Marco Rubio and His Colleagues Need a Refresher on the First Amendment

First Amendment rights belong to the people, not the government. The government cannot impose its views on people or punish them for expressing views that the government disagrees with. This principle applies to both individuals and companies doing business with the state, and with full force to politically motivated boycotts. Two federal courts recently affirmed this, blocking laws in Arizona and Kansas that penalized individuals and companies for boycotting Israel. And this principle was famously tested in the McCarthy era, when many state laws required government employees to declare they were not members of the Communist Party or other “subversive groups” in order to keep their jobs.

Democrats v Trump – The Mexican Stand-Off

The reaction from the Democrats and the mainstream media against Trump is really absurd. VOXwrote that he should not even be allowed to address the nation. They wrote: “After watching President Trump’s primetime immigration speech Tuesday, my overwhelming impression was this: Why, oh why, did anyone think it was a good idea to air this on national television?”

Nancy Pelosi Accused of Excluding Progressives From Key Committees

“At first glance, progressives got mostly rolled.”

That was how journalist David Dayen reacted on Wednesday to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) announcement of appointees to three of the most powerful congressional committees, which progressives have targeted as essential for advancing ambitious policy priorities like Medicare for All and a Green New Deal.

Critics immediately pointed out that the bold progressives advocacy groups have been pressuring Pelosi to pick for seats on the Ways and Means Appropriations committees—such as Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), Ro Khanna (Calif.), and Pramila Jayapal (Wash.)—were entirely absent from the House Speaker’s list of assignments.

Senate Democrats Introduce Assault Weapons Ban of 2019

The odds that the bill will make it to the floor of the Senate are long. Republicans control the Senate, and just like Feinstein's previous bills, The Senate leadership will probably table the bill and not let it come to the floor for debate. -- Even if this bill makes it to the floor for a vote, it would need 60 votes to prevent a filibuster. That would mean that 13 Republican would have to cross party lines which seems unlikely.

Gee, Ya Think? Fed Chairman Powell says he is ‘very worried’ about growing amount of U.S. debt

The Fed chief’s comments came as the annual U.S. deficit reaches new sustained highs above $1 trillion, a fact many economists worry could spell trouble for future generations. Annual deficits have topped $1 trillion before, but never during a time of sustained economic growth like now, raising concern about what would happen if a recession hits.

An online disinformation campaign conducted by a former Obama administration official leading up to the 2018 midterm elections was bankrolled by left-wing tech billionaire Reid Hoffman, according to the Daily Caller's Peter Hasson.

Hoffman, who co-founded LinkedIn, admitted in December to funding American Engagement Technologies (AET) - which is currently embroiled in a "false flag" scandal stemming from the 2017 Alabama special election.

First crack in mystery around unnamed foreign company fighting Mueller subpoena as its law firm is revealed to be one used by Russian oligarch

The law firm of Alston & Bird has been identified as being among those taking part in legal battles over a subpoena from Robert Mueller's prosecutors against a mysterious company owned by a foreign government.

Just the identity of the firm constitutes a break in information about the case. It was only tied to the special counsel at first through scraps uncovered by reporters following it.

The identity of the company has been kept under seal, and an entire floor of a federal courthouse in Washington was closed to reporters during one stage to keep the identities of interested parties under wraps.

The firm was outed by CNN as taking part in the case. Alston & Bird is a major national and international law and lobbying firm with offices in Washington and overseas whose most prominent partner is former Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole.

Trump’s blood-curdling anti-migrant rhetoric does him no favors - but the most offensive thing about his wall is the rank hypocrisy of the Democrats who once voted for it!

As so often in modern American politics, it’s the malodorous stench of rank hypocrisy that most poisons the soul.

After last night’s presidential address by Donald Trump about illegal immigration, Democrats – led by Senator Chuck Schumer and Speaker Nancy Pelosi - were utterly united in their collective outrage at his stubborn insistence on building a wall along the southern US-Mexico border.

Fact Check: Real Crisis, Real Victims — Human Costs of an Open Border

During the Democrat response to President Trump’s Oval Office address, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) accused the president of “manufacturing a crisis” at the United States-Mexico border.

In a fact check by Breitbart News, Pelosi’s statement is incorrect. A review of the crime at the southern border, cartel warfare, drug epidemic, deaths from an open border, asylum fraud, and costs to American taxpayers reveal a startling crisis at the border.

Some of that data was cited by Trump in his address, where he noted the American suffering at the hands of illegal aliens nationwide:

Democrats Embrace Anti-Catholic Bigotry

“The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.” —Article VI, U.S. Constitution (emphasis added)

Pushed increasingly leftward by a cadre of new members who demand it, the Democrat Party’s animus toward organized religion is becoming impossible to hide. In one of the more ugly displays of that animus, Senators Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Mazie Hirono (D-HI) attempted to impose their own religious test on Brian Buescher, an Omaha, Nebraska, lawyer nominated by President Donald Trump to sit on the U.S. District Court in that state. Both women asserted that Buescher belonged to an organization that promoted “extremist” views.

Mattis: One More General For The "Self-Licking Ice Cream Cone"

Before he became lionized as the “only adult in the room” capable of standing up to President Trump, General James Mattis was quite like any other brass scoping out a lucrative second career in the defense industry. And as with other military giants parlaying their four stars into a cushy boardroom chair or executive suite, he pushed and defended a sub-par product while on both sides of the revolving door. Unfortunately for everyone involved, that contract turned out to be an expensive fraud and a potential health hazard to the troops.

According to a recent report by the Project on Government Oversight, 25 generals, nine admirals, 43 lieutenant generals, and 23 vice admirals retired to become lobbyists, board members, executives, or consultants for the defense industry between 2008 and 2018. They are part of a much larger group of 380 high-ranking government officials and congressional staff who shifted into the industry in that time.

Leaked internal documents show 36 babies died after receiving this vaccine

Just when you thought the vaccine industry couldn’t get any more depraved, they go and prove you wrong. Recently leaked, confidential documents have revealed that at least 36 infants died following the administration of an 6-in-1 vaccine manufactured by pharma giant GlaxoSmithKline. These tragic deaths took place over the course of just two years.

Initiative Citoyenne, a Belgium-based vaccine activism network, reports that the 1200-page document revealed thousands of adverse reactions occurred during the evaluations which took place between 2009 and 2011. While GlaxoSmithKline’s official report declares that only 14 children died during the 2-year period, Initiative Citoyenne (IC) reports that their own analysis of the data indicates a much higher death toll, closer to 36. IC reports that at least 73 children have died since the Infanrix Hexa vaccine made its debut in 2000.

The internet’s first successful global black market was Silk Road, a website founded by ‘Dread Pirate Roberts,’ the web pseudonym of Ross Ulbricht.

Currently 34 years-old, Ross is serving a double life sentence plus 40 years in federal prison as a political prisoner of the United States. At its root, his crime is that he created a place where people around the world could engage in trade with each other without the oversight of the state. It was an experiment in true privacy and voluntary association that worked so well the state shut it down and inhumanely punished Ross for thinking outside of the statist matrix.

AfD leader blames media smear campaign for ‘assassination attempt’ on state chairman

Magnitz was almost beaten to death by three masked thugs in the northern German city of Bremen. Police said they are treating the incident as a “politically motivated act.”

AfD leader Alice Weidel said “she is completely shocked by this abhorrent act” and partly blames the media for it. According to her the media’s smear campaign against her democratically elected party “finally beared fruit”.

Weidel says “this cowardly attack is to be completely condemned” and “this violence has reached a completely new level”.

The AfD leader also refers to a bombing attack in Döbeln, where an explosive device partly destroyed a local AfD party building.

How a NeoCon-Backed “Fact Checker” Plans to Wage War on Independent Media

Soon after the social media “purge” of independent media sites and pages this past October, a top neoconservative insider — Jamie Fly — was caught stating that the mass deletion of anti-establishment and anti-war pages on Facebook and Twitter was “just the beginning” of a concerted effort by the U.S. government and powerful corporations to silence online dissent within the United States and beyond.

While a few, relatively uneventful months in the online news sphere have come and gone since Fly made this ominous warning, it appears that the neoconservatives and other standard bearers of the military-industrial complex and the U.S. oligarchy are now poised to let loose their latest digital offensive against independent media outlets that seek to expose wrongdoing in both the private and public sectors.

AOC Abandons Truth in Favor of Illegal Immigration

Triggered by President Trump’s Tuesday night immigration address, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) appeared on MSNBC with Rachel Maddow and promptly went off the rails to defend the Left’s open borders agenda. Some of her most notable comments included these gems: “Every day immigrants commit crimes at a far lower rate than everyday Americans” and that the illegal immigrant caravan posted up at our Southern border “are acting more American than any person who seeks to keep them out ever will be.” AOC also doubled down on her previous claims that President Trump is racist. Her remarks were made, somewhat ironically, after she appeared on CBS’ “60 Minutes” to explain that truth is an acceptable casualty in the pursuit of moral superiority.

Anti-BDS Bill Defeated

Some may be happy to learn that the US Senate didn’t pass the ‘anti BDS bill’ on Tuesday. But a look at the vote reveals that America’s politicians are fully removed from the American ethos of freedom. Fifty six mostly Republican Senators, just 4 shy of the 60 needed to pass the bill, voted to enact a law contrary to the Constitutional right to Freedom of Speech as granted by the 1st amendment. The defeated bill included a provision to allow states and local governments to punish Americans who boycott Israel. This was an astonishing and nearly successful attempt to legislate crude government interference with freedom of speech in its most protected form: political speech. The fact that such a bill made it to the floor of the Senate confirms that the American political establishment is an occupied zone committed to silencing opposition to Israel and its lobby.

Kamala Harris Reportedly Running for President

California Senator Kamala Harris has reportedly decided to run for president, joining what many think will be a crowded 2020 Democrat field.

Though it’s only January of 2019, Harris isn’t the first high-profile Democrat to announce her intention to run for president. Massachusetts Senator and racial chameleon Elizabeth Warren announced her campaign just before the new year, getting out in front of what’s going to be a clown car of a primary.
