Honor Dr. King? Then honor King Family civil trial verdict that US government are the assassins, and demand .01% arrests for murder + coverup. Your alternative: live under killers’ control forever, murdering all approaching Martin’s leadership

*hyperlinks/videos live at source*

“We have done what we can to reveal the truth, and we now urge you as members of the media, and we call upon elected officials, and other persons of influence to do what they can to share the revelation of this case to the widest possible audience.”~ Coretta Scott King, Martin's wife, King Family Press Conference, Dec. 9, 1999.

"We as a family have done our part. We have carried this mantle for as long as we can carry it. We know what happened. It is on public record... Any serious researcher who wants to know what happened can find out.” ~ Dexter Scott King, Martin's son and King Center CEO, remarks on the verdict

For ten years I’ve done what I can to publicly communicate the facts of the King Family civil trial verdict of US government guilt to assassinate Martin. The King Center documents the family’s civil trial that found US government agencies guilty of assassinating Martin in 1968.

The evidence of guilt is overwhelming:

The Price Of Empire

Why America and Britain Are Self-Destructing (And What the World Can Learn From it)

It’s a striking fact of today’s world that the two rich societies in shocking, swift, sharp decline are America and Britain. Nowhere else in the world, for example, are real income, life expectancy, happiness, and trust all plummeting, apart from maybe Venezuela (No, “but at least we’re not Venezuela!” is not the bar to aim for, my friends.)

Their downfall is, of course, a self-inflicted catastrophe. But the interesting question is: why? And what does it tell us about what it takes to prosper and thrive in the 21st century, which is something that America and Britain clearly aren’t doing, and maybe aren’t capable of doing?

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is one of the most brilliantly said observations I have read, on the current situations in the Unhinged, Surveilled State of America.

Societies, just like the world around us, have life cycles. There is a birth, a flowering, and ultimately, a death, sometimes followed by a rebirth - a renaissance - of something that works much better; there are no guarantees here, however.

Right now, in their staggeringly brutal will to hold on to their power and possessions at any cost, the masters of the American universe are losing their grip, both on the narrative, and the reason these everlasting wars need to be pursued to the point of societal ruin.

The Women's March Distracts From America's More Pressing Injustices

Earlier this month in India, close to five million women literally joined hands in Kerala, a state in the southern part of the country, to form a 385-mile
human chain to demand gender equality. They were protesting right-wing Hindu hotheads who, in defiance of a recent ruling by the country's Supreme Court, were preventing two women from entering an ancient Hindu temple that banned menstruating-age, meaning sexual, women because, as per its lore, they are considered "impure."

Meanwhile, back here in the good old U.S. of A, the third annual Women's March planned for tomorrow is in serious trouble, thanks to irreconcilable political disagreements.

LIBERTY: WHEN GOVERNMENT FEARS THE PEOPLE

Our greatest of Founding Fathers and our third U.S. president had it right: “When the people fear the government there is tyranny, but when the government fears the people there is liberty!” Knowing that the government over time since our founding as a free nation would grow very corrupt and oppressive, Thomas Jefferson predicted and advocated revolution, even a violent one when necessary – in effect to clean out the swamp that would necessarily seek to gobble up liberty. While he saw some government as necessary evil, he thus had a huge fear about its ultimately enslaving the lives of American citizens, as it had in France, where he also was one of the architects of its bloody revolution.

Bill Barr’s CIA Resume: Cover-Ups, Covert Operations, and Pardons

With President Trump reserving the possibility that he might pardon former aides indicted by Mueller, Barr’s handling of the Iran-Contra pardons of 1992 is revealing.

The CIA was in real danger. The trials of George and Clarridge promised to be a public relations nightmare or worse.. Sen. Pat Moynihan, chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee had introduced a bill to abolish the clandestine service. The Cold War was coming to an end and the agency’s future was in doubt.

In his oral history, Barr urged Bush to pardon the CIA men on the grounds that they were victims of the “criminalization” of foreign policy. When it came to pardoning, Barr said he “favored the broadest” use of the power.

“There were some people arguing just for Weinberger, and I said, No, in for a penny, in for a pound,” Barr recalled.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, in essence, Barr was picked for his fealty to "towing the Party Line", and making sure that top-drawer politicos avoid any consequences for their actions?!?

I am having a Picard double-face palm, at this moment, at warp speed, upon reading this!

Hillary Clinton Wants New York State to Legalize Abortions Up to Birth: “There’s No Time to Wait”

Hillary Clinton is not on the campaign trail right now, but she still is using her influence to push legalized abortion up to birth.

On Sunday, she announced plans to help New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo push a radical pro-abortion bill in his state.

“I’ll be joining Gov. Cuomo as he lays out his plan to codify Roe v. Wade and pass the Reproductive Health Act,” Clinton wrote on Twitter. “There’s no time to wait.”

Cuomo made no secret of his plans to ram the pro-abortion bill through the state legislature. He said he wants to see it pass within 30 days.

Friday Humor: Progress On Toxic Masculinity Turns Woman's Boyfriend Into "Weepy Little Pansy"

Expressing disbelief at her romantic partner’s dramatic behavioral shift, local woman Emily Kittleson, 30, told reporters Friday that she had not expected her boyfriend’s attempts to recognize and curtail toxic masculinity would eventually turn him into a “weepy little pansy.”

“Christ, I know the dope is trying to be conscious of the effects of his words and actions and to be more open and honest with his emotions, but there’s got to be a limit,” said Kittleson of her boyfriend Shane Magnusen, 31, whose efforts to reject toxic masculinity have begun to irritate her as she claims he has evolved into “a fragile fucking flower about everything” in recent weeks.

Trump’s New Missile Policy Relies Heavily on Largely Unproven Technologies

President Donald Trump took to a Pentagon podium on Thursday to paint a picture of a gathering storm — a not-too-distant storm of long-range, defense-evading enemy missiles.

“All over, foreign adversaries, competitors, and rogue regimes are steadily enhancing their missile arsenals…Their arsenals are getting bigger and stronger,” Trump said. “They’re increasing their lethal strike capabilities, and they’re focused on developing long-range missiles that could reach targets within the United States.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

A foreign policy coming from this White House to engage, rather than enrage those members on the world stage who absolutely have this technology, would be a wonderful thing to see, from this administration.

Unfortunately, however, this administration is so "pedal to the Metal" war-centric, as though this is the ONLY way to resolve geopolitical tensions, that such a foreign policy shift... is apt to happen only... when pigs discover they are aerodynamic.

Manbij Attack Gives US Hawks, and ISIS, Exactly What They Want

An ISIS suicide bombing in Syria’s Manbij killed four US troops. This caused a minor redesign in the narrative from hawkish US politicians and media pundits who were opposed to the US withdrawal from Syria. They’re exactly as opposed as before, only now Manbij is the excuse.

So after weeks of centering their talking points on saving the Kurds from Turkey, the focus now is on the idea that ISIS is emboldened by the announced US pullout, and that continuing the pullout will only make the withdrawing soldiers a target.

Their solution is to keep US troops in Syria, which ironically is also ISIS’ solution. Having lost their caliphate and become a desert-centric insurgency with little territory, the US pullout would be a big blow to ISIS’ already crumbling relevance as an international movement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I cannot help but wonder if those US soldiers killed, were not the "sacrificial lambs", being lead to slaughter, as the "excuse" for keeping the US military in Syria?!?

There are deep divides in the American body politic on this; and some of those in the US "deep state" may well have been willing to justify any sacrifice made, to prove their continued legitimacy in their perspective here.

"Assassins on speed-dial?!?"

I would love to say, no; but unfortunately, both the 20th and 21st century are rife with examples of political assassinations of people certain elements in the US government ... just do not like, or want to "neutralize" to prove a geopolitical point.

US Airstrike Kills 23 in Eastern Syria, Mostly Fleeing Civilians

US airstrike targeted a group of fleeing civilians outside of the village of Baghouz in eastern Syria on Friday. The attack killed at least 23 people, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The majority of those slain were civilians, though there are reports that some of the fleeing people were ISIS members. Activists said they believe the majority had been displaced from nearby areas, and were fleeing again.

This comes amid the latest offensive by US-backed Kurdish forces against the three ISIS towns in eastern Syria, and the adjoining villages. These areas have been repeatedly attacked, lost and regained, and every time it leads to a number of displaced civilians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So.... allegedly, the US military is leaving Syria, but continues to bomb from the air, killing more civilians.

Turkey says Syria regime forces shouldn't be allowed in Manbij

Turkey on Friday insisted Syrian regime forces should not be allowed in Manbij as US troops withdraw, as proposed by a US-backed Kurdish militia viewed as terrorists by Ankara.

The strategic northern city has been held by the Syrian Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) militia since 2016 after they recaptured the territory from Islamic State jihadists.

But Ankara, who says the YPG is a "terrorist offshoot" of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), has repeatedly called for the militia to leave the city.

"The YPG's efforts to stick the regime in Manbij must absolutely not be allowed," Turkish Foreign Ministry Hami Aksoy said during a press conference in Ankara.

Backed by Washington, the militia has spearheaded the fight against IS but was taken aback when President Donald Trump made the shock decision to pull out 2,000 American ground forces from Syria.

Four Americans, including two US soldiers, were killed this week in Manbij in a suicide attack claimed by IS.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I don't know precisely what Erdogan is thinking here, but.... if, in fact Manbij is, technically, Syrian territory, it should be ceded to the Syrian military.

This is a very delicate balancing act between Syria, Turkey, Russia, and the US, and if not handled with a great deal of diplomatic finesse, could easily explode into more violence.

And I seriously would like to hope and pray, that the world leaders involved in this standoff, will come to their collective senses, and not cause any more misery for the Syrian people than they have already been dealt, courtesy of the jihadis, and those who trained, funded, aided them medically, and supported them.

Come on, guys; the world knows who you are at this point!!!!

SUGAR INDUSTRY QUIETLY PAID SCIENTISTS TO POINT BLAME AT FAT

n the 1960s, the sugar industry funded research that downplayed the risks of sugar and highlighted the hazards of fat, according to a newly published article in JAMA Internal Medicine.

The article draws on internal documents to show that an industry group called the Sugar Research Foundation wanted to “refute” concerns about sugar’s possible role in heart disease. The SRF then sponsored research by Harvard scientists that did just that. The result was published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 1967, with no disclosure of the sugar industry funding.

The sugar-funded project in question was a literature review, examining a variety of studies and experiments. It suggested there were major problems with all the studies that implicated sugar, and concluded that cutting fat out of American diets was the best way to address coronary heart disease.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Proving that Harvard is not above creative lying, when the money is concerned is ample, but does it so tastefully, completely covered in the clothing of "
pure science", that few people are the wiser, when it comes to the real facts.

Tourists are rarely jailed for breaking Miami Beach laws. Not so for the homeless.

Amid a growing national movement away from jailing people for low-level crimes — which critics say can trap defendants in a cycle of poverty and incarceration — Miami Beach has taken the opposite approach.

Last January, after learning that the Miami-Dade state attorney’s office was routinely dropping charges for “quality of life” offenses such as drinking in public and entering a park after hours, Miami Beach hired its own prosecutor to target people who violate city laws. The program, which is the only one of its kind in Miami-Dade County, was part of a broader effort to address nuisance crimes.

But despite residents’ complaints about rampant public drunkenness during spring break and other times that draw a lot of tourists, a review of the cases prosecuted by the new program shows that few tourists have been arrested and prosecuted for drinking in public or for other nuisance crimes.

Instead, public records show, the majority of the cases have involved homeless people.

At least 21 people are killed and 71 injured following a huge explosion at an oil pipeline in Mexico sparked by fuel thieves trying to steal gas, as the president calls in the army to help the victims

A huge fire exploded at a pipeline leaking fuel in central Mexico on Friday, killing at least 21 people and badly burning 71 others.

The leak was caused by fuel thieves illegally tapping the pipeline in a small town in the state of Hidalgo, according to state oil company Petroleos Mexicanos, or Pemex.

Video footage showed dozens of residents near the town of Tlahuelilpan gathered to collect spilled fuel in buckets, garbage cans and other vessels.

'There was a report that residents were on the scene trying to obtain fuel,' according to a police report.

LOCKED UP: HOW THE MODERN PRISON-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX PUTS SO MANY AMERICANS IN JAIL

ou cannot have a discussion on the prison-industrial complex without discussing private prisons. As of 2018, private prisons housed 8.41 percent of incarcerated persons in the United States. While private prisons date back to the colonial days, the modern privatized prisons as we think of them only date back to the 1980s. This was initially due to the explosion of prison population and resulting prison overcrowding that some have tied to the War on Some Drugs.

This spike in incarceration, however, is far more closely tied with the rise of private prisons. Between the years 1925 and 1980, the prison population in the United States remained constant as a proportion of the overall population. In 1983, however, two things happened: First, the first private prisons came into operation. Second, the prison population as a proportion of the overall population began to explode.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Private Prison Industrial Complex, is one of the worst ideas in the world, and many US politicians get money donated from these institutions, rather regularly.

They promise that they can do it more cheaply than do publicly funded prisons, and that may be true; but what happens to that prisoner, before they are released, if they are not released in a coffin, can be a monumental hazard to their physical, and mental health.

Food is substandard; Medical care: lacking in the extreme; and almost zero rehabilitation, which will nearly insure recidivism.

How Private Prisons Increase Recidivism

Study finds private prisons keep inmates longer, without reducing future crime

Private Prison Confinement on Offender: Recidivism Evidence from Minnesota This article goes on to state: "Using multiple measures of recidivism and private prison confinement, 20 Cox regression models were estimated. The results showed that offenders who had been incarcerated in a private prison had a greater hazard of recidivism in all 20 models, and the recidivism risk was significantly greater in 8 of the models. The evidence presented in this study suggests that private prisons are not more effective in reducing recidivism, which may be attributable to fewer visitation and rehabilitative programming opportunities for offenders incarcerated at private facilities."

New Zeaaland Recidivism-forcused: Private Prison Contracts a Model for the States

The US Government, psychologically, has never been able to make up its mind, about punishment, versus rehabilitation, when it comes to its prison population; therefore, it repeatedly fails at both.

TRUMP ADMINISTRATION BACKS SLOW-MOTION RIGHT-WING COUP IN VENEZUELA

A slow-motion coup by right-wing opposition forces is underway in Venezuela. It has the support of President Donald Trump’s administration, and if successful, President Nicolas Maduro will be undemocratically removed from power though he was re-elected last May
.
Juan Guaido of the Popular Will Party in Venezuela was elected to lead the National Assembly, Venezuela’s congress. He said on January 11 that he was ready to replace Maduro.

“The constitution gives me the legitimacy to carry out the charge of the presidency over the country to call actions. But I need backing from the citizens to make it a reality,” Guaido stated.

On January 15, the National Assembly called Maduro’s presidency “illegitimate” and passed a resolution indicating the body no longer believes he has any legal authority.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mikey, Mikey, Mikey; we all know what the US government wants; access to those oil reserves, and pronto!!

Venezuela is the clear global leader in oil reserves

So, Mikely, please do not even attempt to behave as though you gave a rat's anus about the people in this country. GLOBAL DEBT TOPS 244 TRILLION DOLLARS AS "NEARLY HALF THE WORLD LIVES ON LESS THAN $5.50 A DAY"

The borrower is the servant of the lender, and one of the primary ways that the elite keep the rest of us subjugated is through the $244,000,000,000,000 mountain of global debt that has been accumulated.

Every single day, the benefits of our labor are going to enrich somebody else. A portion of the taxes that are deducted from your paycheck is used to pay interest on government debt. A portion of the profits that your company makes probably goes to servicing some form of business debt. And most Americans are continuously making payments on their mortgages, their auto loans, their credit card balances and their student loan debts. But most people never stop to think about who is becoming exceedingly wealthy on the other end of these transactions. Needless to say, it isn’t the 46 percent of the global population that is living on less than $5.50 a day.

PIPELINE ERUPTS IN FIERY EXPLOSION IN MEXICO, KILLING AT LEAST 66

A gas pipeline in the Mexican state of Hidalgo exploded on Friday night, killing at least 21 people in a blast the authorities said was caused by an illegal tap used to steal fuel.

Omar Fayad, the governor of Hidalgo, said on Twitter that more than 70 others were injured in the explosion in Tlahuelilpan, a town about 80 miles north of Mexico City.

The state-run energy company, Pemex, said that the explosion was caused by an illegal fuel tap at the Tuxpan-Tula pipeline.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Pemex has a long, and sordid, history of covering up safety and health issues with their plants, and their explanation of what happened here, is probably no accident. Take a look at the following, if you do not believe me:

Pipeline Erupts in Fiery Explosion

Safety Issues at Pemex

Pemex. Pemex has a long history of alleged violation of human and labour rights regarding engineers, unrightfully considered to be "trusted workers" who have tried to unionize since 1995 and succeeded, after several repression episodes, in doing so in 2008 and 2009, although at a high human cost.

Mexican Blast Stirs Anger, Criticism

https://www.business-anti-corruption.com/country-profiles/mexico/

You catch my drift; anything that Pemex may have done to create these safety hazards, leading to this explosion, will be just swept under the corporate rug, as simply the cost of business as usual.

Tulsi Gabbard and the Great Foreign Policy Realignment

“There’s one main issue that is central to the rest, and that is the issue of war and peace.” Those were the words of Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, Democrat of Hawaii, appearing on CNN on January 12, as she threw her hat into the presidential ring.

Gabbard is one of the few Democrats in the 2020 mix who has experience as a combatant in war. Back in 2004, at the peak of fighting in Iraq, she volunteered for duty with the Hawaii National Guard as it was deployed to that country. So for her, as well as for all the other veterans of our recent wars of choice, America’s Middle East policy is more than an object for armchair strategizing.

Thus did Gabbard smile in agreement when CNN host Van Jones summarized her views as “hawk on terror, dove on regime change.” And most Americans would agree: that is, everybody wants an anti-terrorism policy, but few want more foreign wars and regime changes.

UNIVERSITY DEMANDS STUDENT PAY $500 FOR PUBLIC RECORDS ON ITS CHINESE PROPAGANDA INSTITUTE

Crowdfund to ‘show public agencies they can’t make requesters go away’

Under scrutiny from lawmakers of both parties and academic groups, universities have been closing their Chinese government-run centers at a brisk pace.

The University of Kansas has not publicly moved to shutter its Confucius Institute, however, and a KU student wanted to know if administrators had discussed the possibility. He filed a public records request a month ago.

The taxpayer-funded university gave him an answer Thursday: $506.50.

Conner Mitchell set up a crowdfunding page to raise the money demanded by KU to hand over emails from top administrators that include the phrase “Confucius Institute.” He describes himself as a freelance journalist who has previously written for The Kansas City Star, Palm Beach Post and KU’s hometown newspaper, the Lawrence Journal-World.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF this institution is taxpayer funded, it should have no problems in meeting his request for only as much as it has to pay in copying, or handling, fees; this is thoroughly outrageous, and makes utterly no sense, except for attempting to squeeze this guy financially, as though he were a tube of toothpaste.

TRUMP TO USE FEDERAL FUNDS TO PROP UP US BOMB MAKERS

Welcome to US direct investment in the military-industrial complex.

President Donald Trump has approved direct federal investment in suppliers of American bomb parts and chemicals, part of as much as $250 million in direct investments by the Pentagon, reports The Military Times.

The government funding for those suppliers, under the Defense Production Act, is meant to lift a sub sector of the defense-industrial base that the Pentagon deems weak. It’s also a significant step in broader plans within the administration to remedy fragile markets and foreign dependencies among the military’s suppliers, according to the Times.

“There will be many more of these to come to address gaps and vulnerabilities in the defense-industrial base,” Peter Navarro, director of the White House Office of Trade and Industrial Policy, said. “This is exactly what we should be doing and an example of how the administration is more attentive to the issue.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Apparently, the obscene profits being made right now, in the military industrial complex, are absolutely NOT enough for them to be able to move forward to modernize the US's weaponry program, so they are, again, whining and suckling at the breasts of We the Taxpayers, to the tune of $250 million.

The question I have to ask, is, please, where is this money coming from?!?

And there is no period of public discussion on this?!?

Mysterious spiral staircase of Loretto Chapel in New Mexico

Back in 1873, the Sisters of Loretto in Santa Fe, New Mexico, hired workers to build a chapel on the grounds of the Loretto Academy, a women’s school they ran. The original architect of the chapel died during the construction process, and when the workers had completed the job, everyone soon realized the architect had made a big mistake. He did not include a way for people to ascend the twenty-some feet into the choir loft. They called in experts who all told them that the only way to get into the choir loft was a ladder…a traditional staircase would take up too much room. The Sisters prayed for a miracle…and they received a miracle!

Mount St. Helens, located in southwestern Washington, erupted on May 18, 1980. The volcano, used to be a beautiful symmetrical cone about 9,600 feet above sea level. But the eruption, which removed the upper 1,300 feet of the summit, left a horseshoe-shaped crater and a barren wasteland.

How Jared Kushner Tried to Stop Me From Running the Trump Transition (By Chris Christie)

We didn’t really know each other well by then, despite both of us being close to Donald and both of us working on the campaign. But given the role I had played more than a decade earlier as the prosecutor of his father, real estate developer Charles Kushner, of course there was an added something between us... “You and I are both burdened with things that are difficult for the other person to understand,” I said to him. “You’re burdened with a love for your father that I can’t possibly understand, because he’s not my father. And I’m burdened with facts about your father that even you don’t know, that I can never tell you, because if I did, I would break the law.” Then I turned away from Jared and looked back at Donald.

“I’ve made my decision,” Donald said. “Jared, I know you’re not happy about it, but Chris is the chairman of the transition. Corey, put out the press release.”

Photos of Dog Carts and Milk Women from the Late 19th and Early 20th Centuries

You are on the outskirts of the town, you met country women on their way home to a farm several miles out. When they left home early morning those big, shiny copper cans were full of milk.
For years and years, this quaint scene of little milk carts drawn by such big dogs with shaggy hair was nearly universal. But this mode of transporting milk from the dairy farms to the city customers is passing out of fashion; the woman's daughters will hardly follow the picturesque custom.

Friends & Brothers Captured Together During the American Civil War

This collection of 19th-century photos were taken during the American Civil War. They are photos of unknown soldiers who had chosen to be captured together with a friend or a brother because of the very high odds they’ll never see each other again.
The striking element that gives the photos more touching and sentimental note is the display of affection between the soldiers; they can be seen holding hands, linking arms, or wrapping arms on shoulders.

The National Security Agency Is A Criminal Organization

Unfortunately for Americans, there are many Americans who blindly trust the government and provide the means, the misuse of which is used to enslave us. A large percentage of the work in science and technology serves not to free people but to enslave them. By now there is no excuse for scientists and engineers not to know this. Yet they persist in their construction of the means to destroy liberty.

Imagine if the Media Had as Much Sympathy for Small Business Owners as it Does for Federal Employees

This isn’t to say that the media never covers these topics. But it is fairly safe to say that beyond publications intended specifically for business readers, ordinary media outlets have rarely showed much interest in examining the plight of small business owners in a way similar to how they’ve been covering the effect of the current shutdown on federal workers. Rarely does mainstream coverage emphasize the daily problems that small business owners face in providing payroll for workers (and themselves), meeting customer demands, and keeping the lights on.

Tsunami: History, Tips for Preparation, and What the Future May Bring Us

I was born within the Pacific Ring of Fire. Where I grew up in the North Cascades, I could see volcanos from basically every room in the house. Sauk Mountain you could sometimes see the indentation at the top. Mount Baker was nearby, and steam was sometimes seen coming out of it. Of course, there was Mount Rainier as well, towering over Seattle. Part of the reason my Dad thought it was a good idea to move back to his home state of North Carolina was that between floods and all the possible volcanic eruptions, it did not seem like a great place to be in the long term.

Too Late to Buy a Yellow Vest?

An urgent alert to all Americans: Prepare for emergency action in the 3D world.

New information has come to light that indicates the “final solution” of the globalist agenda to destroy America and enslave its citizens is drawing near.

The entire corporate-run media is a fact-free mental poisoning operation that fabricates fake news on a daily basis to lie about vaccines, GMOs, pharmaceuticals, pesticides and everything else that’s poisoning your body and mind. The lies about President Trump go even beyond the “usual” lies, consisting of wholly fabricated delusions about Russia that utterly lack any shred of evidence or factual basis. The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, BuzzFeed and all the rest are committing orchestrated treason against America, and they’re following orders from a rogue branch of the CIA which has, for decades, specialized in toppling foreign regimes and installing political puppets as “leaders.”

Instead of fighting cartel criminals in Colombia, one US narcotics agent has been implicated in a multi million dollar money laundering scheme involving them. Jose Irizarry, a once heralded DEA agent, is now accused of conspiring with an informant to launder more than $7 million in drug money, sometimes using an underground network called the black market peso exchange, according to a new report by AP.

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL’S TROUBLING COLLABORATION WITH UK & US INTELLIGENCE

SOURCE: MINT PRESS

Amnesty International, the eminent human-rights non-governmental organization, is widely known for its advocacy in that realm. It produces reports critical of the Israeli occupation in Palestine and the Saudi-led war on Yemen. But it also publishes a steady flow of indictments against countries that don’t play ball with Washington — countries like Iran, China, Venezuela, Nicaragua, North Korea and more. Those reports amplify the drumbeat for a “humanitarian” intervention in those nations.

Amnesty’s stellar image as a global defender of human rights runs counter to its early days when the British Foreign Office was believed to be censoring reports critical of the British empire. Peter Benenson, the co-founder of Amnesty, had deep ties to the British Foreign Office and Colonial Office while another co-founder, Luis Kutner, informed the FBI of a gun cache at Black Panther leader Fred Hampton’s home weeks before he was killed by the Bureau in a gun raid.

MALAYSIA TO GOLDMAN: PAY US $7.5 BILLION AND WE WILL DROP 1MDB CHARGES

The Malaysian government has a message for Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon: Your disingenuous, blame-deflecting apology for Goldman's role in one of the biggest financial frauds ever perpetrated in Asia isn't going to cut it.

According to Bloomberg, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng told reporters on Friday that Malaysian prosecutors might consider dropping the criminal charges brought last month against the bank, several Asian subsidiaries and two of its employees (who have also been indicted in the US) if the bank agrees to pay back the total amount that the Malaysian government believes was looted during the fraud.

MONSANTO/BAYER MOVING TO GENOME EDIT FRUITS AND MORE

Not surprising, Monsanto, today hidden behind the Bayer logo, as the world leader in patented GMO seeds and the probable carcinogenic Roundup herbicide with glyphosate, is attempting to quietly patent genetically modified or GMO varieties of fruits using controversial gene-editing. The “beauty” of this for Monsanto/Bayer is that in the USA, according to a recent ruling by the US Department of Agriculture, gene-edited agriculture needs no special independent testing. The developments are not good for human health or safety, nor will it do anything to give the world better nutrition.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Hey, what could possibly go wrong with this?!?

ZIMBABWE CUTS INTERNET AMID CRACKDOWN

Zimbabwe has blocked Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp messaging amid a deadly crackdown on days of violent protests.

A coalition of local human rights groups says at least 12 people have been killed and many more beaten and tortured by security forces this week.

The Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum accused the authorities of cutting off the internet "to mask the massive human rights violations".

The protests were sparked on Monday by a sharp rise in the price of fuel.

Africa Live: More on this story and others from the continent
Despair, anger and anxiety in Zimbabwe's fuel queue
The government has blamed the opposition and political rights groups for the protests, which has seen riot police clashing with protesters in the capital, Harare, and the southern city of Bulawayo after they lit fires and blocked roads using rocks.

One has to wonder: how long Zimbabwe's military will continue to take the government's side, or will there be a moment, when alliances will shift?!?

‘SOMEONE WILL MAKE MONEY BY STOKING FEARS’ – RON PAUL ON NEW US MISSILE DOCTRINE

The new US missile defense strategy is a boondoggle for the military-industrial complex, which will drive the US into more debt and can bring misery upon multiple nations by fueling an arms race, ex-US Congressman Ron Paul said.
Plans to weaponize space with a new layer of sensors unveiled by Trump as part of his administration's Missile Defense Review is an unnecessary and hard-to-implement project that is sure to enrich the military-industrial lobby, Paul told RT.

"The biggest issue here is someone is going to make a lot of money on it. It reminds me of Star Wars. They've never really developed it, but people got excited about it," Paul said, drawing parallels between President Donald Trump's new endeavor and former President Ronald Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative program.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump has truly devolved into the borg of America's military/industrial complex; for him, resistance was, and is, futile, courtesy of the marvelous support for him, by this industry, due to soaring profits from these never-ending wars.

FBI REFUSES TO DISCUSS DETENTION OF AMERICAN IRANIAN TV ANCHOR MARZIEH HASHEMI

The U.S. Justice Department and FBI continue to refuse to comment on the jailing of Marzieh Hashemi, a documentarian and news anchor on Iran’s English language station, Press TV.

The 59-year-old Hashemi, born Melanie Franklin in New Orleans, is an American citizen. She was in the U.S. filming a documentary on Black Lives Matter and visiting family when the FBI suddenly arrested her.

Hashemi is being held in Washington DC’s Correctional Treatment Facility. According to a Department of Corrections worker, she is in court now, but phone calls to DC district courts failed to find her.

Hashemi was held 48 hours before being allowed to contact her family. She has complained of ill-treatment. Authorities forcibly removed her headscarf and took her away in handcuffs.

Her son says he was told that she is being held as a “material witness.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder to what end the FBI is holding this woman, and what kind of "confession" she is supposed to give, to enable Americans to do their "2 minutes of hate" appropriately, against her adopted country.

And she is allegedly a "material witness"; to WHAT, please, that she has been treated with all the execrable brutality the American Police State can offer?!?

This reeks of set up.

A Manifesto For A ‘Deplorable’ Party

The “deplorables” now include vast swaths of citizenry around the world: everyone who voted for Trump in the U.S. (and all those who haven’t virtue-signaled their contempt for everyone who voted for him); everyone who voted for Brexit in the U.K. (and all those who haven’t virtue-signaled their contempt for everyone who voted for Brexit), and more recently, everyone who wears a yellow vest in France, and everyone who has yet to virtue-signal their contempt for the yellow vest dissenters.

So why not establish a political party for the “deplorables,” one whose sole aim is to reveal the facts of the matter and let the consequences manifest?Longtime correspondent Simon Hodges has penned a proposed Manifesto for just such a ‘Deplorable’ Party, which is published here in its entirety.

FACEBOOK IS NOW CENSORING TALK ABOUT POLITICS AND RELIGION AT WORK

It's not just social media users that are being censored, now its social media employees.

According to a new report by Business Insider, citing an internal company memo, Facebook is now telling its employees what they can, and can't, talk about at work.

Business Insider reviewed an internal company memo where Facebook's CTO claims to have put together "a set of ground rules for open and respectful communication at work, and a central moderation model."

The memo states: "We're keeping it simple with three main guidelines: Don't insult, bully, or antagonize others. Don't try to change someone's politics or religion. Don't break our rules about harassing speech and expression."

Facebook uses Workplace, an app that allows chat, for internal communication. Employees use it for work related projects, but also occasionally for small talk. The app is targeted as the main area where these new rules will apply.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This "Facebookification" of standard language, which is about to become the "norm" in office communications, reminds me why I am so happy to be an independent, with what I do, professionally.

"STAR WARS" RETURNS: US MILITARY TO DEVELOP SPACE-BASED MISSILE DEFENSE SYSTEM

In what looks to be a highly ambitious and even more highly cost-prohibitive scheme, President Trump has announced his intention to greatly expand US missile defense systems, with a major focus on putting them in space.

During his announcement Thursday at the Pentagon, Trump set out his goals, saying that he wants “to ensure that we can detect and destroy any missile launched against the United States – anywhere, anytime, anyplace.”

The Pentagon has had space-based interceptors on its wish list for some time, but between that and drones with lasers on them, they were far short of the sort of total, planet-wide coverage that President Trump is talking about.

A space-centric missile defense system must inevitably draw comparisons to the Strategic Defense Initiative, commonly called Star Wars, of the 1980s, a controversial and hugely expensive program that also sought space-based interceptors.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, a word, please.

What about being responsible for a foreign policy which engages, rather than enrages, the two major players in this game, China and Russia?!?

Now, THAT... would be an incredible legacy, which you are still capable of creating, notwithstanding a potential impeachment threat from the house, which the Senate will utterly not allow to happen.

And how about, please NOT accusing Russia of something it absolutely did not do, as in the alleged "annexation" of Crimea, which NEVER happened in fact?
President Obama admits that the US brokered a deal in support of regime change in Ukraine

Mr. President, when you took office I was hopeful that perhaps you actually meant what you said, when you spoke of disengaging from these immoral, horrific wars by which our military has been consumed; now, in looking at your record as President, you seem to be hell-bent on getting this country even more enmeshed in military misadventures.

And please, don't even talk to me, about the reality that the US military is complicit in Saudi war crimes in Yemen;America is Committing War Crimes in Yemen and don't give me any reason why in the name of heaven, American troops are in Syria, an engagement to which the US government was never invited in the first place?

The Planned U.S. Troop Withdrawal From Syria: Here's the Latest

Mr.President, due to the actions of your predecessors, the Unhinged, Surveilled State of America, is at an historic turning point, right now; please do not let the dream of the creation of this country turn any more into a nightmare than it already is.

Medieval hostage-taking and prisoner swaps are back in vogue

25
SHARES
Do its member states take the UN Charter seriously any more? The United Nations was originally set up “to establish conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained”. However, since those heady days when international law commanded respect and due reverence from East to West, it now seems that the Charter is no longer worth the paper it’s written on.

An alarming demonstration of this is provided by the number of innocent citizens, many with dual nationality, who are being held hostage by various countries around the world. Indeed, there appears to be an outbreak of hostage-taking by states who are using people as bargaining chips or, in the case of the murdered Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, something much, much worse.
