Soyuz Rocket Launch Failure Forces Emergency Landing for US-Russian Space Station Crew

A Russian Soyuz rocket carrying a new U.S.-Russian crew to the International Space Station failed during its ascent Thursday (Oct. 11), sending its crew capsule falling back toward Earth in a ballistic re-entry, NASA officials said.

A search-and-rescue team has reached the landing site, both crewmembers are in good condition and have left the Soyuz capsule as of 6:10 a.m. EDT, NASA spokesperson Brandi Dean said during live television commentary. Russian space agency Roscosmos has released photographs of both astronauts being checked over after their abrupt landing.

Almost like Columbia: Two crew members dodge death by an inch in botched Russian space launch

A botched launch of the Russian spaceship Soyuz narrowly avoided becoming the latest fatal space incident on Thursday. Rescue systems managed to save the lives of two crew members and conduct an emergency landing.

The Soyuz-MS-10 spacecraft was meant to deliver Roscosmos’ Aleksey Ovchinin and NASA astronaut Nick Hague, members of Expedition 57/58, to the International Space Station (ISS). But 119 seconds after take-off from the Baikonur launch site in Kazakhstan the Soyuz-FG launch vehicle experienced a malfunction and crew rescue protocols were engaged.

Soyuz MS-10 Lands in Kazakhstan, Crew Feels Well - Roscosmos Head

A Soyuz MS-10 spacecraft atop a Soyuz FG rocket manned by a team of two cosmonauts was set to deliver a team to the International Space Station (ISS).

Chief of Russian state space corporation Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin has commented on the Soyuz MS-10 emergency landing, saying that the Soyuz crew had landed safely and everyone was alive.

"The crew has landed. All are alive," Dmitry Rogozin wrote on Twitter.

Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin has departed for the emergency landing site of the Soyuz crew, Roscosmos said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the crew has left Kazakhstan for Moscow.

Foreign Weapons Get a Closer Look as the Pentagon Races to Rearm

Deep inside the Washington Convention Center, underneath the bright-white-and-red logo of one of America’s biggest defense firms, sat a green-hulled armored vehicle with a curiously angular gun housing — and an even more curious pitch for customers who generally buy American.

Raytheon has high hopes for the Lynx, a new fighting vehicle designed by Rheinmetall in Germany — and perhaps one day, manufactured in the United States. And as the Pentagon begins to prioritize speed of acquisition over its traditional protectionism, this maker of missiles, rocket interceptors, and cyber defenses is placing bets on foreign partners with state-of-the-art products.

“For us, this is sort of a change in speed and direction for Raytheon,” said Richard Harris, vice president of business development for the company’s Land Warfare Systems division.

Kiev Preparing Provocation Against Russian Border Guard In The Azov Sea, Warn Sources

Ukraine is preparing a provocation in the Sea of ??Azov with the aim of discrediting the Russian Border Guard, a source in the Crimea claimed.

“On October 11, agents of the Ukrainian Border Service plan to organize the departure of a patrol vessel from the port of Mariupol to the Sea of ??Azov with a group of Ukrainian media journalists on board. A video report on alleged aggressive actions by the Border Guard of the Russian Federal Security Service in relation to Ukrainian civilian vessels as well as on the blockade of Ukrainian seaports in the Azov Sea are being reported,” the source said.

Recently, Crimean leader Sergei Aksenov has reported that the Russian Border Guard has tightened control over the waters of the Black and Azov seas because of naval maneuvers by Ukrainian military personnel .

Russia Isn't Turning Libya Into the 'New Syria' But It Wouldn't Hurt if It Tried

The UK Sun published a scandalous report alleging that Russia is trying to turn Libya into a “new Syria”, but objectively speaking and overlooking the unverified claims made in the piece, it wouldn’t be a bad thing if Moscow tried.

Establishment Media Has Abandoned Objectivity and Engages Mostly in Agenda-Pushing

After reading The New York Times piece “The Plot to Subvert an Election” I put the paper down with a single question.

Why, after two years of allegations, indictments, and claims to proof of this, that, and the other did the newspaper of record—well, once the newspaper of record—see any need to publish such a piece? My answer is simple: The orthodox account of Russia-gate has not taken hold: It has failed in its effort to establish a consensus of certainty among Americans. My conclusion matches this observation: The orthodox narrative is never going to achieve this objective. There are too many holes in it.

Israel will continue Syria strikes despite S-300, Netanyahu tells Moscow

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he told Russia’s vice premier in talks on Tuesday that Israel must continue to hit hostile targets in neighboring Syria, despite Moscow’s decision to equip Damascus with advanced air defense missiles.

Netanyahu said at a press conference that he told Maxim Akimov in talks in Jerusalem that Israel would continue to fight what it says are Iranian attempts to entrench itself militarily in Syria and channel advanced weaponry to its Lebanese ally, the Hezbollah terror group.

Despite the delivery of the S-300 air defense systems to the Syrian military, Israel was committed as a matter of self-defense to continue its “legitimate activity in Syria against Iran and its proxies, which state their intention to destroy us,” Netanyahu said.

Researchers: No Evidence That Russia Is Messing With Campaign 2018—Yet

All eyes are peeled for foreign interference in November’s elections. But amid the Senate hearings on election security and indictments, the warning sirens and reports, experts in computer security and influence operations are quietly acknowledging an elephant in the room, or, more accurately, a bear that isn’t. With just 28 days to go before the midterm elections, they haven’t found any evidence yet of direct Russian interference in 2018’s races.

S-300s in Syria Will Be Able to 'See' America's 5th-Gen Jets

The delivery of Russia's S-300s to Syria has prompted US media to speculate that the US Air Force may deploy its F-22 stealth fighters to take out the country's air defenses. Meanwhile, Washington also promised to supply Israel with more F-35s. But will the 5th gen planes be able to evade the Russian air defense system? Not likely, analysts say.

Referring to the S-300 deployment as a "token capability" and suggesting that the Pentagon might employ its F-22s and F-16CJ Vipers to suppress or destroy Syria's air defenses, as they were prepared to do at the start of the US campaign of airstrikes in Syria and Iraq in 2014, The Drive argued that the US "may have to return to such tactics" after the delivery of the Russian air defense system.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is the worst possible nightmare for both the US government and its military industrial complex; that the alleged "stealthiness" of the F-35 isn't really that stealthy at all, and could prove to be fatally flawed, for all the world to see, if they try this.

But what deeply concerns me, here, is that there is still talk in the US press about potentially taking out the Russian S-300s in Syria with other types of fighter jets; this would, incontrovertibly, be an act of war against the sovereign nations of Syria and Russia, and one which Russia's President Putin would almost have to answer in kind.

“Painful processes” cannot be avoided: Ukraine official on ukrainianizing Donbas

Deputy Minister for temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons, former head of the Luhansk military and civil administration George Tuka shared his vision of the Ukrainianization of Donbas. "This is a very complex issue. What we're seeing now is the consequences of the lack of the state policy in relation to these regions throughout the history of an independent Ukraine. It would be too irresponsible to offer some kind of recipe that would yield a change in mentality of the population in two or three years. But never say never… Not long ago, the share of supporters of the idea of Ukraine joining NATO was about 10-15%, now it is almost 50%. And this is under the conditions of the lack of information policy regarding NATO," Tuka said, answering a reader's question during a live chat at Glavred.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I don't know this guy from Adam, but the fact that he is championing dialogue over combat, gives me the sense that he is committed to a peaceful resolution with the breakaway republics.

I would like to hope that there is a possibility that his vision for Ukraine can be realized.

But unfortunately for Deputy Minister Tuka, there are far too many in the Bowels of Power, globally, who are hell-bent on seeing the conflict in Ukraine ultimately erupting into a shooting war with Russia.

Russia drawing up plans for Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un to talk

Russia is drawing up plans to host a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Moscow, according to the Kremlin.

Last month, Mr Putin invited Mr Kim to visit his country but details about where and when the talks could take place have yet to be decided.

The latest comments from the Kremlin come after a visit by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to North Korea.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This once again proves Russia's President Putin to be one of the "smartest guys in the room" when it comes to geopolitics, and the importance of booming economies trumping war every possible time.

Mining in North Korea

This article states:

"Mining in North Korea is important to the country's economy. North Korea is naturally abundant in metals such as magnesite, zinc, tungsten, and iron; with magnesite resources of 6 billion tonnes (second largest in the world), particularly in the Hamgyeong-do and Jagang-do provinces. However, often these cannot be mined due to the acute shortage of electricity in the country, as well as the lack of proper tools to mine these materials and an antiquated industrial base.

North Korea has reserves of more than 200 mineral types distributed over 80% of its territory with ten reserves recording large deposits of magnetite, tungsten ore, graphite, gold ore, and molybdenum. Among the largest resources with more than 2 million tons of estimated reserve are: Zinc which tops the list with 21 million tons of estimated resource; followed by non-metallic resource of 21 million tons of limestone and magnesite 6 million tons; and other mineral sources such as iron 5 million tons, anthracite 5 million tons, copper 3 million tons, barite 2 million tons, gold and graphite also 2 million tons each.[1]"

In this upcoming meeting, Putin will stress that Russia will be willing, and is able, to provide the infrastructure, equipment ,and engineering know-how to make sure that the potential financial wealth provided by these resources can now be realized, provided that Russia gets a reasonable "hunk of the action" in return for making the people, and the government, of North Korea far more prosperous.

I think that this potential proposal will be win/win music to Kim Jung Un's ears.

What a wonderful way to encourage peace, trade and civility.

US officials have frozen the US assets of the curious Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, The New York Post reports, including his sprawling mansion on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

Deripaska bought the East Side property for $42.5 million in 2008, property records show.

FBI agents tried unsuccessfully to flip Deripaska in exchange for information on Russian organized crime — and Russia’s aid to President Trump’s 2016 campaign, the New York Times reported last month.

Deripaska previously had worked on a “thwarted effort” to rescue an FBI agent who had been captured in Iran, the Times reported.

UKRAINE EVACUATING 10,000 AFTER AMMO DEPOT BLASTS

Multiple blasts and an ensuing fire at an ammunition depot in northern Ukraine has prompted the compulsory evacuation of nearly 10,000 people in the area.

The fiery incident occurred early Tuesday morning at a Ukrainian Defense Ministry depot near the city of Chernigov, about 180 kilometers east of the Ukrainian capital of Kiev, officials said.

The area was placed on lockdown for air and land travel immediately following the explosions, they added.

No casualties have so far been reported as a result of the incident, and it was not instantly clear whether the blasts were the outcome of an accident or sabotage.

According to a statement by Ukraine’s emergency services, the airspace within a 20-kilometer radius of the military site has been closed and road and rail transport in the immediate vicinity has also been suspended.

UKRAINE LAUNCHES LARGE-SCALE AIR DRILLS WITH US AND OTHER NATO COUNTRIES

Ukrainian officials announced the beginning of the Clear Sky 2018 operation in the west of Ukraine. The operation centers on warplanes focusing on coordinated air defense, with Ukraine presenting it as preparation to “protect the airspace” from Russia.

The US and several other NATO nations are participating in this operation, which is to last until October 19. Ukraine emphasized the idea of coordination with Poland and Romania, two nations that they border.

Ukraine has been keen to push the idea that Russia is an imminent military threat to them, to the point where for the past several years, top Ukrainian officials have suggested World War 3 will start over Ukrainian territory.

RUSSIA CLAIMS ‘MISUNDERSTANDING’ LED TO ARRESTS OF FOUR SPIES IN HOLLAND

On Monday, Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov dismissed Washington’s accusations against the GRU and said that the Dutch authorities had overreacted in detaining the four Russian officers in April. Following a meeting in Moscow with his Italian counterpart Enzo Moavero Milanesi, Lavrov said that the visit of the four GRU officers in Holland had been “customary”, adding that “there was nothing clandestine in it”. The GRU specialists were in Holland in order to secure computer servers used at the Russian embassy there. “They were not trying to hide from anyone once they arrived at the airport”, said Lavrov. They then “checked into a hotel and paid a visit to our embassy”, he added. Had they been engaged in espionage, the men would have taken strict precautions, said the Russian foreign affairs minister. They were eventually “detained by Dutch police without any reason or explanations, and were not allowed to contact our embassy”, said Lavrov.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to doubt seriously that GRU had anything to do this; if it is anything that Moscow understands about spycraft, it is that it needs to be subtle, so as to not be detected, and the whole thing about the images of the car "...equipped with WiFi antennas and transformers..." may well have been photoshopped, after these people were arrested.

SYRIAN WAR REPORT – OCTOBER 9, 2018: SYRIA GOT 24 S-300 LAUNCHERS, OVER 300 MISSILES

The Syrian military received three battalion sets of S-300PM missile systems, including 24 missile launchers, from the Russian military, the Russian state-run news agency TASS reported on October 8 citing a diplomatic source. According to the same source, the Syrians also received over 300 surface-to-air missiles. All these were delivered free of charge.

On the same day, the Turkish state media declared that Idlib militant groups had completed withdrawal of their heavy weapons, including Grad rocket launchers, mortars and medium-range missiles, from the demilitarized zone.

According to remarks and statements made by representatives of the Turkish-backed coalition of militant groups known as the National Front for Liberation (NFL), NFL members will remain at their positions in the demilitarized zone. Georgia Rejects Russian Attempts to Make Peace, Moscow Says

Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Grigory Karasin, has blamed the country of Georgia for upsetting attempts to make peace and restore diplomatic ties in the wake of the 2008 conflict.

"Tbilisi has turned down all our offers to restore diplomatic ties and continues its hostile actions against us on the international scale, contributing to the NATO strategy of containing Russia," he told the Izvestia newspaper.

The countries fell out in August 2008 after Tbilisi sent troops to breakaway South Ossetia, where many have Russian passports. Russia sent in troops to protect its citizens and soon recognized the independence of two regions in Georgia's north, prompting the latter to break off ties.

UK SENDING 800 TROOPS TO THE ARCTIC TO TARGET RUSSIA

The British Defense Secretary announced that 800 commandos are being deployed into Norway starting next year, and continuing every winter for at least a decade. The troops will join US and Dutch troops there, and are targeting Russia.

Speaking before travelling to Birmingham to make the speech, Mr Williamson said:

“We see Russian submarine activity very close to the level that it was at the Cold War, and it’s right that we start responding to that.

“If we could turn back the clock 10 years many people thought that the era of submarine activity in the High North, in the North Atlantic, and the threat that it posed did disappear with the fall of the Berlin Wall. This threat has really come back to the fore.”

The program is built around claims of Russian aggression, and the idea that global warming will lead Russia to stake out new claims in the far north, near where old Soviet-era bases exist, for natural resources.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The goal of this continuous deployment, is aggravating Russia until its leadership does something colossally stupid; and what the British military and civilian leadership have conveniently forgotten, is that, at least under Putin's watch, this probably won't happen.

Putin, on the international stage, and in real life, is a consummate chess player, and is at least 20 moves ahead of anything the US and UK can possibly do to deter him.

The UK is practicing cyberattacks that could black out Moscow

British defense officials say they have practiced cyber war games that could shut off electricity in Russia’s capital, the Sunday Times (paywall) reports.

The measures are part of a wider range of strategies to hit back at an increasingly assertive Russia—accused of interfering with US elections, cyberattacks on Western targets, and poisoning a former spy on UK soil—without resorting to a full-blown nuclear attack.

“If they sank our aircraft carrier with a nuclear-tipped torpedo, what is our response? There’s nothing between sinking their submarine and dropping a nuclear weapon on northern Kamchatka,” one senior source told the Sunday Times. “This is why cyber is so important; you can go on the offensive and turn off the lights in Moscow to tell them that they are not doing the right things.”

UKRAINE: WE LACK THE MONEY & WEAPONS TO FINISH EVEN ONE NAVAL MISSILE CRUISER
“Unfortunately, I cannot advise any positive solution, because in reality the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot afford to have such a high-class ship from the point of view of price, to finish its assembly and to use it fully,” he said in an interview with a Ukrainian edition.

According to him, the construction of the cruiser could “significantly increase the capabilities” of Ukraine in the Black Sea. However, it acknowledged that even if it receives the necessary resources, the country will not be able to guarantee its equipment, since it does not have the necessary anti-aircraft defense, monitoring, fire control and anti-missile defense systems.

In 1998, the authorities tried to complete the construction, but faced a shortage of resources. Then the possibility of selling the ship to Russia was discussed. Already in 2013, the Ukrainian side proposed to finalize the construction of the ship by passing it onto Russian companies, but could not reach agreement with Moscow.

In March 2017, Pyotr Poroshenko signed a decree on the use of the cruiser for civil purposes.

This comes as relations between Kiev and Moscow have been strained since the right-wing coup in 2014.>>>

How The U.S. Runs Public Relations Campaigns Against Russia And China

US Rotates To Ukraine As Location To Start Conflict With Russia

The United States Government is now treating Ukraine as if it were a NATO member, and on September 27th donated to Ukraine two warships for use against Russia. This is the latest indication that the US is switching to Ukraine as the locale to start World War III, and from which the nuclear war is to be sparked against Russia, which borders Ukraine.

Here is why Syria is no longer the US alliance’s preferred choice as a place to start WW III:

On September 4th, US President Donald Trump publicly threatened Syria, Iran and Russia that if they exterminated the jihadists in Syria’s only remaining jihadist-controlled province, Idlib, then the US might launch a full-scale invasion against Syria, Iran and Russia in Syria. Either the US or Russia would then quickly escalate to nuclear war so as not to lose in Syria — that would be the conventional-war start to World War III.

America’s ‘Kagans’ Push for War with Russia

Etymology, or the study of where words come from, can be a fascinating topic.

Yesterday I put up a post which contained a description of Victoria Nuland as Obama’s “hit lady,” and which mentioned also that Nuland is married to Jewish neocon Robert Kagan.

It’s interesting to take a look at the word “kagan” in terms of its etymology. Is the word perhaps derived from another language? Did its use originate in another country?

The answer to that is yes on both counts. The words comes from Khazaria, a kingdom which once existed in what is today Ukraine and which underwent a mass conversion to Judaism in about the 8th or 9th century AD. Ashkenazi Jews today are descendents of the Khazars, and as I discussed in an article I wrote last year, the leader or head of state of the Khazar kingdom was not referred to as a “king”, but rather as the “kagan.”

Trump’s March to War with Iran

War with Iran would be a painful and pointless disaster. It would make the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan look like warm-up acts. It would cost trillions of dollars, kill tens of thousands of people and destabilize an already volatile region. It would trigger a global recession as oil prices spike and uncertainty collapses markets. It would also drive the spread of nuclear weapons and increase the risk of nuclear weapons use.

War would not in any conceivable scenario lead to the establishment of a popular, democratic, and pro-Western government in Iran. With war would come chaos. If the current regime were to fall, the power would pass not to demonstrators in the streets but to those with the guns—the Revolutionary Guard. In all likelihood, war would bring to power a more virulent, more dictatorial, and more anti-American regime than the current one in Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why is President Trump making these moves right now?!?

Because it was a promise given to both Sheldon Adelson, the man who owns Middle East Foreign policy, due to giving President Trump maximum financial support possible, and his other BFF in the Middle East, Prime Minister Netanyahu, along with the promise to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Unfortunately, President Trump is no master military strategist, and he keeps on drinking the grade-A koolaid from his military advisers, that this would actually be a winnable war.

And the question which should keep some people in the bowels of power in DC awake at night is this; if President Trump goes into Iran, what will Russia, its long time friend and trading partner do?!?

My suggestion is that just as it has for Syria, Russia will assist Iran militarily against the US; so just how does that change the equation???

Mattis: US to Respond to ‘Blatant’ Russia Violation of Arms Treaty

Just days after US Ambassador Kay Bailey Hutchison threatened to start a war against Russia by preemptively destroying a certain type of Russian missiles over a perceived violation of the Intermediate Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty, Defense Secretary James Mattis is continuing the saber-rattling.

Mattis claimed Russia is “in blatant violation” of INF, and that the US will not allow the “cavalier disregard” to continue. He says the US is reviewing a series of potential diplomatic and military options to be taken about it, and that not taking action is “untenable.”

The INF treaty issue has been ongoing for years, with the US objecting to a certain Russian test. Russia insists the missiles in no way violate INF, and there appears to have been little attempt to discuss the matter at all between the two countries, with the US just claiming violations in increasingly desperate terms, and threatening to take what would seem to be very reckless actions in response.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Does Mattis have any specifics to which he can refer when talking to the American people?!?!

Because in my world, particularly when you are dealing with a world power, as Russia is, you had better have some very specific reasons for making these accusations, or you will make yourself look like a laughing stock, and potentially find yourself on the receiving end of a world war.

US Openly Threatens Russia with War: Goodbye Diplomacy, Hello Stone Age

US Ambassador to NATO Kay Bailey Hutchison is a highly placed diplomat. Her words, whatever they may be, are official, which includes the ultimatums and threats that have become the language increasingly used by US diplomats to implement the policy of forceful persuasion or coercive diplomacy. Bellicose declarations are being used this way as a tool.

Russia Tests New Kh-35U Unified Cruise Missile

According to Russian media reports, the new Kh-35U, the most recent variant of the Kh-35 anti-ship missile, was successfully test-fired in late September at a naval test range belonging to the Pacific Fleet. A formation of eight unmanned vessels was the target used during the training. The launching platform was the Su-34 long-range strike plane. According to the Defense Ministry, “all in all, eight launches were carried out, and all the missiles successfully hit their targets.”

Russia’s Heavy Caliber Artillery Is Back in Service

Last year, Lieutenant-General Mikhail Matveyevsky, Commander of Russia’s Army Missile Troops and Artillery, stated that Russia’s ground forces will have 50-100% more firepower by 2021. The upgrade of these “old warriors” that have been taken out of storage is underway, along with the addition of new systems. Brand-new equipment is being installed. Barrels, recoil mechanisms, and other components are being replaced or refitted.

More Cold War Extremism and Crises

Emphasizing growing Cold War extremism in Washington and war-like crises in US-Russian relations elsewhere, Cohen comments on the following examples:

Russiagate, even though none of its core allegations have been proven, is now a central part of the new Cold War, severely limiting President Trump’s ability to conduct crisis-negotiations with Moscow and further vilifying Russian President Putin for having ordered “an attack on America” during the 2016 presidential election. The New York Times and The Washington Post have been leading promoters of the Russiagate narrative, even though several of its foundational elements have been seriously challenged, even discredited.

US SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR’S IDIOTIC IDEA FOR NAVAL BLOCKADE AGAINST RUSSIAN ENERGY SUPPLIES (VIDEO)

The Washington Examiner reported that US Internal Secretary Ryan Zinke said that the United States could use its Navy to prevent Russia’s potential energy supplies to the Middle East.

Zinke alleged that Russia’s engagement in Syria is in actuality a pretext to explore new energy markets.

“I believe the reason they are in the Middle East is they want to broker energy just like they do in eastern Europe, the southern belly of Europe,” Zinke reportedly said.

According to Zinke, a US blockade of Russian energy exports is a good way to deal with Russia’s energy distribution…

Webmaster's Commentary:

Such an act would immediately be construed as an act of war by Russia; apparently, Zinke playing his fantasy computer game in his head, called "Git Russia!) did not ever think this approach through at all.

MATTIS SAYS RUSSIAN GRU CAUGHT RED-HANDED HACKING OPCW, VOWS CYBER SUPPORT TO ALLIES

Russia is facing new multiple wide-ranging charges of hacking as Western officials on Wednesday alleged its intelligence agencies conducted four high profile cyber attacks, including an attempt to spy on the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), which is the independent body responsible for investigating chemical attacks in Syria and in the UK.

The OPCW is headquartered the Netherlands, and according to breaking reports a group that the Dutch government has alleged are Russian operatives may have been caught red-handed in the act.

Moscow has dismissed the charges as but more "Western spy mania" while leveling its own accusations that the Pentagon is conducting an illegal and dangerous germ and bio-weapons research program near Russia's borders.

The four suspects identified by Dutch officials had diplomatic passports and included two IT experts and two support agents, officials said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The timing of the leveling of these charges, coupled with the very clumsy way in which the evidence was left out for US, Dutch, and NATO operatives to find, and hurtle down the "J'accuse!" was just too cute.

And please remember this; this happened just 24 hours after Mattis had told NATO that he would give them the best of the US's spycraft, if they wanted and needed it.

Things appear to be moving, geopolitically, between Russia, NATO, and the US which is going to lead to war, unless someone mans up, and draws these geopolitical competitors away from the abyss of war. This article from SouthFront, datelined June of this year, demonstrating what NATO and the West's plans are for Ukraine, and what has been done to move that agenda along:

US Involvement in Ukraine: NATO expansion through proxy war

There is a chance, growing exponentially, that NATO and the US are planning to test Moscow with attacks on the breakaway republics, like Donbass, which do not want to submit again to Ukrainian control.

An article appearing in Tass just yesterday seems to confirm this, in a very jarring manner:

Kiev moving air defense systems to contact line in Donbass — Russian OSCE envoy

The timing of this move, I think, may well be gravely significant, and augur
badly for peace in the region.

Then, we have current developments in Syria, which require serious consideration and attention.

This morning, courtesy of blacklistednews.com, we have the following headline:

US Sends Marines into Eastern Syria to join major battle. The article goes on to state:

"US Marines are now being sent into the area to join the ground offensive. Previously, the US was offering only air support. This is the first ground troop deployment of this latest military push.

So we now have documented evidence of US boots on the ground in Syria; it is only a matter of time before we have Russian and Syrian troops tangling with US troops, and there appears to be no deconfliction area for where these troops are fighting.

So, we have one potential theatre of war in and around Ukraine, with the other in Syria, where Israel has vowed to strike again against any Iranian units on the ground might be, in spite of Russia having installed their truly capable S-300 defensive system for the Syrians.

What could possibly go wrong?!?

Bloody everything!!!

US & allies hit Russia with coordinated avalanche of hacking accusations. Here are the allegations.

Russia has dismissed the allegations as a coordinated media attack timed to coincide with a NATO meeting on cyber-warfare. The Russian ambassador to Britain, Alexander Yakovenko, said that the accusations, together with a lack of proof, are intended to tarnish Russia's reputation.

“We see a well-coordinated campaign to discredit Russia. Of course, from my point of view that’s unacceptable,” he said.

Reacting directly to Hunt’s accusations, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the "diabolical perfume cocktail" of new allegations must be the product of someone with a “rich imagination".

Russian Interference in Western Politics? What About Israel, Saudi Arabia and UAE?

First, it is likely the scale and effectiveness of Russian interventions has been greatly exaggerated.

“The simplistic narrative that basically imagines that a bunch of subliterate-in-English trolls posting mostly static and sort of absurd advertising could have influenced American public opinion to such an extent that it fundamentally changed American politics is ridiculous on the face of it,” argued Masha Gessen, a US-Russian journalist and outspoken critic of Vladimir Putin, when asked about Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election by National Public Radio.

“I feel a lot of pressure … from interviewers and from people to kind of blow up the threat,” said New Yorker’s Adrian Chen, one of the first to write about Russian internet trolls, agreeing with Gessen.

Russian TV Releases Footage Of S-300 Battery Being Offloaded In Syria

Christmas came early this year for Syria's Assad as Russia yesterday confirmed delivery of its feared S-300 surface-to-air missile system.

And on Wednesday Russian TV aired footage and provided photos of what are unmistakably the S-300 missiles being offloaded large cargo transport planes in Syria.

The nighttime footage shows the hardware being unloaded from the cargo door of the massive Antonov An-124 Ruslan, also called 'the Condor', which is known to be able to carry a payload of 120 tons.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu had told Putin on Tuesday in a televised meeting, "The work was finished a day ago," and that the transfer includes 49 pieces of military hardware.

US Charges 7 Alleged Russian Military Intel Officers Over Hacking OPCW, WADA

Earlier in the day, the Netherlands stated that the United States was going to announce charges against some "Russian intelligence agents." Moscow has yet to comment on the US charges.

The US Justice Department has announced charges against seven alleged Russian military intelligence officials it accuses of hacking doping agencies and other international organizations.

"We announce an indictment charging seven Russian military officers with violation of several US criminal laws for malicious cyber activites against the United States and its allies," Assistant Attorney General for National Security John Demers told reporters.

According to the DOJ, WADA, the OPCW, USADA, Westinghouse nuclear power company, which provides power to Ukraine, at least 250 athletes and sports figures from different countries were allegedly targeted by Russian intelligence officers; they also ostensibly targeted a Canadian anti-doping agency.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In the United States, the presumption of innocence is paramount to the judicial process.

But why would these people be doing this now?!? There is something not right about the timing, and linking this all together, as a further demonization of Russia.

What is the US going to claim next, accusing Russia of having a "death star"?!?!?

It is almost as though, with the thorough demonization of Russia, China, and Iran, that the US Deep State is trying to find the most popular "villain" the American people would not mind having a war against, and this is a really lousy way to run foreign policy.

Israeli Minister: S-300 Systems 'Cannot Detect Our Stealth Fighters'

Israeli stealth fighters will be able to avoid being hit by the S-300 missile systems that have just been supplied to Syria by Russia and can possibly destroy them right on the ground, an Israeli official said.

“You know that we have stealth fighters, the best planes in the world. These batteries are not even able to detect them," Tzachi Hanegbi, the country's regional cooperation minister and a non-voting member of its security cabinet, said on Wednesday, referring to the F-35 Joint Strike Fighters that Israel has been getting from the US.

"The operational abilities of the air force are such that those (S-300) batteries really do not constrain the air force's abilities to act," Hanegbi told Israel's Army Radio.

On Tuesday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Moscow had delivered S-300 missile systems to Syria in order to increase the security of Russian military personnel in the country.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The real unknown, and the primal nightmare, for American and Israeli military is, what if these S-300s are equipped to successfully detect stealth technology?!?

US Turns World War III Ambitions Towards Ukraine as Syria Plans Unravel

The United States Government is now treating Ukraine as if it were a NATO member, and on September 27th donated to Ukraine two warships for use against Russia. Kay Bailey Hutchison Must Resign– because starting World War III isn’t what Americans voted for

by Justin Raimondo Posted on October 04, 2018
How crazy-stupid do you have to be to get up there on the podium and openly threaten Russia with a “preemptive” first strike? You don’t have to be Kay Bailey Hutchison, but it helps.

Our “Ambassador” to NATO – as if NATO is an actual country rather than a supra-national parasite – claims that Moscow is in violation of the INF treaty, and that, while she’s willing to give diplomacy a try, she is “prepared to consider a military strike if development of the medium-range system continued.”

So now the “Ambassador” to NATO is empowered to start World War III. Next we’ll have the Postmaster General ordering an invasion of Iran. The Ambassadress has exceeded her authority and caused an international incident that may come to haunt us: certainly she has endangered us all. In a civilized country like Japan, she would literally fall on her sword, but I’ll settle for her resignation.

How Come Individual American Politicians are Eager to Jump the Nuclear Gun

Lately, the rhetoric voiced by the majority of high-profile American politicians has become so extreme that one can start suspecting them of getting exposed to some dangerous chemical substance that causes severe neurological damage, as there’s no logical explanation why would they make repeated calls to launch a war against Russia, a major nuclear power.

For instance, at an industry event in Pittsburgh, US interior secretary Ryan Zinke announced that the American Navy can blockade Russia to keep it from controlling energy supplies in the Middle East as it does in Europe. All things considered, it’s a rather queer way to approach future negotiations with Russia over the future of Syria and the Middle East in general.

US Switching to Ukraine as Location to Start World War III Against Russia

The leaders of Russia, Iran, Turkey, and Syria (Putin, Rouhani, Erdogan, and Assad), agreed in two meetings, one on September 7th and the other on September 17th, to (as I had recommended on September 10th) transfer control of Syria’s only remaining jihadist-controlled province, Idlib, to NATO-member Turkey. This action effectively prevents the US alliance from going to war against Russia if Russia’s alliance (which includes Syria) obliterates all the jihadist groups in the Al-Qaeda-led Syrian province Idlib. For the US to war against Russia there would also be war against fellow-NATO-member Turkey — out of the question.

US Threat of Preemptive Strike on Russia ‘Impossible to Take Seriously’

After widespread scrutiny of her comment on a preemptive strike, Hutchison took to Twitter to deny that she had threatened any such thing. "I was not talking about preemptively striking Russia," she said. It is difficult to imagine how else a threat to destroy a missile system before it's up and running can be characterized, however.

Sleboda pointed out that Russia has accused the US of being in violation of the very same treaty. Russia, however, has "good grounds" for the allegation, Sleboda said.

"As far as the INF Treaty is concerned, the situation is evident in which the United States and some of its allies are knowingly violating it, in particular by deploying on their territories the Mk-41 launching systems capable of firing the ground-based cruise missiles," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said in August.

“Systems capable of combating precision weapons-guided bombs and missiles … will be added to the conventional radar protection systems,” he added.

Mikheyev pointed out that Moscow is planning to strengthen its own defence systems which could include the instalment of aerosol smokescreens which make airplanes invisible to missiles.

R-E-S-PE-C-T: US Threat of Preemptive Strike on Russia ‘Impossible to Take Seriously’

US Envoy to NATO Kay Bailey Hutchison threatened on Tuesday to “take out” banned cruise missiles allegedly in development in Russia before they become operational.

Moscow denies they are developing a medium-range ground-launched system in violation of the Cold War era Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty.

But should the alleged system become operational, "At that point, we would be looking at the capability to take out a missile that could hit any of our countries," Hutchison told reporters, referring to European allies of the US. "Countermeasures would be to take out the missiles that are in development by Russia in violation of the treaty."

International relations and security analyst Mark Sleboda didn't mince words when analyzing the envoy's remarks in an interview with Radio Sputnik's Loud & Clear. Hutchison "just threatened a preemptive attack on Russia. That's what she did today, and she said it twice — she doubled down on it," he said.

State Dept Warns of 'Serious Escalation' if Russia Sent S-300 to Syria

The US State Department said that if Russia sent its S-300 air defence systems to Syria, it would lead to a "serious escalation."

The United States hopes Russia did not deploy S-300 air defense systems in Syria because that would lead to a serious escalation of the situation, US Department of State spokesperson Heather Nauert said during a press briefing on Tuesday.

"I cannot confirm that that is accurate. I hope that they did not, that would be a serious escalation and concern," Nauert said when asked about the administration's reaction to reports Russia sent S-300 systems to Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Department of State Spokesperson Nauert, a word please: can you possibly manage to not be quite so behind the reality curve here?!? As of today, 2 October, Russia has made that statement that it has delivered the S-300 system to Syria.

US Threatens To Destroy Russian Nuclear-Capable Missile System If Necessary

U.S. Ambassador to NATO Kay Bailey Hutchison on Tuesday warned that the U.S. could be forced to "take out" missiles Russia is developing that violate a Cold War-era treaty. If completed, the 9M729 Russian missile system could give it the capability to launch a missile strike on Europe with little or no notice, the Associated Press reported.

"It is time now for Russia to come to the table and stop the violations," Hutchison told reporters in Brussels, where US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis would later meet his NATO counterparts. She added that if the system became operational, the U.S. "would then be looking at the capability to take out a missile that could hit any of our countries in Europe and hit America."

One Click Closer to Nuclear Annihilation

There are a number of things exaggerated or incorrect in Trump’s description of Iran as well as in the conclusions he draws. The Middle East and other adjacent Muslim countries are in chaos because the United States has destabilized the region starting with the empowering of the Islamist Mujaheddin in the war against Soviet Afghanistan in the 1980s. It then invaded Afghanistan in 2001 followed by Iraq in 2003, enabling the rise of ISIS and giving local al-Qaeda affiliates a new lease on life, before turning on Damascus with the Syria Accountability Act later in the same year and then destroying the Libyan government under Barack Obama. These were, not coincidentally, policies promoted by Israel that received, as a result, bipartisan support in Congress.

Russian Mig-31 spotted with a mystery weapon that could be a nightmare for the US military

Planespotters found a Russian Mig-31 Foxhound taking off with a never-before-seen mystery weapon that could likely have an anti-satellite role, meaning it's a nightmare for the US military.

The Foxhound is a 1980s Soviet fighter that remains one of the fastest and highest flying jets ever built. It's ability to push Mach 3 near the edge of space with large weapons payloads makes it an ideal platform for firing anti-satellite missiles, which Russia appears to have tested in September.

One Click Closer to Annihilation

The nuclear war doomsday clock maintained on the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists website has advanced to two minutes before midnight, the closest point to possible atomic apocalypse since the end of the Cold War. In 1995 the clock was at fourteen minutes to midnight, but the opportunity to set it back even further was lost as the United States and its European allies took advantage of a weakened Russia to advance NATO into Eastern Europe, setting the stage for a new cold war, which is now underway.

It is difficult to imagine how the United States might avoid a new war in the Middle East given the recent statements that have come out of Washington, and, given that the Russians are also active in the region, a rapid and massive escalation of something that starts out as a minor incident should not be ruled out.

U.S. would destroy banned Russian warheads if necessary: NATO envoy

Russia must halt its covert development of a banned cruise missile system or the United States will seek to destroy it before it becomes operational, Washington’s envoy to NATO said on Tuesday.

The United States believes Russia is developing a ground-launched system in breach of a Cold War treaty that could allow Russia to launch a nuclear strike on Europe at short notice, but Moscow has consistently denied any such violation.

The US Military-Industrial Complex’s Worst Nightmare: The Deployment of Russia’s S-300 Air Defense System In Syria May Destroy and Expose the F-35

In one sense, the delivery of S-300 batteries to Syria is cause for concern more for Washington than for Tel Aviv. Israel has several F-35 and has claimed to have used them in Syria to strike alleged Iranian weapons transfers to Hezbollah. With the S-300 systems deployed in an updated version and incorporated into the Russian command, control and communications (C3) system, there is a serious risk (for Washington) that Israel, now incapable of changing the course of events in Syria, could attempt a desperate maneuver.

It is no secret that Greece purchased S-300s from Russia years ago, and that NATO and Israel have trained numerous times against the Russian air-defense system. Senior IDF officials have often insisted that they are capable taking out the S-300s, having apparently discovered their weaknesses.

Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu had said on Monday the system would be delivered to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s forces in two weeks despite strong Israeli and United States objections. A week previously, Moscow had accused Israel of indirectly causing the downing of a Russian military jet in Syria.

Netanyahu says Russian supply of S-300 missiles to Syria ‘irresponsible’

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has criticized Russia’s decision to provide advanced anti-aircraft systems to Syria as “irresponsible,” but said Israel was committed to continued deconfliction with Moscow in its military operations in the region.

Speaking to CNN in New York after the annual UN General Assembly, Netanyahu said that he spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this month after Syrian forces responding to an Israeli airstrike mistakenly shot down a Russian military reconnaissance plane, killing all 15 people on board.

US could use its Navy to prevent Russia’s potential energy supplies to the Middle East, Internal Secretary Ryan Zinke said, Washington Examiner reports. The blockade would actually mean an “act of war,” Russian Senator fired back.

Zinke alleged that Russia’s engagement in Syria – notably, where it is operating at the invitation of the legitimate government – is a pretext to explore new energy markets.

A closer look at the list makes one wonder. The companies under fire have no relation to defense production and have no ties at all with the Russian Ministry of Defense. None of them have signed any contracts with the military. AeroComposite, part of Russia’s state-run United Aircraft Corporation, produces wings for the civilian MC-21 airliner, Aviadvigatel produces engines for military aviation, it has neither technology nor experience to get involved in defense projects, Divetechnoservice is a civilian diving equipment producer, Nilco Group deals in grain, oil products, steel, wood, port services, paper, electronic parts and cement.

Trump’s Interior Secretary Zinke, Calls for War Blockade on Russia

Trump’s Stepchild, Interior Secretary Zinke, Calls for War Blockade on Russia

US could use its Navy to prevent Russia’s potential energy supplies to the Middle East, Internal Secretary Ryan Zinke said, Washington Examiner reports. The blockade would actually mean an “act of war,” Russian Senator fired back.
Zinke alleged that Russia’s engagement in Syria – notably, where it is operating at the invitation of the legitimate government – is a pretext to explore new energy markets.

“I believe the reason they are in the Middle East is they want to broker energy just like they do in eastern Europe, the southern belly of Europe,” he has reportedly said.

US Goes Rogue all the way on Russia Blockade Threat

The US is asserting it has the right put a naval blockade on Russian energy exports, even if our EU and NATO allies choose Russia as a more cost effective and dependable supplier.

A naval blockade is an act of war. If you doubt this, ask the Japanese. A declassified document that David Irving dug up exposed how Churchill and Roosevelt toughened the State Department’s demands on Japan that, if it did not pull out of Manchuria, the US would blockade all scrap metal and oil imports to cripple Japan’s major industry.

They knew Japan could not accept this and would be pushed into a preemptive naval strike to secure its oil lines, presumably on Manila.

They were wrong about Manila. Roosevelt desperately needed war, as his much ballyhooed New Deal program had not created any permanent jobs.

I am not the only one who thinks that Trump, the NeoCons and the Deep State folks are borrowing a page from world war ignition techniques. We have been concerned that, with the US growing a huge national debt and with the need to keep the debt bubble afloat, it would have to go into PacMan mode, gobbling up every potential competitor.

US Hints At Naval Blockade Of Russian Energy Exports Which Moscow Warns Would Be "An Act Of War"

"The United States has that ability, with our Navy, to make sure the sea lanes are open, and, if necessary, to blockade ... to make sure that their energy does not go to market," Zinke said on Friday at an industry event in Pittsburgh hosted by the Consumer Energy Alliance.

Will Moscow Station its Army in Venezuela?

RUSSIAN MILITARY INTO LATIN AMERICA? Will Moscow Station its Army in Venezuela?

The suffocating situation in which Venezuela has been found, largely due to economic sanctions, has forced the country to consider calling a foreign, that is a Russian, contingent on its territory.

Nowadays, Venezuela continues its fight to never again be a “backyard” of bigger powers, as it used to be in the past.

Lately Caracas has even become the target of threats of military intervention, only because its government follows a path that does not please foreign interests.

Moreover, in the midst of this struggle, Venezuela has also become the victim of a severe economic war, with the risk of being subject to more and more sanctions. Despite erroneous criticism that Venezuela’s economy is faltering due to its planned economy, what has been seen as a sanctions regiment against the country which has caused it grievous harm. Nevertheless, displaying no small amount of leadership, Maduro has publicly taken responsibility for the economy of Venezuela, and promised to rationalize and improve many areas of the economy. This is not analogous to privatization or the introduction of unnecessary market mechanisms.

NATO DREAMS: What Obstacle Prevents Ukraine from Becoming a ‘NATO Outpost’?

The president of Ukraine, Pyotr Poroshenko, declared that his country is indeed the eastern flank of NATO. Political scientist Aleksei Bychkov expressed his opinion that the Ukrainian authorities confuse, as always, their desires with reality.

The Ukrainian president visited the base of the US Coast Guard in Baltimore, where the ceremony of delivery to Kiev of two decommissioned patrol boats took place.

“Ukraine is indeed the eastern flank of NATO, and this gesture of support has strengthened military cooperation between our countries,” Poroshenko said.

Iran Warns Israel Not to Attack Syria Again

Iranian National Security Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani has warned Israel of further attacks on Syrian territory.

“If this continues, Israel will face a backlash that will make you regret it,” said Shamkhani, quoted by the Tasnim news agency .

“The Zionist regime seeks to perpetuate the crisis in Syria by directly supporting terrorist groups and by attacking the Syrian army and the forces fighting the terrorists.”

IRAN WARNS SAUDIS OF "RED LINES" AND THREATENS US BASES "WILL NOT BE SAFE"

Iran has issued a number of threats on Friday following official charges made by leaders in Tehran that Saudi Arabia and the UAE funded a terrorist attack on a military parade in a southwest district last Saturday which killed 25 people, including members of the elite Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

Iranian military officials declared "red lines" against the two Gulf countries, threatening war, while in a separate statement a senior cleric said US regional bases will not be safe if "America does anything wrong".

"If America does anything wrong, their bases around Iran would not remain secure,"Ayatollah Mohammadali Movahedi Kermani was quoted as saying by Mizan news agency while leading Friday prayers in Tehran.

And simultaneously the Fars news agency quoted Brigadier General Hossein Salami, deputy head of the IRGC, as saying in reference to the Saudis and Emirates: “If you cross our red lines, we will surely cross yours. You know the storm the Iranian nation can create.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Dear Ayatollah Kermani and IRGC General Salami: a word, please, respectfully.

Intelligent people understand that Israel, the Emirates, the Saudis, and some forces in the US government, would stop at nothing to try to "regime change" Tehran, including supporting/funding/orchestrating a mass terror attack against the IRGC.

You need to understand that intelligent people in the US do not want a war against Iran, and as a Christian pacifist activist, I detest war as a means of resolving geopolitical differences.

But please also understand: the people of the Unhinged, Surveilled, State of Amerika have utterly no control over their government whatsoever.

Elections in this country are a very brilliantly staged, Kabuki-like display of the illusion that the American people in this country are actually in control of its future, when they are not.

Unfortunately, the cold, hard, bleak reality is that by the time candidates are presented by both Democrats and Republicans as their Presidential contenders, they have all been vetted by that dark triumverate, the American Deep State; major corporations; and the military industrial complex, to assure that the wars they want to see happen, will happen.

Also, unfortunately, Iran has been on both Israel's and the US's "regime change" list ever since it's 1979 revolution.

And so, this fall, we have "the perfect storm" situation signaling an attack against Iran, in that we have a sitting President, President Trump, whose BFFs in the Middle East are the Butcher of Palestine (a.k.a. Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu, and Saudi Arabia's Butcher of Yemen (a.k.a. Prince Mohammed bin Salman).

The timing of such an attack may well happen just before the mid-term elections happen here in the US. President Trump has issued his "drop dead date edict", that no country will be allowed to purchase Iranian oil after Sunday, 4 November, or suffer dire economic consequences

Tuesday, 6 November is the date of the US's midterms. I would suspect that such an attack against Iran might well be planned right around those dates, in order to make President Trump look "butch" to the voting electorate.

Unfortunately, just because something is the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing the US government could do, is no guarantee that it won't do it.

Russia outraged at NATO’s near daily ‘erroneous’ strikes in AfghanistanMore:http://tass.com/politics/1023318?_ga=2.146888500.281115422.1537849482-363929275.1477368173

Moscow is outraged at NATO’s "errant" attacks in Afghanistan, which have become almost a daily reality, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

"We are outraged at the fact that NATO’s ‘errant’ attacks in the country have become almost a daily reality, while no one has been held responsible," the statement reads.

"We believe that the current situation is a result of gross miscalculations the US made in Afghanistan and the White House’s reliance on the use of military force to resolve the situation in the country. We call on Washington to reconsider its short-sighted policy and opt for diplomatic measures aimed at launching an inter-Afghan dialogue," the Russian Foreign Ministry said, adding that Moscow called "for bringing those responsible for crimes against civilians to justice."

Webmaster's Commentary:

And where, please, is American outrage that so many innocents are assassinated daily by US/NATO troops?!?

Because the corporate Presstitutes, Warmongers never show us the images of the dead, twisted bodies of children who have been murdered, or maimed for life, because that is what the Diktat from the White House is: don't show those non-combatants what this war is like.

Well if they don't, my friends, as a Christian Pacifist Activist, I am duty-bound to show you the realities of this war, and witness to the hideous destruction of this country, courtesy of the US and NATO... And warning; these are atrociously graphic.

Images: Afghani children dead and dying from disease and starvation

IF these images nearly caused you to lose your lunch, congratulations; you may yet be at least a little human.

But it is high time that we peacefully and politely called our (alleged) Congressional Representatives, and told them that 17 years of this horrific military misadventure is quite enough.

Apparently, post-Vietnam, our military has never quite absorbed the reality that you cannot fight what is essentially a ground war from the air.

We have to peacefully and logically protest, to get our thoughts known, and call our and NATO'S military....home.

THE EMIRATES CLAIMS RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ATTACK IN AHVAZ

On 22 September, an attack during a military parade killed 24 people and wounded 60 others, in Ahvaz (Iran).

Ahvaz is the capital of the Iranian Arab region of Khuzestan. On 22 September 1980, the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein tried to annex this population to Iraq. This unleashed a war between Iran and Iraq. At the time, the overwhelming majority of Iranian Arabs opposed the foreign Iraqi invasion. The military procession on September 22 2018 marked the anniversary of this terrible war, funded by the West against the Khomeini Revolution.

Professor Abdulkhaleq Abdulla, one of the advisers to the Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates, declared that his country has succeeded in bringing war to the territory of Iran, claiming, thus, publicly a role in the attack. This type of declaration is not very surprising in the Middle East. In 2015, the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, had publicly congratulated the attacks that had been sponsored in Europe.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We are headed toward a terrible scenario of war in the Middle East; this attack in Iran had the fingerprints of the US and Israel all over it.

Israels Prime Minister has stated, publicly, that the installation of the Russian S-300 system in Syria, will not deter Israeli forces in bombing what they call "Iranian military bases" in Syria.

All it is going to take is one misplaced Israeli attack in Syria, and then all hell is going to break loose, with Russia, Syria, Iran, and China on one side, and Israel, Saudi Arabia, the US, and NATO on the other.

I am feeling a certain speed of the coming of this war, and that has been enhanced by the absolute demonization in the US Press of Iran, Russia, Syria, and China.

This demonization, coupled with intense US economic sanctions on the above-mention countries, is generally a prelude to a hot, shooting war.

It is no longer a question of IF, but when.

I wish I could see the convergence of these actions create any other outcome than that which I have just described, but I cannot.
