Police unveil speed camera that spies on drivers from almost a MILE away

A Big Brother Watch spokesperson told The Sun Online:

“Police shouldn’t be filming innocent people inside their cars, without their knowledge, unless they’re suspected of a crime or driving dangerously.

“Our roads are already watched by ANPR cameras that capture over 40 million records of our journeys each day. We are edging dangerously close to becoming a surveillance state.”

UKRAINE URGES NATO TO SEND WARSHIPS TO CONFRONT RUSSIA

Still bound and determined that the maritime incident last weekend in the Sea of Azov portends a full-scale war with Russia, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko called on all NATO nations and other allied states to start relocating warships en masse to the sea to “assist Ukraine” in a conflict.

"We cannot accept this aggressive policy of Russia. First it was Crimea, then eastern Ukraine, now he wants the Sea of Azov. Germany, too, has to ask itself: What will Putin do next if we do not stop him?"

Webmaster's Commentary:

Poroshenko does a magnificent job of playing the crazed dictator, turning events around 180 degrees, so that the world can be brought around to see things his way.

Poroshenko's major problem right now, is that he cannot get re-elected next March, without a magnificent distraction, to make him appear to be on the keening edge of actually "winning" something, like a conflict with Russia.

So, what does he do, at the behest of NATO and the US?!?

He created an "incident" in the Sea of Azov, which, under maritime law, is actually under Russia control. His commanders never told the Russians that they were going to do this, hence they got stopped, and their staff got arrested.

And as for Crimea, and I hate having to say this perpetually, because in the wonderful words of Ron White, "You can't fix stupid", Russia never annexed Crimea.

Let's set the way-back machine (which is nearly IMPLODING, with the force of having to use it over and over again) to 2014.

The duly elected Ukrainian President, Yanukovich , was well and truly thrown under the proverbial bus, as he was considered as "too Russian Centric" to meet the needs of the US/NATO/WORLD BANK/ crowd.

So Western elements got rid of Yanukovich, and "Installed" Petro Poroshenkco as the Western-centric President, with an election more crooked than is a dog's hind leg.

Because this guy kept screaming about an "imminent Russian invasion" for the first four years of his presidency, I seriously doubt that NATO is going to run "pass interference" for him in the Azov Sea.

Poroshenko has been a complete, nearly laughable embarrassment to all the Western influencers which put him into power, and now are experiencing a most painful and extreme case of "Buyer's Remorse" because of it.

Oh, and about Crimea getting "annexed by Russia"?!?

That never happened.

After the putsch in Kiev, the Crimean officials understood that there was no more representative government there, they did two things: first, post putsch, they asked the Crimean people if they wanted to stay with Ukraine, or petition the Russian Federation to join it. Overwhelmingly, the Crimean people voted to leave Ukraine, and petition the Russian Federation for membership. and the Russian Federation agreed.

Even President Obama, on a television interview, confessed that the Government of the United States of America, played a role in getting Yanukovich out. President Obama admits that the US government brokered a deal in support of regime change in Kiev.

So, Petro Poroshenko, you can take your "impending war" with Russia to a dark place the sun cannot reach; this is merely lies, on top of lies, and you know it, as does Russia.

PC GONE MAD: Criticising migration could become CRIMINAL offence under new plan

The United Nations Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration seeks to make immigration a universal human right. MEP Marcel de Graaff said: “I would like to say some words on the global compact on migration. On the 10th and 11th of December there will be an international congress in Marrakesh Morocco. The participating countries are set to sign this agreement and although this joint agreement is not binding it is still meant to be the legal framework on which the participating countries commit themselves to build new legislation.

“One basic element of this new agreement is the extension of the definition of hate speech.

“The agreement wants to criminalise migration speech. Criticism of migration will become a criminal offence.

“Media outlets that give room to criticism of migration can be shut down.

DEPLOYED CIVILIANS CAN’T GET WORKER’S COMP — AND THAT’S BAD NEWS FOR A MILITARY THAT DEPENDS ON THEM

About 500,000 military veterans served in Iraq and Afghanistan. They were supported by nearly four times as many civilians, U.S.and foreign. As health complaints from these veterans increased, Congress asked the National Academy of Sciences to enter into an agreement with the Department of Defense to evaluate the available scientific evidence regarding associations between service members’ illnesses and exposure to toxic agents, environmental hazards, or medicines and vaccines. This evaluation generated the Persian Gulf War Veterans Act of 1998, and the Veterans Programs Enhancement Act of 1998. A section of the U.S.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is both insane, and officially horrible, for those people working for our Military; they need effective guidelines for HOW to get the help they need; not more regulations making that care impossible for them to attain.

And in looking at the many US-generated wars foreseen in the near future, about which the State Department, Pentagon, and White House are salivating mightily, it is up to the US government and military to fix this idiocy, and right the heck now.

QATAR QUITS OPEC

Qatar will leave the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries as of next month, its energy minister told media today, adding that the decision was part of a long-term strategy for growing its international presence on energy markets with a focus on gas.

Qatar is the world’s largest exporter of liquefied natural gas, but it has Australia breathing down its neck as well as emerging competition from the United States and other, smaller, producers.

“Qatar has decided to withdraw its membership form OPEC effective January 2019 and this decision was communicated to OPEC this morning,” Saad al-Kaabi said, as quoted by Reuters, at a news conference. He said the decision had been hard to make since Qatar had been a member of the cartel for almost six decades, but it had very little influence on OPEC decisions. Qatar produces about 600,000 bpd, which ranks it among the smaller OPEC producers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So what happens when OPEC cracks up, which it looks as though it is on the verge of happening now, and how will this affect oil prices going into 2019?

REPORT: SOROS-FUNDED UNIVERSITY FORCED OUT OF HUNGARY

A university funded by George Soros has been forced out of the billionaire’s native country of Hungary, according to a Monday report.

“The Central European University, founded by George Soros, said on Monday it had been forced out of Hungary in “an arbitrary eviction” that violated academic freedom, and it confirmed plans to enroll new students in neighboring Austria next year,” said Reuters.

Soros, who donates millions to leftist nonprofits mostly in the United States, has been engulfed in a battler with the right-leaning leader of his native land, Prime Minister Victor Orban. The main point of contention is immigration policy. Soros often funds open borders groups, while Hungary has refused to partake in the harboring of Middle Eastern and African migrants. Orban forced Soros’ Open Societies Foundation out of Hungary earlier this year.

CEU is not thrilled with its eviction

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bravo, Hungary, well done!!

And BTW, why don't international countries just whisk away the illegal immigrants, and then gently, (no hurting, now!)air lift them on top of every property George Soros owns, then drop them there; I really think this man is well overdue for a taste of his own "Cultural Enrichment", don't you?!? :-)

America’s Ongoing Holocaust Of The Poor

Almost a week ago I saw a story on Zerohedge about how the life expectancy rate has fallen in the US for the third year in a row. Our deficits may finally be coming home to roost

There are no “free lunches” in fiscal policy. All government spending must be paid for by taxpayers, either today or in the future. The burden of deficit spending may show up as an inflation tax, if the Fed opts to monetize the debt. -- More likely, the burden will fall on future generations that inherit a smaller capital stock and are faced with paying higher tax rates.

US Defense Contractor Posts Job Offering For "Classified Contingency Operations" In Ukraine

The geopolitical analysis site SouthFront has unearthed from the pages of LinkedIn an incredible public job offering by a US defense contractor which reveals potentially sensitive information. The job posting mentions "classified Contingency Operations" in Ukraine and was posted a mere 15 days ago — just prior to last Sunday's incident between the Russian and Ukrainian navies in the Kerch Strait.

Writes SouthFront, the US-based defense contractor company "Mission Essential" accidentally revealed a US military specialist deployment in the combat zones in Ukraine via a Job Advertisement on LinkedIn.

Crucially, it's yet further evidence which disproves the years-long claims by Washington that the United States is not directly involved militarily in the Ukraine conflict. The public posting suggests US special forces operations are indeed active and ongoing as tensions with Russia soar.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears to me, that President Trump has been very happy, to double down on a very bad idea.

That "bad Idea", which goes back to President Obama, was that an infusion of capitalistic vigor, and military "advisors, were going to work to give Ukraine the place it deserved at the table with NATO and the EU.

Unfortunately, due to the amazing levels of corruption under Poroshenko's watch, which apparently didn't bother either President Obama, or President Trump such relationships are not, nor may ever be, in Ukraine's grasp.

What we have here is a paramilitary dictatorship, desperate to get those republics they lost, like Donbass, back under the Ukrainian orbit.

How much the US is going to "assist them" is anyone's guess. But that incident in the Kerch Gulf, coupled with the placement of this ad, doesn't augur well for peace in the region at all.

US SECRETARY OF STATE POMPEO CONDEMNS IRAN MISSILE TEST

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Saturday condemned what he described as Iran’s testing of a medium-range ballistic missile capable of carrying multiple warheads as a violation of the international agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program.

Amid tension between Washington and Tehran over ballistic missiles, Pompeo warned in a statement released on Twitter that Iran is increasing its “testing and proliferation” of missiles and called on the Islamic Republic to “cease these activities.”

US President Donald Trump pulled out of an international nuclear agreement in May and reimposed sanctions on Tehran, criticising the deal for not including curbs on Iran’s development of ballistic missiles or its support for proxies in Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Will SOMEONE in the room please give Pompeo some Calcium and Magnesium, please, before the guy has a conniption?!?

Here is the UN resolution on these issues:

Here is what the resolution actually states:

Resolution 2231 (2015)

Ballistic missile-related transfers and activities
What are the restrictions on Iranian ballistic missile activities?
Paragraph 3 of Annex B of resolution 2231 (2015) calls upon Iran not to undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons, including launches using such ballistic missile technology.

What are the restrictions on ballistic missile-related transfers to or activities with Iran?

Resolution 2231 (2015)The document goes on to state:

"Ballistic missile-related transfers and activities

What are the restrictions on Iranian ballistic missile activities?
Paragraph 3 of Annex B of resolution 2231 (2015) calls upon Iran not to undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons, including launches using such ballistic missile technology.

What are the restrictions on ballistic missile-related transfers to or activities with Iran?

Pursuant to paragraph 4 of Annex B of resolution 2231 (2015), if approved in advance on a case-by-case basis by the Security Council, all States may participate in and permit:

the supply, sale or transfer directly or indirectly from their territories, or by their nationals or using their flag vessels or aircraft to or from Iran, or for the use in or benefit of Iran, and whether or not originating in their territories."

But, unfortunately for his outrage (which needs a separate room for some rational containment at this point, )Mr. Pompeo cannot prove that these missiles are being engineered for nuclear usage; they are simply medium range ballistic missiles which are capable of carrying multiple warheads. And with so many countries looking to attempt to take a "bite" out of Iran, (like Saudi Arabia, Israel, and the US), why does Iran not have the right to take care of itself militarily, and work on domestically produced missiles with which which can defend itself?!?

Oh, and Mr. Pompeo, one more thing that you didn't get with your morning "memos" a couple of months ago, must have been the following;

Per IAEA inspections, Iran still compliant on the P5+30 deal

So, Sir, if the IAEA states that Iran is still in compliance with the P5+1 agreement, how in the name of heaven can you state, with a straight face, that the test Iran did "violates UNSCR 2231", when you cannot prove, incontrovertibly, that the test was for a nuclear bomb?!? The short, moral and logical answer is, you cannot.

Multiple, Sir: not nuclear. One begins with an M, not an O.

Oh, and while we're talking about the Middle East nuclear weapons proliferation issue, and the rhino snoring fitfully in the living room,(spoiler alert: Israel's nuclear weapons), can you please explain to my brother and sister Americans why the American tax payers are still paying for weapons and defense for this country, when such action is Constitutionally forbidden by the Symington and Glenn Amendments?!?

Any enlightenment here, Mr. Pompeo?!? Why does Congress choose to break the law, over and over again, by providing funding and weapons for Israel, while homeless Vets sleep rough in our streets; our infrastructure is collapsing in front of us; and we are living in a Thirdworldistan nation, at this point in the history of the Unhinged, Surveilled, State of Amerika.

UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY URGES ISRAEL TO COMPLETELY WITHDRAW FROM GOLAN HEIGHTS

The vote followed US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley's announcement that Washington plans to reject a UN General Assembly resolution on the Golan Heights region given the document's "anti-Israel bias".

A resolution urging Israel to withdraw from the entirety of the Golan Heights has been adopted by the majority of the countries represented in the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

The Syrian Golan resolution was approved by a vote of 99 in favor, 10 against and 66 abstentions during the UNGA's Friday session.

The document declared that Israel's decision to extend its legislation on the Golan Heights is null and void and that the Jewish state should withdraw from the strategically-important territory.

Munzer Munzer, acting charge d’affaires of Syria’s permanent delegation to the UN, accused Israel of continuing to occupy “a precious part of our land” as Syrian people there “continue to suffer because of this occupation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unless Israel is forced, militarily, to get out of the Golan, such a "give back" of this territory will only happen... when pigs discover they are aerodynamic.

U.S. Navy admiral Scott Stearney found dead in apparent suicide

Vice Adm. Scott Stearney, who oversaw U.S. Navy forces in the Middle East, was found dead Saturday in his residence in Bahrain, officials said. Defense officials told CBS News they are calling it an "apparent suicide."

Stearney was the commander of the U.S. Navy's Bahrain-based 5th Fleet. Rear Adm. Paul Schlise, the deputy commander of Fifth Fleet, has assumed command, the Navy said in a statement.

"Scott Stearney was a decorated Naval warrior. He was a devoted husband and father, and he was a good friend to all," the statement said.

Deep Quandaries of the Deep State

The potential for a stand-off exists that will confound any effort to untangle these things, and I can see how that might lead to an extraordinary crisis in which Mr. Trump has to declare some form of emergency or perhaps martial law to clean out this suppurating abscess of illegality and sedition. That can only be the last and worst resort, but what if the US judicial system just can’t manage to clean up the mess it has made?

G7 declares 'unwavering support' for Ukraine over Russia standoff

Foreign ministers from the world's seven biggest economies, known as the Group of Seven or G7, have condemned Russia's actions in Kerch Strait as they reaffirmed their "unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity".

A statement by G7 members - the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the High Representative of the European Union - on Friday said there was "no justification" for Russia's use of military force against Ukrainian ships and naval personnel.

"We urge restraint, due respect for international law, and the prevention of any further escalation. We call on Russia to release the detained crew and vessels and refrain from impeding lawful passage through the Kerch Strait," the statement read.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Don't the congenital idiots who write advertising/position propaganda for the G7 understand: Crimea was NEVER annexed by Russia. Let me break this out in small words, so that you will comprehend what I am saying.

Let' set the way-back machine to 2014.

In a plot, to which President Obama alluded in a television interview, that the US was one of the leading sponsors of regime change in Kiev, as Ukraine's President, President Yanukovich, was infinitely more Russia centric, economically, rather than Western-Centric.

Washington was behind Ukraine Coup; Obama admits that the US brokered a deal in support of regime change

OK, writers of this Codswallop for the G7, IF I KNOW THIS, MILLIONS AROUND THE WORLD UNDERSTAND THIS AS WELL. But of course, given an organisation the size and financial girth of the G7, the truth, when the independent media disproves you lies, cannot be tolerated.

What Crimea did, is perfectly legal to do under the Charter of the UN, (and most of your members are actual members of the UN, Right?!?) This is called the right to "peaceful self-determiniation."

The people of Crimea did two things. First, Crimean citizens were asked if they wanted stay on as a part of Ukraine, or leave Ukraine, and petition the Russian Government to become one of its members. Crimeans voted, overwhelmingly, to leave Ukraine, and become part of the Russian Federation.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this, in the eyes of the UN; but because Crimea voted to join Russia, rather than stay with Ukraine, such an outcome was not to your liking, so you decided to lie about it.

It is very sad, that you think that you can get away with this kind of attitude and behaviour, and lie to the public, when both Americans and people around the world, already know the truth about what happened with Crimea; your inability to accept the truth, because the outcome was not to your liking, is a very dangerous place from which to make decisions about what your "next step" with Russia will be.

Libya’s Lost Hope

When the United States, France, the UK and a number of other governments sent forces into Libya, the people were to have security and democracy. Seven years later, all that they have had is chaos, death and destruction.

When General Khalifa Haftar boarded the Russian aircraft carrier, Admiral Kuznetsov in January 2017, Putin announced that the Libyan general had a powerful friend, but Vladimir Putin is not General Haftar’s first important friend. Once, he was one of Muammar Qaddafi’s favorites and was given the honor in 1986 of leading an invasion of neighboring Chad. The venture failed and Qaddafi denounced him as a rogue and abandoned him. He would have remained a prisoner of the Chadians if the CIA hadn’t rescued him and moved him to the United States to organize the National Front for the Salvation of Libya in preparation to depose the Libyan dictator.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I love the smell of irony in the morning!!

But mending this country, which fell apart at the seams, after Qaddafi was assassinated by American-backed mercs, will be a very difficult thing to do; I have to wish general Haftar luck, in this endeavor, and hope that he will have both the resources with which to heal these national wounds in Libya.

Swedish Nurses Enroll in Self-Defence Classes After Rise in Violence

Swedish nurses who work in the emergency room of a hospital in Kalmar are taking self-defence classes due to a rise in violent incidents from patients.
The hospital has also taken active measures to increase the number of security guards stationed at the emergency room to better deal with situations before they escalate into violence, Swedish broadcaster SVT reports.

Andrea Berg, a nurse in the Kalmar hospital ER, is behind the initiative saying that she had even seen colleagues beaten by patients who she described as stressed due to factors including long wait times. Berg added that she had also seen a rise in violence outside of work saying, “As a woman, you are much more exposed.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would like to hope that other European countries are learning how deadly unfettered immigration is, and rather than criminalize any comments on what it has caused, start to deal with these crises we are seeking, intelligently and responsibly.

Otherwise, Europe... will be only a fleeting memory, in contrast to the horrific vile actions of those who would destroy the people who welcomed them into their country, and frequently into their homes.

SHERYL SANDBERG ORDERED FACEBOOK STAFF TO INVESTIGATE GEORGE SOROS AFTER HE GAVE THIS SPEECH (READ IT)

Sheryl Sandberg asked Facebook staff to research George Soros because he gave a speech boldly critical of the social media giant as a “menace,” reports the New York Times tonight.

After Davos, "in an email in January to senior communications and policy executives," Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg "asked Facebook's communications staff to research George Soros's financial interests in the wake of his high-profile attacks on tech companies."

If she was willing to do this over a mere billionaire, imagine what Facebook might have done in researching news organizations and reporters who are critical of Facebook?

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would imagine that Sandberg's next actions will be to continue to deplatform, and professionally assassinate sites she doesn't like, with the usual poisoned cocktail of half-lies and innuendo, as we have seen, previously.

OF course, nothing will actually be done to prevent this, because Facebook Twitter, and Google, have become ugly-sister triumverate, in service to America's "Deep State.", which also despises honest logic, or alternative agendas than their own.

SUICIDES, OVERDOSES AND DIABETES: US LIFE EXPECTANCY FALLS FOR 3RD STRAIGHT YEAR

During a year when drug overdose deaths jumped to a record high 72,000 - roughly one every seven minutes - it's probably not surprising that overall life expectancy for Americans declined for the third straight year in 2017. But according to data from the CDC, drugs weren't the only factor at play: Deaths from suicide, the flu, diabetes and many other causes also increased.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would suggest that all of us are under enormous pressures, financially, and socially, to "win" at any cost, no matter the morals involved, and with ever-increasing work tasks.

That, coupled with medications, and a lousy, unsupplemented diet, will always steal the health away from people, if they are not careful about understanding the stresses involved in their lives, and how to manage them.

Prayer, meditation, grounding, and exercise can really come in handy, depending upon what your natural orientation might be, to these activities.

Toxic corporations are now working managers to the bone, to improve that all important bottom line, which usually translates into those managers not having the kind of smart, intellectually lithe people, who can handle whatever comes their way, in a calm, client-centric manner.

There are many online resources which can be helpful, if you are applying for a job with a large corporation, so that you can determine in advance, what companies you would like to work for, and engineer your resume to well match the needs of those companies.

One resource I have found as follows: http://glassceiling.com/ This will give you an overview of management style, salaries, and work/life balance.

As most of you know, I do marketing for a living; and I cannot tell you the number of times when I have connected with a receptionist, who has somehow gotten it into their heads, that rudeness is a form of personal empowerment.

In my world, it is education, compassion, and understanding which are the fundamentals which create the basis for personal empowerment.

I always try to remember, if I get a really negative response from someone, I must understand that I have no clue what has happened to that person right before they took my phone call.

Perhaps they have just learned that one of their parents is slipping into dementia, and care arrangements are going to have to be quickly made; perhaps it is a child who is ill, or having bad experiences at school with bullies; you never know.

Just bless them, and let them go; the next time around may be far more productive a phone encounter.

Amazon May Be Hiding Its Plans to Test New Wireless Tech by Masquerading as a Massage Spa

What do a Silicon Valley massage spa, a local community college, and a California plastics manufacturer have in common? They will soon be testing hundreds of cutting-edge wireless devices, according to an application for an experimental permit filed last week with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.

If that sounds unlikely, it is. It seems much more likely that the new devices will actually be tested at three nearby Amazon facilities. These include two buildings belonging to the company’s secretive Lab126 research division, and one of the retailer’s largest fulfillment centers in the state.

On 19 November, a company called Chrome Enterprises sought permission to test up to 450 prototype devices using Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS), a new technology that aims to deliver ultrafast wireless broadband over shared radio frequencies.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is a question of who actually gets the money from the ultimate sale of those devices, which have to work magnificently to receive approval.

42-minute video: Q promises IMMINENT .01% endgame arrests. Patriots’ 2 paths: victory with demand for full Truth, OR dismiss Q as .01% PSYOP with our increased demand for .01% ARRESTS FOR ONGOING CRIMES annually killing millions

*hyperlinks/videos live at source*

Psychological operations (PSYOP): operations to convey selected information and indicators to audiences to influence emotions, motives, and objective reasoning… The purpose of United States psychological operations is to induce or reinforce behavior favorable to U.S. objectives.

I’ve followed Q with interest for the past year, with reports and historical context. This last report provides my detailed analysis, documentation for factual claims, and links to prior reports.

My bottom line is that Q’s source has three possible explanations, and connected Patriot responses:

1. Q is authentic. Arrests of .01% criminals might require Patriots’ demand for full Truth of our history, as intelligent action in the present requires comprehensive factual accuracy of our status.
2. Q is another .01% PSYOP. This will be proven by ongoing excuses why arrests must wait. Patriots must conclude for themselves what is and is not reasonable justification.

Gun Control Fails New Jersey

If that is what gun-control looks like, then I don’t want any of it. The reason gun control fails is obvious. In the criminal justice system, only the first crime is expensive: all the other crimes are free. You don’t care if you use a stolen gun or a stolen car once you are going to commit murder. Mueller has tortured enough minnows and made enough noise but if he hasn’t got the goods to nail Trump the whale by now he should shut up shop and go home

Donald Trump has never made any secret that he enjoys doing business with Russians.

When I interviewed him for GQ magazine in 2008, he told me how he’d recently made a $60 million profit on a house in Florida that way.

Donald Trump has never made any secret that he enjoys doing business with Russians.

The fact remains that Mueller, so far as we know, has yet to prove Trump either colluded with the Russians to fix the election or had business activities with Russia that clouded his approach to dealing with Russia.

Nor do we know if Cohen has any actual evidence to implicate the President in wrongdoing.

Tusk 'Sure' EU to Roll Over Sanctions Against Russia Over Kerch Row in December

The Kerch Strait incident took place on Sunday when three Ukrainian naval vessels, heading from the Black Sea to the Azov Sea, tried to pass through the strait without obtaining permission from Russia and thus illegally crossing the country's sea border.

European Council President Donald Tusk said on Friday he was sure that the EU leaders would roll out new sanctions against Russia due to Moscow's response to Ukraine's naval activity in the Kerch Strait.

READ MORE: NATO to Keep Monitoring Black Sea Following Ukraine's Kerch Strait Provocation

"The de-escalation in the Sea of Azov is a cause of a grave concern to us, and of course Russia's use of force against Ukrainian ships is totally unacceptable… Europe is united in its support of Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity. And this is why I am sure that the EU will roll over the sanctions against Russia in December," Tusk said at a press conference during G20 summit.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is as simple as the Ukrainian sailors having crossed into Russia's sovereign marine territory; they were wrong, period, end of discussion.

Unfortunately, the US and its European allies have nasty habit of accusing Russia for things Russia never did, and ultimately using that as the pretext for war.

I would like to see all aggrieved parties come together to step back from the precipice here, and for Poroshenko to ultimately admit that his sailors were dead wrong here, and make amends. Of course, this will not happen, because Poroshenko is the US's and NATO's "picador" when it comes to relations with Russia. The last thing we need... is another world war.Ac

Buchanan: Is Putin The Provocateur In The Kerch Crisis?

Authored by Patrick Buchanan via The Unz Review,

On departure for the G-20 gathering in Buenos Aires, President Donald Trump canceled his planned weekend meeting with Vladimir Putin, citing as his reason the Russian military’s seizure and holding of three Ukrainian ships and 24 sailors.

But was Putin really the provocateur in Sunday’s naval clash outside Kerch Strait, the Black Sea gateway to the Sea of Azov?

Or was the provocateur Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko?

First, a bit of history.

In 2014, after the pro-Russian regime in Kiev was ousted in a coup, and a pro-NATO regime installed with U.S. backing, Putin detached and annexed Crimea, for centuries the home port of Russia’s Black Sea fleet.

With the return of Crimea, Russia now occupied both sides of Kerch Strait. And this year, Russia completed a 12-mile bridge over the strait and Putin drove the first truck across.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Pat Buchanan, you miss a very important point here, which needs repeating.

Russia did NOT annex Crimea.

After Poroshenko was installed as President in 2014, understanding that there would only be corruption now from the Ukrainian government in Kiev, the Crimean officials did two things.

First, they did a referendum with the Crimean people, to determine if they wanted to stay with the "new Ukraine", or slip away, and request a transfer of governance with Russia.

They overwhelmingly said that they wanted to petition the Russian Federation for acceptance into that Federation, and Russia accepted this.

There was utterly no annexation; just a referendum, followed by a petition to join the Russian Federation; nothing more, nothing less. Pat, please check your history, as I know that what I have said is the absolute truth of how this came down.

But you are absolutely correct, when you talk about this not being America's fight, and particularly right now.

At U.S. Supreme Court Argument, Indiana Claims It Can Forfeit Cars For Speeding, Minor Drug Crimes

Arguing before the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday, Indiana’s solicitor general was already trying to defend confiscating a $42,000 Land Rover taken from Tyson Timbs, who sold less than $400 worth of drugs. Before the day was through though, Solicitor General Thomas Fisher found himself arguing that the Constitution would let him forfeit luxury cars caught going five miles over the speed limit.

Both scenarios involved civil forfeiture, which allows law enforcement agencies to seize and keep property, even over the most tenuous links to wrongdoing, as well as the Eighth Amendment’s ban on excessive fines. During Wednesday’s oral argument, Fisher claimed that the latter didn’t apply to the former.

Incredulous of Fisher’s position, Justice Stephen Breyer asked him, “So what is to happen if a state needing revenue says anyone who speeds has to forfeit the Bugatti, Mercedes, or a special Ferrari or even jalopy?”

Goldman: The "Most Likely" Outcome Of The Trump-Xi Dinner Is More Escalation

Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump, each accompanied by senior officials (with uber China-hawk Peter Navarro present), will dine together Saturday on the sidelines of the G20 conclave in Argentina. Market participants are intensely focused on the leaders’ meeting as a potential inflection point in the escalating economic tensions between the two countries.

And while many have expressed hopes that at least some tentative thawing in relations will emerge as a result of tomorrow's meeting, Goldman Sachs disagrees, and in a Thursday note said that a continued escalation of the U.S.-China trade war would be the "most likely" outcome of the meeting.

In previewing the three possible outcomes of the Saturday dinner, Goldman writes that it sees three basic scenarios for what happens after this weekend.

Saudi Facing OPEC Mutiny As Members Object To "Problematic" US Influence

As US stocks seesaw with every conflicting trade-war related headline, investors are fixating on tomorrow night's dinner meeting between President Trump and President Xi with laser-like focus. But the Trump-Xi summit isn't the only meeting that could have broad repercussions for global markets, and though it has received much less attention in the press, the planned meetings between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman (along with the Russian and Saudi energy ministers) could dictate the course of global oil prices for the foreseeable future.

Looming over the Saudi-Russia talks are suspicions that Saudi Arabia has been accelerating production of oil beyond the cuts adopted by OPEC+ in November 2016 to placate President Trump - a conspiracy "theory" first highlighted by Zero Hedge weeks ago, which has finally won acknowledgment in the pages of the Wall Street Journal and other mainstream press.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Remember what I mentioned in my article today, about the meeting of Saudi Prince Bin Salman, and the Russian President Putin?!?

I have a very strong feeling, that I might well have been right!!

And again, there will be utterly nothing President Trump can do to unseal, or scotch the deal, where payment on the oil will most likely be in another denomination than that of the US dollar.

3 Things That Happened Just Before The 2008 Crisis Are Happening Again Right Now

Authored by Michael Snyder via The Economic Collapse blog.

Real estate, oil and the employment numbers are all telling us the same thing, and that is really bad news for the U.S. economy. It really does appear that economic activity is starting to slow down significantly, but just like in 2008 those that are running things don’t want to admit the reality of what we are facing. Back then, Fed Chair Ben Bernanke insisted that the U.S. economy was not heading into a recession, and we later learned that a recession had already begun when he made that statement. And as you will see at the end of this article, current Fed Chair Jerome Powell says that he is “very happy” with how the U.S. economy is performing, but he shouldn’t be so thrilled.

f all of this sounds eerily similar to 2008, that is because it is eerily similar to what happened just before and during the last financial crisis.

Merkel Ally Suggests Blockading Russian Ships From All EU And US Ports

A close senior political ally of German Chancellor Angela Merkel told Reuters on Friday that the European Union and the United States should consider banning all Russian ships that originate from the Sea of Avoz from entering EU and US ports until last Sunday's Kerch Strait crisis is resolved.

German conservative Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, who is said to be most likely to succeed Merkel as leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, told Reuters:

One answer might be, for example, to stop Russian ships coming from the region - from the Sea of ??Azov - from entering European or U.S. ports until this situation with Ukraine is resolved.

And turning her attention to US sanctions targeting Russia and Germany's less than eager willingness to go along, Reuters reports further:

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but has Kram-Karrenbauer gone absolutely stark raving, gepolitically insane?!?

Blockades are considered an act of war, just in case her European history is a little fuzzy, which it appears to be.

Russia was precisely within its rights to capture and hold the invading Ukrainian boats, courtesy of maritime law. But that this woman is even THINKING about a blockade, makes me very concerned about her true mental health.

Poroshenko has been screaming about a potential "Russian Invasion" ever since he took office in 2014.

Tech giants now BAN biological science… anyone stating that men are not women is silenced

As reported by Breitbart News, a notable feminist, Meghan Murphy, was recently banned from Twitter because she dared to point out what used to be an obvious truism: Biological men are not biological women, and it doesn’t matter how one “identifies” or what one claims as his/her ‘sex.’

Following the ban, Murphy wrote a piece for Quillette earlier this week to explain how “banal” facts have now, in the Left’s crazy mixed-up gender world, become “heresy — akin to terrorist speech.”

Murphy was permanently banished from the platform last week because she said, “Women aren’t men,” and, “How are trans women not men? What is the difference between a man and a transwoman?”

Heresy! Off with your account!

1 In 3 'Caravan' Migrants Are Sick, Some With Deadly Diseases

Authored by Mac Slavo via SHTFplan.com

Tijuana health officials have said that of those migrants in the caravan at the United States’ border with Mexico, about one third is being treated for health concerns. Migrants who came with the caravan are suffering from respiratory infections, tuberculosis, chickenpox, and some other serious health issues, Tijuana’s Health Department warned on Thursday morning.
A spokesman for the Tijuana Health Department told Fox News that out of 6,000 migrants currently residing in the city, over a third of them (2,267) are being treated for health-related issues.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If even ONE of these diseases starts to strike US citizens, there will be a catastrophic epidemic, because the entire US medical system, both at State and Federal Levels, don't have the resources at all, for dealing with this kind of pandemic.

The Nuclear Lies of NATO’s Jens Stoltenberg. Brand New “Precision Guidance” Nukes Deployed All Over Europe

First: as from March 2020, the United States will begin to deploy in Italy, Germany, Belgium, and Holland (where B-61 nuclear bombs are already based), and probably also in other European countries, the first nuclear bomb with precision guidance in their arsenal, the B61-12. Its function is primarily anti-Russian. This new bomb is designed with penetrating capacity, enabling it to explode underground in order to destroy the central command bunkers with its first strike. How would the United States react if Russia deployed nuclear bombs in Mexico, right next to their territory? Since Italy and the other countries, violating the non-proliferation Treaty, are allowing the USA to use its bases, as well as its pilots and planes, for the deployment of nuclear weapons, Europe will be exposed to a greater risk as the first line of the growing confrontation with Russia.

A Savage ‘War To End All Wars,’ and a Failed Peace

Europe lost an entire generation, killed, maimed or forever psychologically broken by the war. Many Europeans lost faith in the snake oil of nationalism and turned away from the standard frameworks of monarchy or liberal democracy. Some found solace in socialism, whereas others doubled down on ultranationalism in the form of fascist leaders.

Despite 9 million battle deaths – a number unfathomable when the war began – WWI solved little and sowed the seeds for the European cataclysm of 1939-45. It is an uncomfortable truth, especially for the United States, a nation that tends to see itself as being at the center of the world; the US played mostly a late, and bit, part in the drama across the Atlantic.

Trump: Experts All Say US Troops Need to Stay in Afghanistan

With three US troops killed in Afghanistan earlier this week, President Trump was pressed on the matter of why, 17+ years in, the US military remains in the country. He told interviewers that “every expert that I have and speak to says if we don’t go there, they’re going to be fighting over here. And I’ve heard it over and over again.”

When Trump announced his escalation of the war last year, he said his first impulse was to pull out, but that the experts had assured him the war was still winnable. In recent months, officials have been very public about trying to convince Trump to stay in the war despite how poorly its going.

Trump’s claims that all the experts he’s hearing are telling him the same thing suggests his administration is limiting his access to dissenters. The war is plainly going disastrously, and it wouldn’t be hard to find people who would tell the president as much.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We continue to fight this horrific war for the following reasons; to control the huge pipelines which chris-cross the country; the rights to develop the rare earth elements in Afghanistan; and to control the opium crops for CIA off the book operations.

And hey, if people (including our military) get killed in the way of making huge profits from all the above, they were simply just "collateral damage" and getting in the way of accomplishing what the Deep State wants to see happen here.

Siding with fascism: Western ideologues pose greater threat to the West's security than ISIS

A Western ideologue unravelling is no pretty sight. It’s like watching a lobster boiling in a pot. And like that lobster he or she eventually pops.

‘Popping’ recently over Russia have been key figures of the Western geopolitical and ideological firmament – people for whom the world is made of a Western bloc of nations divinely ordained to command, and the rest of the world condemned to obey.

A prime example of what I mean concerns the Atlantic Council in Washington, one of the more notorious of an ever expanding network of neocon think tanks in our world, within whose Washington offices you will find gathered cranks of inordinate dimension.

For such people Russia is not a country of 146 million people whose contribution to the world in the fields of art, science, culture and so on has been profound throughout its history and remains so today, but instead is a cancer that needs to be removed – preferably by force.

State Dept: Military Option Remains on the Table Against Iran

In the course of reiterating allegations that Iran is sending small arms and drones to its allies abroad, the US State Department also issued a threat to attack Iran. They warned the US “will not hesitate to use military force” and that the option remains open for Iran.

The US has been threatening to attack Iran for decades now. The threats had calmed down in recent years, with the P5+1 nuclear deal, but with the deal subsequently dishonored by the Trump Administration, it seems the old status quo of constant sanctions and threats is returning.

The allegations about drones and arms center around Pentagon-provided images of wreckage which they say contained the logos of Iranian arms makers. The arms shipments are said to center on Yemen, in keeping with Saudi allegations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder if these images have, perchance, been photoshopped or changed in any way, in order to justify an agenda.

But I would strongly caution President Trump; if we go toe to toe against Iran, the Russians will most probably come in on Iran's side. And the world has seen, in Syria, just how well Russia's weaponry has evolved.

Mr. President, a word here; this action is called on upon by Israel, Sheldon Adelson, and possibly Saudi Arabia. And all these countries fully expect for this war to be fought at only the costs of American blood... and American money.

Saudis, UAE Block UN Call for Yemen Ceasefire

The British government’s UN resolution calling for a Yemen ceasefire has been blocked by heavy lobbying from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, chief participants in the war. The resolution would’ve called for a halt to fighting in the vital aid port of Hodeidah.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was very public in his opposition to the ceasefire, with British officials saying he “threw a fit” about their proposal. The prince complained that it weakened the Saudi position on the war.

Salman’s level of influence is perhaps not what it was after the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, though apparently it was still enough to convince several nations, including the US, to block the ceasefire resolution and demanding it be held off for at least a month.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder; just what does the House of Saud believe it can win in another 30 days in Yemen, when in 3 years, his soldiers have been totally unable to "pacify" the Rebel Houthis?!?

And when one is an international leader, like Saudi Arabia' s Butcher of Yemen, in a country where the governed have no say over its leadership, we are looking at just what that extra 30 days may buy him and his allies: the short answer is, more killing; more starvation; and more disease on the part of the Yemeni people.

PAUL CRAIG ROBERTS: RUSSIA IS DISADVANTAGED BY HER BELIEF THAT THE WEST IS GOVERNED BY LAW

Ukrainian military ships have violated Russian restrictions in the Sea of Azov and Articles 19 and 21 of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. The Ukrainian Navy crossed the Russian sea border and entered a closed area of Russian territorial waters. Clearly, Washington was behind this as Ukraine would not undertake such a provocation on its own. Here is an accurate explanation of the event: https://www.rt.com/news/444857-russia-ukraine-kerch-strait-standoff/

The Russian Navy detained the Ukrainian ships. Of course, the Western presstitutes, most of whom are CIA assets, will blame “Russian aggression.” Washington and its presstitutes are doing everything they can to make impossible Trump’s expressed goal of normal relations with Russia. NATO spokesperson Oana Lungescu quickly aligned NATO with Ukraine: “NATO fully supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and its territorial integrity, including its navigation rights in its territorial waters.”

"MYSTERIOUS HELICOPTERS" RESCUING ISIS AND AL-QAEDA - A BRIEF TIMELINE

Although the United States government routinely denies that it in any way cooperates with ISIS, reports continue to manifest themselves demonstrating exactly the opposite, particularly in Syria. Over the course of the war and ever since the emergence of the terrorist organization on the world scene, there have been a number of “mysterious helicopters” that extract ISIS fighters from battlefields in which they are facing imminent defeat either by the legitimate government of the countries in which they are fighting, pro-government militias, or even ahead of “anti-ISIS” strikes by the alleged “anti-ISIS coalition.”

While not attempting to go in to a detailed explanation or analysis of each incident, below are a number of reports of such “airlifts of evil” that have surfaced over the last two years. The Pentagon, as mentioned above, has repeatedly denied these reports.

BAYER TO FIRE 12,000 - ONE OF EVERY TEN WORKERS - AFTER MONSANTO LEGAL TROUBLES

German pharmaceuticals and chemicals giant, Bayer, announced plans to cut 12,000 out of 118,200 jobs worldwide, or roughly 1 in 10 jobs, in hopes of cutting costs and regaining investor favor after a series of legal setbacks over its purchase of Monsanto earlier this year.

As the FT reports, the proposed reorganization include a plan to exit the market for animal health products, as well the company's Coppertone sun care and Dr. Scholl’s foot care product lines; Bayer also plans to sell the group’s 60% stake in service provider Currenta.

"Including the synergies expected from the acquisition of Monsanto, Bayer anticipates annual contributions of €2.6bn from 2022 on as a result of its planned efficiency and structural measures," the group said in a statement.

Werner Baumann, the Bayer chief executive, said: “With these measures, we are positioning Bayer optimally for the future as a life sciences company.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bayer has every right to be concerned.

When one merges with a corporation which consistently puts profit first; the heath of the end user is not even in the picture; and lies, blatantly about the product's safety when it knows better, there will be intense financial, and moral, implications surrounding that merger.

SENATORS SEEKING TO SHOOT DOWN YEMEN BILL WERE PAID BY SAUDI LOBBYISTS

Prior to the Oct. 2 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the hands of a Saudi assassination squad — which the CIA believes was on direct orders of crown prince MbS himself — a tiny segment of the American public had likely ever heard of deep Pentagon role in executing the Saudi war on Yemen, which has raged since 2015.

But after Khashoggi's brutal slaying, the mainstream media suddenly "discovered" what the U.N. has called the "world's worst humanitarian crisis". The handful of Senators who've long fought to end the U.S. role in the war, however, might now be thinking better late than never as on Wednesday in a hugely important 63-37 victory, the Senate agreed to finally move forward with a full floor debate over the legality of America's involvement in the conflict.

Amazing news: The Senate just voted 63-37 in support of a bill to end the US-Saudi war on Yemen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mike and I have not only heard about it, but blogged about it, when President Obama jumped feet-first to a commitment to impress his Saudi hosts, but actually had no bearing on the safety and security of Americans.

I hope, that with a full debate on this issue, the White House will understand that it actually doesn't have the authority to make a commitment like this, and it should never have been made in the first place, without Congress's full and engaged consent to this mission, or others, like Syria and Ukraine.

THESE COUNTRIES ARE QUICKLY AND QUIETLY DUMPING THE DOLLAR

Over the past few months, there has been a steady uptick in the number of countries dumping significant portions of their dollar holdings. This is causing many people to worry whether or not the US economy is in for a massive shock sooner, later, or somewhere in between.

While American corporate media outlets either ignore the developments entirely or claim that there is nothing to worry about, the reality is that the dumping of the dollar is a process that is clearly underway. More than that, it appears it is a process that is at least partially coordinated by a number of countries that have been targets of American sanctions and financial bullying in the “post 9/11 world.”

Thus, while corporate media outlets ignore the vanishing dollar dominance and reassure their hapless audience that everything is fine, alt media outlets are predicting a second Weimar Republic, this time in North America.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I cannot tell you, for certain, when the dollar is no longer the protected world currency in this world; but as we get into December, my sense is that the global degradation of the dollar, perhaps in favor of a "basket" of international currencies, cannot possibly be far behind.

CHINESE GOVERNMENT GETS REAL TIME LOCATION TRACKING DATA ON ELECTRIC VEHICLES

When Shan Junhua bought his white Tesla Model X, he knew it was a fast, beautiful car. What he didn’t know is that Tesla constantly sends information about the precise location of his car to the Chinese government.

Tesla is not alone. China has called upon all electric vehicle manufacturers in China to make the same kind of reports — potentially adding to the rich kit of surveillance tools available to the Chinese government as President Xi Jinping steps up the use of technology to track Chinese citizens.

“I didn’t know this,” said Shan. “Tesla could have it, but why do they transmit it to the government? Because this is about privacy.”

More than 200 manufacturers, including Tesla, Volkswagen, BMW, Daimler, Ford, General Motors, Nissan, Mitsubishi and U.S.-listed electric vehicle startup NIO, transmit position information and dozens of other data points to government-backed monitoring centers, The Associated Press has found. Generally, it happens without car owners’ knowledge.

THIS GUARDIAN FAKE NEWS STORY PROVES THAT THE MEDIA CAN'T BE TRUSTED

Sources have said Manafort went to see Assange in 2013, 2015 and in spring 2016 – during the period when he was made a key figure in Trump’s push for the White House.

It is unclear why Manafort wanted to see Assange and what was discussed. But the last meeting is likely to come under scrutiny and could interest Robert Mueller, the special prosecutor who is investigating alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

A well-placed source has told the Guardian that Manafort went to see Assange around March 2016. Months later WikiLeaks released a stash of Democratic emails stolen by Russian intelligence officers.

Manafort, 69, denies involvement in the hack and says the claim is “100% false”. His lawyers declined to answer the Guardian’s questions about the visits.

The piece did not include the public denial Wikileaks issued to its 5.4 million followers one and a half hour before it was published.

GOOGLE SHUT OUT PRIVACY AND SECURITY TEAMS FROM SECRET CHINA PROJECT

The secrecy surrounding the work was unheard of at Google. It was not unusual for planned new products to be closely guarded ahead of launch. But this time was different. The objective, code-named Dragonfly, was to build a search engine for China that would censor broad categories of information about human rights, democracy, and peaceful protest.
In February 2017, during one of the first group meetings about Dragonfly at Google’s Mountain View headquarters in California, some of those present were left stunned by what they heard. Senior executives disclosed that the search system’s infrastructure would be reliant upon a Chinese partner company with data centers likely in Beijing or Shanghai.

Locating core parts of the search system on the Chinese mainland meant that people’s search records would be easily accessible to China’s authoritarian government, which has broad surveillance powers that it routinely deploys to target activists, journalists, and political opponents.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And when this has been successfully installed in China, look for Google to be asked to do precisely the same for the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika.

Computer users, please make sure that you stay as anonymous as you can on line, because that same kind of utterly draconian control, is what this government would love to see happen, but probably at least more subtly, and the beginning.

The deplatforming we are seeing of conservative thought, is just the beginning for this process here in the US.

There Is No Case Against Julian Assange So Lies Take the Place of Evidence

Assange is not a whistleblower or a spy – he is the greatest publisher of his age, and has done more to bring the crimes of governments to light than the mainstream media will ever be motivated to achieve. That supposedly great newspaper titles like the Guardian, New York Times and Washington Post are involved in the spreading of lies to damage Assange, and are seeking his imprisonment for publishing state secrets, is clear evidence that the idea of the “liberal media” no longer exists in the new plutocratic age. The press are not on the side of the people, they are an instrument of elite control.

Cover your ears and avert your eyes, Americans: RT is attempting to weaken the United States using a whole host of nefarious methods – such as telling the truth, a former Homeland Security official has warned.

Sounding the alarm during a panel discussion at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, Suzanne Spaulding, former deputy secretary for cyber and infrastructure protection at DHS in the Obama administration, said that one of RT’s methods when it comes to its influencing vulnerable Americans is… telling the truth.

As an example of this worrisome and effective truth-telling, Spaulding cited one of RT’s weekly shows, America’s Lawyer, hosted by prominent US trial lawyer Mike Papantonio.

The Coming Bankruptcy Of The American Empire

Better to bring the troops home on our terms than wait for a debt crisis to do it for us...

The chickens are coming home to roost. It’s only a question of when.

Herbert Stein was chair of the Council of Economic Advisors under Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford and is the father of the more well known Ben Stein. In 1976, he propounded what he called “Stein’s Law”: if something cannot go on forever, it will stop. Stein was referring to economic trends, but the same law applies just as much to foreign policy and the concept of empire.

Stein’s Law at first glance might seem like a banal platitude. But we should be fully cognizant of its implications: an unsustainable system must have an end. The American empire is internally flawed, a fact that anti-imperialists both left and right should appreciate.

Escobar: Kerch Strait Chaos Looks "More Like A Cheap Ploy By Desperate Neocons"

The West is complaining about Russian 'aggression' but the incident looks more like a cheap ploy by a desperate Ukrainian president and US conservatives keen to undermine Trump's next pow-wow with Putin...

When the Ukrainian navy sent a tugboat and two small gunboats on Sunday to force their way through the Kerch Strait into the Sea of Azov, it knew in advance the Russian response would be swift and merciless.

After all, Kiev was entering waters claimed by Russia with military vessels without clarifying their intent.

The intent, though, was clear; to raise the stakes in the militarization of the Sea of Azov.

The Kerch Strait connects the Sea of Azov with the Black Sea. To reach Mariupol, a key city in the Sea of Azov very close to the dangerous dividing line between Ukraine’s army and the pro-Russian militias in Donbass, the Ukrainian navy needs to go through the Kerch.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I hope and pray that Mr. Escobar, for whom I have a world of respect, is seeing this clearly.

But we do have a companion story, courtesy of zerohedge.com, offering the following argument at the highest levels by the British military, about how to respond here:

China Ambassador Warns Of "Dire Consequences" If No Deal, Hints At "All Out" War

Earlier today, Trump's chief economic advisor Larry Kudlow poured cold water on expectations for an imminent resolution of the US-China trade war when he said that negotiations in the run up to this week's G-20 talks "haven't yielded any progress", and unless something changes, the "administration will move ahead with the next phase of tariffs."

"Things have been moving very slowly between the two countries," Kudlow said, adding that it was up to Xi to come up with new ideas to break the deadlock. And, echoing a report from the US Trade Representative published earlier this month, Kudlow said there hasn't been much of a change in China's approach. "We can’t find much change in their approach," Kudlow told reporters. "President Xi may have a lot more to say in the bilateral [with Mr Trump], I hope he does by the way, I think we all hope he does...but at the moment, we don‘t see it."

Webmaster's Commentary:

I hope these two are able to come to some broad "rapprochement" on the issue of trade; these sanctions have already cost American farmers dearly, and whole crops of Soybeans (which the Chinese love to buy from us), are having to be turned under for mulch because storage facilities can't take any more produce.

Russia Deploys S-400 Missiles To Crimea In Military Showdown With Ukraine

Predictably the crisis that began on Sunday between Russia and Ukraine in the Kerch Strait is quickly worsening as Russia has announced plans to deploy more of its advanced S-400 surface-to-air missile systems to Crimea.

Adding to tensions, Reuters has further reported that a Russian warship has been dispatched to the Sea of Azov — waters used by both countries and near where the Russian Navy seized Ukrainian vessels and crew for what Moscow condemned as "maneuvering dangerously" and illegal entry into Russian territory.

The warship was seen departing a Crimean port by a Reuters correspondent on Wednesday and was described as the Russian navy minesweeper ship, the Vice-Admiral Zakharin, going in the direction of the Sea of Azov.

This comes a day after Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko issued provocative statements during a televised interview on Tuesday that his country is "under threat of full-scale war with Russia" while seeking to justify martial law.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would almost be willing to bet real money, that this development is not mentioned in the news of the Corporate Presstitutes; in fact, I would suggest that they are attempting to suppress the story the best they can.

It is quarter of 9 here on Oahu; I will be looking at what the 9 AM feed on Faux News looks like.

But if they are not doing the story, that would definitely suggest that their Corporate masters have told them not to say a word on this, until they have figured out how to "sell" a potentially coming war with the US, Ukraine and NATO on one side, and Russia and China on the other.

Putin: "We Aren't Aiming To Ditch The Dollar, The Dollar Is Ditching Us"

With a number of volatile trends in multiple conflict theaters and geopolitical hot spots now coming to a head this week (Ukraine-Russia, China-US, Iran-US, Turkey-Syria-Russia, Saudi Arabia-Europe), and with Presidents Putin and Trump set to meet at the G20 summit in Argentina in just days, Putin has again signaled Russia will move away from the U.S. dollar.

Speaking before the VTB Capital forum in Moscow on Wednesday, Putin wryly explained that by implementing sanctions on Russia and other countries Washington is effectively "shooting itself not in the foot but a bit higher”.

He said, according to Bloomberg, "We aren't aiming to ditch the dollar. The dollar is ditching us." Making the case that aggressive US punitive measures against its rivals is undermining confidence in the dollar, Putin explained:

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ukraine Provocation in the Black Sea Directed against Russia. Was it a Staged Event?

Ukraine is a virtual US colony – the way it’s been since the Obama regime’s February 2014 coup, replacing democratic governance with fascist tyranny in Europe’s heartland.

Ukraine shares a near-1,500 mile land and sea border with the Russian Federation, the longest Western frontier with the country.

The regime running things is a hotbed of militarized extremism, waging war on its own people, committing appalling human rights abuses – with full support and encouragement from Washington and key NATO countries.

Stop NATO’s Rick Rozoff earlier explained that Ukraine is “the decisive linchpin in plans by the US and its NATO allies to effect a military cordon sanitaire, severing Russia from Europe” – part of a sinister plot, risking East/West confrontation.

Vladimir Putin earlier said

“(t)he appearance on our borders of a powerful military bloc…will be considered by Russia as a direct threat to our country’s security,” adding:

Webmaster's Commentary:

This could potentially get very ugly, and very quickly; demonization of a country, coupled with sanctions against it, are usually a prelude to war.

A Big Step for a Greater Israel. Trump’s New Position on Syria’s Golan Heights

Since 1973, America’s policy has been to demand Israel relinquish Golan while quietly allowing US tax deductible funds to expand Jewish settlements on the plateau. Israel even reportedly offered to return Golan in exchange for a peace deal with Syria, but the secret terms of the deal were too onerous for Damascus.

The Trump administration abruptly changed US Mideast policy. First, it announced the US Embassy would move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, meaning that it rejected the idea of a Palestinian state with its capital in the old city of Jerusalem. Now, the White House has quietly accepted permanent Israeli control of Golan, though it violates international law and past US policy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears that the Mantra around the White House, Pentagon, and State Department is: "perpetual war!"

And BTW, don't get too shocked if you see the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika reposition the draft, for all these wars.

Trump Blocks CIA Chief Haspel From Testifying About Khashoggi’s Murder

Since Saudi crown prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS) (allegedly) ordered the brutal murder of Jamal Khashoggi on October 2, White House strategy about the incident has been coverup, denial, and changing the subject.

Trump and regime hardliners want nothing interfering with longstanding US dirty business as usual with Saudi Arabia.

On Wednesday, Mike Pompeo and James Mattis will testify in closed door session before Senate Foreign Relations Committee members on Khashoggi’s murder and endless (US, UK, French, Israeli, Saudi, UAE) war in Yemen.

Today’s testimony comes ahead of an upcoming Senate vote up or down on whether to suspend US arms sales to the kingdom – clearly what won’t be congressionally approved longterm, if at all. Nor will Trump regime hardliners accept changes to US/Saudi relations.

CIA chief Gina Haspel heard damning audio evidence of Khashoggi’s murder, provided by Turkish intelligence.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This administration is turning out to be no better than any of its predecessors in recent history; it continues to lie to the American people; it tortures, and outsources torture; it is involved with, and aids and abets our geopolitical friends by enabling wars inside Yemen and Syria, Africa, and God know knows where else.

Its actions, or should one say, ... inactions against Saudi Arabia, regarding the murdered journalist Khoshoggi, loudly trumpet that assassinations are perfectly fine, as long as the flow of money from Saudi Arabia into the coffers of American weapons makers.

Trump Tries to Play ‘Cowboys and Indians’ with International Treaties Signed with Native American Tribes

Donald Trump is attempting to do something that no previous recent president of the United States has attempted. Trump is trying to abrogate longstanding legal international treaties signed by some of his predecessors with sovereign Native American tribes. The Trump administration is using a requirement that Medicaid recipients work in return for health benefits to deny Native American tribes the right to govern themselves as sovereign entities. The Trump administration is denying an exemption for the work requirement for tribal nations by reclassifying Native Americans as a racial group subject to federal law, not as separate sovereign nations bound by distinct tribal laws.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This... is just insanely insulting to our First People, but damn near a criminal act by this administration.

President Trump, shame on you.

Gaza’s only grand piano, a gift from Japan, reappears in public

The only grand piano in the Gaza Strip was played in public for the first time in a decade, following a complicated international restoration effort to fix the instrument after it was nearly destroyed in an Israeli airstrike.

Some 300 fans attended the performance on Sunday, staring in awed silence as Japanese and local artists performed for them. For many, it was the first time they had ever heard a piano performed live.

“Playing this piano is feeling like playing history,” said Japanese pianist Kaoru Imahigashi. “It’s amazing. I felt the prayer of peace for many people.”

The piano’s story goes back many years, mirroring in many ways the story of Gaza.

The Japanese government donated the piano some 20 years ago, following interim peace accords between Israel and the Palestinians. An ensuing Israeli-Egyptian blockade, meant to weaken Hamas, and severe damage after a three-week war with Israel in January 2009 closed the resort altogether.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bless you, Japanese International Cooperation Agency!!

This very much reminds me of a video you should see, titled "Tuning with the Enemy."

It features Ben Treuhaft, a tuner from California, who episodically brought acoustic pianos over to Cuba, for young, amazing students to play, plus a cadre of 25 other tuners.

You would not believe the utter ration of excrement the State Department gave this guy, for a truly humanitarian act, although no charges were ever filed against him.

But as he made his journeys around the island, he had discovered that a lot of kids, playing existing pianos, could never get the sound they were supposed to out of them, because they had been eaten by termites; hence, it became his passion for getting these pianos delivered.

But talk about a champion of keyboard music, and the tough way he had to get these new pianos to these kids; bravo, and well-done, Ben!!

The Art of the Lie

On the other side of the coin, you should always keep in mind that it’s just as important for you to have the courage to speak the truth when all about you are lying their heads off (aka “group lying” or just plain groupthink). This isn’t just a moral choice. It’s also a rationally selfish choice, because what it gives you is a clear mind coupled with dignity, two commodities that professional liars can never hope to acquire.

US Military Says It Can’t Take Out Remaining ISIS Fighters Because They’re Hiding In Tunnels

As 2018 draws to a close, it is unclear if U.S. troops and their Arab-Kurdish allies have made a dent in ISIS’ last stronghold in Syria.

A spokesman for U.S. military operations in Iraq and Syria estimated in December 2017 that fewer than 3,000 ISIS fighters remained in both countries. Since then, defense officials have said consistently that roughly 2,000 ISIS fighters are trapped in Syria’s Middle Euphrates River Valley.

Army Col. Sean Ryan, a spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve, repeated the 2,000 figure when briefing reporters on Tuesday. However, it is difficult to determine exactly how many ISIS fighters remain in their last enclave in Syria because they are dug in deeply and the terrain is difficult for combat operations, he said.

“The numbers game is difficult to count because ISIS is underground – they’re in tunnels; they’re hiding,” Ryan said. “So it’s not like we watch them walk into to a building and we’re counting as they go in. They’re spread apart.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This response, is Orwellian double-speak, writ large.

IF the US military knows where these tunnels are, why do they not then blow them up?!?

Perhaps because they want to "save and groom" these US-funded and equipped forces to fight another day?!?

Libyan Parliament adopts amendment that divides the country into three constituencies

A spokesman for the House of Representatives of Libya, Abdullah Blihaq, announced that the parliament approved on Monday, an amendment to the constitutional declaration (interim constitution since 2011), which divides the country into three constituencies rather than one. Blihaq said in a statement published on the official website of the Parliament that “The parliament resumed its official session on Monday under the chairmanship of its president, Aguila Saleh, in the presence of First Deputy Fawzi Al-Nuwairi and the second deputy, Ahmed Huma.”

He added that “a constitutional amendment was approved, including the fortification of Article VI, of the referendum law on the permanent constitution of the country, under which Libya is divided into three constituencies.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but how is Libya going to be made more "stable", by whittling it into smaller principalities?!? And how will those principalities interact?!?

I don't know if this resolution is going to create more stability in Libya, or create more of a trend turning completely toward more civil war.

Yes, You Have the Right To Talk Back to the Government

The American dream was built on the idea that no one is above the law, that our rights are inalienable and cannot be taken away, and that our government and its appointed agents exist to serve us. It may be that things are too far gone to save, but still we must try.

Will the Trump administration make occupied Golan part of ‘deal of the century’?

Over the past seven years, the extreme right-wing Israeli government has sought to exploit the Syrian crisis in order to legalise its annexation of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights (occupied on 14 November 1981). Its diplomacy and lobbying efforts continued in Washington and international capitals to gain recognition by the international community of its expansion, but it did not succeed to do so, and the entire world has recognised Golan as being Syrian, through successive resolutions issued by the Security Council and the General Assembly, and other international forums.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I a betting woman, I would not bet against this happening.

Exclusive: The Pentagon’s Massive Accounting Fraud ExposedHow US military spending keeps rising even as the Pentagon flunks its audit.

n November 15, Ernst & Young and other private firms that were hired to audit the Pentagon announced that they could not complete the job. Congress had ordered an independent audit of the Department of Defense, the government’s largest single cost center—the Pentagon receives two of every three federal tax dollars collected—after the Pentagon failed for decades to audit itself. The firms concluded, however, that the DoD’s financial records were riddled with so many bookkeeping deficiencies, irregularities, and errors that a reliable audit was simply impossible.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This .... is absoflippinglutely unbelievable.

But I will add one caveat here: expect this accountability to be solved.... when pigs discover they are aerodynamic.

Welcome to the Saudi Arabia First Campaign

The United States must operate in a world filled with ugly, brutal, and authoritarian regimes; but that doesn't mean it needs to cower to their whims.

resident Donald Trump doesn’t understand his chief responsibility as president. It is not to make deals and create jobs. It is to protect the security and liberty of Americans. By that standard, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is not a “truly spectacular ally,” as he claimed.

Ukraine’s President Warns of Threat of ‘Full-Scale War’ With Russia

Since the 2014 Ukrainian revolution, top Ukrainian politicians have talked up the threat of an imminent, full-scale war in Russia. Years later, this continues to get raised every time a tense moment with Russia erupts.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is now citing Sunday’s maritime incident in the Sea of Azov, and says “Ukraine is under threat of full-scale war with Russia,” claiming Russia had massively increased the number of troops and tanks on their border.

He claims to have intelligence reports on the military buildup, but offered no details. It would be strange for Russia to precipitously escalate their presence at the border, given Ukraine is much weaker militarily, and the eastern border includes an ethnic Russian separatist region of Ukraine.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Since he came to power in 2014, Poroshenko has always been screaming about an imminent Russian invasion; and of course, it hasn't happened to date.

And again, in his leitmotif about being "under threat", there is utterly no proof of that being the case.

This, truly, is "the boy who cried wolf" once too often.

Trump’s Saudi First Foreign Policy Strikes Again

Originally appeared on The American Conservative.

The Trump administration bows before the Saudis once more over the war on Yemen:

The US has “slammed the brakes on” a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for a limited ceasefire and increased humanitarian aid in Yemen over concerns about angering Saudi Arabia, two sources tell CNN.

One source familiar with the negotiations over the resolution tells CNN the US “has slammed the brakes on,” saying that “we can’t support a resolution at the moment.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This absolutely disgusts me, as it should every thinking American.
And I can tell you, very clearly, why US negotiators "cannot support a resolution at this time."

But in coming up with an answer, I have to ask myself, and our readers, just what has happened to the soul, and spirit, of this country, that the Unhinged, Surveilled State of America, since President Obama was in office, choosing to abet and enable Saudi war crimes in Yemen?!?

And at what moral price do we allow this to continue?!?

It is because, once again, the Butcher of Yemen, Crown Prince Bin Salman, and his American Merchant of Death in Chief, President Trump, are hunkering down, and scurrying away from any meaningful dialogue which could end this genocide.

From the Butcher'standpoint, obviously, not enough Yemeni babies, women, children, and the medically fragile murdered, or maimed for life yet. THIS is what this genocide looks like from

And for our Merchant of Death in Chief, not nearly enough American weapons have bee sold yet, and he would probably love to see this conflict go on for years, adding to the bottom line of the US's military industrial complex.

Now, we do have the following story, datelined yesterday:

Exclusive: 50+ experts and former officials urge the Senate to end US role in Yemen war

But I seriously doubt that this will put a crimp in both President Trump's or the Butcher of Yemen's war-time vision to leave a plague of death, disease, and destruction, and declare "victory" (whatever that means).

Trump and Xi to Meet for Dinner Saturday in Pivotal Moment for Trade War

President Donald Trump and China’s Xi Jinping will meet over dinner Saturday evening in Buenos Aires marking a pivotal moment in the escalating trade war between the world’s two largest economies.

Trump is hopeful for a breakthrough with Xi but is ready to impose more tariffs if the upcoming talks don’t yield progress, Larry Kudlow, Trump’s top economic adviser, told reporters Tuesday during a briefing ahead of the Group of 20 meeting in Argentina.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Fingers crossed that this one-on-one will start to ratchet down tensions here; both leaders have a lot at stake with their people at home, if these talks go "mammary glands north".

Trump May Not Have Meeting With Putin at G20 Over Kerch Strait Incident

US President Donald Trump said in an interview that he may cancel his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the upcoming G20 over the Kerch Strait incident.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, you are thoroughly and entirely wrong, and behaving in a wretchedly child-like manner, not to meet Putin because of this incident; in fact, you two gentlemen need to be meeting and speaking far more frequently than I fear you do.

And on top of Porochenko's statement about the incident, he said that NATO had a complete and clear understanding of what was going to happen; that means that the US' s High Command attache to NATO.... also knew.

In this incident, from everything I have read, the Russia Navy Vessel was absolutely in the right, and it was the Ukrainians who were in the wrong, in terms of establish Maritime law.

You need, sir, to look closely at these articles, to understand what was really going on here:

Ukrainian boats had intelligence agents on board.

Ukraine provokes Russia; to what end?!?

And here'a another interesting twist, from radiofreeeurope.com:

Ukrainians to consider martial law proposal after russia opens fire on ships in Black Sea

And here is one tidbit which the other articles I have read, didn't say:
"Lawmakers also stated that the next presidential election in Ukraine will take place on March 31, 2019."

Stating.... is not a constitutional vote, even for the Ukrainian parliament, which will have to vote its approval formally

And Mr. President, in case none of your "advisors" have "advised" you on this; Ukrainian national elections are supposed to take place on 30 March 2019. By declaring Martial Law, the approval for the election cannot get held by the necessary deadline, 21 December, by Ukraine's Parliament, meaning: the Ukrainian election will be postponed, as Poroshenko is in "deep kim chee" (sorry, a heap of trouble), and it does not look as though, right now, that he would be re-elected.

Timing of any "geopolitical outrage" always has something against which the creator of that outrage wants people to ignore, as in the "misdirection" magicians use in magic; this time, it is the postponement of the Ukrainian election, as Poroshenko understands that he is in no position to win, even with a massive ballot stuffing campaign.
