmo; what guards are now doing is far worse and at Emerati "Dark Sites" in Yemen.

Yemeni prisoners say the Emeriati offices sexually torture them

Torture rarely produces actionable intelligence, but produces, instead, false confessions, in order to get the torture to stop, and adds "depth and dimmension" to the agendas created with which to support and justify the Unhinged, Surveilled State of America's endless wars on hapless countries which have never done anything to us, but just happen to sit on resources, like oil, rare earth minerals, or opium poppies, which the US government wishes to expropriate.

I would like to politely point out that such torture, particularly in Yemen, is being done under the watch of Gina Haspel, CIA Director, who just assured Congress that she would no longer allow torture, if she got confirmed to the post of CIA director.

Unfortunately, it is painfully apparent that with Ms. Haspel, that public posture, and reality, have utterly no meaningful relationship whatsoever in her world.

Cuban Minister: Backing Syria is firm Cuban decision

Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz affirmed his country ‘s support for Syria in its war against terrorism. During his meeting with Health Minister Dr. Nizar Yazigi in Havana on Thursday, the Cuban Minister said that “standing by Syria and supporting it is a firm Cuban decision that is based on Cuba’s consistent policy of supporting friends and allies.” The Cuban minister noted that the signing of a medical cooperation agreement contributes to enhancing the relations between the two countries in this field and allows the establishment of relations with Syria in other fields. On Wednesday, Syrian and Cuban Health Ministries signed a medical cooperation agreement to strengthen relations in this field. “It’s our duty to provide all kinds of help to the Syrian people in light of the current ordeal they are going through,” he said.

Cuban sonic attacks: Likely winner of ‘US Lie of the Decade’

I can’t think of another story I’ve reported on which was so completely, 100% devoid of facts….

The allegations of Cuban “sonic attacks” are a complete and total joke. If you believe one iota of this scandalous insult to human honesty and decency – you are dangerously gullible.

Why are only White workers in the US and Canadian embassies reporting health problems, when Cubans act as embassy guards, janitors, etc.? Are injurious sound waves racist?

I talked to Cubans guarding the abandoned Canadian embassy: they said their health is totally fine. The US embassy is in a densely-populated area – hundreds of locals should have been impacted, but nobody has reported any problems.

Scientists of all nationalities have declared: the idea that imperceptible sonic waves can cause brain damage is against the laws of acoustic physics. Scientists are entirely too charitable when they attribute as “mass hysteria” the self-reported and unproven “physical affects”.

Diaz-Canel tapped to steer Cuba through post-Castro uncertainty

Cuba turns to a model Communist Party official, Miguel Diaz-Canel, to steer it through a period of uncertainty when it finally turns the page on the Castro era in a vote on Thursday.

Cuba’s parliament meets in session for electing Raul Castro’s successor

Cuba’s new National Assembly (single-house parliament) has gathered for its first session at Havana’s Palace of Congresses for electing a successor of the current president of the country’s State Council, Raul Castro. The session is being telecast live. No foreign correspondents, except for photographers and TV cameramen, have been allowed to attend. The session will last for two days. On Wednesday, the legislators will elect the legislature’s leadership and then, the president, first deputy president and another 29 members of the State Council. Under the Cuban Constitution, the president of the State Council is the head of state and government. The State Council’s makeup and the name of the new head of state will be announced on Thursday. Raul Castro has led the State Council since 2008, when he replaced his elder brother, leader of the Cuban revolution Fidel Castro (1926-2016). Raul Castro, 86, has said more than once he has no intention of seeking a third five-year term.

Cuban Missile Crisis the sequel? Russia urged to reopen old Soviet military base near Havana amid US tensions

Tensions between Russia and the US could be ramped up further if Vladimir Putin agrees to reopen the old Soviet-era military base in Cuba.

The base in question, near Havana, was opened in 1962, in response to American ballistic missile deployment in Italy and Turkey.

It sparked the Cuban Missile Crisis, considered to be the closest the Cold War came to escalating into full-scale nuclear war.

The base was closed in 2002, but now, two of President Putin's key parliamentary allies are urging him to reopen the unit, just a few hundred miles from the Florida coastline.

Their calls come after the American placing of US missile defence systems close to Russia's borders.

SCIENTISTS CLAIM ‘SONIC ATTACKS’ IN CUBA WERE LIKELY CAUSED BY POORLY ENGINEERED EAVESDROPPING DEVICES

Scientists believe the root of a ‘sonic attack’ that led to the US State Department recalling 21 employees and reducing staff from its embassy in Cuba could’ve just been ‘bad engineering.’

In September 2017, the State Department pulled 21 diplomats and their families out of Cuba and stopped issuing travel visas to the country after embassy workers reported hearing loss, dizziness, speech issues, cognitive problems and other medical symptoms that appeared to stem from a ‘sonic attack’ in their homes or hotel rooms.

Some Canadian embassy workers also reported feeling ill from a high-pitched noise.

Doctors, FBI investigators and US intelligence agencies all tried to identify the source of the ‘sonic attack,’ with some people postulating that a sonic weapon or even a poisoning was being deployed against the embassy workers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

US hardliners used the "sonic attacks" to block normalization of relations with Cuba and maintain the now 60-year old embargo against the island (proving the CIA knows how to hold onto a grudge for the Bay of Pigs). But as we are apparently heading to war with Russia the last thing the US needs is for Russia to regain the old Soviet foothold on Cuba, so they are saying the attacks were an accident. This means the plan to normalize relations with Cuba will move forward to bring them into the US sphere of influence and block Russian access. That in turn means the ending of the embargo, and I, for one, look forward to some Cuban rum and Cuban cigars! :)

Hurricane Katrina: US Let Its Citizens Die Rather Than Accept Cuban Aid

Of the many stories written about Hurricane Katrina in autumn 2005, and its devastating consequences, one crucial element is virtually overlooked. During the all-important hours after the tropical cyclone laid waste to sections of south-eastern United States, the Bush administration ignored the aid of its Cuban neighbor.

Cuban leader Fidel Castro offered to ship over 1,600 doctors and dozens of tons of medical supplies to the US’s affected areas. Considering the decades-long terrorist attacks perpetrated against Cuba by US governments, in addition to a crippling embargo, it was a noble gesture by the Castro government.

A gesture largely erased from the record too – it wouldn’t do for the powers-that-be to raise Cuba’s profile while questioning the leader of the free world. Castro’s remarkable offer was not altogether surprising if one looks at the record.

CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION SEEKS BIOMETRIC ID FOR ALL MAJOR U.S. AIRPORTS WITHIN 4 YEARS

Despite Customs and Border Protection admitting to ongoing privacy concerns over data retention (currently planned for a 2-week maximum), an article in The Business of Federal Technology highlights that a rapid expansion of biometric airport security is imminent.

Until now, biometric ID has been used or tested at 5 international airports. Although there was a clear assumption of a wider roll-out, it was unclear what the timetable was for implementation and how pervasive the program would become. Apparently, if all goes well for CBP, it will be in ALL U.S. airports within just 4 years, according to statements given to senators by Commissioner Kevin McAleenan:

McAleenan, who is facing confirmation to hold the top CBP job on a permanent basis, told members of the Senate Finance Committee that the agency planned to expand current trials at five international airports to all major airports in the U.S. in four years.

Webmaster's Commentary:

For national travel, this is simply going to push people back into their cars on to already overloaded, packed, and in many cases, crumbling US highways.

IF this is the outcome CBP wants this technology to have, then bravo, well done!!

And BTW, CBP: the fastest way to eliminate terror in this country, is to stop mucking about with other countries' resources, expropriating them to the corporations which own this country, and to which they have utterly no moral right, and insuring that those resources are only sold for the US dollar.

You're welcome!! :-)

NEW COLD WAR? NORTH KOREA STRENGTHENS TIES WITH CUBA

Pyongyang hopes to rekindle a Cold War-era friendship.

Korean Central News Agency announced Friday that North Korea’s Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho and his delegation will be traveling to Cuba, in hopes of revamping international support amid sanctions and widespread condemnation of Pyongyang’s nuclear missile tests.

The Washington Post reported that North Korea’s visit to Cuba occurs as Pyongyang’s largest trading partners announced they would halt trade with the isolated nation. Shocking JFK docs show US had plans to murder Cuban refugees — then blame Castro to start a war

As Miami New Times reports, a set of documents related to Operation Mongoose — which was the Central Intelligence Agency’s plot to remove Castro from power — show that the U.S. at one point considered staging terrorist attacks against Cuban refugees that were either headed to or were already residing within the country.

A paper approved by the Joint Chiefs of Staff in 1962 outlined a plan to create a pretext for invading Cuba and overthrowing the Castro regime that involved killing refugees and then pinning the blame on Castro’s government.

“We could develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area,” the report read. “The terror campaign could be pointed at Cuban refugees seeking haven within the United States. We could sink a boatload of Cubans en route to Florida (real or simulated).”

California Can Now Jail People For Misusing Gender Pronouns

California can now start jailing people that refuse to use the preferred gender pronouns of nursing home residents after Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown signed the bill Thursday.

The law’s effect is limited to nursing homes and other long-term care facilities, but mandates that those who “willfully and repeatedly” refuse “to use a transgender resident’s preferred name or pronouns” can be slapped with a $1,000 fine and up to one year in prison, according to the California Heath and Safety code.

Known as the “LGBT Senior Bill Of Rights,” the legislation also requires nursing homes and care facilities to allow residents to use the bathroom of their choice, regardless of biological sex. The bill’s author, state Sen. Scott Weiner, argues that religious views don’t hold weight in public areas.

US "Evaluating Shuttering Cuba Embassy" After Unexplained Sonic Attacks, Tillerson Says

“On Thursday it emerged that the “attack” – which Cuba denies – was in one case a blaring, grinding noise which jolted an American diplomat from his bed in The Capri, a Havana hotel popular with tourists.

The diplomat, according to AP, moved just a few feet, and there was silence. He climbed back into bed – and then the agonising sound hit him again.

"None of this has a reasonable explanation," said Fulton Armstrong, a former CIA official who served in Havana long before America re-opened an embassy there.

Cuba WANTS normalized relations with the United States. They want an end to the almost 60-year old embargo. So, if indeed there is something being done at the embassy, it is NOT Cuba who is doing it.

More facts revealed about mystery sonic attacks on US embassy in Cuba

American officials have revealed more information about a mysterious sonic device that is believed to have caused numerous diplomats to suffer hearing loss and other serious ailments. Last month, the Associated Press reported that the first hearing-loss symptoms were reported by personnel at the US embassy in Havana in the fall of 2016. The news agency said that at least five embassy personnel reported suffering from sudden and unexplained loss of hearing. The symptoms were so serious that caused some American diplomats “to cancel their tours early and return to the United States”, according to the Associated Press.

MYSTERY SONIC DEVICE BLAMED FOR FOREIGN DIPLOMATS’ HEARING LOSS IN CUBA

Authorities in Cuba, the United States and Canada are investigating reports that several foreign diplomats stationed in Havana have been experiencing severe hearing loss in recent months. Some are blaming the deployment of a mystery “covert sonic device” for the diplomats’ symptoms. The allegations originate from diplomatic personnel stationed at the US embassy in Havana. The embassy reopened in 2015, 54 years after it was closed down following a series of diplomatic rifts between Cuba and the US during the height of the Cold War.

US embassy employees in Cuba possibly subject to 'acoustic attack'

The US believes several State Department employees at the US embassy in Havana were subjected to an "acoustic attack" using sonic devices that left at least two with such serious health problems they needed to be brought back to the US for treatment, several senior State Department officials told CNN.

A US government official told CNN that the who, where and when point to "an attack" -- the US is investigating whether a third country was involved as "payback" for actions the US has taken elsewhere and to "drive a wedge between the US and Cuba."

Russia to upgrade sugar mills in Cuba

Power Machines will take part in upgrade of turbines mounted in Cuba’s sugar mills, export sales director of the Russian machine-building company Yuri Kolesnikov told TASS on Friday. 75 turbines were supplied for power units of Cuban sugar mills in times of the Soviet Union, Kolesnikov said. "These turbines have been significantly worn out for the time being. We agreed on a technical expert examination of this equipment with the Cuban party and will offer a list of spare parts for delivery according to its findings. Their installation will make possible to restore normal operability of units already in coming future," he said. Upgrade of turbines is planned later on for the purpose of increasing their capacity, the manager said. "The Cuban party is highly interested in that. We have technical capabilities and are ready to meet this requirement".

At UN Meeting Near Auschwitz, Israel Calls for Minute’s Silence; Cuba Requests One for the Palestinians

Cuba’s delegate at a U.N. meeting an hour’s drive from the site of a Nazi extermination camp in Poland objected Tuesday to an Israeli request for a minute’s silence for Holocaust victims – then called for another one, for the Palestinians. The meeting of the U.N. Education Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) heritage committee had earlier passed an Arab-initiated measure denouncing Israeli activity in Jerusalem’s Old City and declaring it an “occupying power” in the city. Israeli ambassador Carmel Shama HaCohen noted the proximity of Auschwitz to the meeting and linked modern-day efforts to separate the Jewish people from their ancient capital to Hitler’s campaign.
Note: Except it wasn't an extermination camp. They had 11 orchestra, a hospital, soccer field, brothel, script money to purchase articles. When will this end. When you say it does.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day official visit to the US, on Sunday addressed the Indian diaspora near here in Virginia.
Here are the top quotes of PM Modi at the event:
1/ When India talked of terrorism 20 years back, many in the world said its a law and order problem and didn't understand it. Now terrorists have explained terrorism to them so we don't have to.

U.S. punishes American firm after its Canadian subsidiary leases cars to Cuban embassy in Ottawa

U.S. President Donald Trump rolled back some of the key measures of his predecessor's rapprochement with Cuba Friday, making it harder for American tourists to travel to the island, and harder for American corporations to do business there.

That move was immediately met with a rebuke from Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

TRUMP PLANS TO REVERSE OBAMA’S CUBA POLICIES

New reports out of the Daily Caller suggest that President Trump is planning to soon make an announcement that he is reversing all of President Obama’s moves to reopen US-Cuba relations, which saw a reestablishment of diplomatic ties, a slight loosening of business restrictions, and even talked about permission to allow Americans to visit the island nation.

President Trump has been of two minds on this issue, as in 2015 he said he saw nothing wrong with the US opening Cuba, but during last year’s campaign he repeatedly threatened to terminate all of Obama’s deals on the island, claiming he was as hostile to Cuba trade as Sen. Marco Rubio (R – FL).

And it appears Rubio, along with some other politicians who have made their career at least in part on being anti-Cuba, who have gotten Trump’s ear on the matter, and under heavy pressure from them Trump appear to be planning to knuckle under and close down contact with the island.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word please; I would like to remind you that the US, which had once been at war with Vietnam, is now one of its trading partners.

The US government has never technically been at war with Cuba; it just could't forgive or forget that Cuba threw out its puppet, Batista, when Castro took power.

Perhaps, now might be the time to forgive and forget, and institute a policy of peace, trade, and travel?!? That...would be both logical, and very presidential, sir.

Confirmed: Hillary And CIA Colluded With Foreign Spies To Defeat Trump

In an effort to once again demonize Trump with the tired ‘Russian collusion’ angle, liberal newspaper The Guardian has instead proved what we have suspected all along. The article states that European spy agencies passed this ‘intel’ to CIA director John Brennan, who then used to orchestrate a full on campaign of political espionage against Trump.

In the following video, Right Wing News re-examines the timeline of the whole fiasco and explores Brennan’s motivations. Did he become overly enamored by the Muslim world during his time as a station chief in Saudi Arabia and now views Trump’s realistic view of Islam as anti-Islamic? That wouldn’t be at all surprising; Brennan was an American Communist Party supporter at the height of the Cold War and brought in a host of like-minded ilk into the CIA. Or was it simple greed; did he just want to keep his position as CIA director under a Hillary presidency?

US Will Keep Ground Troops in Libya

In a press briefing at the Pentagon today, African Command leader Gen. Thomas Waldhauser announced that the US intends to keep ground troops in Libya for the foreseeable future to support “friendly forces,” and to “degrade” the ISIS forces that remain in the country.

Waldhauser did not specify how many US troops are in Libya now, or how many will stay, but did estimate that there were less than 200 ISIS fighters left in Libya. The US had announced the end of the anti-ISIS campaign in Libya back in December, but never fully withdrew from the country.

The US forces were in Libya trying to help the “unity” government defeat ISIS in the city of Sirte. US officials repeatedly claimed the city was totally surrounded, and that no ISIS fighters would get away, though when the fighting finally ended, a substantial number of ISIS fighters did in fact get away.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: this is "military-speak" for the reality that the US government is never leaving Libya because of the oil and the oil pipelines.

Why Was the FBI Investigating General Flynn?

There appears to have been no basis for a criminal or intelligence probe. National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was dismissed amid a torrent of mainstream-media reporting and disgraceful government leaks (but I repeat myself). Among the most intriguing was a New York Times report the morning after Flynn’s resignation, explaining that the former three-star Army general and head of the Defense Intelligence Agency was “grilled” by FBI agents “about a phone call he had had with Russia’s ambassador.” No fewer than seven veteran Times reporters contributed to the story, the Gray Lady having dedicated more resources to undermining the Trump administration than the Republican Congress has to advancing Trump’s agenda. Remarkably, none of the able journalists appears to have asked a screamingly obvious question — a question that would have been driving press coverage had an Obama administration operative been in the Bureau’s hot seat. On what basis was the FBI investigating General Flynn?

U.N. Admits Global Warming Agenda Is Really About Destroying Capitalism (Video)

It wasn’t all about saving the world from environmental catastrophe. Like any other closed-door meetings, talks or conventions, there will always be an ulterior motive behind every movement and theirs was for the destruction of the long-established Capitalism that has shaped economies since the time it came into existence.

The Executive Secretary of the U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change even said as much more than once, so as not to be referred to as a mistake. And with the mainstream media’s backing, this global scame has been relatively easy for the U.N. to continue to spread its distorted message to people who cannot, or will not, easily distinguish fact from fiction.

Cuba’s Castro says US new administration’s plans put at risk Latin American interests

"It would be desirable of the United States’ new administration to opt for respectful attitudes to the region but the plans that have been announced are alarming as they jeopardize our interests in the areas of trade, employment, migration and environment," he said. Cuba, in his words, is committed to discussing with Donald Trump’s new government "outstanding problems in bilateral relations on the basis of equality, reciprocity, respect to sovereignty and independence of our country and to continuing respect-based dialogue and cooperation on issues of mutual interest." Washington and Havana "can cooperate and live side by side in a civilized way, respecting their differences and promoting everything that is beneficial for both countries and nations," he said and warned that Cuba would make no concession in what concerns its sovereignty and independence.

Trump, Kissinger and Ma playing on a crowded chessboard

Place your bets on who will be the major partner in the Trump, Kissinger and Ma law firm.

Kissinger has drafted a plan to officially recognize Crimea as part of Russia and lift the Obama administration’s economic sanctions.

The plan fits into Kissinger’s overall strategy — call it a traditional British Balance of Power, or Divide and Rule, approach — of breaking up the Eurasian front (Russia-China-Iran) that constitutes the real “threat” to what Mattis defines as the “established world order.”

US Intel Agencies Try to Strong-Arm Trump Into War with Russia

The big shots who run the country are trying to strong-arm ‘the Donald’ into carrying their water so the depredations can continue...

Powerful elites are using the credibility of the US Intelligence agencies to demonize Russia and prepare the country for war.

Last week’s 25-page report, that was released by the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, illustrates to what extent intelligence is being “fixed around the policy”.

The Intelligence Community has been coerced into compromising its credibility to incite fear of Russia and to advance the geopolitical ambitions of deep state powerbrokers.

Risks and Opportunities for 2017

Just a few days into 2017 and we can already say with a great degree of confidence that 2017 will be a historical year. Furthermore, I submit that 2017 will be the “Year of Trump” because one of roughly three things will happen: either Trump will fully deliver on his threats and promises, or Trump deliver on some, but far from all, his threats and promises or, finally, Trump will be neutralized by the Neocon-run Congress, media, intelligence community. He might even be impeached or murdered.

Of course, there is an infinity of sub-possibilities here, but for the purpose of this discussion I will call the first option “Trump heavy”, the second one “Trump light” and the third one “Trump down”.

Obama’s ‘Farewell To Arms’ As War Presidency Ends

Self-declared liberal Americans consider Bush to be a warmongering disaster, yet somehow they hail Obama as some kind of progressive «peace president».

Eight straight years of warmongering come to an end as US President Barack Obama bows out with his «farewell to the nation» speech this week, as fawning American media dubbed his valediction.

In reality, Obama’s outgoing address should have been billed as a «farewell to arms» made by arguably one of the most belligerent presidents to ever have occupied the White House.

Only in exceptionally delusional America could such a pernicious paradox be presented as something honorable and sentimental.

2016: The Year of Russia’s Triumph – The Saker

2016 has been a fantastic year for Russia. Putin’s policy of slow, low-key and deliberate move and counter-move has proven to be extremely effective.

Just like European maps place Europe in the center of the planet, so do most western commentators look at the past year from a US/Europe-centered perspective. Which is fair enough. Furthermore, the AngloZionist Empire has just suffered two major disasters, the Brexit and the election of Trump.

The credit for the election of Donald Trump goes first and foremost to the American people to whom I sincerely believe the entire planet owe a heartfelt and loud “THANK YOU!!!!!”.

Not only did the British people defy the Empire and vote for a Brexit, but now the Imperial Homeland has “backstabbed” them by electing a patriot who is not interested in maintaining the global empire (or so he says, at least for the time being).

Putin’s Bear to Obama’s Turkey

Putin's stoic statesmanship speaks for itself.

Not for the first time, the contrast in character between Putin and Obama was illustrated in the latest diplomatic spat over alleged Russian hacking.

For one thing, Putin’s gracious magnanimity always in the face of American provocations shows the Russian leader to be a fine statesman and human being; whereas Obama looks like a pathetic, cheap nonentity.

President Putin made a surprise attack:

He said that his government would not take retaliatory measures. Indeed, he went further by offering seasonal goodwill greetings to President Obama, his family and the people of America, as well as repeating invitations to the children of accredited US diplomats in Russia to festivities being held at the Kremlin.

Back to the Future: From the USSR to the Eurasian Century

Get ready, because the thick of the action starts now.

The 2008 casino capitalism-provoked financial crisis, plus the American “resolve” to remake the so-called Greater Middle East through wars of choice, regime change and covert ops miserably failed.

As we wait for the dawn of the Trump era – an almost intergalactic geopolitical question mark – what’s certain is that the War Party US deep state won’t admit defeat. And the key geopolitical riddle to be answered is how strident internal American tensions will deal with the hub of progressive Eurasia integration: Russia, China and Iran.
