US to refuel Saudi-led warplanes in Yemen

US Increases Involvement in Saudi War Against Yemen

In a move that Pentagon officials are describing as just a “deepening” of their military involvement in the Saudi attack on Yemen, they have announced military aircraft from Centcom will begin aerial refueling operations for Saudi planes currently bombing the nation.

The announcement couldn’t be worse timed, coming after a three day span during which Saudi planes killed scores of civilians in a pair of attacks on a dairy and a refugee camp in northern Yemen.

Though the US has tried to downplay its involvement in the war, officials confirmed that US surveillance planes have been flying over Yemen and providing the Saudis with intelligence for their airstrikes, which isn’t an appealing role considering how bloody and unpopular those strikes have been.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would suggest that it is only a matter of time before we see US - and Saudi- boots on the ground in Yemen; were I a betting person, I would say sooner, rather than later; perhaps by the end of this month, or the beginning of next week.

Dome of the Rock erased from kindergarten's Haggadah

Al-Aqsa Mosque replaced with trees in picture of Jerusalem's Western Wall in Kiryat Tivon nursery school's Passover booklet. 'This is not the kind of education I would like my children to receive,' says shocked father.

A Passover Hagaddah handed out to children in a municipal kindergarten in the northern town of Kiryat Tivon includes a picture of the Western Wall without the Dome of the Rock behind it.

Ofir Spiegler ran across the picture when his daughter brought the Hagaddah home before the Passover vacation. He discovered that the page which says "Next year in a rebuilt Jerusalem" includes a picture of the Western Wall with the Temple Mount and trees behind it. The Dome of the Rock, a Muslim mosque famous for its large golden dome, is nowhere to be seen.

Islamic Jew-hatred’ ads with Hitler appear on Philly buses

I wonder if I should tell you about the Zionist/NaZi connections? That they were (are) one and the same? That the "Jewish Holocaust" was really the "Shnorrer Holocaust" (poor Jewish Holocaust): those Jews who were refuseniks against the Zionist cult?

That same occult underpinnings of Zionism, NaZism are the same for Islamofascism, the Muslim Brotherhood (now al Qaeda and ISIS), based in the Cairo Lodge, saved by Allen Dulles and the CIA, removed to Saudi Arabia, after Nasser tried to suppress this heretical Islamic movement?

That Saudi Arabia and Israel are the evil step-brothers in the Rothschild plan to use Israel as the center-piece for the Satanic New World Order centered on the rebuilt Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem atop what is now the Al-Aqsa Mosque?

SAUDIS PARACHUTE CRATES OF ARMS FROM THE SKY INTO YEMEN

Saudi Arabia has reportedly airdropped crates of weapons into the strategic port city of Aden, where a battle for control of the city is ongoing, according to locals and news websites in Yemen. Houthi rebels have stormed the presidential palace in Aden as a part of their ongoing battle with pro-government forces, who are being backed by Saudi-led airstrikes in an operation Riyadh has dubbed “Decisive Storm.”

Saudi and Yemeni activists linked to the anti-Houthi forces reported via social networks that weapons were airdropped to help government forces fighting in the city. Photos and videos from the area show fighters loading crates onto pick-up trucks. According to the activists, they contained ammunition, guns and communication devices. Pictures show crates on a sidewalk, with a grey parachute canopy & strings draped across the street and over nearby buildings.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Things are about to go from ugly to horrifically ugly in Yemen.

It is just a matter of time before there is a Saudi ground invasion, and so far, there seems to be little to zero concern for the safety of non-combatants, who are getting slaughtered by Saudi forces with absolute impunity.

Netanyahu: Any final Iran deal must include recognition of Israel’s right to exist

PM says Israel would not accept agreement that gives country that vows to annihilate Israel a nuclear bomb.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Netanyahu's arrogance is showing. First, Iran (and the other nations in the region) have made it abundantly clear they will recognize Israel's right to exist ... one second after Israel recognizes Palestine's right to exist. But as long as Israel maintains a policy of "We have a right to exist but you do not", the situation will deteriorate. Second, Israel is not a party to the P5+1 negotiations, so what Israel rejects has no real meaning, especially since Netanyahu's grandstanding speech to Congress has lost Israel the presumed US veto in all thing United Nations.

BEX Alert - "Iran deal threatens ‘survival of Israel’, increases risk of ‘horrific war’ – Netanyahu"

A nuclear deal with Iran based on current framework will “threaten the survival of Israel”, said PM Benjamin Netanyahu, warning it would increase the risk of a “horrific war.”

In a phone conversation with the US President, the Israeli Prime Minister expressed his opposition to a framework agreement reached with Israel on Thursday.

Netanyahu has once again called for a “better deal” insisting that the only way to reach it would be “standing firm and increasing the pressure on Iran.”

Netanyahu warned that if the final deal due to be signed in June, fell in line with the current framework, it would “increase the risks of nuclear proliferation in the region and the risks of a horrific war.”

BEX Alert - "Gen. Hayden: Obama's Deal Would Give Iran a Nuke Within a Year"

Retired Air Force Gen. Michael Hayden was among many slamming the Obama administration's framework for a nuclear deal with Iran on Thursday, telling Newsmax that it turns Tehran into an "industrial-strength nuclear state" that could have its own weapon within a year.

"It took us 18 months to get to the outline of a framework and now we're going to get to the fine print in what, three months?" asked Hayden, who led both the CIA and the National Security Agency. "That shows you how difficult this is.

"We have just agreed that Iran will be an industrial-strength nuclear state and that it will never be any more than one year away from having a nuclear weapon," he said.

Turkey's misguided Yemen move

As soon as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan lent support to the Saudi-led military operation against the Houthis in Yemen, some in Turkey were quick to jump on a puzzling argument that Yemen still belonged to the Ottomans. Yemen or Iran: Which One is in US Sights?

The situation in the Middle East has been deteriorating since the US invasion of Iraq in 2003. Whatever has happened in the region since then was the result of US intervention into the internal affairs of the Middle East countries, let it be Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Syria or Yemen. In an interview with Vice News, President Obama said the rise of Islamic State (IS, also known as ISIS/ISIL) can be directly linked to America’s excursion into Iraq under Bush. «Two things: One is, ISIL is a direct outgrowth of Al-Qaeda in Iraq that grew out of our invasion,» Obama said in an interview with VICE News. «Which is an example of unintended consequences. Which is why we should generally aim before we shoot».

Members of the Saudi-led coalition are preventing a plane carrying medical supplies from landing in Sanaa, a spokeswoman for the International Committee of the Red Cross told Reuters on Tuesday.

Spokeswoman Sitara Jabeen said the plane carrying enough medical aid to treat 700 to 1,000 wounded is still in Djibouti. The aircraft is scheduled to make a trip to an ICRC warehouse in Amman, Jordan, to load up on supplies before heading to Sanaa.

WHY WAGE WAR ON YEMEN?

Despite Saudi or even US assertions to the contrary, Operation Decisive Storm has nothing to do with supporting the legitimacy of a political process in Yemen. Its goal is instead to maintain the continuity of authoritarian governance in the region by actively repressing the forces that threaten to undo the status quo. That this coalition has indiscriminately lumped together ISIS, Iran and the popular democratic movements of the Arab uprisings of 2011 should indicate both its broader strategic goals and, equally, the dangers to positive political and social change it represents.

USA and Saudi Arabia invade Yemen to defend their oil

Saudi Arabia, answering the call from Yemeni President Hadi, invaded Yemen. Huthis came out to the Gulf of Aden that raised very serious concerns in Saudi Arabia. The Huthis can take control of the Bab-el-Mandeb - the strait, on which tankers transport oil from the Persian Gulf to Europe and America. As soon as the military operation in Yemen started, oil prices soared.

The Saudis, having used the threat from the Huthis, won the support of the United States for the operation against Yemen. Saudi Arabia has thus struck a mediated blow on Iran that supports the Huthis. The United States is unwilling to ruin its ties with Iran for two reasons. Obama has staked his reputation by negotiating the Iranian nuclear program. He also hopes for Iran's help in curbing the Islamic State in Iraq. Nevertheless, the ally (Saudi Arabia) insisted Obama should announce the "logistical support" for the invasion of Yemen.

Saudi Airstrikes Hit Yemen Refugee Camp, 45 Civilians Killed

Saudi warplanes attacked the al-Mazzrak refugee camp in Yemen’s Hajjah Province today, killing at least 45 civilians and wounding some 200 others, according to aid workers on the ground.

Saudi officials were quick to deny responsibility for the killings, and declared that the Houthis they are at war with inexplicably attacked the camp. This was in spite of Saudi officials bragging only yesterday they’d destroyed every warplane in Yemen.

Doctors Without Borders and other aid groups confirmed that the attack was indeed an airstrike, and there seems no serious doubt it was a Saudi strike, just the latest in an air campaign that is increasingly targeting civilians.

Iraqi Militiamen Plan To Travel To Yemen To Battle U.S.-Backed Coalition

Iran-backed Shiite militiamen in Iraq say they're ready to take up arms in a country most of them have never been to: Yemen.

“We defeated ISIS in Syria, we’re defeating ISIS in Iraq, and we’ll defeat them in Yemen,” Abu Kumael, a volunteer fighter with the powerful Iran-supported Shiite militia known as the Peace Brigades, told The WorldPost Monday. “We’re not just talking. We’re physically ready to go and fight.”

In Iraq, the militias are working on the same side as U.S. forces against the self-declared Islamic State. But once the militiamen get to Yemen, they'll be fighting not for the U.S., but against the Americans -- which means that the U.S. will be battling the same forces, and in some cases the very same men, that ISIS is taking on in Iraq.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US government's invasions and occupations in this region are bearing bitter fruit all across the Middle East.

The deBaathification of Iraq was one of the most pig-headedly, ham-fistedly idiotic things the Bush administration decided to do, and led to a literal civil war between the Sunni-Shiite religious elements in this country.

It appears that neither of the last two administrations, collectively, had the intellectual capability of think a scenario through to its logical conclusion; in fact, that particular logic-disabled thinking seemed to be a prerequisite for employment with both administrations.

But there is one thing of which I am reasonably certain; the catastrophic failure of geopolitical imagination, which lead to the invasion and occupation of Iraq; the assassination of Qaddafi in Libya; the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan; and the propping up of a US-sponsored dictator in Yemen, Al-Hadi, nearly guarantees DC's need for more US boots on the ground in the Middle East to attempt to sop up the mess of blood and political movements not to the US government's liking.

Looking at how rapidly events are unfolding, it is only a matter of time. And were I a betting woman, I would not bet against the timing of this being very soon, before the onset of summer.

I have been around for a long time and have experienced more than most. The current situation in my experience is the most dangerous time of all for humanity.

Nuclear weapons are no longer restrained by the Cold War MAD doctrine. Washington has released them into pre-emptive first strike form.

The targets of these pre-emptive strikes–Russia and China–know it, because Washington proudly proclaims its immorality in public documents describing its war doctrine.

The result is to maximize the chance of nuclear war. If you were Russia and China, and you knew that Washington had a war doctrine that permits a surprise nuclear attack, would you sit there waiting while Washington cranks up its anti-Russian and anti-Chinese propaganda machine, demonizing both countries as a threat to “freedom and democracy”?

Arab leaders have agreed to form a joint military force at a Sharm el-Sheikh summit, hosting Egyptian President Abdel Sisi has announced. The meeting was dominated by the situation in Yemen, where Saudi Arabia leads a bombing campaign against rebels.

"The Arab leaders have decided to agree on the principle of a joint Arab military force," Sisi said Sunday as the summit wrapped up. The summit final communique called for "coordination, efforts and steps to establish an unified Arab force" to intervene in countries such as Yemen.

The Egyptian leader said a high-level panel will work out the structure and mechanism of the future force. The work is expected to take four months.

What’s REALLY Going On In Yemen

For years, the Americans saw President Ali Abdullah Saleh as a key ally in the fight against al-Qaeda. He allowed his air bases to be used by US drones to strike at the movement’s operatives, and gladly received Western aid in development cash and arms supplies.

Yet according to claims in a United Nations report last month, one of the first things Mr Saleh did when his three-decade rule was threatened by the 2011 Arab Spring was strike a secret deal to give an entire southern province to al-Qaeda. The more he could portray Yemen as falling into militant hands, he calculated, the more the West want to keep him in office at all costs.

The U.S. brokered Saleh’s replacement by Yemen’s current president, Hadi. Hadi was a long-time high-level assistant to Saleh.

The presidential election “ballot” had only one choice … Hadi:

After claiming to down Saudi coalition plane, Houthis say they're holding Sudanese pilot

Houthi sources have claimed to have shot down a fighter jet over Yemen and captured its Sudanese pilot.

"Anti-rocket defense systems shot down a plane in northern Sanaa and captured its Sudanese pilot," one of the sources told The Anadolu Agency on Saturday.

The claim could not be verified.

There was no comment from either Sudan or the Saudi-led Arab coalition, which has been striking Houthi positions in Yemen since Wednesday.

Two Saudi pilots rescued by US forces during Yemen offensive

US forces have rescued two Saudi pilots after their F-15S fighter jet crashed during an air mission over Yemen.

"The F-15S suffered a technical difficulty over the Red Sea late Friday," a source in the Saudi Defense Ministry was quoted as saying by the official SPA news agency on Saturday.

"The two pilots have been rescued in cooperation with the US side and they are well and in high spirit," the source added.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Technical problem? It's possible. The F-15 is problematic like the F-22 and F-35. But maybe they just don't want it known that the people of Yemen are able to shoot fighters down!

Yemen, Ukraine, and the Hypocrisy of ‘Aggression’

Eric Draitser
Activist Post

The military intervention in Yemen by a US-backed coalition of Arab states will undoubtedly inflame the conflict both in Yemen, and throughout the region. It is likely to be a protracted war involving many actors, each of which is interested in furthering its own political and geopolitical agenda.

However, it is the international reaction to this new regional war which is of particular interest; specifically, the way in which the United States has reacted to this undeniable aggression by its Gulf allies...

Mahmoud Abbas calls for Arab military intervention against Hamas in Gaza

Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas issued a thinly veiled call for an Arab military intervention to overthrow Hamas in Gaza, along the lines of the Saudi-led bombing campaign in Yemen.

But the kind of intervention Abbas may be setting the stage for would likely consist of ground troops rather than airstrikes.

Abbas made the suggestion at the Arab League summit hosted by the Egyptian military regime in the Red Sea resort of Sharm al-Sheikh on Saturday.

Abbas’ speech indicates that a similar call by his religious affairs advisor in a Friday sermon in Ramallah represented official PA policy, and not the views of a maverick. Hamas has condemned the PA leader’s statements.
