Greenpeace releases confidential IAEA Fukushima-Daiichi accident report

Greenpeace has received a copy of the report and we made it public last week. We've also conducted an initial analysis of the report and our findings are not good.

Yukiya Amano, the IAEA Director General says the report is 'an authoritative, factual and balanced assessment, addressing the causes and consequences of the accident, as well as lessons learned.'

Yet our experts find it to be full of inaccuracies, uncertainties, and that it fails to address several highly important issues.

Faulty Design of the Proposed British Nuclear Reactors in Cumbria – Arnie Gundersen

‘Able Seaman William McNeilly released a lengthy dossier on the internet earlier this month in which he said Britain’s Trident nuclear defence system was vulnerable to its enemies and to potentially devastating accidents because of safety failures.

But – in the mainstream – only the Independent and Japan Times covered news of another hazard, described by Arnie Gundersen, who was invited to speak at the House of Commons on March 11. He addressed the current status of Fukushima Daiichi four years after nuclear meltdown began in 2011, and presented his expert assessment of nuclear risk in regards to the proposed construction of three AP1000 reactors in Cumbria, England.

Japan asks globalist trade organization to force South Koreans to eat radioactive Fukushima food

A number of countries are beginning to require Japan to place region-of-origin labeling on its food products to ensure that anything coming from the radiation-infested regions surrounding the damaged Fukushima nuclear power plant are adequately screened for contamination. The decisions by countries such as Taiwan and South Korea have angered Japanese officials, who are turning to the globalist World Trade Organization to force the countries to abolish their protective regulations.

Report: U.S. cyberattack on N. Korea nuke program failed

The United States tried but failed to sabotage North Korea's nuclear weapons program with a computer virus in 2010, Reuters reported Friday.

The cyber attack came at the same time the Stuxnet virus was disrupting Iran's uranium-enrichment efforts, according to sources familiar with the stealth effort. Stuxnet was reportedly created by the United States and Israel.

The North Korea attack involved a Stuxnet variant that was designed to activate "when it encountered Korean-language settings on an infected machine," Reuters writes. But U.S. agents were never able to install the malware on the computers controlling Pyongyang's nuclear program.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is cause to suspect that Stuxnet exacerbated the Fukushima disaster by crippling emergency systems using the targeted Siemens' controllers. And despite the danger, the US went ahead and tried again with North Korea's nuclear weapons!

World Trade Organization to force Taiwanese citizens to eat radioactive food from Fukushima

Japan could turn to the globalist World Trade Organization to force Taiwan to import seafood and other products that might be tainted with radiation from the Fukushima nuclear power plant disaster.

In recent days, the government of Taiwan began imposing stricter rules on inspecting food products imported from Japan that might have originated from areas exposed to radioactive fallout from the crippled plant. That prompted the Japanese government to warn that it could call on the WTO for a trade ruling unless Taiwan eases up on its restrictions.

Unprecedented Mass Die Offs as Pacific Ocean "Turning Into a Desert" Off California Coast

The ocean is dying, by all accounts – and if so, the food supply along with it.

A startling new report says in no uncertain terms that the Pacific Ocean off the California coast is turning into a desert. Once full of life, it is now becoming barren, and marine mammals, seabirds and fish are starving as a result.

The waters of the Pacific off the coast of California are a clear, shimmering blue today, so transparent it’s possible to see the sandy bottom below […] clear water is a sign that the ocean is turning into a desert, and the chain reaction that causes that bitter clarity is perhaps most obvious on the beaches of the Golden State, where thousands of emaciated sea lion pups are stranded.

But that's just the beginning...

Trident whistleblower: nuclear 'disaster waiting to happen'

Mr McNeilly, who has been in communications with WikiLeaks since the beginning of May, has decided he wants to go public about the detailed nuclear safety problems he says he has been "gathering for over a year".

"This is bigger than me, it’s bigger than all of us. We are so close to a nuclear disaster it is shocking, and yet everybody is accepting the risk to the public."

The only man in Fukushima sacrifices himself for radioactive animals

The Fukushima nuclear disaster that took place several years ago made all the residents leave a 12.5-mile radioactive zone. The animals though have not been evacuated.
55-year-old Naoto Matsumura, a fifth-generation rice farmer from Fukushima thought back to all the animals he'd left behind on his farm home.
Despite strict orders from the Japanese government, he made his way back to Fukushima in order to check up on his family's dogs, being fully aware of the risk this endeavour posed. When he got to the farm, Naoto witnessed something he was not ready for.

TEPCO Admits Fukushima Is Leaking Again - Over 600x 'Safe' Radiation Levels

Having killed a robot by underestimating the level of radiation present in the Fukushima power plant, and after delaying its previous admission of a leak, Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) has quickly admitted that the nuclear plant has sprung another leak. As EFE reports, a small quantity of radioactive water has leaked from a storage tank with 70 microsieverts per hour of beta-ray-emitting radioactivity detected on the surface where the water had leaked, far exceeding the recommended maximum exposure of 0.11 microsieverts per hour.

Chernobyl fire: Kiev claims no radiation threat, experts ring alarm bells

But not everyone’s doubts have been dispelled. Greenpeace and a host of experts in the field are ringing alarm bells: “The amount of radioactivity potentially released from wildfires could be the equivalent of a major nuclear accident,” it told Govorit Moskva radio shortly after the situation became started. The potential danger in this fire comes from the radioactive contaminants the burning plants have absorbed, ecologist Christopher Busby told RT.

“Some of the materials that were contaminating that area would have been incorporated into the woods. In other words, they land on the ground in 1986 and they get absorbed into the trees and all the biosphere. And when it burns, they just become re-suspended. It's like Chernobyl all over again." Busby is the scientific secretary of the European Committee on Radiation Risks.

Firefighters battle forest blaze in radioactive Chernobyl zone

Ukrainian firefighters reportedly managed to contain a massive forest fire close to the abandoned Chernobyl nuclear power plant on Wednesday. Massive fires engulfed the woods around the facility on Tuesday. The zone is heavily contaminated by radiation after the world’s worst man-made nuclear disaster in 1986.

Chernobyl’s Radioactive Forest Fire. [April 29, 2015] – Location on map, Wind & Radiation Monitoring links

RT: How dangerous is the situation in your opinion? Do you agree with ecologists who say the smoke will spread the radiation John Large: […] It is not the reactor, it is not the location of the reactor that is the problem – it is the dispersal plumes from the original accident – that is the problem. If there are radioactive materials on the ground now and then it’s engulfed by forest fire maybe 40-50 km away from the reactor. But that deposited radioactivity is re-suspended into gas, blown high into the atmosphere by the heat of the flames, and then of course it settles somewhere else.
