What Do We Make Of The Midterm Election?

In my opinion, flyover America voted Republican because the “deplorables” want to defend Trump. They want to defend him for two reasons. One is that he spoke to their economic plight caused by the US corporations exporting their jobs, leaving the American workforce and middle class hard-strapped. The other is that the adoption of Identity Politics by the Democratic Party has made the Democrats the party that hates white people—especially white heterosexual males who are defined as the victimizer of minorities, homosexuals, and women. It takes a really stupid white person to vote for Democrats who see white people as the problem.

Presstitutes Abandon Journalism For Political Activism

When President Trump nominated Jeff Sessions as his Attorney General, the presstitutes were opposed to Sessions and declared him unfit for office. Now that he has been fired, the presstitutes are his champions.

There are reports that MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow has organized a protest march for today denouncing Trump for firing Sessions.

CNN’s Jake Tapper added his view of the firing as “that’s how gangsters act” and got John Dean from the Watergate era to delare that Sessions’ firing was “planned like a murder.”

Leaked Documentary Shows Israel Lobby Used Fake Sexual Assault Claims Against BDS Activists

A leaked Al Jazeera documentary detailing the tactics of the Israeli lobby in the United States and elsewhere has revealed that pro-Israel groups regularly invented smears, including false accusations of sexual assault, to discredit professors and students on U.S. university campuses that support equal rights for Palestinians and the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions (BDS) movement. BDS is a non-violent movement that seeks to use economic pressure on Israel’s government so that it complies with international law, ends the military occupation of the West Bank, and halts the decades-long blockade of the Gaza Strip.

Police recommend indicting Netanyahu lawyer over German subs

Israeli police are recommending that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trusted personal attorney be indicted in a conflict-of-interest case involving a $2 billion purchase of German submarines.

Police said on Thursday they have sufficient evidence to charge David Shimron with bribery and money laundering offenses for his role in the affair.

Shimron, who is also Netanyahu's cousin, represented the German manufacturer Thyssenkrupp involved in the sale and has been suspected of trading his influence over the prime minister in return for a hefty cut of the deal.

Police also recommended indicting a former Cabinet minister, a former navy chief and former Netanyahu chief of staff in the affair.

Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Justice Department for all records of communications relating to the investigation into former Democratic information technology (IT) staffers Abid Awan, Imran Awan, Jamal Awan and Hina R. Alvi (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-02563)).

Imran Awan and his family were banned from the House computer network in February 2017 after the House’s top law enforcement officer wrote that Imran is “an ongoing and serious risk to the House of Representatives, possibly threatening the integrity of our information systems,” and that a server containing evidence had gone “missing.” The inspector general said server logs showed “unauthorized access” and procurement records were falsified.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I love that Judicial Watch is working to keep address the issues they are, and will be addressing, but I am disgusted that Congress and the DOD continue to fail, horrifically, to do their jobs.

Trumped by the President: How the Democrats’ Blue Wave turned into a Blue Rinse. By George Galloway

Whilst the Nancy Pelosi-led Democratic Party understandably talked up their House of Representatives victory, there was no fireworks barge on the East River and no blue wave on which to float it.

The billions of dollars spent by the suddenly flush Blues yielded a Republican majority in the US Senate (and thus the end of the impeachment threat), the victory of the GOP in the states Trump campaigned in (again), and a Republican Party more beholden to the most reviled president in modern US history.

The Democrats have learned little from their defeat by Trump in 2016. Their ‘identity politics’ celebration of “the first this, the first that” elected to office in US history will be scant consolation to those whose lives continue to be blighted by the neo-liberal brigand-capitalism of the American ruling class.

Three (3) Reasons Why Elections Don’t Matter by Doug "Uncola" Lynn

n so many ways, elections in America have become just another manifestation of bread and circuses; like watching a reality TV show when your house is on fire. It’s why this article was almost named:

“The Inevitableness of Reality Requires Honesty and Acceptance”

Of course, the 2018 Midterm Elections will be analyzed ad nauseam, with other writers and pundits parsing it better than this blogger. However, suffice it to say: There was no Blue Wave and Trump has now solidified leadership of his Republican Party; at least more so than during the last two years of his administration.

In a raucous press conference the day after, Trump claimed victory and said his party “defied history to expand our Senate majority”. The president also said his focus in the days prior to the election remained on the senate and pointed out that most of the candidates for whom he campaigned had won their respective races.

Trey Gowdy Predicts Mueller Will Find No Collusion

In an interview with Fox News, outgoing House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy predicted that the Mueller investigation will find no evidence of Donald Trump’s ‘collusion’ with Russia.

Gowdy told host Bret Baier that the Special Counsel will wrap up his probe by the end of the year, will conclude there was no collusion, and the results will pave the way for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to be shown the door.

Baier questioned the South Carolina Representative about the investigation, to which Gowdy concluded Mueller will “disappoint” the mainstream media by finding no evidence of ties between the Kremlin and President Trump.

There was no coordinated effort to defeat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.

The Fraud of 'Antisemitism' and 'Hate Speech' | exposed by Righteous Jews [Dave Rubin & Milo]

"Anti-Semitism is the same kind of bogus thing as crying racism and crying sexism... We do run everything. Facts can't be racist. Jews are vastly overrepresented in the media; vastly overrepresented in banking... My mother is Jewish so according to Jewish law I'm Jewish... They know the jig is up... These people know; it's starting to dawn on them. They are starting to get the message that saying 'racist' is not going to shut people up anymore. It doesn't shut me up. Now you've got to come with facts."

Watch the Film the Israel Lobby Didn’t Want You To See

The Electronic Intifada has obtained a complete copy of The Lobby – USA, a four-part undercover investigation by Al Jazeera into Israel’s covert influence campaign in the United States.

It is today publishing the first two episodes. The Paris-based Orient XXI has published the same episodes with French subtitles.

The film was made by Al Jazeera during 2016 and was completed in October 2017.

But it was censored after Qatar, the gas-rich Gulf emirate that funds Al Jazeera, came under intense Israel lobby pressure not to air the film.

Sessions' ouster throws future of special counsel probe into question

The future of the special counsel investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign was thrown into uncertainty Wednesday after President Donald Trump ousted Attorney General Jeff Sessions, a move that will result in a change in the probe's supervision.

Trump named as acting attorney general Matthew Whitaker, Sessions chief of staff, who as a legal commentator last year wrote that special counsel Robert Mueller III appeared to be taking his investigation too far.

A Justice Department official said Wednesday that Whitaker would assume final decision-making authority over the special counsel probe instead of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

Wall Street Seems To Believe That Endless Gridlock And Political Turmoil Will Be Good For America

It is difficult not to admire the relentless optimism on Wall Street. A divided Congress is going to guarantee two years of gridlock and political turmoil in Washington, but many in the financial community are choosing to interpret the election results as a positive sign. They remember the “gridlock” during the Obama years, and they are hopeful that the next couple of years will be at least somewhat similar. The Dow Jones Industrial Average shot up 545 points on Wednesday, and that was the largest post-midterm rally that we have seen in 36 years. Stock prices normally go up the day after midterm elections, but Wednesday’s rally was definitely unusual…

Earlier this week I blogged about two articles that seemed to imply a kind of "connection" for my normal daily dose of high octane speculation. And today is no different, as Mr. C.S., Mr. S.D. and Mr. S.D.D. (two different people) shared two different articles, and once again, my suspicion meter is in the red zone. First, Mr. S.D.D. shared this one about a strange new malady appearing in infants around the country:

What Will the Dems Do With Their New House?

Do the Democrats really think the country wants to go through all of this? Will the Democrats use their takeover of the House to work with President Trump or to wreck his presidency? Will the politically wounded president find within him any self-restraint and willingness to compromise? Might there be a silver lining to Trump’s midterm dark cloud?

Brazilian president’s two sons wearing Israeli army and Mossad t-shirts

Amid talks about the preparation of the new Brazilian president, Jair Bolsonaro, for the transfer of his country’s embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem, media outlets and social media websites, including Walla! website, have been flooded with pictures showing the President’s two sons wearing two t-shirts, one bearing the IDF logo and the other the Mossad logo.

Eduardo and Carlos, the sons of Bolsonaro, had visited Israel while wearing t-shirts bearing the IDF and Mossad logos. The photo was published on Eduardo’s Twitter account in 2016.

Following the winning of President Bolsonaro, a right-wing candidate who pledged to transfer his country’s embassy to Jerusalem, the photo of the two brothers has been re-published.

Robert Mueller Is Planning Something Big For Trump’s Impeachment

Robert Mueller spent months laying in the weeds.

The Economy Does Not Care Who Won The Midterm Elections

Economic function and repair are far beyond the scope of any political body to fix when the dysfunction reaches the point we are at today. To believe otherwise is foolhardy. To believe that the political elites actually want to fix the economy is even more foolhardy. The answer is not replacing one set of political puppets with another set of political puppets, but for regular people to begin localizing their own production and trade — to decouple from dependency on the existing system and start their own system. Only through this, and the removal of the globalist tumor from its position of power and influence, will anything ever change for the better.

Dennis Hof, Dead Brothel Owner, Wins in Nevada Race

A Nevada brothel owner who died in October has won the state’s Assembly District 36 race, according to the Nevada Independent. Dennis Hof managed to posthumously defeat Democratic newcomer Lesia Romanov in the largely Republican rural district that covers Pahrump, his hometown. His win has now sparked a complicated electoral procedure that requires every county commission in the district to nominate a candidate to fill the seat before the chairmen of those commissions take part in a vote on the matter. Thousands of voters in Hof’s hometown outside Las Vegas had reportedly announced their intention to vote for him ahead of the election, with his former campaign manager, Chuck Muth, comparing Hof’s popularity to “Moses.” Signs were posted throughout polling places informing voters that Hof, who’d announced his run months before his death, was no longer among the living. But Republicans in the state had urged voters to support him anyway to prevent the seat from falling to a Democrat.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You've just got to love Nevada politics!!

US voters re-elect lawmakers facing criminal indictments & corruption charges, because why not?

Embarrassing social media photos could easily sink a congressional campaign, but several lawmakers have shown that you can be charged with corruption and embezzlement and still win re-election.
American voters took partisan politics to a whole new level on Tuesday, after Republican congressmen Duncan Hunter and Chris Collins – both of whom face federal indictments for crimes including embezzlement and securities fraud – won re-election. As long as the Democrats don’t win, right?

Another big takeaway tonight: Being under federal indictment is no bar to winning re-election! Just ask Chris Collins and Duncan Hunter. #Midterms2018

— Ben White (@morningmoneyben) November 7, 2018
Hunter, a five-term congressman from California, was charged along with his wife in August of misusing campaign funds totaling more than $250,000.

Webmaster's Commentary:

All I can think of, is the marvelous one-liner by the comedian Ron White: "You can't fix stupid!"

The intellectual acumen of people who continue to vote for liars, thieves, and monsters, indicates to me that they have chosen precisely the reflection of their own deficits they want to see in in office.

FLASHBACK: Here’s What Acting AG Matthew Whitaker Thinks of Rosenstein and the Mueller Investigation

In August of 2017, Matthew Whitaker penned an op-ed for CNN titled, “Mueller’s Investigation of Trump is Going Too Far” wherein he argued the Special Counsel is roving outside of his jurisdiction to investigate Trump-Russia collusion:

According to a CNN article, Mueller’s investigators could be looking into financial records relating to the Trump Organization that are unrelated to the 2016 election. According to these reports, “sources described an investigation that has widened to focus on possible financial crimes, some unconnected to the 2016 election.” The piece goes on to cite law enforcement sources who say non-Russia-related leads that “involve Trump associates” are being referred to the special counsel “to encourage subjects of the investigation to cooperate.”

Fearmongering looks set to trump federal indictment in California congressional race

A fascinating political battle is playing out this week in California, pitting one candidate who has been indicted for misusing hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign funds, against another whose grandfather was involved in the 1972 Munich Olympic massacre of Israeli athletes.

Republican Congressman Duncan D Hunter is running for re-election in the 50th California congressional district, which includes San Diego. Normally, he wouldn’t have a problem. His father, Duncan L Hunter, held the seat for 28 years before the son was elected in his place in 2009. Voters there have been voting for and electing a “Duncan Hunter” and a Republican since 1981. However, that’s not deterring his Democratic challenger, Ammar Campa-Najjar, an American with Palestinian- and Mexican-American parents.

Democratic midterms win: Good for Iran, bad for Israel?

If the Democrats regain control of at least one house of Congress, they would make it harder for Trump to govern and could block further moves he wishes to take against Tehran. For Israel, a Democratic victory could undermine the Trump administration's pressure on the Islamic Republic and pro-Israeli moves.

Pelosi Wants Dems Ready to "Throw a Punch"

Democrats apparently have already forgotten about that whole de-escalating the violent political rhetoric thing. House Minority Queen Bee Nancy Pelosi said her party mates should be ready to "throw a punch" during an Oct. 28 interview with podcaster Jonathan Van Ness. "We are not them," Pelosi said. "We do not act the way they do. But I do think when you are in the area and somebody throws a punch, you've got to be ready [to] take a punch and throw a punch." So much for "uniting" the country and "bringing people together" if Democrats win.
