FYI, Saying ‘Men Aren’t Women’ Now Qualifies as ‘Hateful Conduct’ on Twitter

Twitter’s crusade against “hate speech” has vanquished yet another meany face. A prominent Canadian feminist says that the company flagged a tweet she wrote which meekly suggested that men aren’t women. Isn’t Twitter fun?

The Left’s Linguistic War

One of the key lessons of the 2018 elections is that the Left is waging – and winning – a linguistic war. The Left claims and occupies more and more linguistic ground with each new fight.Defense of the Founding Fathers becomes defense of white, racist, slaveowners. Defense of American identity becomes an act of white male domination.

BANKRUPT SEARS WANTS TO GIVE EXECUTIVES $19 MILLION IN BONUSES

Sears is seeking court approval to pay executives as much as $19 million in quarterly bonuses while the company struggles to restructure in bankruptcy.

Three top executives could get nearly $1 million each if the company goes out of business. If Sears remains in business, they could get nearly $500,000 each for hitting the top performance targets.
Sears gets a little more time to stay in business
Sears gets a little more time to stay in business
Sears filed two different types of bonus plans in bankruptcy court Thursday. The first is for the top 18 "key" executives, who would collectively get as much as $2.1 million per quarter. The bonuses would only be paid in full if Sears reaches its cash-flow targets. Sears Holdings, which includes both Sears and Kmart, has been burning through cash at a rate of about $125 million a month.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The question I (and probably those hourly workers who will NOT get severance payment) are asking is, why should it be normal to pay executives whose decisions created a failed business model?!?

In my world, that money should rightly go to those who have been let go, and will find it horribly hard to find jobs, as the economy tightens.

I am very sure that SEARS picked the judges to hear this on the basis of their own personal wealth, (an easily attained statistic, if one knows how to look for the data), because the monied rarely eat their own, and that these judges would view these executives very sympathetically.

THE POLITICAL REBELLION GATHERS MOMENTUM

When was the last time a monopoly or quasi-monopoly was broken up? A generation ago, or was it two generations ago?

The Ruling Class that wants us to love our servitude incites us to seek divisions: between red and blue, left and right, progressive and conservative, and so on. The Ruling Class in the mainstream media, in Washington D.C. and in Silicon Valley are experts at manipulating language and terminology to divide and conquer.

But beneath the superficial red-blue divide they are hawking, a broad-based political rebellion against the Oligarchy and their Ruling Class nomenklatura is gathering momentum. People left, right and center are awakening to two painfully obvious realities:

1. the political-social-economic system no longer works for the bottom 95%

2. the system is intrinsically unfair--rigged to benefit the few at the expense of the many.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The key question here, is what happens when vote after vote changes nothing, and people get angry and despairing that any real change can happen through their peaceful, political process?!?

THAT ... is what this country's monied and elite need to be asking themselves right now.

ISRAEL POLICE TO RECOMMEND NETANYAHU BE TRIED FOR MEDIA CORRUPTION

Israel Police are willing to submit their recommendations to the Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding their investigation into allegations of corruption against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli media revealed on Friday.

Israel’s Channel 10 news reported that Case 4000 (sometimes known as the Bezeq case) will be the third file in which the police recommend Netanyahu be prosecuted for corruption, having previously recommended he be charged in both Case 1000 and Case 2000.

Channel 10 added that Sara Netanyahu, the wife of Benjamin Netanyahu, will also be investigated next month for her suspected involvement in Case 4000.

Commenting on the investigation, Netanyahu said that he is sure the case will be closed without presenting any indictments against him.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Right now, with Defense Minister Lieberman having resigned last Thursday, and with Netanyahu so desperate to keep his coalition cabinet from falling into further disarray, look for something dramatic to keep the focus off him, and on some other criminal "state actor du jure" (Iran?!? Lebanon??Gaza?? Syria??)

Right now, as a geopolitically "wounded animal" and with opposition parties calling for early snap elections, he desperately needs a huge distraction to keep the media focus off of the potential trial, and on anywhere else possible.

BEWARE: POLICE NOW HAVE A SUPER-STRENGTH CAMERA WHICH CAN SPOT DRIVERS USING MOBILE PHONES OR SPEEDING NEARLY A MILE AWAY

Police have unveiled their new weapon – a camera that can produce clear images of people inside a car almost a mile away and dubbed ‘The Long Ranger’.

The massive camera has been showcased at the launch of a pilot project called Operation Indemnis.

Police in Gloucester are using the whopping camera to tackle motoring offences such as speeding, tailgating and using a mobile phone while driving.

Speed guns have been able to detect how fast cars travel but the new camera produces clear video footage and still photographs of the people inside them.

Martin Surl, Police and Crime Commissioner for Gloucestershire where the kit is being tested, said he hoped that it would catch people using their mobile phones.

When contacted by Mail Online, his office claimed the new camera could produce clear images at twice the distance of a normal one.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would tend to think that this new camera is not really about safety at all, but about building revenues from fines.

IN FIRST, US ENDORSES ISRAELI OCCUPATION OF GOLAN, VOTES AGAINST 9 ANTI-ISRAEL RESOLUTIONS

The US has, for the first time, endorsed the Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights by voting against an annual UN resolution that condemned the occupation and was unanimously approved along with several other resolutions against Tel Aviv.

The resolution titled “The occupied Syrian Golan,” adopted on Friday with 151 votes in favor, two against (Israel and the US), and 14 abstentions, condemns Israel for “repressive measures” against Syrian citizens in the Golan Heights.

The resolution, which was adopted during the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly’s Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee), expresses deep concern that the Syrian Golan, occupied since 1967, has been under continued Israeli military occupation.

The non-binding annual resolution takes issue with the “illegality of the decision” taken by Israel “to impose its laws, jurisdiction and administration on the occupied Syrian Golan,” which is illegal under international law.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why is it, that no matter which political party in this country wins or loses any election, Israel is always the winner?!?

"I Can Not Recall": The Reclamation of George W. Bush Is an American Tragedy

By Maj. Danny Sjursen
The whole charade plays best as farce. Absurdity incarnate. The sight of former President George W. Bush receiving a medal from Democrat Joe Biden – once an ardent opponent of Bush’s war policy – in Philadelphia for “his work with veterans,” on Veterans Day no less, induced nothing short of a gag from this veteran of two Bush wars – Iraq and Afghanistan.

George W. Bush, after all, led the U.S. military – to which I’ve dedicated my adult life – into two ill-advised perpetual wars, one of which was objectively illegal and immoral. In that war, in Iraq, some 7,000 American troops – including three of mine – were killed fighting in an unwinnable quagmire. Furthermore, though it slipped the attention of an American citizenry best known for its provincial inwardness, at least 250,000 Iraqis – mostly civilians – were killed. In a just world this would be labeled what it is – a war crime – but in this era of American hegemony, the populace simply sighs with apathy.

"A federal court ordered Hillary Clinton to answer more questions about her illicit email system – which is good news," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. Total household debt hit a new record high, rising by $219 billion (1.6%) to $13.512 trillion in Q3 of 2018, according to the NY Fed's latest household debt report, the biggest jump since 2016. It was also the 17th consecutive quarter with an increase in household debt, and the total is now $837 billion higher than the previous peak of $12.68 trillion, from the third quarter of 2008. Overall household debt is now 21.2% above the post-financial-crisis trough reached during the second quarter of 2013.

New Documents Reveal CIA Spied on Congress, Whistleblowers

Newly declassified documents reveal the CIA—which is supposed to be strictly limited in the types of surveillance and other secret operations it conducts on U.S. soil—routinely monitors U.S. government computer systems.

That information is contained in two formerly secret letters of “congressional notification” written in 2014 by the Intelligence Community inspector general at the time, Charles McCullough. In the letters, McCullough reveals the CIA secretly intercepted and collected emails between congressional staff and the CIA’s head of whistleblowing and source protection. The collection was said to occur as part of the CIA’s “routine counterintelligence monitoring of government computer systems.”

As the Obama DOJ Concluded, Prosecution of Julian Assange for Publishing Documents Poses Grave Threats to Press Freedom

The Trump Justice Department inadvertently revealed in a court filing that it has charged Julian Assange in a sealed indictment. The disclosure occurred through a remarkably amateurish cutting-and-pasting error in which prosecutors unintentionally used secret language from Assange’s sealed charges in a document filed in an unrelated case. Although the document does not specify which charges have been filed against Assange, the Wall Street Journal reported that “they may involve the Espionage Act, which criminalizes the disclosure of national defense-related information.”

SWEDEN: GREEN PARTY SUGGESTS CONFISCATING CITIZENS’ HOMES TO GIVE THEM TO MIGRANTS

The Green Party in Sweden has suggested confiscating the homes of citizens and giving them to migrants if the property is deemed to be too large or if the owner has more than one residence.

Blogger Katerina Janouch reveals how the party wanted to introduce a new law which would allow “Municipalities to seize housing to give them refugees.”

Under the proposal, authorities would be able to “evacuate people who have too large housing,” for example “couples where the children moved home or cohabited where the partner has a residence elsewhere.”

Under any such legislation, homeowners wouldn’t even be compensated, whereas before the government would have had to pay them at least 125% market value

Webmaster's Commentary:

Taking a page out of the South Africa's, and Zimbabwe's play-book, are you, Sweden?!?

Should this insane notion get passed, expect massive, public protests to occur with a strength and ferocity that will astonish the current government.

Oh, and it will also be the last time that any Swedish politicians who supported this, will be ever be elected... again.

You're welcome, Sweden!

Why the Most Expensive Military Ever Still Can’t Win a War

Lack of funding is clearly not the problem. Increased funding could even invite more bad actors, scammers, and fraudsters into the fray. When you have that kind of cash to hand out, and no accountability, it creates a situation rife for corruption. -- And the saddest part of all is the opportunity cost for American taxpayers. -- We are talking about almost a quarter of the entire US budget here… Imagine how strong the economy would be if that money stayed in the hands of the American people.

In Close Vote, House Blocks Debate on Yemen WarVote was tied to bill cracking down on gray wolves

On Wednesday, in a vote heavily along party lines, the House passed the Manage our Wolves Act 201-187. The vote effectively blocked all debate on the war in Yemen, and precluded that conflict from coming up for a future vote.

This is the second straight year that an attempt to challenge America’s unauthorized involvement in the Yemen War under the War Powers Act has been derailed by House leadership through last minute rule changes. This time, it required tying the rule change to a vote about gray wolves.

This led to a bizarre situation where they were debating the constitutionality of the Yemen War on one side, and the desire to shoot gray wolves on the other side. This was meant to give cover to lawmakers, to say they were voting because of the wolves instead of the unpopular Saudi-led war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How could you expect anything less from "alleged" representatives, when our President is rapidly earning his "merchant of death - in chief" title?!?

You have to wonder; how stupid, or plain crazy, was this move to tie it ton issue resolving the gray wolf problem?!? Perhaps they knew this conflation would be the KOD (Kiss of Death) in the issue of the US-Enabled Saudi War against Yemen?!?

And one has to wonder; just how much did Saudi Arabia "contribute" to the campaigns of those who chose to scotch the deal?!?

In this part of the 21st century's US political cycle, politicians are simply ""assets", to be sold to the highest corporate/state-sponsored bidder; they utterly no longer represent We the People; they represent "Those the Monied"

Forgive my cynicism here, but I am almost to the point of believing that if elections really changed anything in this country, they wouldn't be allowed to happen.

FIVE SAUDIS FACE DEATH PENALTY OVER KHASHOGGI KILLING; CROWN PRINCE CLEARED

Saudi Arabia public prosecutor Sheikh Shaalan al-Shaalan said on Thursday that the kingdom will seek the death penalty for five suspects among the 11 charged in the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, confirming suspicions that members of the murder squad purportedly sent to "interrogate" Khashoggi will now themselves face beheadings as the Saudi Royal Family closes ranks around the Crown Prince, per the FT.

As for Mohammed bin Salman who runs the day to day affairs of the world’s top oil exporter and is the de facto head of OPEC, the prosecutor said had "no knowledge" of the mission, effectively absolving him of any domestic suspicion, if not international.

White House Weighs Kicking Out Cleric Gulen From US To Appease Erdogan; Lira Surges

In what is the most shocking geopolitical news of the day, NBC reports that the Trump administration is weighing extraditing the nemesis of Turkish President Recep Erdogan, cleric Fethulah Gulen who has been living for years in relative seclusion in rural Pennsylvania, from the U.S. in order to placate Turkey over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

According to the NBC report, Trump administration officials last month asked federal law enforcement agencies to examine legal ways of removing the exiled Turkish cleric in an attempt to persuade Erdogan to ease pressure on the Saudi government. The effort includes directives to the Justice Department and FBI that officials reopen Turkey's case for his extradition, as well as a request to the Homeland Security Department for information about his legal status, four sources told NBC.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am having a Jean-Luc Picard double face palm, upon reading this!!

The White House HAS to know that this guy will get tortured to say ANYTHING Erdogan wants him to stay, and "publicly confess", and that he is able to absolutely bend DC to his will on this issue.

‘GOLDMAN SACHS IS IMPLICATED IN HISTORY’S LARGEST FINANCIAL CON – BUT WILL IT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE?’

Even by Wall Street standards of gouging customers this was one hell of a skim.

In 2012 and 2013, the Malaysian government was raising $6.5bn (£5bn) from investors to establish a sovereign wealth fund and finance various domestic infrastructure investment projects. And the cut for Goldman Sachs – the most prestigious investment bank in the world – for arranging the fundraising from the global capital markets? Ten per cent, or $600m.

Now we can have a guess as to why the Malaysian authorities were so insouciant about those extortionate fundraising costs: because they themselves were, apparently, going to loot the pot in one of the biggest frauds in history.

Malaysian politicians, officials and financiers had effectively bought Goldman Sachs’ blue chip reputation to pull in naive investors to the “1MDB” state investment fund. Ten per cent probably seemed a reasonable cut in the circumstances.

The question is: what did Goldman know about the theft?

Webmaster's Commentary:

The short answer to the question asked in the title of this story, is no.

The monied rarely eat their own.

OHIO STATE STUDENT GROUP: BEN SHAPIRO'S WORDS CAN 'THREATEN' 'MENTAL SAFETY'

A student group at Ohio State University (OSU) sent a warning to its members prior to a Tuesday by conservative commentator Ben Shapiro.

The Student Advisory Council of the Morrill Scholars Program at OSU sent an email in order to create “awareness around this event in preparation for the impact that his words, beliefs, and followers may have on our community.” The email specifically targeted Young America’s Foundation (YAF) and Shapiro, who is editor-in-chief of The Daily Wire, and claims that many of his views are “misogynist,” “racist,” and “transphobic.”

A member of the Morrill Scholars Program confirmed the existence of the email to Campus Reform on Wednesday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but what kind of absolute, colossal bit of codswallop this is!!

IF, as a college student, you cannot verbally rebut, when you think that an idea or attitude is incorrect, and have the facts of your argument at your fingertips, then I am sorry for you, because your college education has been an utter, complete waste of time.

The "Real World" into which you will graduate, has no mercy on people who are incapable of dealing with an argument.

This world It is hard, fast, and will eat you up, and spit you out, if you are pathologically incapable of taking care of yourself, and not turning into a spineless plate of jello, every time you hear something that is contrary to your values. Because you will hear that... a lot.

So, Ohio State University students, life's tough; get a helmet!. And please, go see this lecture, and see if this man is really that terrifying, or ... if, perhaps, "influencers" on campus, really don't want you to go, not because they are " terrified" by his language, but that perhaps you will learn something that may well be contrary to currently held beliefs...and be the truth.

And we now have a follow-up to this story: SHOCK VIDEO: UNHINGED PROTESTERS TRY TO SHUT DOWN BEN SHAPIRO AT OHIO STATE

Antifa labels Jewish conservative a Nazi fascist.

This is an Orwellian moment, writ large; universities no longer teach, or encourage independent, critical thinking. Even though I might abhor what someone might say, I would defend their right to say it.

I thought that this was part of the core principals of the American democratic Republic.

But fast forward to this point in the 21st century, and we find that they are teaching identity politics, and demanding that students hate everyone they, and "the influencers" hate; it is just that simple.

COMPANIES KEEP LOSING YOUR DATA BECAUSE IT DOESN'T COST THEM ANYTHING

Data breaches keep happening, they keep getting worse, and yet companies keep collecting our data in ever-more-invasive ways, subjecting it to ever-longer retention, and systematically underinvesting in security.

Why does this keep happening? Because it's affordable. In 2014, Home Depot breached more than 50,000,000 credit-cards; in 2016, they paid less than $0.34/customer in restitution.

There are longer-term reputational costs associated with breaches, but these are not generally factored into the quarterly-earnings-focused mindsets of corporate execs and strategists.

An awful lot of change could be made simply by adjusting the law, and it needn't even be something as far reaching as the European General Data Protection Regulation: even establishing a set of statutory damages that people caught in breaches were entitled to collect, and banning the use of binding arbitration clauses to escape these liabilities would go a long way.

SOROS RESPONDS TO "ALARMING" FACEBOOK EXPOSÉ; DEMANDS "THOROUGH INVESTIGATION"

Following a shocking exposé in the New York Times revealing how Facebook resorted to guerilla tactics to deflect blame amid their various scandals, including hiring Republican PR firm Definers which cast liberal critics as operatives for liberal financier George Soros, top representatives for the Hungarian-American billionaire have demanded answers.

While Facebook was under fire on Capitol Hill for allowing Russians to purchase advertising during and after the 2016 US election, liberal critics blamed the company for Hillary Clinton's loss - including activist protesters who put a public face on liberal opposition to the social media giant.

Defenders sought to discredit the activists by linking them to Soros.

A research document circulated by Definers to reporters this summer, just a month after the House hearing, cast Mr. Soros as the unacknowledged force behind what appeared to be a broad anti-Facebook movement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Soros is no stranger to this type of accusation; but that being said, I do have to wonder, in light of the fact that he is the "open boarders yenta" of the West, ultimately responsible for the horrific, non-vetted immigration plaguing Europe right now, and ultimately trying to repeat that here in the US, how many of his NGOs have contributed greatly to this effort. So, here you go:

Caravan of illegals charity outed as George Soros-Funded Group

Soros Funding Border Caravan Invasion

Soros Funded Groups Backing Mexico Caravan of Socialists

George Soros Funded groups are supporting illegal immigration

George Soros' money is behind the immigrant caravan now at the US border

But hey, I have an idea; why can't all those illegals simply be dropped off en masse, at every property Soros owns, and perhaps on the Vatican as well.

And I suggest this, because I have never, once, heard in either Soros' speeches, or Pope Francis' homilies, that either man would want to invite these people to live where they live. That's just.... not their problem.

That's just for us mere serfs to work out, no matter how much the cost of housing, educating, feeding, and training these illegal immigrants would be, in order to absorb them into society.

And in light of the fact that this government is already at a 21 trillion dollar deficit, just how, please does that get paid for?!?

Pence: "All-Out Cold War" Coming If China Doesn't Change Course; "We Won't Back Down"

The Washington Post's Josh Rogin has revealed stunning comments issued by Vice President Mike Pence during a conversation between the two aboard Air Force Two as the VP traveled for an official trip to Asia this week, where he landed in Singapore for regional summits highlighting Indo-Pacific security, trade and investment.

Pence reportedly said the White House is prepared to undertake take dramatic policy changes regarding China if Beijing does not capitulate to its demands as the trade war continues. In addition to the issue of tariffs, pressing security issues include the US demanding Chinese cessation of what's reported to be widespread intellectual property theft and refusal to recognized America freedom of navigation through and above the South China Sea.

SoCal Fire May Have Ejected "Incredibly Dangerous" Radioactive Particles Into The Atmosphere

he 95,000 acre Woolsey fire which has coated Southern California with an apocalyptic orange glow may have released a toxic stew of radioactive particles and toxic chemicals into the air, after scorching the land on closed-down government weapons testing facility in Simi Hills known to be heavily contaminated from decades of experiments.

Commencing operation in 1947 for Rockwell's Rocketdyne Division, a government contractor for the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC), the Santa Susana Field Lab (SSFL) has a checkered safety record, to put it lightly. In addition to several nuclear accidents - including the worst nuclear meltdown in US history, toxic materials have accumulated on-site from years of dumping, just miles from thousands of residents.

just like Fukushima, which was initially characterized as "not a danger to civilians living close to it.

Bolton Vows to ‘Squeeze’ Iran, Escalating Sanctions

With the newly reimposed US sanctions against Iran having little to no perceivable economic impact, national security adviser John Bolton is talking up his plans to continue to escalate the sanctions track, saying he will “squeeze Iran until the pips squeak.”

Bolton shrugged off the reality that Iran is still doing business internationally, saying that he believes Iran is “under real pressure” from the sanctions, and that he’s determined to see it keep getting worse.

Bolton went on to predict that the European efforts to keep trading with Iran would ultimately fail. He said the Europeans are going through the six stages of grief, and would ultimately lead to European acceptance of the US demands.

US Discusses Suspending Afghan Presidential Election

They’ve been profoundly corrupt and often meant little, but Afghanistan’s elections have long been enough to provide the illusion of a functioning democracy. The Trump Administration is in ongoing discussions on maybe backing away from that.

The Wall Street Journal reported ongoing discussions are being held at the behest of US special envoy Zalmay Khalilzad, who has been pushing the idea of telling the Afghan government to simply indefinitely suspend the presidential election, which is supposed to happen in April.

The US interest in this plan is apparently centered on the attempts to negotiate with the Taliban on settling the ongoing war, with officials, including Khalilzad, believing that such negotiations would be too hard in the middle of a nationwide election.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Russia announces Taliban’s demands for US

Afghanistan’s Taliban will negotiate with the central government in Kabul only after the United States agrees to leave the country, according to a senior Russian diplomat.

Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s special envoy for Afghanistan, announced the Taliban’s demands on Monday after hosting an international summit on the country’s crisis that was attended by other members of a security bloc led by Russia and China. The Taliban want the United States to undertake a number of “confidence-building measures,” starting with a deadline for a full withdrawal from the country.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Perhaps this is the reason why US Under Secretary of State David Hale got so thoroughly unhinged about this meeting with the Taliban and Russia, as to characterize them in the very negative way he did; he knew both what the Taliban wanted (a timetable for US military withdrawal), and that the US government would refuse these terms, immediately and unequivocally.

House Leadership Aims to Stop Debate on US Involvement in Saudi War in Yemen

On Wednesday, a measure is being advanced at the behest of House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) aiming to derail House Continuing Resolution 138, a War Powers Act challenge which would force an end to the US military involvement in the Saudi-led War in Yemen.

Under the War Powers Act, any individual lawmaker is intended to be able to raise the matter of an unauthorized war for debate and a vote on the floor. Efforts to do so have failed, however, as the House leadership has used the Rules Committee to sidestep the issue.

This move to derail the debate is part of the first day of lame-duck House business, and Rep. Ryan and the other leaders seem to be hoping to turn the legal challenge of the war into a partisan issue. Minority Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) accused the Republican leadership of shirking Congressional responsibility.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Folks, this is all about two things; the billions the weaponry companies are making from Saudi Arabia, and about continuing and abetting their war crimes in Yemen, rather than having a national discussion of the moral costs to this country these actions have had. (warning: highly graphic images):

The Saudis are assassinating women, children, or maiming them for life with their bombing raids:

Images: dead and crippled Yemeni children, courtesy of Saudi Bombing Raids

The US enabled blockade of Yemeni ports, means that desperately needed food, and medical supplies cannot be distributed, lead to massive death by malnutrition:

And now, as the Yemeni people become weaker through malnutrition, there is a cholera epidemic here that has turned absolutely vicious.

I for one want to see this carnage stopped, immediately, and negotiations among all sides leading to a cease fire, and peace talks among all parties to resolve this horrific war.

And President Trump, I would like to strongly caution you that the optics here internationally...couldn't possibly be worse, for this country, and its participation on the genocide of Yemen, courtesy of one of your BFFs in the region, The Butcher of Yemen, AKA Crown Prince bin Salman.

Moscow baffled at US accusations of hindering Afghan settlement

On November 9 Moscow hosted a conference on Afghanistan that involved delegates from Kabul and Taliban and that was attended by an observer from the United States.

Russia is baffled at the United States’ attempts to accuse it of hindering dialogue between the Afghan authorities and the radical Taliban movement (outlawed in Russia), especially on the background of the recent consultations in Moscow that involved both parties, the Russian foreign ministry said on Tuesday.

"We took notice of the statement US Under Secretary of State David Hale made at a conference organized by the Washington Institute for Near East Policy on November 8, where he said in particular that Russia is allegedly hindering peace talks with the Taliban movement," the ministry said. "Such statement cannot but be baffling on the background of Russia’s persistent efforts in cooperation with the regional partners to facilitate the launch of the process of intra-Afghan reconciliation."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Hale should have had his bloody head examined, before coming up with this codswallop.

I think in fact, Hale may have been jealous about how well this meeting went, and without US governmental supervision.

Female prisoners in England left to give birth without midwife, report reveals

Births in cells are thought to be rare, although nobody knows exactly how many occur or even how many prisoners are pregnant because neither the Ministry of Justice nor the NHS collects the data. But the lack of direct access, even on the phone, to a midwife for a women who thinks she is in labour makes it a risk. Prison nursing staff are not often trained to know when a woman is in labour, nor to cope with emergency deliveries if they cannot get the woman to hospital in time.

“This is an area that we have become increasingly concerned about,” said Naomi Delap, director of the charity Birth Companions, which has been supporting women in prison for over 21 years. Last year they wrote to the prison service expressing concern for the safety of women and babies, asking for urgent measures to be put in place. “We had started to hear a number of stories from different places about women giving birth in prison.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is just bloody medieval, not to mention cruel and unusual punishment.

Of course, US prisons with pregnant inmates are not much better; women are made to give birth in chains, "so they won't escape."

As late as two months ago, a law was proposed in the US, insuring that no women prisoners would have to give birth in chains: New Bill Would Ensure No Woman Forced to give birth in chains

The article goes on to state:

"Fortunately, there is now a bipartisan effort in Congress to begin eliminating dangerous and degrading practices for pregnant women. The Pregnant Women in Custody Act (PWCA) places strict limits on the use of shackles and solitary confinement on pregnant women in federal prison and in the custody of the United States Marshals Service. It also sets forth basic standards for pregnancy care.

Importantly, the bill mandates that the federal government start collecting data on incarcerated women who are pregnant. Because, unbelievably, in a country that lionizes the power of big data for criminal justice, we don’t even know the number of pregnant women in our prisons and jails."

Ready to be tracked by your boss? UK companies prepare to microchip employees to boost ‘security’

Some of the the UK's largest companies are planning to implant their staff with microchips to “improve security” and restrict employees from accessing “sensitive documents,” sparking ethical concerns over such a move.
The Swedish firm, Biohax, which makes human chip implants, claims it is in talks with a number of the UK’s major businesses from the financial and legal sectors, to implant their employees with the devices, the Telegraph reports.

“These companies have sensitive documents they are dealing with. [The chips] would allow them to set restrictions for whoever,” he told The Telegraph

15 ARRESTS IN GEORGIA: DEMOCRAT STATE SENATOR ARRESTED AT CAPITOL IN VOTE-COUNT FIASCO

Atlanta Democrat state senator Nikema Williams of District 39 was arrested Tuesday, the day before another expected court ruling on absentee ballots.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Tuesday: “State Sen. Nikema Williams, D-Atlanta, said she was standing with her constituents when officers led her out of the Capitol rotunda and placed plastic restraints on her wrists.“I was not yelling. Russia jammed GPS during major NATO military exercise with US troops

The Russian military jammed GPS signals during a major NATO military exercise in Norway that involved thousands of US and NATO troops, the alliance said Wednesday, citing the Norwegian government.

The NATO exercise, Trident Juncture, concluded Sunday and involved some 50,000 personnel. It was labeled the alliance's largest exercise since the Cold War. Non-NATO members Finland and Sweden also participated in the exercise.
A spokesperson for the Norwegian ministry of defense acknowledged the jamming to CNN, which it said took place between October 16 and November 7, and said it would defer to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on further questions to Russian authorities.

"Norway has determined that Russia was responsible for jamming GPS signals in the Kola Peninsula during Exercise Trident Juncture. Finland has expressed concern over possible jamming in Lapland," NATO spokesperson Oana Lungescu told CNN Wednesday.

LAND SEIZURES IN SOUTH AFRICA WON’T VIOLATE CONSTITUTION... ONCE IT’S CHANGED – RAMAPHOSA

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa told the European Parliament on Wednesday that his country’s land reform will faithfully adhere to the country’s constitution with respect to the rights of all its citizens.
The Ramaphosa-led African National Congress (ANC) aims to change the constitution to allow the government to expropriate land from white landowners without compensation. The land is to be distributed to the country’s landless black majority. Ramaphosa says the change in law is necessary in order to address racial disparities in ownership persisting more than two decades after the end of apartheid.

“This problem of land will be resolved through adherence to the rule of law and adherence to the constitution,” Ramaphosa told the European Parliament.

The widely debated land reform was proposed by the ANC last December. The draft was aimed at changing Section 25 of the South African Constitution that regards property rights.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Appropriation of land without compensation is a form of theft, period, end of discussion. And since Ramaphosa supports theft, he supports land grabs.

And President Ramaphosa, I can promise you that the first resistant seller's families, filmed on an iphone, to document their getting killed defending their land, will make top news for blogs around the world.

And I must ask you; is this the image of South Africa you really want the world to see?!? Because sir, I can assure you that somewhere down the road, such an event is going to happen, in the annexing of private property without compensation.

It will cause a real chill in foreign investment in your country.

This will NOT support "nation building"; it will support the following; a flight for their lives from the current land owners; people now owning the land, but not having not a clue as to how to make their crops successful, leading to massive crop failures, meaning more and more food will have to be imported; and a ton of bank loans to get equipment for those farms left delinquent, hitting South Africa's banks for millions of dollars of losses.

One has to wonder just how soon all this may cause a major devaluation of the South African Rand; this convergence of these events may trigger "the perfect economic tsunami" for the country.

The British Army is carrying out a massive test of military robots and drones

The British Army is testing out over 70 new technologies, including unmanned vehicles and surveillance drones, in a four-week experiment on one of its biggest training grounds.

What sort of stuff? The department isn’t giving out specifics but said the focus will be on “surveillance, long-range, and precision targeting, enhanced mobility and the re-supply of forces, urban warfare and enhanced situational awareness.” The development is part of a £800 million “innovation fund” launched in 2016.

The aim? Primarily it’s about reducing the danger to troops during combat, according to the UK’s Ministry of Defense (MoD). One of the main areas it’ll test is “last mile” supply of fuel, food, and ammunition. The exercise will culminate in a simulated battle involving over 200 soldiers to test out the ideas and products.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would fully suspect that The gap between the rhetoric, and the actual reality of what these agencies want to achieve with these machines, is probably far larger than the British public is being told, at least for the moment.

When given the kind of money to make this technology work, expect that those in control of developing it, may decide to actually create a monster, incapable of being made to stop what it is doing, which will have the capability to tear humans to shreds.

Aung San Suu Kyi: Amnesty strips Myanmar leader of top prize

Amnesty International is stripping Myanmar's de facto leader Aung San Suu Kyi of its highest honour, the Ambassador of Conscience Award.

The politician and Nobel peace prize winner received the honour in 2009, when she was living under house arrest.

The rights group said it was profoundly dismayed at her failure to speak out for the Rohingya minority, some 700,000 of whom have fled a military crackdown.

This is the latest honour in a string of awards Ms Suu Kyi, 73, has lost.

Georgia: Desperate Dems File Last-Minute Lawsuit to Delay Vote Certification

The Democratic Party of Georgia and the Stacey Abrams campaign have filed a desperate last-minute lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Atlanta division.

The lawsuit actually argues that provisional ballots should be accepted from people who don’t live in that county.

The Democrats are suing the Georgia Secretary of State and election officials in two counties: Gwinnett County and DeKalb County, trying to stop the certification of the votes by one day, which would give the Democrats Tuesday to continue to agitate.

Will House Democrats End U.S. Involvement In Yemen War?

Given the anger in Washington over the Jamal Khashoggi murder case, there is a real possibility that the Democrat-controlled House will be able to garner the votes to achieve what scores of lawmakers unsuccessfully sought to accomplish in March. The stakes are high regarding weapons sales to Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Any effort to cancel, delay, or freeze arms deals could undermine the White House’s “special relationships” with Crown Princes Mohammed bin Salman and Mohammed bin Zayed, the de facto rulers in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi who are at the helm of Saudi and Emirati foreign policy. At risk are pending Saudi and UAE purchases of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-missile defense system, the F-35 fifth generation fighter jets, and precision guided munitions.

At Least 80 Killed as Saudi-Backed Forces Reach Hodeidah Residential Areas

Saudi-backed invasion forces are pushing deeper into the vital Yemeni aid port of Hodeidah, with heavy fighting on Saturday killing at least 80 across the city. Hodeidah’s main hospital has fallen and now the fighting has reached the residential area surrounding it.

Medics reported that among the 80 killed, 61 were Houthi fighters and the other 19 were pro-Saudi soldiers. There were also reports of civilian casualties from several airstrikes in the area, though exact numbers are unclear.

This is the latest of several major military offensives against the port. The most recent push was said to include thousands of additional fighters, including Yemeni factions and the Sudanese military.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The goal of the Saudi military, enabled by the US military, is to starve the residents of Hodeidah into submission.

Just in case the Saudi Government, or US government or military never got the memo, THIS IS A WAR CRIME!!

Pentagon launched new classified operation to support Saudi coalition in Yemen

Even as the humanitarian crisis precipitated by Saudi Arabia’s more-than-three-year war in Yemen has deepened, the Pentagon earlier this year launched a new classified operation to support the kingdom’s military operations there, according to a Defense Department document that appears to have been posted online inadvertently.

The existence of the new classified operation, code-named Yukon Journey, was partially revealed in a Defense Department inspector general report posted online earlier this month, which noted that “the Secretary of Defense designated three new named contingency operations: Operation Yukon Journey, and operations in Northwest Africa and East Africa.”

The three operations, which focus on al-Qaida and ISIS, are classified, the report notes, and the Pentagon has not publicly disclosed their location beyond saying they are in the Middle East and Africa.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: the Pentagon will continue assassinating all Yemenis still breathing possible, until Yemen is securely occupied by the Saudi military, no matter how many innocents are murdered in the process.

In providing this "cover" for the Butcher of Yemen, (His Royal Highness, the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman), the US government has telegraphed its enthusiasm for continuing to aid and abet Saudi war crimes in Yemen.

My brother and sister Americans are now citizens of a country which commits war crimes.

When I was a kid, thoughts like this never entered my head; my country was always the moral, reasonable, democratic holder of the higher ground; it is disgusting to know that this was rarely the case with this country, particularly in the 21st century.

I have to weep for what I see as the final trajectory for US foreign policy.

France, Germany Could Host Iranian Payment Vehicle to Side-Step US Sanctions

Despite the rumors that no one is willing to host the trade mechanism over fears of US sanctions, France or Germany have been named as the most viable options.

Either France or Germany might become the host nation for the European clearing house, usually referred to as a "special purpose vehicle" (SPV) — a payment mechanism that would allow European companies to bypass US-imposed sanctions on Iran.

The establishment of this mechanism is widely viewed as the moment of truth on whether the EU is genuinely ready to live up to its promise to keep the so-called Iranian nuclear deal. And, as US sanctions kicked in on November 5, Tehran is becoming more restless regarding the establishment of the SPV, the Guardian notes.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Sajjadpour has already expressed his frustration at the pace with which the SPV is being set up, saying: "What is lacking is both speed and efficiency."

Webmaster's Commentary:

So what happens when all of these countries adopt a payment mechanism which completely bypass US sanctions on Iran?!?

Is President Trump prepared to go to war with all of them, for ignoring US sanctions, and buying Iranian crude?!?

GPS signals jammed: Norway, Finland warn pilots Russia may blind their navigation systems

In recent weeks, NATO conducted its largest military exercises in decades in the frigid waters and icy mountains of Norway. But something odd happened. The GPS signals guiding ships, aircraft, tanks, trucks and troops started to fail.

Civilian airliners, cars, trucks, cargo ships and smart phones operating in and around Norway and Finland experienced similar disruptions.

Why?

Russia is the chief suspect.

It was riled by the scale and location of NATO’s Trident Juncture manoeuvres — despite having itself conducted several massive military exercises in the Baltics recently.

Trump gives highest U.S. civilian honour, the Medal of Freedom, to top GOP donor

U.S. President Donald Trump awarded the Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honour in the U.S., to seven individuals Saturday, both living and dead — one of whom has been the biggest donor to the Republican Party.

Miriam Adelson was awarded the Medal of Freedom. She is married to Sheldon Adelson, a billionaire Las Vegas casino magnate and another GOP megadonor.

The Adelsons recently contributed $113 million to GOP causes during the 2018 election cycle. Among those donations, the couple gave $25 million in July to the Senate Leadership Fund, $2 million in September to ESA Fund, $3 million in July and September to the Republican Governors Association and roughly $40 million between May and September to the Congressional Leadership Fund, according to Politico.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This award, and the Adelsons' donations, bring some things about this administration, perfectly into focus.

The Adelson money has "bought" US foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East, where everything Israel wants, it gets granted; the Palestinians continue to get slaughtered; and Iran is in the crosshairs of the US for a shooting war and regime change.

KHASHOGGI’S LAST WORDS REVEALED AS TURKISH MEDIA PLANS TO PUBLISH AUDIO DEATH TAPE

A day after President Tayyip Erdogan dropped the latest bombshell related to the Saudi murder of Jamal Khashoggi, saying Turkey had handed over an audio recording of the journalist's brutal slaying inside the Istanbul consulate to the U.S., Saudi Arabia, Germany, France and Britain, the contents of Khashoggi's last words have emerged.

Editor for the the Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah, Nazif Karaman, shared some details from the audio tape with Al Jazeera. Karaman said Khashoggi's last words were:

“I’m suffocating… Take this bag off my head, I’m claustrophobic” – according what he confirmed is the authentic audio recording from inside the Istanbul consulate.

Meanwhile at the conclusion of the centennial anniversary of WWI ceremony in Paris President Erdogan's office confirmed he and President Trump discussed the Jamal Khashoggi killing on the sidelines of the weekend events.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If this happens, I think it would be a very good thing, particularly for those Americans who still naively believe that this country's government and military "only partner with governments who act in honor of humanity, responsibility, would never commit war crimes, and would never torture and kill."

IF this happens, it is about to usher in a floodgate of information about how the US is assisting Saudi Arabia in their war crimes in Yemen.

And thinking Americans will have to ask; "why am I a citizen of a country which aids and abets Saudi war crimes in Yemen"?!?

I have to wonder just what President Trump promised Erdogan, to prevent this from possibly happening; I also hope Erdogan didn't "take the bait" about releasing this audio.

ISRAEL KILLS 7 DURING GAZA RAID, ISRAELI OFFICER KILLED

Israeli forces killed seven Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Sunday in air strikes and an undercover raid that Hamas said targeted one of its commanders and the Israeli military said left one of its officers dead, Reuters reports.

The Israeli incursion and air attacks drew rocket fire from the Hamas-controlled enclave, with sirens sounding in Israeli communities along the border. The military said its defences intercepted two of the launches. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage on the Israeli side of the frontier.

The violence prompted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cut short a visit to Paris, where he had been gathering with world leaders for a World War One commemoration.

Hamas said the incident began when assailants in a passing car opened fire on a group of its armed men, killing one of its commanders. Hamas gunmen gave chase as the car sped back towards the border with Israel, Hamas said in a statement.

Targeted assassinations has become rather a "specialty" for the IDF and Mossad.

FACEBOOK FIRED OCULUS FOUNDER FOR HIS POLITICAL BELIEFS AND PRO-TRUMP DONATIONS

Every so often, Silicon Valley's virtue-signaling, shadowbanning, anti-conservative media titans appear in Congress or devise a quick PR campaign to show to the world just how truly impartial they are with zero liberal bias. And every single time it backfires as their true ideological face quickly emerges from behind a fake, hypocritical mask.

Take the case of former Facebook executive, Oculus co-founder and virtual-reality wunderkind Palmer Luckey, who was a rising star of Silicon Valley when, at the height of the 2016 presidential contest, he donated a modest $10,000 to an anti-Hillary Clinton group. His donation sparked a backlash from his colleagues, which then led to him being put on leave, and six months later he was fired.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mike and I have experienced this kind of career assassination first-hand.

When one asks a logical question, or have a fact-centric piece of information, the Dementoocrats will do everything in their power to try to prevent you from ever working again.
The Assassination of Vince Foster

Right after Mike asked some very embarrassing questions about a screen capture he took from home, (an image of Vince Foster, allegedly taken right after his "suicide"), and discussed it with his colleagues at a computer animation company for which he was working). There was an open air restaurant where this happened, and there were some folks working for CNN, a tenant in the building, were "leaning in".

The next thing Mike knew, he was fired for utterly no reason; all the computer animation companies in Southern California were told never to hire him, and that his "demo reel" was only work stolen from other CGI artists.

Of course, this was all brilliantly done in a way which could never point back the "Gruesome Twosome" who made it happen. But it became the "new normal" for the Dementoocrats.

Fortunately for Mike - and us - they ultimately failed in this endeavor; but that is not to say that we didn't experience a rocky times while their campaign was initially in full bloom. Unfortunately, we didn't have the money to hire the kind of "dream team" lawyers Mr. Lucky had.

Florida Elections Worker: I Was Fired For Witnessing Possible Absentee Ballot Fraud

A temporary worker for the Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office in Florida has alleged in a sworn affidavit obtained by Newsmax that she was fired this week after witnessing possible absentee ballot fraud by office workers.

But the State Attorney's Office concluded Friday that the workers were duplicating ballots by hand from damaged originals faxed by military personnel and that "there is nothing improper or illegal about the conduct" under state law.

"We were understandably alarmed about what she witnessed," Bob Nichols, a Fort Lauderdale attorney, told Newsmax in an interview.

Nichols is general counsel for the Broward Republican Executive Committee, which learned of the allegations on Thursday. He interviewed the former employee and reported the matter that day to the state attorney.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Trump Warns: Dems Are Sending "Their Best Election-Stealing Lawyer" To Florida

Is Florida gearing up for Bush vs. Gore redux?

It's starting to look that way.

As Fox News reports, lawyers are arriving in Democratic strongholds in Florida as the state prepares for a recount in Broward County, the epicenter of the vote-counting controversy that led to Bush vs. Gore, and Palm Beach County. Both are Democratic strongholds that have been extremely slow to deliver final ballot totals for Tuesday's election.

To try and push for a hand recount, defeated incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson has hired Democratic attorney Marc Elias of law firm Perkins Coie to help plead his case and point out suspicious "inconsistencies" with the vote count in Broward, where more than 20,000 voters voted in down-ballot races but left out their votes for governor's race, in which Nelson's Democratic ally, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, has already conceded to Republican Ron DeSantis.

Burying The Other Russia Story: WSJ Editors Expose The House Democrats' Real Plan

Arguably the most important power at stake in Tuesday’s election was Congressional oversight, and the most important change may be Adam Schiff at the House Intelligence Committee. The Democrat says his top priority is re-opening the Trump-Russia collusion probe, but more important may be his intention to stop investigating how the FBI and Justice Department abused their power in 2016. So let’s walk through what we’ve learned to date.

Credit for knowing anything at all goes to Intel Chairman Devin Nunes and more recently a joint investigation by Reps. Bob Goodlatte (Judiciary) and Trey Gowdy (Oversight). Over 18 months of reviewing tens of thousands of documents and interviewing every relevant witness, no Senate or House Committee has unearthed evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to win the presidential election. If Special Counsel Robert Mueller has found more, he hasn’t made it public.

THE STATE WEAPONIZES EDUCATION TO CREATE IGNORANCE

A hundred fifty years ago, at least some Americans recognized that all serious discourse depended on the use of the faculty called Reason.

Formal debate, science, and law all flowed from that source.

A common bond existed in some schools of the day. The student was expected to learn how Reason operates, and for that he was taught the only subject which could lay out, as on a long table, the visible principles: Logic.

This was accepted.

But now, this bond is gone.

The independence engendered by the disciplined study of logic is no longer a desired quality in students.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You can even see it in the architecture of a lot of recently refurbished or newly built schools; they look as though they could be prisons for low-level criminals, instead of beautiful places which encourage thought or reflection.

Sgt Helus was the first on-duty police officer on the scene, but there were six off-duty cops from multiple agencies at the bar when the shooting started. None of the law enforcement officers who were at the bar were armed at the time of the shooting.

US calls for end to South China Sea militarization, China says to stop sending warships

he US pressed China to halt militarization of the South China Sea during a joint news conference on talks aimed at smoothing already tense relations ahead of this month's G20 summit in Argentina.

“We have continued concerns about China's activities and militarization in the South China Sea,” US Secretary for State Mike Pompeo told media following talks on Friday with US Defence Secretary James Mattis and their Chinese counterparts.

We pressed China to live up to its past commitments in this area,” he added.

In response, Chinese Politburo member Yang Jiechi said the situation in the South China Sea was “treading towards greater stability,” but rebuked Washington over its sending of warships and military aircraft near Chinese islands and reefs, in what he described as actions that undermined Chinese interests.

Webmaster's Commentary:

War with China?!?

Just because it would be the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing for the US to do, is no guarantee that it will not do it.

And right now, if you have read any of my blogs this morning, about how the US is falling further behind in its weaponry, vis a vis the Chinese and Russians, you will understand that this country should be making every effort to avoid a military confrontation with either, or both, countries.

Muslims Shouting About Killing Jews Interrupt London Event

As about 20 Muslims interrupted a vigil, some brought up an event from early Islamic history, when Muhammed’s followers killed, injured, and displaced crowds of Jews from the town of Khaybar.

A vigil organized by pro-Israel activists in London’s Hyde Park, famous for being a free speech area, appeared to be severely interrupted and then dispersed altogether by men shouting anti-Jewish chants in Arabic, according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

A few dozen people waving Israeli flags with candles in their hands gathered there ahead of the so-called Kristallnacht remembrance day, commemorating victims of the Nazi pogrom of 1938, as well as Jews killed and wounded across the Arab world.

Joseph Cohen, an Israel advocacy Movement campaigner, was filming the event when 20 men chimed in shouting:

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am very grateful to be living in a "rainbow state", where people do not judge others by their faith, but what they do with their lives.

And to the guys who thought disrupting this event was a "great idea", actually, no, it sure as heck was not.

Blaming, accusing, and disrupting an event is easy; working with each other, in a dignified and respectful way that leads to moral, responsible conflict resolution, is the hardest thing in the world to do.

And yet, that is what we must commit ourselves to doing at this part of the 21st century, if we want there to be a future for humankind.

Hezbollah Leader Vows to Respond to Any Israeli Attack on Lebanon - Reports

Historically tense relations between Israel and the Lebanon-based group hit a new low this autumn after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Hezbollah of building a missile factory and hiding it in the civilian infrastructure of Beirut's international airport.

During a televised speech on Saturday, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said that the movement would retaliate against any Israeli attack on Lebanon.

"Any attack will definitely and certainly be responded to," he said.

Speaking at the UN General Assembly in September, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu provided satellite images of what he claimed were Hezbollah precision-guided missile installations at Beirut's international airport. He also accused the group of using Beirut's residents as human shields and emphasized that Israel would 'not let [Hezbollah] get away with' their behaviour.

Webmaster's Commentary:

At least, Netanyahu wasn't showing off "An Iranian cartoon bomb" this year; but things are getting immensely tense in the region, and one stupid mistake, one simple misunderstanding, could lead to a military showdown between Israel, Lebanon, and Iran.

And on such a potential for horrific violence, I would politely like to ask President Trump to pick his battles in such a conflict very, very carefully.

Trump Threatens To Cut Wildfire Funding Unless Cali Ends "Gross Mismanagement Of Forests"

As the wildfires ravaging Northern and Southern California destroy billions of dollars worth of real estate, President Trump reminded the world in a Saturday morning tweet that global warming - which many (on the left in particular) have blamed for the fires - isn't the responsible for the fires. Rather, California's inept forest-management strategies have left the state vulnerable as drought-like conditions have transformed the state's densely packed forests into a bed of kindling, just waiting to be set off by a stray cigarette butt.

In a tweet that seems almost tailor-made to trigger the left, President Trump threatened to revoke the "billions that are given each year" to the state if California doesn't address the "gross mismanagement" of its forests and take more steps to mitigate the fires.

Clueless Journalist Gets Dragged For Saying ‘America Isn’t At War’ In Election Day Tweet

Klein, the founder and editor-at-large for Vox.com, made the claim in a tweet about the mid term election on Tuesday, opining on why the Democrats took the House of Representatives. Comparing 2018 to 2008 — when Democrats took power amid a war in Iraq and Afghanistan — Klein argued that the Tuesday election was a “pure repudiation” of Trump, since unemployment was so low and America was no longer at war.

The only problem, of course, is that America is still at war in the same places it was in 2008, in Iraq and Afghanistan — albeit with a smaller footprint. And U.S. troops are still fighting and dying there: On the same day as Klein’s tweet, the remains of Army Maj. Brent Taylor touched down at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware; he was killed Saturday in Afghanistan, leaving behind a wife and seven children.

Webmaster's Commentary:

From his abysmally tone-deaf evaluation that "the US is not at war", This man must be a Common Core graduate, because he demonstrates absolutely zero ability to do any critical thinking about what he doesn't see in the corporate media, and because of it, is a very "useful idiot" for the American Deep State.

Mohammed Bin Salman: Too Big To Fail

A month after the murder of Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul, an international consensus is emerging about how to respond: deplore the crime, demand justice, but don’t cut ties with the kingdom. In particular, don’t cut off Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the man widely believed to have ordered the killing of the dissident journalist.

The ambitious, impetuous crown prince, known as MbS, is probably damaged goods as a person. He’s unlikely to receive another lavish welcome in Silicon Valley any time soon. But he has become the diplomatic equivalent of some big banks: too big to fail.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looking at the lack of consequences after the assassination happened, (not to mention the thousands of dead and dying, courtesy of Saudi Arabia's invasion of Yemen), I think Lippman is entirely correct in his assessment.

Yemen Peace Talks Delayed as Saudi Backed Assault Continues

The US demand for an immediate ceasefire in Yemen never happened, with US-backed factions continuing to attack the port city of Hodeidah. US promises of Yemen peace talks in November are also now being postponed.

Officials are presenting the talks, despite initially being presented as happening some time this month, as being set for early December. Now, they say if the talks happen at all, it will be in late December.

Some diplomats are suggesting the postponement is because of concerns that the Houthis won’t show up. The Houthis did not attend the previous talks, because they could not get assurances from the Saudis that their delegation would be allowed to safely travel, and the US seems no more willing to offer such assurances.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With a huge offensive being planned for Hodeida Saudi baked forces announce a vast offensive to to take Hodeidah Port, The Saudis will not be happy with any peace from the Houthis, other than pure capitulation.

JUDICIAL WATCH SUES DOJ FOR RECORDS OF INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE AWAN BROTHERS, CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRAT IT SCANDAL

Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Justice Department for all records of communications relating to the investigation into former Democratic information technology (IT) staffers Abid Awan, Imran Awan, Jamal Awan and Hina R. Alvi (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-02563)).

Imran Awan and his family were banned from the House computer network in February 2017 after the House’s top law enforcement officer wrote that Imran is “an ongoing and serious risk to the House of Representatives, possibly threatening the integrity of our information systems,” and that a server containing evidence had gone “missing.” The inspector general said server logs showed “unauthorized access” and procurement records were falsified.

Webmaster's Commentary:

DEMOCRATIC HOUSE HURTS SPACE CORPS, NUKE MODERNIZATION, & PENTAGON TOPLINE

WASHINGTON: The Democrats’ recapturing the House means three major impacts on the Defense Department: The odds are that controversial Trump priorities like new nuclear weapons and a Space Force will go nowhere, defense budgets will go down, and oversight will go up, up, up.

Program winners and losers

The most likely losers are nuclear modernization programs, which leading Democrats like Adam Smith, the prospective House Armed Services Committee chairman, have criticized as unnecessary, excessive, and destabilizing.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would POLITELY invite every Democrat who doesn't get how seriously behind the curve the US in its weaponry, to read the following article from blacklistednews.com:

Russia deploys its Avangard Glide Vehicle, the unmatched leader in hypersonic flight

And as I type this on Oahu,. at 6:30 AM in the morning, THE US MILITARY HAS UTTERLY NO DEFENSE AGAINST THIS WEAPON.

D.C. BUREAUCRATS ARE TRYING TO MAKE PARENTS GET A LICENSE TO LET CHILDREN PLAY TOGETHER

Let’s say you and some of your friends decide to gather your young children together a couple of days a week for a few hours of free play. Maybe you switch off who leads the gaggle of kids each week, allowing for some shared free time and flexibility. Sounds like a great arrangement for all, right? Your kids get to play freely with their friends, and you get some occasional free babysitting.

According to government officials in Washington, DC, arrangements like this are violations of the law. They are cracking down on what they call an illegal “child development facility” operating without a license.

MONTANA JUDGE PUTS BRAKES ON KEYSTONE XL

A Montana district court judge has ordered the suspension of construction work on the Keystone XL pipeline on the grounds that violations were made in the government’s environmental review.

In a press release, the Center for Biological Diversity, one of the staunchest opponents of the project, noted that TransCanada had not yet made the final investment decision on Keystone XL and the latest court ruling might shake its belief that it is still a commercially viable project.

U.S. GAVE MILITARY JEEPS TO GUATEMALA TO FIGHT DRUG TRAFFICKING. INSTEAD, THEY WERE USED TO INTIMIDATE AN ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION.

THE ARMORED JEEPS were lined up single file along a Guatemala City street on August 31 in an ominous queue. By mid-morning, images began circulating of the jeeps outside the offices of a U.N.-backed anti-corruption commission that has played a key role in bringing down corrupt officials. More jeeps were spotted in the vicinity of the National Palace, along with military personnel. In a country with a not-so-distant past of military coups and massacres, the photographs and videos spread like wildfire, raising alarm as people scrambled to find out what was going on.

To Feliciana Macario, the show of force evoked the worst years of military rule in Guatemala, during the 36-year armed conflict between the U.S.-backed military and paramilitary forces and left-wing guerrilla groups. Macario is one of the national coordinators of CONAVIGUA, a national human rights organization founded by women whose husbands were killed or disappeared during the conflict.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Just wonderful ... to see our government at work in Guatemala!!!!

How the CDC Uses Fear to Increase Demand for Flu Vaccines

The CDC claims that its recommendation that everyone aged six months and up should get an annual flu shot is firmly grounded in science. The mainstream media reinforce this characterization by misinforming the public about what the science says.

A New York Times article from earlier this year, for example, in order to persuade readers to follow the CDC’s recommendation, cited scientific literature reviews of the prestigious Cochrane Collaboration to support its characterization of the influenza vaccine as both effective and safe. The Times claimed that the science showed that the vaccine represented “a big payoff in public health” and that harms from the vaccine were “almost nonexistent”.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What people do not understand about the CDC, is that it is a private corporation, with multiple patents on products, and not an arm of the US government.

UN FOOD STORAGE FACILITY TARGETED AS SAUDI TROOPS ADVANCE ON HODEIDA

At least 15 civilians were killed on Thursday after Saudi-led coalition aircraft and artillery carried out strikes against a residential area in Yemen’s strategic western province of Hodeida and the border areas of Sadaa.

A local source told MintPress News that Saudi jets conducted airstrikes against the al-Jabaliyah area in the al-Tuheita district in southern Hodeida on Thursday afternoon, killing 45-year-old Hassan al Ameri and his four daughters Sumiah, Hunood, Laila and Hend, who ranged in age from eight months to nine years old. Al Ameri’s twelve-year-old son, Ali, was also killed in the attack.

On Friday, three women were killed when Saudi border guards targeted their village in the Razeh district with artillery fire. The village has been under intensive artillery and missile attack since the Saudi-led coalition, supported by the United States, renewed its large-scale offensive weeks ago.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am frankly waiting for the Butcher of Yemen (AKA, Saudi Crown Prince Bin Salman) to order a carpet bombing of all civilians left at Hodeida, but leaving the port infrastructure intact.

WHY THE U.S. MILITARY IS WOEFULLY UNPREPARED FOR A MAJOR CONVENTIONAL CONFLICT

While Secretary Mattis describes the “near peer” nations China and Russia as “revisionist powers”, it was not these nations that made the irresponsible and reckless decisions that have weakened the U.S. military establishment, nor aim to revise the ill-conceived and executed catastrophes of their American “peers”.

They have reached a state of military and technological parity with, and in many cases a position of superiority vis a vis the United States, because they exercised better judgement over the past two decades, invested their time, talent and treasure in developing powerful conventional and nuclear forces, and refrained from using their national defense assets to punish their perceived adversaries in such a way that more damage was caused to themselves.

APPLE'S WAR ON REPAIR CONTINUES: AMAZON NOW BANS REFURB APPLE PRODUCTS FROM THIRD PARTIES

Apple has long understood that hardware products that last a long time result in falling unit sales, as customers opt to keep their old machines instead of buying the latest models; that's part of why the company led the charge that killed every single Right to Repair bill introduced last year -- less repairs leads to more "recycling," which is Applespeak for dropping used units into giant shredders without harvesting any usable parts first.

Every year, refurbishers rescue thousands of used Apple products from the e-waste streams, and every year, Apple finds new ways to frustrate their efforts.

The latest wrinkle: Apple has gotten Amazon to agree to ban the sale of refurbished Apple products except those that come from Apple directly.

Aaron Perzanowski, a law professor at Case Western Reserve University and coauthor of The End of Ownership, told me in an email that this decision is a dangerous infringement of ownership rights.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Just what America needed in this rapidly tightening economy; a gigantic, dystopian corporation, ready to cause Americans as much fiscal pain as possible by refusing the right of owners to refurbish.

REWARD OFFERED IN THE MYSTERIOUS KILLING OF FORMER WORLD BANK ECONOMIST

The police and family of Johan de Leede have announced a new reward for information concerning the mysterious killing of 83-year old de Leede, a retired World Bank economist, in his Fairfax County home around 1 a.m. on March 11, 2016.

Someone shot and killed him from outside a living room window and vanished into the night.

The case is all the more baffling because de Leede was living a quiet life, tending to his garden and sailing at his home on an idyllic stretch of the Potomac River on the Mason Neck Peninsula near Lorton, Va. He was surrounded by a large family.

And so it was on March 11, 2016. Johan de Leede had enjoyed a meal with his wife and house guests that Friday night. Family members said everyone except him had gone to bed around 11:30 p.m. He had settled into a chair in his living room with a banana and a warm glass of milk, his nightly ritual. Around 1 a.m., his wife awoke to the sound of gunfire...

Webmaster's Commentary:

Whatever he had gained information on, was apparently explosive enough to get him assassinated in his own home.

One has to wonder; what was going south in the world of the World Bank, right around this time?!?

Could it have been the intimate knowledge of what was happening here, and why?!?

Is Jim Young Kim destroying the World Bank?!?
We can only speculate; but someone did NOT want Johan de Leede to share, in any way, what privileged information he may have had.

US Hopes Russia Will Allow Israel to Bomb Iranian Forces in Syria

The US is seeking to push all foreign military forces from Syria, the US ambassador to the country said. Besides Russian ones, of course.

US Ambassador to Syria James Jeffrey said Wednesday that Washington hopes Russia will allow Israeli forces to bomb Iranian military forces in Syrian territory after the delivery of S-300 air defense systems.

"Russia has been permissive, in consultation with the Israelis, about Israeli strikes against Iranian targets inside Syria. We certainly hope that that permissive approach will continue," Jeffrey said during a press conference, according to Business Insider.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I don't know the Russian translation of "no way!" is, but I am hoping that is what the Russians will tell the Israelis.

Should such a thing happen, if an Israeli plane is able to "take out" one of the S-300 systems, you will most likely find the Russian forces in hot, military pursuit.

And of course, the US would have to defend Israel, militarily, in Syria, so the danger may be both real and critically and far beyond any way of "defusing" of the situation.

Israel Seeks Closer Cooperation with Gulf States over Fears of Iran – Report

The visit of Israeli Transportation and Intelligence Minister Yisrael Katz to Oman earlier this week has signaled a change of policy in the region, observers say.

Earlier this week, Katz arrived in Oman — reportedly to propose a new railway project that would connect Israel's Haifa to the Persian Gulf through Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

During his visit, he also called for stronger relations with the Persian Gulf Arab states in civilian sectors such as transportation, commercial aviation and tourism, PressTV reports.

The trip was one more in a chain of visits by Israeli officials to Gulf States — the most important of which was the surprise visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Oman several weeks earlier.

Israeli Official Visits Oman to Propose International Railway Project

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel is not afraid of Iran, but wants to have the Gulf States lined up behind them, if they are able to create a situation leading to a shooting war against Iran.

Saudi-Led Coalition in Yemen Asks US to Stop Refueling Its Aircraft - Reports

The Trump administration is ending the practice of air refueling Saudi-coalition aircraft and its decision is expected to be made public in the next few days, US media reported.

The decision would end a tangible and controversial aspect of US support for the Saudi coalition’s war in Yemen, the Washington Post newspaper said on Friday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This will not stop Saudi slaughter in Yemen, but it is, at least in a minor way, an expression of "discontent' with Saudi Arabia's genocide in Yemen.

Iran's Leadership Must Decide "If They Want Their People To Eat" - Pompeo

Less than a week after US Secretary of State Secretary Mike Pompeo told Fox News Sunday that the "Iranians are responsible for the starvation' of Yemeni civilians" he's again issued hugely provocative words, telling the BBC during an interview that Iranian "leadership has to make a decision that they want their people to eat" in reference to the latest round of US sanctions.

As the interview was with BBC Persian, Pompeo's words were immediately translated from English and broadcast to the Iranian public through BBC's Persian-language publication. Pompeo repeated his theme that Iran is the world's foremost state sponsor of terror and a "destabilizing influence" in the Middle East while ultimately blaming the country's economic suffering on the intransigence of the country's leaders.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That this guy can stand there and lie, while people in Yemen continue to die, due to US/Saudi war crimes, including bombing sorties; the creation of starvation through blockading Yemen's ports, and destroying the water infrastructure, allowing thousands of Yemeni to die of cholera, must be an amazing gift in the wacky world of DC.

Sorry, Mike, but as long as you are going to continue to lie about the situation on the ground, I will stay compelled, as a Christian pacifist activist, to document what the US/Saudi war against Yemen is actually doing. (warning: very graphic images):

Images: Yemeni children dead and maimed for life, courtesy of US-enabled bombing runs

Images: Yemeni children dying from malnutrition, courtesy of US Military-enabled Saudi Yemen port blockade

Images: Yemeni children treated for, and dying of cholera, possibly weaponized

Notice that none of the presstitutes and warmongers on corporate media are not saying a word about the Saudi genocide in Yemen, which is why I must.

Trump Reportedly Wants To Replace Ross By Year End

Update: Adding to speculation that Ross's time in Trump's cabinet is coming to a close, Bloomberg has reported that Trump has been telling friends that he wants to replace Ross by year's end.

Just two days after President Trump ousted Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Politico is reporting that Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross might be the next cabinet official to leave the administration as part of Trump's widely expected cabinet reshuffle.

Trump has reportedly grown frustrated with Ross over reports of his unsavory and ruthless business practices as well as his perceived ineptitude in negotiating trade deals. The president has repeatedly humiliated Ross in front of other administration officials, and accused him of being "past his prime," according to Bob Woodward's book "Fear."

Buchanan: The War For The Soul Of America

The war in Washington will not end until the presidency of Donald Trump ends. Everyone seems to sense that now.

This is a fight to the finish.

A postelection truce that began with Trump congratulating House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi — “I give her a great deal of credit for what she’s done and what she’s accomplished” — was ancient history by nightfall.

With the forced resignation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his replacement by his chief of staff, Matthew Whitaker, the long-anticipated confrontation with Robert Mueller appears at hand.

Sessions had recused himself from the oversight role of the special counsel’s investigation into Russiagate. Whitaker has definitely not.

Before joining Justice, he said that the Mueller probe was overreaching, going places it had no authority to go, and that it could be leashed by a new attorney general and starved of funds until it passes away.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Amen to that, Pat Buchanan, Amen!!

Hedge Funds Brace For A November 15 Bloodbath

A few weeks ago, we reported that even when the market was hitting all time highs ahead of the historic October bloodbath, hedge fund investors were growing increasingly nervous, and rushed to redeem $15 billion from the space in September, the largest single monthly outflow in years, bringing year-to-date net flows to flat after being stubbornly in the green for much of the year despite what has been another deplorable year for hedge funds.

This was not the first time either: over the last three years, investors had removed over $100 billion from the industry, but performance gains had offset these losses... at least until last month.

And then October came which was not only a "bloodbath across almost every strategy", but was the worst month for hedge funds in 7 years.
