21 Wrenching Ernest Hemingway Quotes On Life And War

Ernest Hemingway saw life as a losing battle. Though life would beat you and shred you and knock your teeth in, Hemingway thought he could save his dignity by living dangerously, but bravely. When he was 19, he wrote in a letter to his family, “And how much better to die in all the happy period of undisillusioned youth, to go out in a blaze of light, than to have your body worn out and old and illusions shattered.”

BEX Alert!!! - At Germanwings Crash Site - Chabad emissaries attend memorial service

Together with fellow Chabad emissary in Marseille Eliyahou Attia, Taubenblatt traveled to the scene of the crash. “There were hundreds of beds set up for the families of the victims,” he reported, “but they were empty.”

In accordance with Jewish tradition, which places a premium on bringing the remains of Jewish people to a proper burial, the men set out to see if they could be of any assistance.

While access to the actual crash site—which can be reached only by helicopter—is highly restricted, the two were able to speak to a number of officials and rescue workers.

(Note: Why would the Jewish Supremacist Organization Chabad Lubavitch be so interested in getting access to this crash site crime scene???)

FCC Chair: Net Neutrality Is “Right Choice” Because Big ISPs Want “Unfettered Power”

The net neutrality rule hasn’t yet taken effect, but it’s been under heavy political fire for the past few weeks. Lawmakers hauled FCC chairman Tom Wheeler and other FCC commissioners in before a series of Congressional committees to justify (or, for dissenting commissioners, to vilify) the open internet rule. Those hearings, in large part, were heated and adversarial. But in a speech at Ohio State’s law school today, Wheeler took the chance to say everything that committee members cut him off from.

These are just a few of the suspicious signs that the Transportation Security Administration directs its officers to look out for — and score — in airport travelers, according to a confidential TSA document obtained exclusively byThe Intercept.

Upset By Elizabeth Warren, U.S. Banks Debate Halting Some Campaign Donations

Big Wall Street banks are so upset with U.S. Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren's call for them to be broken up that some have discussed withholding campaign donations to Senate Democrats in symbolic protest, sources familiar with the discussions said.

Representatives from Citigroup, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and Bank of America, have met to discuss ways to urge Democrats, including Warren and Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown, to soften their party's tone toward Wall Street, sources familiar with the discussions said this week.

Bank officials said the idea of withholding donations was not discussed at a meeting of the four banks in Washington but it has been raised in one-on-one conversations between representatives of some of them. However, there was no agreement on coordinating any action, and each bank is making its own decision, they said.

The amount of money at stake, a maximum of $15,000 per bank, means the gesture is symbolic rather than material

Webmaster's Commentary:

Don't worry, Wall Street; thinking Americans know that their candidates have been chosen FOR them by both your, and your associates' overt (and covert) contributions to political campaigns.

Ultimately, whoever winds in national leadership roles will be the best politicians money can buy.

Abraham Lincoln’s Brief Life As Explained By Photos

Abraham Lincoln was born in 1809, which means photography was developed in his lifetime. Like anything that comes into the world while you’re a young adult, men of Lincoln’s generation found photography very exciting and often commemorated important milestones by sitting for a portrait. Lincoln, who was a prominent lawyer in Illinois before becoming an even more prominent politician, sat for more than his share of pictures.

Why Utah is bringing back the firing squad for executions

The future of executions in Utah may not be lethal injections, but rather five professional shooters firing at a prisoner's heart.
On Monday, Utah became one of the few states to allow firing squads for executions after Gov. Gary Herbert signed a law approving this controversial method as a backup if the state can't restock its depleted supply of lethal injection drugs.

White House will go after AIPAC next — Newsweek

One former U.S. intelligence operative with long, firsthand familiarity with Israeli operations called the revelation “appalling but not surprising,” especially under Netanyahu… “The fact that there is such manipulation of our institutions by a so-called ally must be exposed, and the ‘useful idiots’ in [the U.S.] government who toe the Likud line will someday be looked back upon as men and women who sacrificed the U.S. national interest for a foreign ideology—Likud right-wing Zionism,” the operative said, on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter.

A320 LUBITZ CRASH EXCLUSIVE: The A320’s history of unexplained descents into terrain.

On 5 November 2014, Lufthansa Flight 1829, an Airbus A321 was flying from Bilbao to Munich when the aircraft, on autopilot, unexpectedly lowered the nose and entered a descent reaching 4000 fpm rate of descent. The loss of altitude had been caused by two angle of attack sensors having frozen in their positions during climb at an angle, causing the fly by wire protection to assume the aircraft entered a stall while it climbed through FL310.

Recursive Lending Analysis: ‘Money’ is an invisible mathematical trap of perpetual debt

*hyperlinks live at source*

By guest author Paul Grignon, creator of the Money as Debt Trilogy viewed by tens of millions worldwide in 24 languages, and used by Advanced Placement Economics teachers to communicate how what we use for money is created as debt (my AP Econ assignment using Paul’s movie). Paul is an independent researcher, writer, visual artist, and movie creator.

Money created as a debt-of-itself is an elusive concept.  Put simply, most of our money is bank credit, mere numbers on a computer created by a borrower promising to pay the same numbers back to a bank, on a schedule. Logically, in order for it all to be paid back, it has to all remain available to be earned by the borrowers that created it.

Who runs Hollywood? C'mon

Flashback: ... The Jews are so dominant, I had to scour the trades to come up with six Gentiles in high positions at entertainment companies. When I called them to talk about their incredible advancement, five of them refused to talk to me, apparently out of fear of insulting Jews ... As a proud Jew, I want America to know about our accomplishment. Yes, we control Hollywood. Without us, you'd be flipping between "The 700 Club" and "Davey and Goliath" on TV all day ... I don't care if Americans think we're running the news media, Hollywood, Wall Street or the government. I just care that we get to keep running them.

World War II myths fuel Western crimes

Why has the demonization of Hitler—and of anybody one wants to demonize through comparisons to Hitler—become such a massively overused, utterly shopworn cliché?

In Western culture, Hitler is everybody’s favorite villain. And while the German dictator’s transformation from historical figure to avatar of ultimate evil is partially based on fact, it is primarily the product of a mythological process. Scholars who study the creation of myths, legends and folktales can easily see the distortions in mainstream Western accounts of World War II, “the Good War,” enshrined in the collective imagination as a struggle of pure goodness against diabolical evil.
Note: Israel should now be supreme in torture lies and murder.

Israel says to release Palestinian tax funds

Move welcomed by the US which has been at odds with Israel over recent actions

Occupied Jerusalem: Israel said Friday it will release hundreds of millions of dollars in tax funds it has withheld from the Palestinian Authority as a punitive measure.

The United States swiftly welcomed the move, which could help disarm tensions with Washington and the international community after a polarising Israeli election campaign.

“We welcome the decision of the prime minister of Israel to release withheld tax revenues to the Palestinian Authority,” said US State Department spokesman Jeff Rathke.

“This is an important step that will benefit the Palestinian people and will help stabilise the situation in the West Bank.”

Another Phase of Ukraine’s Statehood Crisis: US Embassy Involved in Showdown between Tycoons

The Ukraine’s government is losing independence unable to stop the internal fight between the clans of tycoons. For instance, the current stand-off between Ukrainian big business tycoon Igor Kolomoisky, the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk Region (one of the most important regions of the country) and President Petro Poroshenko was stopped only after the US embassy directly interfered to support the head of state. Poroshenko would not dare launch an open attack against Kolomoisky or, all the more, fire him without Washington’s say so.

In the District of Menace with the 3-headed Mad Dog in the Toilet Bowl.

We're on the verge of something. I don't know if anyone else is feeling what I am. Let me try to describe it. It is a giddy state of heightened sensitivity. It is uncomfortable now and again but... I am told it is always like this during the transitional stages; transitional stages of what? Aye... that's the question. It's difficult to process but... not as difficult as it was a couple of weeks ago (grin). I'm guessing this has less to do with the world situation than it does with a collective elevation in consciousness. We've talked about this before, these weird periods of high end resonance that feel like chaos to many and which I think are responsible for all kinds of unfortunate incidents world wide because a lot of people find it difficult to process them. I guess it is a lot like GHB. You get serious highway action that is attributed to something else and all kinds of fatal accidents, where the victim is unable to come back and tell you how he/she came to not be here anymore.

This US State is on the Verge of a Silver & Gold Revolution!

Everybody that goes off the dollar gets attacked. No wonder they are doing a big military exercise with Texas as the enemy!

The state of Texas is now considering a piece of legislation regarding gold & silver which would be nothing short of revolutionary if passed.

As we recently observed, the “brilliant” elites in DC are currently in full retreat across a broad spectrum of international issues. From being routed on the issue of a Russia/China-led bank in Asia, to having their IMF storm-troopers thrashed in eastern Europe, it’s wonderful to see them with their tail between their legs on such a regular basis!

Make no mistake, others have taken note of these defeats here in the States, and it has given them hope.

The Truth About the Recent Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Outbreaks

Mainstream media measles madness appears to have subsided, as most overly-hyped fear-based propaganda campaigns do.

But measles isn't the only "vaccine preventable" disease that has been rearing its ugly head lately.

Pertussis, more commonly known as whooping cough, has been making the news lately, as there are small outbreaks, well...all over the place.

Why isn't the mainstream media hyping this one up like it did measles?

Let's explore some possible reasons.

Israel to resume tax revenue transfers to the Palestinian Authority

After months of freezing tax revenue transfers as punishment for the Palestinian Authority's application to the Rome Statute, Israel announced on Friday that it will release the money to the interim government in Ramallah.

The announcement was made in a press release by the Prime Minister's Office just before sundown Friday.

This past January, Israel froze the transfer of some NIS 500 million in tax collections to the Palestinian Authority.

The move came as a protest of the formal application for membership of the International Criminal Court that was filed on Friday on behalf of the “State of Palestine.”

Man Jailed for Swearing During 911 Call, After Police Allowed his Mother to Die

In an almost unbelievable case out of Georgia, 58-year-old Boyd Green was arrested and jailed for swearing during a 9-1-1 call. Green was arrested after police allowed his elderly ill mother to die by refusing his numerous requests to perform a welfare check on her.

Green never once raised his voice during the call and simply uttered the phrases “damn bullshit” and “sorry damn asshole” in reference to police actions, or rather inaction, that resulted in the death of Green’s 83-year-old mother.

Georgia law prohibits the use of “obscene, vulgar, or profane language with the intent to intimidate or harass a 911 communications officer,” and the vague language of the law that allowed police to jail Green.

Ron Paul: How Will the Yemeni Civil War End?

This idea that we can run an Empire with military threats, missiles, and economic sanctions is a fallacy.

The Civil War in Yemen is rapidly expanding. We have been forced to close our embassy and military base located there. It is now clear that Obama’s optimism for fighting terrorism in Yemen was misplaced. It hardly sets a standard for dealing with constant conflict and chaos throughout the Middle East.

So far the various factions that we have supported over the years have been poor choices, as usual.

Hopefully someday our government officials will wake up. The counterinsurgency doctrine that was supposed to be the answer to all our military shortcomings is a total failure.
