Postmortem (Civil War Phase 2)

And so, with the midterm election in the rearview mirror, behold the rush into the next phase of Civil War 2. The Golden Golem of Greatness (aka, President Trump) finally requested the resignation of the feckless Attorney General, Mr. Sessions — a fine point as we shall see. The New York Times, of course, played it as an opportunity to litigate the constitution in their headline the day after: "Jeff Sessions Is Forced Out as Attorney General as Trump Installs Loyalist".

In Federal Courts, the Worst Rise to the Top

A New York City federal jury has spoken, and its message is ominous: federal prosecutors are empowered to criminalize actions for which there is no statutory prohibition. To put it another way, the government has pulled criminal charges out of thin air – and journalists are cheering.

An Evening with Tucker Carlson: America's Elites Are on a Ship of Fools

This event was held October 16, 2018 and hosted by the Independent Institute. Tucker Carlson discusses America's elites, a group whose power and wealth from government privilege have grown beyond imagination even as the rest of the country has floundered.

The people who run America now barely interact with it, and in his #1 New York Times, best-selling book, Ship of Fools, Carlson offers a blistering critique of our new overlords. Traditional liberals who worried about whales and defended free speech have been replaced by authoritarians who hide their hard-edged agenda behind identity politics. They’ll fleece you while lecturing you about bathrooms, plastic straws, and safe spaces.

Socialists and Fascists Have Always Been Kissing Cousins

The young communists are more than convinced of their intellectual as well as their moral superiority. With dread certainty, they bully anyone who believes differently than they do. In other words, the Left is back and in full force, up to the same deceptions and tricks as it was in the 1920s and after.

Florida Elections Worker: I Was Fired For Witnessing Possible Absentee Ballot Fraud

A temporary worker for the Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office in Florida has alleged in a sworn affidavit obtained by Newsmax that she was fired this week after witnessing possible absentee ballot fraud by office workers.

But the State Attorney's Office concluded Friday that the workers were duplicating ballots by hand from damaged originals faxed by military personnel and that "there is nothing improper or illegal about the conduct" under state law.

"We were understandably alarmed about what she witnessed," Bob Nichols, a Fort Lauderdale attorney, told Newsmax in an interview.

Nichols is general counsel for the Broward Republican Executive Committee, which learned of the allegations on Thursday. He interviewed the former employee and reported the matter that day to the state attorney.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What can you expect from Broward Country Florida, from which we have seen such tremendous amounts of election fraud happen in years past?!?

Obviously, nothing has changed here, and I seriously doubt that we will see change, until the entire nation is voting on an absolute standard manner, all across the country.

Trump Warns: Dems Are Sending "Their Best Election-Stealing Lawyer" To Florida

Is Florida gearing up for Bush vs. Gore redux?

It's starting to look that way.

As Fox News reports, lawyers are arriving in Democratic strongholds in Florida as the state prepares for a recount in Broward County, the epicenter of the vote-counting controversy that led to Bush vs. Gore, and Palm Beach County. Both are Democratic strongholds that have been extremely slow to deliver final ballot totals for Tuesday's election.

To try and push for a hand recount, defeated incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson has hired Democratic attorney Marc Elias of law firm Perkins Coie to help plead his case and point out suspicious "inconsistencies" with the vote count in Broward, where more than 20,000 voters voted in down-ballot races but left out their votes for governor's race, in which Nelson's Democratic ally, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, has already conceded to Republican Ron DeSantis.

Broward Mystery Boxes Tossed Into Trucks After Missed Deadline; Gaetz Forcibly Removed While Filming

After a Florida Judge ordered Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes to allow for the immediate inspection of tens of thousands of ballots suddenly found after Democrat Sen. Bill Nelson lost to Republican Gov. Rick Scott, Snipes failed to abide by a 7 PM deadline set at the emergency hearing. Instead, workers were filmed by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) shuffling boxes into a truck, before he was forcibly removed by a police officer.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Police officer had no right to do this, but understanding that he probably had guns/tasers, etc., I can understand why Gaetz ultimately went with him, albeit not willingly.

Profiteers of Misery: Parents slam health fat cats in UK and US who are raking in as much as £730,000 annually for every autistic child they ‘lock up’ in secretive secure psychiatric units

A cluster of ‘fat cat’ private operators is creaming off hundreds of millions of pounds from the NHS after muscling in on the cruel but lucrative trade in locking up people with autism and learning disabilities.

The Mail on Sunday can reveal that seven providers are charging taxpayers up to £730,000 a year for each patient held in controversial and secretive secure psychiatric units.

There are 2,375 people with autism and learning disabilities held in assessment and treatment units (ATUs) at a cost of about half a billion pounds a year, with scores more held in other secure units. One man alone is thought to have cost taxpayers more than £10 million after being held against his family’s wishes for more than 17 years.

Donald Tusk's elephant in the room

Donald Tusk, president of the European Council, was questioned on Monday in Poland as part of a parliamentary investigation into a pyramid scheme that swindled thousands of Poles during his time as prime minister.

The Amber Gold scandal, which came to light in 2012, was one of the biggest business affairs in Poland since the fall of communism in 1989.

The case is being investigated by the Polish government, led by the conservative Law and Justice (PiS) party, which set up a special multi-party commission that has questioned dozens of state officials.

We want to believe: ‘Russian hacking’ memo REVEALS how US intel pinned leaks to Kremlin

A newly-out memo containing the Obama admin’s talking points about “Russian hacking” in the 2016 election reveals how US spy agencies attributed email leaks to Kremlin by saying it’s “consistent” with what they think Russia does.

The seven-page document was contained within the 49 pages published on Friday by BuzzFeed, which obtained them through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) inquiry from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) in late October. At the root of it is a November 29 letter by several Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee, asking then-President Barack Obama to declassify documents concerning “Russian Active Measures.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Short version: The Russian hacking claim was a lie.

Why Are so Few Americans Able to Get Ahead?

Despite the rah-rah about the "ownership society" and the best economy ever, the sobering reality is very few Americans are able to get ahead, i.e. build real financial security via meaningful, secure assets which can be passed on to their children.

The Five Features of the Left’s Fact-Free Universe

Answer: because this is the way millions of leftists think. -- They live in a universe in which the GOP is about to abolish the welfare state, the Ku Klux Klan (which has somewhere between 3000 and 6000 members nationwide) is an influential institution, the United States has a “rape culture,” white nationalists can be found in many prominent positions, and “literal Nazis” are in the White House. -- When asked for evidence to support bizarre, tone-deaf, I’m-living-on-another-planet claims like these, the so-called evidence always winds up like that article — either showing nothing of the kind, or indeed proving the exact opposite. -- The fact-free universe they live in, which stokes their emotional hypochondria, motivates the mobs threatening people like Carlson.

Missing the Marx: Gun Control’s Future is … Communism?

Leave it to a left-leaning private equity investor to assume that Americans’ fundamental rights are merely one more type of commodity that can be bought and sold in a highly-manipulated market. Of course, left-leaning oligarchs regard American democracy itself that way, as something that can be had for a price and then used to suit their personal ends and preferences. And, they’ve spent heavily to ensure their chosen party controls Congress after November 6 and will no doubt be expecting a return on their investment in the form of public policy that meets their approval.

JUDICIAL WATCH SUES DOJ FOR RECORDS OF INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE AWAN BROTHERS, CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRAT IT SCANDAL

Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Justice Department for all records of communications relating to the investigation into former Democratic information technology (IT) staffers Abid Awan, Imran Awan, Jamal Awan and Hina R. Alvi (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-02563)).

Imran Awan and his family were banned from the House computer network in February 2017 after the House’s top law enforcement officer wrote that Imran is “an ongoing and serious risk to the House of Representatives, possibly threatening the integrity of our information systems,” and that a server containing evidence had gone “missing.” The inspector general said server logs showed “unauthorized access” and procurement records were falsified.

U.S. GAVE MILITARY JEEPS TO GUATEMALA TO FIGHT DRUG TRAFFICKING. INSTEAD, THEY WERE USED TO INTIMIDATE AN ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION.

THE ARMORED JEEPS were lined up single file along a Guatemala City street on August 31 in an ominous queue. By mid-morning, images began circulating of the jeeps outside the offices of a U.N.-backed anti-corruption commission that has played a key role in bringing down corrupt officials. More jeeps were spotted in the vicinity of the National Palace, along with military personnel. In a country with a not-so-distant past of military coups and massacres, the photographs and videos spread like wildfire, raising alarm as people scrambled to find out what was going on.

To Feliciana Macario, the show of force evoked the worst years of military rule in Guatemala, during the 36-year armed conflict between the U.S.-backed military and paramilitary forces and left-wing guerrilla groups. Macario is one of the national coordinators of CONAVIGUA, a national human rights organization founded by women whose husbands were killed or disappeared during the conflict.

Buchanan: The War For The Soul Of America

The war in Washington will not end until the presidency of Donald Trump ends. Everyone seems to sense that now.

This is a fight to the finish.

A postelection truce that began with Trump congratulating House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi — “I give her a great deal of credit for what she’s done and what she’s accomplished” — was ancient history by nightfall.

With the forced resignation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his replacement by his chief of staff, Matthew Whitaker, the long-anticipated confrontation with Robert Mueller appears at hand.

Sessions had recused himself from the oversight role of the special counsel’s investigation into Russiagate. Whitaker has definitely not.

Before joining Justice, he said that the Mueller probe was overreaching, going places it had no authority to go, and that it could be leashed by a new attorney general and starved of funds until it passes away.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Amen to that, Pat Buchanan, Amen!!

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Will Retire from the US Supreme Court in January, 2019

While the Nation is preoccupied with the appointment of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy, it appears there will soon be another vacancy on the US Supreme Court

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has had a re-occurrence of malignant melanoma, she has told her law clerks. Ginsburg was treated in 1999 for colon cancer and had surgery in 2009 for pancreatic cancer.

She has told key Democratic members of the Senate about her medical condition, including ranking Democratic member of the Judiciary Committee Dianne Feinstein. This explains in part the "take no prisoners" attitude of the Democrats during the Kavanaugh nomination, carefully orchestrating weak 37 year old allegations against Kavanaugh by Women he barely remembers knowing in High School and College.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sad for Ruth Bader Ginsberg, But I hope and pray that President Trump's team is putting together a list of judges which are "bullet proof" from a standpoint of the Dems issuing nasty, untrue allegations this time.

Michael Avenatti Calls for Trump ‘Indictment’ After Wall Street Journal Payoff Story

Michael Avenatti has called for the “immediate indictment” of Donald Trump following a Wall Street Journal report that alleges the president had complete knowledge of payoffs made to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal. The Journal story dropped on November 9 at 1:03 p.m., by 1:24, Avenatti had taken to Twitter to rail against the president. Donald Trump explicitly denied knowledge of the payments made to the two women in April and May 2018.

Karen McDougal has alleged that she had a lengthy affair with Donald Trump between 2006 and 2007. It was widely reported that McDougal was to come forward with her allegations prior to the 2016 presidential election but was silenced after she sold her story to the National Enquirer. Porn star Stormy Daniels, real name Stephanie Clifford, has also alleged that she had a brief affair with Trump in 2006. Acting AG Whitaker Pretty Much Tells Dems To Shove It: No Recusal From Overseeing Russia Probe

President Trump fired Jeff Sessions from his attorney general post yesterday. Matthew Whitaker is now acting attorney general, and he’s now in position to oversee the Russia investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Whitaker has criticized the probe before, which prompted top Democrats to call for his recusal (via The Hill):

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Wednesday said that acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker should recuse himself from overseeing special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

"Given his previous comments advocating defunding and imposing limitations on the Mueller investigation, Mr. Whitaker should recuse himself from its oversight for the duration of his time as acting attorney general," Schumer said in a statement on Wednesday.

Schumer, in a separate press conference with reporters, warned that attempts by Sessions's successor or Trump to interfere with the investigation would spark a "constitutional crisis."

Antifa expands its hit list as political violence escalates

When a mob of left-wing antifa activists descended Wednesday night on Fox News personality Tucker Carlson’s D.C. home, it signaled a new phase in the political violence and angry confrontations that now are targeting the news media.

Political violence has been rising in the U.S. since 2012, according to the Global Terrorism Database. Increasingly aggressive activists have pushed political confrontation to the limit since 2016, accosting Republican lawmakers and Trump administration officials in restaurants and in the halls of Congress. And now they’re going after conservative journalists at their homes.

“Tucker Carlson, we will fight. We know where you sleep at night!” the activists allied with antifa chanted outside Mr. Carlson’s home.

Antifa is short of anti-fascist, though the group has anarchist leanings and targets anyone perceived as not in step with a far-left agenda.

The bipartisan effort by Flake and Democrat Chris Coons was announced in the wake of Donald Trump firing Jeff Sessions as attorney general and installing persistent Mueller critic Matt Whitaker as acting attorney general.

Whitaker is under pressure to recuse himself from overseeing the probe as a result of his criticisms of it but has made no indication that he would step aside.
