Israel's deliberate targeting of Palestinian children war crime, says PLO official

A senior member of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) has strongly condemned an Israeli airstrike near the eastern border of the Gaza Strip, which left three Palestinian children dead, describing it as an “ongoing war crime.”

“The occupying Israeli army has been deliberately targeting and killing Palestinian children. This is a clear war crime in violation of international law and international humanitarian law,” Hanan Ashrawi, a member of the PLO's executive committee, said on Monday.

“Israel's continuous campaign of excessive and indiscriminate violence against the people of Gaza has persisted with impunity and has been emboldened by the US administration's strategic alliance with Israel,” she added.

PLO Suspends Recognition of Israel, Withdraws From Oslo Accord

The Central Council of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) has moved to fully withdraw from the Oslo Accord on Monday, announcing that they are ending their commitment to the deal, and halting all security coordination with Israel.

Halting security cooperation with Israel is a huge move, and it also comes with an announcement that the PLO will withhold recognition of the State of Israel, until such time as Israel agrees to recognize the State of Palestine.

The 1993 Oslo Accord was intended to increase cooperation during a brief transition period leading to Palestinian statehood. With Israel’s far-right leadership having long insisted that the Palestinians will never have an independent state, many in the PLO have argued that security cooperation was just making the permanent Israeli occupation cheaper and giving them legal cover to do things in violation of international law in the occupied territories.

Israeli warplanes violate Lebanon's airspace

Israeli warplanes have kept violating Lebanon's airspace in the past few months, prompting Lebanese President Michel Aoun to call on the United States to pressure Israel to stop such practices.

Caretaker Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil said earlier that Israel has violated Lebanon's airspace, land and sea more than 1,500 times in the past eight months.

Israel sentences hunger-striking Palestinian prisoner to jail

Head of the legal unit at the PPC, lawyer Jawad Polis said that the Israeli occupation accused Adnan of affiliation to a banned organisation, offering services to them and planning a Palestinian resistance attack.

Adnan’s wife said that the ruling is a “new victory” for him as it came to a result of his open-ended hunger strike which has been ongoing for 58 days and was launched in response to the occupation forces holding Adnan without charge or trial.

Israel kills children and protester despite ceasefire

Israeli occupation forces killed a Palestinian protester in Gaza on Monday, one day after killing three children in an airstrike.

Muhammad Abd al-Hay Abu Ubada, 27, was fatally shot during a naval march in protest of Israel’s air, sea and land blockade on Gaza, approaching its 12th year.

Eighty others were injured during the protests, including 15 wounded by live fire. Seven medical workers, including volunteer paramedics, were injured by live fire and tear gas, according to Gaza’s health ministry.

Pittsburgh Shooting: Evidence of False Flag Fakery Surfaces

Following my article on the Pittsburgh Synagogue shooting and how there was a drill held in the same area 9 months earlier, I received some very important evidence from a reader. This evidence is in the form of a recording of the police radio traffic in the area during the alleged shooting. It makes intriguing listening as it contains anomalies that are perhaps best explained in the context of this having been a fake false flag event. Thankyou to our vigilant reader and to anyone else who spots something noteworthy about this event, send it to us at VT and we will put it to good use.

Oct 30 09:06

Why aren't we calling the Pittsburgh shooting 'terrorism'?

Perhaps the path to end terrorism begins with abandoning it as a term we selectively deploy and actively distort.

A white gunman walks into a synagogue outside of Pittsburgh and guns down 11 congregants after screaming, "All Jews must die!" during Sabbath services. Another self-identifying white male sends a string of "mail bombs" to democratic leaders and journalists from his hometown in Florida, emboldened by nativist fervour and presidential rhetoric. "Whites don't shoot whites," reveals another gunman, amid a racially motivated shooting outside of a Kentucky grocery store that left two elderly Black customers dead.

Three separate incidents, in different parts of the United States, in three consecutive days - all inspired by racial or religious bigotry that drove the culprits to claim the lives of people they hated, or attempt to assassinate people they deemed the enemy.
***
All three incidents had the touchstone elements of terrorism present: (1) an act of violence that is (2) inspired or prompted by a specific ideology. Although the US government does not adopt a uniform definition of terrorism, and competing definitions of the term are often debated, these two elements are present in almost every one.

SYRIAN WAR REPORT – OCTOBER 30, 2018: MSM REPORTS ABOUT MYSTERIOUS ISRAELI AIRSTRIKES GO WILD

While these reports seem fascinating for supporters of Israeli actions in Syria, the problem is that no evidence exists to confirm such claims. Syrian military and local sources describe the Israeli claims as an example of fake news designed to save the face of the IDF.

It is interesting to note that the comment of the “anonymous source” to Reuters came less than an hour after the Russian news agency Sputnik had released a short interview with former Israeli deputy chief of staff and ex-head of the National Security Council Gen. Uzi Dayan. The general said that the Israeli Air Force would feel no difference even if Syria employs Russia-supplied S-300 systems and claimed Israeli warplanes would eliminate the air-defense systems stating “these weapons do not have any immunity”. This is another sign of the pre-planned PR trick.

PITTSBURGH SHOOTING: Trump May Be Many Things, But An Antisemite He Is Not!

During my .. brief awokenness this afternoon, I happened to peruse the newspaper. And what did I see? Pieces commenting on the recent attack at a synagogue in Pittsburgh. This is, of course, to be expected. But what was *not*, like *at all* to be expected, was the escalating level of accusations in relation to the attack that Donald Trump… is apparently an anti-semite.
I mean … this is ludicrous. Like, I am not wild about many of the things the President has done either inside or outside of office (more on that in a moment), but it just seems straight-up counterfactual to level s uch a charge at him.

Israel Sells $250Mln Worth of Cutting Edge Spy Systems to Saudi Arabia

Tel Aviv hasn’t confirmed the reports, nor has the Gulf kingdom, which doesn’t have official diplomatic ties with the Jewish state.

Saudi Arabia and Israel held covert meetings “in Washington and London,” which resulted in an estimated $250 million deal, including the transfer of Israeli espionage technologies to the kingdom, Israeli media reported on Sunday, citing an exclusive report by the United Arab Emirate news website Al-Khaleej.

The report has it that a number of the said spy systems, the most advanced ones that Israel has ever sold to any Arab state, have already been successfully deployed to Saudi Arabia and put into practice, with Saudi technicians having previously received professional training in how to operate them. Neither side to the alleged deal has confirmed the information.

Last Saturday we heard the disturbing news of a gun attack on a synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that left eleven people dead. Today I was surprised to find out that some in Pennsylvania had seen it coming. The following 2017 Israeli TV video tells the story of Cherev Gideon, an IDF like Jewish militia operating in Pennsylvania that trains American Jews to “shoot the Israeli Style.”

“The Second Amendment provides us with the right to bear arms.” Cherev Gidon’s site says, “however it does not provide us with the knowledge of how to safely and professionally respond to a threat.” According to Israeli TV, Cherev Gideon’s goal is for “every synagogue to have an armed Jew ready to defend it.”

ISRAELI FORCES LAUNCH 87 OVERNIGHT AIRSTRIKES AGAINST GAZA STRIP

The Israeli army carried out scores of air strikes across the besieged Gaza Strip in the early hours of Saturday, in the highest-intensity offensive on the coastal Palestinian territory since the summer.

The Israeli army launched at least 87 air strikes, Israeli news outlet Ynet reported, saying it was in response to some 34 rockets fired from the enclave into southern Israel.

Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the rockets, saying in a statement that they were in retaliation for the Israeli army’s killing of five Palestinian protesters on Friday.

“The resistance will not accept the equation imposed by the enemy on the basis of killing on their part and silence on our part,” the group said in a statement.

Following the exchanges, Islamic Jihad’s media office announced on Saturday morning that it had accepted an Egypt-mediated ceasefire with Israel.

Family of 11 homeless, as Israel settlers take Palestinian house in Jerusalem

Israeli settlers took over a Palestinian house this noon in Silwan after Israeli occupation officers forced the Palestinian inhabitants out using gunfire.

Occupation forces emptied the house before handing it to the settlers’ organisation Ateret Cohanim.

The property is part of a building of five floors located in the Batn Al-Hawa neighbourhood of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the rest of the building has been occupied by settlers since 2015.

Jawad Abu Snaineh had rented the house and lived there for years with his family which is made up of 11 members, they have been left homeless as a result.

Israel approves building 20,000 settlement units in West Bank

Israel on Thursday approved the construction of 470 new settlement units in the illegal Israeli Jewish settlement of Ma’ale Adumim and is to approve 20,000 more units, Israel Hayom revealed.

The illegal settlement is located in the occupied Palestinian West Bank, close to the occupied holy city of Jerusalem.

According to the Israeli newspaper, “the comprehensive agreement, signed by the Construction and Housing Ministry Yoav Gallant and the Ma’ale Adumim municipality, permits construction to begin on 470 units that have already been given government approval.”

It also noted that an additional 20,000 units are to be built in the same settlement.

Israel evades demands to end the Gaza protests and reach a truce

Despite Palestinian attempts to calm the Great March of Return, Israeli occupation snipers stationed along the eastern fence of the besieged Gaza Strip escalated their crackdown on the protesters this weekend. During the 31st Friday of the Great March, Israel killed six Palestinians and wounded more than 230 others, including around 30 children and four paramedics.

Following this violent crackdown, Israeli fighter jets began the widest wave of airstrikes since August. Though there were no reports of human casualties, the heavy attacks caused severe damage to the Indonesian Hospital in the south of the Gaza Strip. Four major security service headquarters across the coastal enclave were also damaged, as well as several military bases belonging to the Palestinian resistance movement.

Palestinian Human Rights Organisations Submit File to ICC Prosecutor: Investigate and Prosecute Pillage, Appropriation and Destruction of Palestinian Natural Resources

Today, on 26 October 2018, Al-Haq, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) submitted a 500-page file on alleged crimes committed by Israelis, in particular high-level Israeli officials, and individuals associated with corporations that are extracting and destroying Palestinian natural resources.

The organisations provide a reasonable basis to believe that Israelis and private actors have committed the war crimes of extensive destruction and appropriation of property, pillage, and destruction and seizure of property.

The confidential communication provides factual information and legal analysis on the exploitation and destruction of Palestinian water, agricultural land, minerals, mud, stone, and oil.

Israeli Forces Open Fire on Gaza Farmers

Israeli occupation forces, on Sunday morning, opened fire at Palestinian farmers in the northern Gaza strip.

Local PNN sources said that Israeli soldiers opened fire on farmers in the town of Beit Hanoun, injuring one of them

Ma’an sources confirmed that one farmer was injured by Israeli forces and transferred to the Beit Hanoun Hospital to receive necessary medical treatment.

The medical condition of the injured Palestinian remained unknown.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces also opened fire at farmers, east of the al-Maghazi refugee camp, in central Gaza.

The farmers were forced to leave their lands in fear for their lives.
No injuries were reported from the incident.

The Israeli army regularly detains and opens fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen, shepherds and farmers along the border areas if they approach the unilaterally declared buffer zone.

The Israeli government is exploiting the Pittsburgh murders to try to demonize Palestine solidarity

Yesterday during an interview on MSNBC, Ron Dermer, the Israeli Ambassador to the United States, placed the blame for the attack on both white supremacists and the “radical left,” which is clearly code for BDS activists.

Dermer said:

“One of the big forces in college campuses today is anti-Semitism. And those anti-Semites are usually not neo-Nazis, on college campuses. They’re coming from the radical left. We have to stand against anti-Semitism whether it comes from the right or whether it comes from the left.”

This is a disgusting lie. But it is part and parcel with the recent push by the Israeli government and its supporters in the West to redefine the meaning of antisemitism to include criticism of Israel.

Since he assumed office last month, this is Alvi's first foreign visit following an invitation from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Israeli journalist Avi Scharf tweeted on Thursday that a private Israeli business jet had flown to Islamabad from Tel Aviv and remained in the Pakistani capital for nearly 10 hours, fueling media speculation. Several Pakistani ministers and the Civil Aviation Authority denied the report.

Three Palestinian teenagers killed by Israeli drone strike as tensions mount on Gaza strip

An Israeli drone strike has killed three Palestinian teenagers near the border fence between Gaza and Israel, as tensions reached breaking point following a tense weekend of cross border fire.

The Gaza health ministry said the boys, whose bodies were found 200 metres from the fence on Sunday, were aged just 13 and 14 years old.

The Israeli military said the trio they “were apparently involved in placing an improvised explosive device" near the border in the southern part of the enclave.

On Monday Aisha Abu Dhabi, mother of 14-year-old Abdel-Hamid, who was one of the three boys killed, denied the accusations, and said he had “nothing to do with the resistance". The funerals for the slain teenagers were held in central Gaza on Monday.

Flashback: Machinations of the Anti-Defamation League

I was in politics for fifteen years, and I think you should start with the assumption: never trust a politician ... When people finally learn the truth, they turn against those who have been lying to them. And I think that if the movement of which you people are the cutting edge can retain dispassion in the face of outrages, setbacks and humiliations, the truth can ultimately prevail. You are doing something worse than criticizing the government of the United States; you're threatening the security of the state of Israel. And the Jewish community is dedicated to preserve that state, and to destroy those who speak against it. Good luck!

The ADL in American Society

In our modern era, there are surely few organizations that so terrify powerful Americans as the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) of B'nai B'rith, a central organ of the organized Jewish community ... In effect, the ADL seems to have long operated as our country's privatized secret political police, monitoring and enforcing its ideological doctrines on behalf of Jewish groups much as the Stasi did for the Communist rulers of East Germany ... Once I began reading the 500 pages of The Leo Frank Case: The Lynching of a Guilty Man I was tremendously impressed by the quality of the historical analysis ... The case they [the authors] made for Frank's guilt seemed absolutely overwhelming.

Peer sparks fury by posting Facebook message appearing to blame Israel's policies for fuelling anti-Semitism which led to Pittsburgh massacre

Responding to the bloody atrocity, Baroness Jenny Tonge posted a message on Facebook saying the policies of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu - known as 'Bibi' - is fuelling the anti-Semitism which led to the massacre.

Her remark was branded 'abhorrent' by Jewish leaders and campaigners who furiously demanded she is stripped of her peerage.

The peer wrote on Facebook: 'Absolutely appalling and criminal act, but does it ever occur to Bibi and the present Israeli government that its actions against Palestinians may be reigniting anti-Semitism?

Canary Mission Dumped By Diller Foundation, But Critics Say It Doesn’t Go Far Enough

One of the U.S. charities that the Forward exposed as a funder of the online blacklist Canary Mission is trying to distance itself from the website, but alumni of its teen program say it isn’t going far enough.

In a letter, senior staff of the Helen Diller Family Foundation acknowledged the foundation’s grant in support Canary Mission, and said it would not be renewed. Yet while the letter condemned “any organizations and ideologies associated with sinat chinam (baseless hatred),” it did not explicitly condemn Canary Mission, nor did it say that the foundation regretted the grant.

Flashback: Truth and Fiction in Elie Wiesel’s “Night”

The trouble here is that in its central, most crucial scene, [Elie Wiesel's book] Night isn't historically true, and at least two other important episodes are almost certainly fiction ... Wiesel made things up, in a way that his many subsequent detractors could identify as not untypical of his modus operandi: grasping with deft assurance what people important to his future would want to hear and, by the same token, would not want to hear ... In Wiesel's eyes, as in the eyes of his disciples, Night assumed a level of sacrosanctity, next in importance to the giving of the Torah at Mt. Sinai ... Although the Nobel committee extolled him as a "messenger to mankind" it is difficult to find examples of Wiesel sending any message on behalf of those victimized by the policies of the United States, and virtually impossible when it comes to victims of Israel.
Note: Wiesel, the proven liar, was honored with a standing ovation by the United States congress.

The White Helmets Ride Again

More interesting perhaps is the tale of the White Helmets, who have just been given the 2019 Elie Wiesel Award by the National Holocaust Museum ... So, the National Holocaust Museum, which is taxpayer funded, has given an apparently prestigious award to a terrorist group, something which could have been discerned with even a little fact checking. And the museum also might have been sensitive to how the White Helmets have been used in support of Israeli propaganda vis-à-vis Syria. Perhaps, while they are at it, the museum's board just might also want to check out Elie Wiesel, for whom the award is named. Wiesel, who was a chronicler of Jewish victimhood while persistently refusing to acknowledge what Israel was doing to the Palestinians, notoriously mixed fact and fiction in his best-selling holocaust memoir Night.

US support for Israel eroding, but not among Trump voters, poll finds

Back in January, I wrote that President Donald Trump’s tight embrace of Israel may accelerate Israel’s loss of support among key segments of the American public.

Now, a new YouGov survey for The Economist confirms that support for Israel aligns more than ever with Trump’s base – a hotbed of right-wing, white nationalist and Christian Zionist views – while eroding among other Americans.

Today, just 37 percent of those surveyed are prepared to describe Israel as an “ally” of the United States – a remarkably low number given the record-setting military aid Israel receives and the constant professions of “unbreakable bonds” between the two countries from American politicians across the political spectrum.

Israel’s covert influence campaigns in the West

All the hype about Russia aside, the special investigation in the US by Robert Mueller has shed light on something concrete: the real story is IsraelGate.

Israel’s covert influence campaigns in Western democracies are manifold.

Israel is attempting to subvert the UK’s elections by running a years-long interference campaign against opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn.

And as Al Jazeera’s film “The Lobby” exposed last year, Israel’s agents in the UK have been attempting to “take down” MPs and ministers in the ruling Conservative Party too – basically anyone in a position of power deemed insufficiently committed to backing Israeli racism.

As revealed in a leaked clip from the censored US follow-up to Al Jazeera’s undercover film, lobby groups in the US with close connections to the state of Israel run deceptive Facebook pages – some of whose content has millions of views – aimed at infiltrating Israeli propaganda into your social media streams.

ISRAEL REJECTS RUSSIAN ‘RESTRICTIONS’ ON ISRAELI STRIKES IN SYRIA: LIBERMAN

Israel is rejecting reported Russian demands that Israel give the Russian military additional warning before carrying out airstrikes in Syria, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman claimed on October 25.

“We will not accept any restrictions on our freedom of operation, and when it comes to national security, we will take action,” the defense minister told Army Radio in an interview.

In an attempt to save the face of the Israeli media, Liberman stated that the Israeli military has carried out more airstrikes on targets in Syria than have been attributed to it by media.

“Just because the media did not report on Syria strikes does not mean there were none,” Liberman said. “I don’t think it’s our duty to report what the army must do. An army needs to act.”

Israeli jets hit 80 targets in Gaza amid rocket fire and protests

Fighter jets attack dozens of sites across the Gaza Strip as fighters fire about 30 rockets into Israel.

Israeli fighter jets struck dozens of sites across the Gaza Strip early on Saturday as fighters fired about 30 rockets into Israel, in the heaviest exchange of fire in several weeks.

The fighting followed a bloody day of border protests, in which Israeli forces shot and killed five Palestinians protesting along the perimeter fence dividing Hamas-ruled Gaza and Israel.

The fighting and bloodshed complicated the mission of Egyptian mediators, who have intensified shuttle diplomacy to achieve calm and prevent a full-blown conflict between Hamas and Israel.

The Israeli military said it had struck about 80 sites across Gaza by early Saturday morning, including a security headquarters building. Air raid sirens sounded throughout the night in southern Israel, with firing some 30 rockets, the military said.

NATION HYPNOTIZED IN HORROR BY TOY BOMBS WHILE KILLING CIVILIANS WITH REAL ONES

And of course it is a good thing that nobody has been hurt by these devices. Obviously targeting anyone with packages containing explosive materials is terrible, even if those devices were not rigged with the intention of detonating and harming anyone, and it is a good thing that not a single one of them has done so. It is a good thing that none of America’s political elites were targeted by the sort of explosive device that America drops on people in other countries every single day.

You know, the kind that actually explode.

Apparently some Acme comedy bombs mailed to a number of extremely rich people, which thankfully did not hurt anybody at all, are infinitely more newsworthy than the real bombs which maim and destroy children in Yemen on an industrial scale.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As a Christian Pacifist Activist, the disconnect the writer of this post sees, looking at what is happening around this world, with the US complicit in so many deaths, in Yemen, Afghanistan, Libya, Niger, Somalia, and Iraq, is utterly and painfully true.

Folks, when people in power in this talk about the "honor", "glory" and "defending the American way of life" as valid descriptions of the wars in which the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika is currently, and about to be, enmeshed, they are lying to you.

Simply put (and this guy was hopelessly wrong about a lot of things),when Karl Marx said that wars are economic in their origin, the man was absolutely, dead-on correct.

The war in Iraq?!? This was done to give the US and Western-centric corporations control over its oil.

The "undeclared war" in Yemen, where the US is enabling Saudi war crimes as I type this?!?

There is an issue that the article misses, in that controlling Yemen means controlling the waterways of Bab El Mandab; The Red Sea, and the Gulf of Aden, all points for moving oil in and out of the region.

The war in Libya?!? This was done to prevent Muammar Gaddafi from issuing a gold-backed currency, the gold dinar, which would have shredded the value of the US dollar in a heartbeat. New Hillary Emails reveal the true motive for Libya intervention.

The war in Afghanistan?!? To control the pipeline rights, rare mineral development, and control of the poppy crops, from which a booming market in illicit heroin is derived.

The coming war against Iran?!? First, this will be done to honor Trump's commitment to both Israel's Prime Minister, Bibi Netanyahu, and his biggest American Supporter, Sheldon Adelson, who has supported the Trump Campaign with millions in overt, and covert funding, and secondly, to force this country to always sell its oil only in US dollars, post-regime change.

Of course, both Netanyahu and Adelson fully expect this war to be fully executed.... only at the costs of only US blood, and US money, not Israeli

Let's take a look at this last issue, shall we?!?

In FY 2018 the federal deficit was $779 billion.

With its desire for more and more wars, with which to enrich the US government financially, we are looking a Federal deficit of almost 780 billion dollars in fiscal 2018; that's a huge number to wrap my head around.

Instead of limiting spending in a reasonable and rational way, the US government appears to be miring the US public in an absolutely unpayable debt structure, from which there is no way out. This falls on the backs of hard-working Americans, who are desperately struggling to keep food on the table, and a roof over their heads. The people creating this unpayable debt have armies of lawyers and accountants on speed-dial, to insure that they get the best break possible with taxes.

Russia and China, which may well come to Iran's aid, should it be invaded, have weaponry the US military can only wet-dream about; sorry for being blunt, but because of their close relationship with both the Pentagon and Congress, and contributing lavishly to the campaigns of politicians on both sides of the aisle, our military industrial complex has been consistently behind the 8 ball, in staying at least two steps ahead of where our international competitors are, in terms of developing lower cost weapons that just... do the job brilliantly.

Please understand; as a Christian pacifist activist, I hate war; but if such a war happens, I want to see our brothers and sisters in uniform equipped with the best, most brilliantly crafted weaponry that actually works as advertised, and beyond.

So, we have a the US government hopelessly indebted to its creditors, and a potential coming world war, where our military doesnt' have the money, the manufacturing, the troop strength, or weaponry to insure a positive outcome in a world war, ultimately against Russia, and China.

This is a potential recipe for a complete, unmitigated disaster for this country, the consequences of which may be both horrific... and irreversible.

And we have a companion piece this morning, from blackistednews.com:

Saudi-led airstrikes hit civilians in Yemen
If We, the People, do nothing, in the most peaceful, logical way possible, to get US involvement in these US-enabled Saudi war crimes in Yemen to stop, then We the People are also, absolutely and unequivocally, complicit in these war crimes as well.

Army Injures Many Schoolchildren In Hebron

Israeli soldiers fired, Thursday, several gas bombs into the Nahda Basic School for Boys, in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, causing dozens of students and teacher to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation, including some students who fainted.

Rawhi az-Zaro, the principal of the school, said the soldiers surrounded the school and fired dozens of gas bombs directly into its campus.

He added that dozens of children and teachers suffered the severe effects of teargas inhalation, including some who fainted, and required urgent treatment.

Az-Zaro stated that the soldiers also fired gas bombs and workers of the Hebron City Council, near the school, causing them to suffer the severe effects of teargas inhalation.

'We made it clear to the US: We will not uproot settlements'

Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely responded in an interview with Arutz Sheva to reports that US President Donald Trump intends to exert pressure on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

"From the first day that this administration came in, we have clarified our red lines regarding negotiations with the Palestinians. I was part of some of these conversations. Settlements is a red line. No Jew will be evacuated from his home. The idea of ??displacement or withdrawal from the territory will not be repeated. In addition, we are a government that opposes the idea of ??a Palestinian state. After [Netanyahu's] Bar-Ilan speech and its ramifications, one can say that the Israeli government is united in its opposition to a Palestinian state. This is an idea that endangers the State of Israel," Hotovely said.

Virginians Oppose Taxpayer Subsidies for Israeli Business Projects

A plurality of Virginians (38.1%) favor ending taxpayer funding for Israeli business ventures in the commonwealth according to a Virginia Coalition for Human Rights (VCHR) poll fielded by Google Surveys.

32.7% of Virginians were neutral about discontinuing subsidies, while 29.2% disagreed. The representative September 22 to October 4 poll of 2,110 Virginians is available online from Google.

VCHR, a coalition of 16 organizations representing over 8,000 Virginians, is concerned unconditional funding for Israeli business projects fails to consider Israel’s worsening human rights record and disengagement from peace efforts. In 2018 Israeli forces have shot, wounded and killed hundreds of mostly unarmed Palestinian protesters.

State Israel advocacy organizations lobbied to create and staff a taxpayer-funded state government office to exclusively promote Israeli business projects called the Virginia-Israel Advisory Board (VIAB) in 1996.

Germany will fight but won’t outlaw BDS, head of Bundestag says

Germany currently has no plans to outlaw the anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions) movement, the speaker of its parliament said Thursday.

“We fight it politically, but we don’t believe that it is fought more successfully through prohibitions,” Bundestag President Wolfgang Schäuble told reporters in Jerusalem.

“We are relatively hesitant regarding prohibitions, since our constitution doesn’t give the parliament much room to enact prohibitions, and rightly so, because we believe that is up to an independent judiciary,” he added.

Israel’s $72m war chest to fight BDS comes to Brussels

In its ongoing battle against the international Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign Israel is pushing for European political parties to declare the movement “fundamentally anti-Semitic”. The latest drive saw Israel’s Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, Ze’ev Elkin, attending a conference in Brussels backed by the Israeli government which proposed a text for prospective MEPs and political parties to sign up to before European elections in May next year.

The text, the Guardian reported, urges European parties to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) “working definition of anti-Semitism” and exclude from government any politicians or parties that breach it.

Most controversially, one of the red lines – based on a resolution adopted by Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union in Germany in 2016 – calls on “all political parties to pass a binding resolution rejecting BDS activities as fundamentally anti-Semitic”.

Israelis urge cutting water supply to Jordan

Jordan announced on Sunday that it will not renew annexes in its 1994 peace treaty with Israel that gave Israel continued control of the Jordanian territories of al-Baqoura and al-Ghamr.

The so-called Wadi Araba agreement normalized relations between the two countries, despite there being no restoration of Palestinian rights or an end to Israeli military occupation of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.

Al-Baqoura, an area in northwest Jordan where the Yarmouk and Jordan rivers meet, and al-Ghamr, an area south of the Dead Sea, were leased to Israel for 25 years.

The two areas, amounting to just a few square miles, are farmed or used by Israelis.

‘A Cruel Choice’: Why Israel Targets Palestinian Schools

What is truly uplifting, however, is that, despite the Israeli military Occupation and ongoing restrictions on Palestinian freedom, the Palestinian population remains one of the most educated in the Middle East.

According to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the literacy rate in Palestine (estimated at 96.3%) is one of the highest in the Middle East and the illiteracy rate (3.7% among individuals over the age of 15) is one of the lowest in the world.

If these statistics are not heartening enough, bearing in mind the ongoing Israeli war on Palestinian school and curricula, consider this: the besieged and war-stricken Gaza Strip has an even higher literacy rate than the West Bank, as they both stand at 96.6% and 96% respectively.

Israel illegal settlement councils receive $39m govt. funding

Israel’s illegal settlements receive 144 million shekels ($39 million) in government funding for regional councils, a new Knesset report has revealed.

The report was undertaken by the Knesset’s Research and Information Centre and disclosed the vast sums of money the Israeli government gives to its illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank across education, welfare and support grants.

The report found that the Israeli government gives $39 million to regional councils located in the occupied West Bank, which amounts to 25 per cent of Israel’s regional council budget, Ynet reported. This is despite the fact that West Bank councils only account for five per cent of all Israeli regional councils.

Israel Invokes Its “Fight for Survival” As It Descends Into a Racist State

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL — Israel’s former Chief Justice Aharon Barak stated in a recent lecture that “what happened in Germany [the rise of the Nazis] can happen here [in Israel].” He went on to say that a regime that does not respect the separation of powers or human rights cannot be called democratic. This statement brought about a swift, furious response via Twitter from Education Minister Naftali Bennet, claiming that what the Judge said was a “total lie” and that it is wrong to compare what he calls “Israel’s fight for survival in its own land” with the Nazi persecution of Jews.

ISRAEL'S DEFENSE CHIEF SAYS "NO CHOICE BUT WAR" AS FORCES BUILD ALONG GAZA BORDER

We reported over the weekend that Israel has mustered its largest build-up of tanks and armored personnel carriers since 2014 at a deployment area along the border with Gaza and that "all-out war" looks inevitable after weeks of heightened tensions with Hamas. This after special UN envoy for the Middle East, Nickolay Mladenov late last week warned the UN Security Council that "we remain on the brink of another potentially devastating conflict."

It now appears Israel is ready to act, as on Monday Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman told Israeli parliament that he's been left with "no choice" but to launch military action against Hamas militants. Last week rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip, with one landing dangerously near the densely populated city of Tel Aviv, and unrest along the border fence has continued largely unabated for months.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I a betting woman, I would bet that the Israeli military will time their assault right around the US mid-terms and the invasion migration will be right at the US borders.

The only kind of "diplomacy" with Hamas of which Israel seems to be capable, is that of killing people dead, in the open air prison which is Gaza.

I have to wonder, how many schools will they blow up this time, harboring terrified children, women, and the medically fragile elderly?!?

That was their tactic in Operation Inherent Resolve in 2014, where a school, to which the IDF had been given the coordinates by the UN, was blown to smithereens.

Israel Advances Bill Linking Cultural Funding with ‘Loyalty’ to State

A ministerial committee in Israel’s parliament voted on Sunday to advance a bill that would cut subsidies to cultural organisations accused of not showing “loyalty” to the state, the culture minister said.

The proposed legislation, denounced by artists and freedom of speech activists, was proposed by Culture Minister Miri Regev and supported by Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon.

The decision by the Ministerial Committee for Legislation means that the bill will be fast-tracked to a full cabinet vote before being introduced in the Knesset as a government bill, the Times of Israel said.

It would give the finance and culture ministries the power to slash subsidies to any institution presenting work that denies Israel’s existence as a democratic and Jewish state or that marks the state’s independence day as a national day of mourning, AFP reported.

UEFA bows to Israel pressure, allows games to be broadcast to settlements

UEFA (the Union of European Football Associations) has bowed to Israeli pressure and withdrawn its condition that its football games not be broadcast to illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.

Bennett: Jerusalem will not be ‘shared capital’

Israeli Education Minister Naftali Bennett yesterday reiterated his rejection of having occupied Jerusalem as the “shared capital” of Israel and a Palestinian state.

Israeli Army Radio reported Bennett, who heads the right-wing Jewish Home party, as saying that “it will not be possible to divide Jerusalem even after a thousand years”.

“Israel will not allow any concessions over its sovereignty. It took years to get rid of Ehud Barak and Ehud Olmert and their proposals to give the Palestinians privileges; including control over the Al-Aqsa Mosque,” he added.

The Israeli minister claimed that he is not against any political negotiations, or regional settlement with the Arabs, but “not at the expense of Israeli territory. We are a small country and we will not give the Arabs even a centimeter.”

Israel calls to cut Palestinian prisoner treatment costs from PA taxes

An Israel parliamentarian committee is discussing a bill which would force the Palestinian Authority (PA) to pay the expenses of treating Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails, Quds Press reported yesterday.

Reporting the Israel’s Channel 7, Quds Press said that the Welfare Committee in the Israeli Knesset prepared the bill which stipulates that the PA must pay for the treatment of Palestinian prisoners who are wounded during their detention.

The bill demands that the Israeli occupation government deducts the cost of the medical care from the PA taxes collected by the Israeli customs if the PA refused to foot the bill.

Blog: Kushner demands higher levels of betrayal from the PA

After the US unilaterally recognised Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, withdrew all funding from the United Nations Relief and Works Organisation for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and closed the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) Mission in Washington, Senior Advisor to the US President Jared Kushner had the audacity to announce that a “reasonable” Palestinian leadership would agree to negotiate with Israel on US President Donald Trump’s purported peace plan.

So far, the only detail associated with President Trump’s plan is that “both sides would need to make concessions”. However, this rhetoric doesn’t even pass for an illusion of equity. Adding Kushner’s expectations of “reasonable leadership” to the equation, at a time when the current Palestinian leadership has been stripped of its political viability – despite its acquiescence to the US and Israel – makes it clear that the imbalance of compromise, as always, will be to the detriment of the Palestinian people.

Despite delay, Israel determined to destroy Khan al-Ahmar

Israel postponed the demolition and forcible transfer of the Palestinian village of Khan al-Ahmar on Sunday.

The delay was intended “to exhaust a proposal for voluntary evacuation,” according to Israeli daily Haaretz.

Villagers have consistently and vehemently opposed a forcible transfer from their land, which can in no way be “voluntary” when made under threat.

“Khan al-Ahmar will be evacuated, it’s a court ruling, that’s our policy and it will be done,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a press conference with US treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin on Sunday.

Netanyahu added that the delay will be brief, until residents grant Israel “consent” to vacate and destroy their village.

Israel lobby wants Saudis to get away with Khashoggi murder

With ever more gruesome details emerging about the slaying and dismemberment of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, fingers of blame are pointing squarely at Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

This is a huge problem for Israel and its lobby who see the Saudi de facto ruler – commonly referred to in English-language media by his initials MBS – as their key regional ally.

Until the 2 October killing in Istanbul, the Saudi autocrat had been feted by European royalty, American politicians and pundits, and Silicon Valley billionaires.

But following the Khashoggi killing, many are running for cover, especially one of the Saudi crown prince’s most egregious cheerleaders, New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman.

Friedman and company had been marketing MBS as a “reformer.”

Israel lobby stalwart and longtime US “peace process” steward Dennis Ross even dubbed the prince “a Saudi revolutionary.”

The Detail

On the subject of the Nazi gas chambers, Jean-Marie Le Pen recently stated: "If you take a thousand-page book on the Second World War, the concentration camps occupy two pages and the gas chambers ten or fifteen lines, and that's called a detail." He might have brought up some even harder hitting and more precise arguments, and referred to Eisenhower, Churchill, de Gaulle, Elie Wiesel, René Rémond, Daniel Goldhagen, and even the text of the Nuremberg Tribunal judgment. ... In this mass of writing, which altogether totals 7,061 pages (not including the introductory parts), published from 1948 to 1959, one will find no mention either of Nazi "gas chambers," a "genocide" of the Jews, or of "six million" Jewish victims of the war.

French Courts Punish Holocaust Apostasy: Le Pen, Faurisson, Garaudy Fined for 'Holocaust Denial'

Those who challenge the Western world's most important social-political taboo -- on the Second World War treatment of the Jews -- are routinely punished for their apostasy. France's Fabius-Gayssot law of July 13, 1990, makes it a crime to "contest" the "crimes against humanity" as defined by the Nuremberg International Military Tribunal of 1945-46 ... Faurisson and Le Pen are hardly the only ones whom Jewish groups and French officials have targeted for expressing skepticism of the officially sanctioned version of 20th century history. Other victims include Philippe Costa, Alain Guionnet and Fabrice Robert. Between July 1990 and January 1993 alone, the Fabius-Gayssot law had already been applied 27 times.

Flashback 2016: Counting Down To Israel’s Next ‘Mowing Of The Lawn’ In Palestine

Every two years or so, Israel decides that it’s time to once more test out its weaponry, provided by the United States, on Palestine. It invents some vague pretext and levels the Gaza Strip, a process Israeli politicians have referred to as a periodic “mowing of the lawn.”

Indeed, the grass in any lawn will grow too tall if not mowed periodically. Palestinians in Gaza, suffering under a brutal siege that’s now entering a second decade, must be put down before they, too, grow too much. And since the last bombing was during the summer of 2014, Israel must be looking for a new excuse now to “mow the lawn.”

ISRAEL DEPLOYS OVER 60 BATTLE TANKS, ARMOURED VEHICLES NEAR GAZA. MILITARY ACTION IS EXPECTED SOON

During the past week, the IDF deployed over 60 battle tanks and armoured vehicles as well as additional troops in the area near a security fence at the contact-line between the Israeli-controlled area and the Gaza Strip. Earlier, Israel also declared a new policy towards Gaza officially allowing stronger military actions against any “hostile” actions by the protestors or Hamas.

Khashoggi murder has set back US-Israel effort to confront Iran

The uproar over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul October 2 is obviously the biggest story in the world right now and though Israel is maintaining a strategic silence so as not to hurt its new ally, responses to the outrage in the U.S. are not all ideological, or ascribable to the Israel lobby.

The thrust of American mainstream commentary on the case appears to be: the murder is too much to swallow, but Saudi Arabia is too valuable an ally to lose, given the US-Israeli-Saudi alliance against Iran and the Saudi role of imposing a possible “deal” on the Palestinians. So Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman needs to get out of the way.

Israel is already a big loser in the fallout from the murder, as it is throwing shade on Israel’s rightwing friends, including Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and Mideast negotiator and counterpart of bin Salman.

The Easiest Way To Support Israeli Charities

very year in April, Americans complete their taxes, which include for many, lists of donations to tax-exempt charitable organizations. As an American Jew, my wife and I know and support great charities for Israel, such as AFMDA (American Friends of Magen David Adom) and FIDF (Friends of the IDF.) But I had often wondered, what about the other excellent charities in Israel that are virtually unknown in the U.S.? How do they survive and how can we support them?Cause:Israel is the brainchild of Dr. Amir Give’on, who developed the Jewish crowdfunding site, Jewcer. Give’on is a mechanical and aerospace engineer, a professional geek who is driven to search for new ideas to benefit the Jewish people and Israel. ‘No choice but war’: Israel ‘exhausted all options’ in dealing with Hamas, says defense chief

Israel is left with no choice but to unleash a military action against Hamas militants, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman has threatened. The bellicose tirade comes amid reports the IDF are amassing tanks along the Gaza border.

“Wars are only conducted when there is no choice, and now there is no choice,” Lieberman told the parliament. Apparently anything less than the “toughest response” to Hamas is not being considered as Tel Aviv had “exhausted the other options.”

Speculation about a potential offensive on Gaza has been swirling for several days, as the IDF stationed around 60 tanks and armored personnel carriers near the Palestinian border in what may be the largest military deployment since 2014’s Operation Protective Edge.

Trump sparks global concern saying he plans to jettison the 30-year old INF treaty signed by Reagan and Gorbachev.

Russia, however, has warned abandoning the agreement would be a major blow to global security.

Moscow was ready to work with the United States to salvage the agreement, the Russian Security Council said after a meeting between its chief Nikolai Patrushev and US National Security Adviser John Bolton.

Bolton, who is expected to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, was visiting Moscow in the wake of Trump's announcement Saturday that he wants to do away with the pact, which bans intermediate-range nuclear and conventional missiles.
