Ohio's Legal Weed Proposal Could Create the World’s First 'Pot Grower Oligarchy'

Ohio voters will have the opportunity to legalize the commercial cultivation and sale of cannabis this November, including for medical marijuana patients and recreational consumers. A constitutional amendment that officially qualified for the ballot this week would allow adults 21 and over in the state to grow four plants and possess eight ounces of marijuana at home. But the measure is controversial within the pro-marijuana legalization community, and has even united some pot activists and conservative Republicans in opposition.

Privately run Nashville jail forced inmates work without pay building bean-bag "cornhole" games, plaques shaped like footballs, birdhouses and dog beds

Former inmates at a privately run Nashville jail say they worked without pay building bean-bag "cornhole" games, plaques shaped like footballs, birdhouses and dog beds so that officials could sell them through their personal business at a flea market. "Inmates can legally be required to work without pay, in some circumstances, but jail employees are not supposed to profit from their labor. But former inmates Larry Stephney and Charles Brew say that is what happened with Stand Firm Designs, run by two jail employees and one former employee, according to their business card.

Police Hit Organic Farm with Massive SWAT Raid for No Reason, Taxpayers to be Held Liable

In an effort to protect the citizens of Texas, a massive military-style raid was conducted on the Garden of Eden organic farm and commune. On August 2, 2103, nearly two dozen heavily armed SWAT officers stormed this peaceful farm in search of a plant. They found lots of plants, but much to their dismay, they did not find the plant they were looking for. Countless tax dollars and months of half-cocked planning went down the drain that day after it was discovered that police incompetence had led these troops into a battle to which there can be no victor.

US Politicians’ Racist Anti-Iranian Remarks Don’t Make Headlines

snip: It is impossible to imagine the reverse situation—politicians calling Israelis “evil,” liars, “animals,” with media figures encouraging them. The same corporate media that largely ignore inflammatory statements about Iranians would explode. The political figures’ careers would be destroyed; they would perpetually be known as anti-Semites. Yet these same racist attitudes are suddenly tolerated when they are directed toward Iranians.

Siri "Butt Dial" Saves Murfreesboro Man's Life After Truck Falls on Him

iPhone users know "Siri" can do plenty of things at the touch of a button. Add saving a life to the list.

18-year-old Sam Ray was working under his truck on July 2nd when the jack gave way, sending the nearly 5,000 pound truck crashing down on top on him. With his arms trapped, Ray yelled for help, but nobody was able to hear him.

That's when he heard the familiar Siri activation coming from his phone that was in his back pocket. Realizing it was a chance for help, the man was able to "push up on his hip" to activate Siri and requested a 911 call. He finally heard dispatchers on the line and received the help he needed.

TOP EXECUTIVE AT HILLARY'S SERVER COMPANY WAS SUED FOR 'FRAUD' AFTER 'RECEIVING PROCEEDS' FROM $500M PONZI SCHEME RUN BY BACKSTREET BOYS IMPRESARIO

A top executive at the Internet company hired by Hillary Clinton to manage her private email server is an alleged fraudster who was an executive for one of the most notorious Ponzi fraudsters in recent history.

David DeCamillis is said to have been paid $1.5 million as a director of a company run by Lou Pearlman, the disgraced music impresario who discovered The Backstreet Boys and NSync.

DeCamillis was accused of 14 counts of fraud and one count of unjust enrichment when Pearlman’s business was exposed as a $500 million scam.

DeCamillis then got a job at Denver, Colorado, based Platte River Networks as their vice president of sales and marketing whilst Pearlman began serving a 25 year jail term.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This guy was obviously more crooked than a dog's hind leg.

And that brings to mind two questions; how could Hillary, or her staff, NOT have done the "due diligence" to recognise how crooked this guy was, or did they know, and feel he would be "perfect" as the manager for Hillary's email accounts?!?

Either way, having to ask these questions of a woman running for President is troubling, indeed.

“Homegrown Terrorists”: New US Draconian Laws Usher in the New World Order

snip: Clearly mounting evidence blatantly exists in recent years that demonstrate a totalitarian police state power in America. The systematic militarization of police state USA has used terror to recklessly and maliciously abuse its own citizenry, particularly those of color in cities across this nation. The soaring rate of militarized police deploying lethal force to willfully murder unarmed Americans, calculatingly cause growing racial tensions and civil unrest with near complete impunity reflects the growing contempt that agents of US government increasingly harbor against the very citizens they took oaths swearing to protect and serve. This police state phenomenon has unfolded in parallel process with elected government leaders who treasonously plot and destroy America despite taking oaths to both uphold and protect the Constitution and the nation from both foreign and domestic enemies.

The “New Thirty Years War” in the Middle East – A Western Policy of Chaos?

By Steven MacMillan

The Middle East has been in a state of chaos for years now, with each passing year bringing a new wave of instability, carnage and human suffering to the people of the region. From Afghanistan to Iraq, Libya to Syria, Western foreign policy has directly caused or exacerbated much of the chaos we see in the region today and has contributed to a growing trend of instability.

A pertinent question of our time, however, is whether this instability and destabilization is a result of inept strategy by Western nations, or a calculated strategy by the West to intentionally create chaos, balkanize nations and increase sectarian tensions in the region?...

The Business of Biotech: Engineering the Genome for Fun and Profit

snip: If all of this sounds like a lot of work, it is. If it sounds like the switch to 100% non-GMO foods will be a gradual process of weaning yourself off of certain products and sourcing appropriate alternatives, it will. If it sounds like there’s no one to blame at the end of the day for not starting to take these steps, there isn’t. In the end, we can’t directly determine what’s happening in our neighbor’s house (let alone what’s happening in other countries or other continents), but the buck stops where it has always stopped: at our own kitchen table.

We still have the freedom to choose (for the most part) what we put in our mouth and what we don’t. And unless we start taking that freedom seriously as the responsibility that it is, there will be no end to the GMO agenda.

The naked truth about Germany: Clothing is optional

It’s summer in Germany, which means nakedness abounds. In the cities, in the countryside, at lakes and beaches, in city parks, even sometimes in restaurants and certainly in yards where yard work needs doing, Germans who’ve shed their clothes are visible to all. Indoor public pools have “naked days.” There are naked mountain hiking trails. In the winter, some places offer naked sledding.

An Open Letter to: Secretary of State John Kerry and Attorney General Loretta Lynch

The reason stamped on Habib's "deportation" order was that he was denied entry based on "prevention of illegal immigration considerations". When the Israeli border control agent told George that, as a Palestinian, he could not enter Israel, he attempted to engage the agent saying, "I'm not coming through as a Palestinian. I'm coming as an American citizen". To which the agent replied "No, no, you belong with the Palestinian people. This is our Israel, this is for the Jews. No Palestinian should come to Israel. You should have gone through the Allenby Bridge".
Note: American Jews should be enraged about this....are they?

‘Deal or war’: Is doomed dollar really behind Obama’s Iran warning?

This is not just about Iran. It is about other major world economies moving away from holding the US dollar as a means of doing business.

In his drastic prediction of war, one might assume that Obama is referring to Israel launching a preemptive military strike on Iran with the backing of US Republicans. Or that he is insinuating that Iran will walk from self-imposed restraints on its nuclear program to build a bomb, thus triggering a war.

But what could really be behind Obama’s dire warning of “deal or war” is another scenario – the collapse of the US dollar, and with that the implosion of the US economy.

That scenario was hinted at this week by US Secretary of State John Kerry. Speaking in New York on August 11, Kerry made the candid admission that failure to seal the nuclear deal could result in the US dollar losing its status as the top international reserve currency.

People caught illegally downloading Dallas Buyers Club have a big win in the Australian court, they only need to pay the cost of the movie plus a couple of dollars.

More than 4700 customers of internet providers who illegally downloaded the Hollywood blockbuster Dallas Buyers Club have won a reprieve in the Federal Court of Australia.
This means instead of being fined up to $9500 for making an illegal download customers will probably pay only the retail price of the film plus costs. This is likely to amount to less than the cost of a speeding ticket or late video fine.
