US attempt to push Huawei from global market is the first sign of looming tech war - Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin said US efforts to push Chinese tech giant Huawei out of the global market might be a sign that a new technological war is coming.

“Take the situation around the company Huawei, for example. There are attempts not even to challenge it, but to brazenly force it out of the global market,” Putin told the audience at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday. “In some circles it is even called the first technological war of the coming digital era.”

MAJOR: U.S Proposes Path For Recognizing Crimea As Russian

The United States proposed a path to recognize Crimea as Russia by way of holding a U.S supervised or managed second referendum in the Crimea, even after the region has already been reunited with Russia. This, in particular, was offered to Moscow by ex-head of the State Department, John Kerry , but was refused, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov .

A contact group for Donbass met in Minsk and worked to prepare a new agreement on the establishment of a new ceasefire agreement on the contact line of the warring parties. Russia hopes that Kiev will fulfill its obligations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I wonder if the US plans to use Diebold election machines for that second referendum. :)

Russia Accuses US Destroyer of Creating Dangerous Situation For Its Ship in East China Sea

The US Seventh Fleet, which is headquartered in Japan, refuted on Friday the accusations made by the Russian Pacific Fleet regarding a dangerous manoeuvre carried out by a US Navy cruiser near a Russian destroyer in the East China Sea, saying that it was the Russian vessel that nearly caused a collision between the ships.

"While USS Chancellorsville was recovering its helicopter on a steady course and speed when the Russian ship DD572 manoeuvred from behind and to the right of Chancellorsville accelerated and closed to an unsafe distance of approximately 50-100 feet. This unsafe action forced USS Chancellorsville to execute all engines back full and to manoeuvre to avoid collision", the Seventh Fleet said in a statement.

Danish Stand on Nord Stream 2 Contradicts European Laws - Schroeder

Denmark puts at risk timely completion of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline for delivering Russian gas to Europe, and Danish policy contradicts European laws, Gerhard Schroeder, the former German chancellor and the head of Nord Stream 2 operator's board of directors, said on Friday.

"Nord Stream 2 could be put into operation in the end of the year already in order to ensure safe deliveries of natural gas to Europe. However, there is a problem. For many months already, Danish policy has been putting at risk timely completion of the project", Schroeder said at a business breakfast dedicated to Nord Stream 2, held at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

UKRAINE'S NEW PRESIDENT COMMITS TO EU, NATO MEMBERSHIP

SOURCE: DW
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy intends to keep Ukraine "on the path of European and Euro-Atlantic integration." He also said he is ready to negotiate with Russia to end the war in Eastern Ukraine.

'Ukraine's strategic course remains unchanged'

During his visit to Brussels on Tuesday, newly elected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said his country still aspires to being a member of both the European Union and the NATO military alliance and that he is open to peace talks with Russia.

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg had been waiting to hear the foreign policy aims of the former comedian, who was sworn in as Ukraine's president last month.

What Zelenskiy said:

His government intends to keep Ukraine "on its strategic course ... to achieve fully-fledged membership in the EU and NATO." Membership of both entities "is the priority of our foreign policy."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Zelenskiy understands that he is walking a geopolitical tightrope, very much without a net, because his reaching out to Russia may cause NATO to spurn his desire to join it.

But IF he can work on these two objectives together, and better the lives of working Ukrainians, he will become a hero to his people; I, for one, hope that he can achieve this, and get rid of the wretched corruption, instigated and encouraged, by his predecessor, President Poroshenko (President Obama's and Victoria Nuland's "golden boy"), so that the nation can become functional again.

My fingers are crossed for this guy, that he is able to do what his country wants him to do, by "hiring" him as their President through the electoral process.

THE LONG ARM OF THE BILDERBERG GROUP. CREATED BY THE CIA AND MI6

The most important “personalities” participating this year, as usual, were those of the USA;

Clubs, Cartels and Bilderberg
Henry Kissinger, “historical figure” of the Group, closely linked to the late David Rockefeller (image right, died in 2017) who was founder of The Bilderberg and the Trilateral Commission:

Mike Pompeo, ex-head of the CIA and currently US Secretary of State[2];

General David Petraeus, ex-head of the CIA[3];

Jared Kushner, advisor (and son-in-law) of President Trump for the Middle East, and intimate friend of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Following on, Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of NATO, who received a second mandate for services rendered to the USA.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You need to look very closely, at the statement from Henry Kissinger, one of the "dark, overlord princes" of this confab, who saw war as a way to fix anything which had gone wrong, or could possibly go wrong:

"Control oil, and you will control the world; control food, and you control people!!"

Then you look at the presidencies of Bush; Obama; and Trump, and you see how transparently this has translated into wars for resources, to which the US has absolutely no moral right.

So let me see if I have understood this correctly; regime change; occupation; and the selling of oil only in US petrodollars.

This policy... has become the despicable, unholy trinity, which moves American foreign policy forward.

And in terms of food, not being GMO?!? You can clearly see that this battle has been brewing for a long time, and at least, at this moment, it appears that the non-GMO proponents, have had some small victories; but not nearly enough to feed the US in the future, coupled with catastrophic floods, which means acreage which used to see the planting of crops right now, cannot be planted.

And folks, if you do not have a freezer right now, talk to your family, and neighbors; getting a freezer, and filling it with non-GMO food, might not be a bad idea. Mike and I went to the local grocery store last week, and the "sticker shock" was pretty amazing.

I swear, we weren't buying either caviar or champagne :-)

But seriously, you need to protect yourselves against the time when the excrement hits the ventilation system, in all possible ways. That means, potable water, storable food, and whatever medications are necessary, for you, your family, and for your pets.

Russia to double global food exports, ready to replace US agricultural products in China

Russian agricultural exports will continue to grow and are expected to reach $45 billion within the next five years, according to Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev.

He told reporters at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF): “I think we will achieve all of our goals.”

Boosting sales of agricultural products abroad is currently one of Russia’s top-priority tasks. Patrushev said that this year’s agricultural exports won’t be less than in 2018 when they reached almost $25 billion.

The project is being implemented under an avalanche of criticism from Washington.

RUSSIA SLAMS US NAVY FOR ‘UNACCEPTABLE’ BEHAVIOR AFTER WARSHIPS’ NEAR-MISS IN EAST CHINA SEA

SOURCE: RT

Russia has accused the US Navy of “unacceptable” and dangerous maneuvering, after a US warship almost caused a catastrophic collision with a Russian destroyer in the East China Sea.

The Russian Navy said that the USS Chancellorsville, a guided-missile cruiser, unexplainedly changed direction and came within just 50 meters of the Admiral Vinogradov on Friday at 6:35 Moscow time. It added that a collision was only prevented after the Russian crew implemented emergency maneuvers and changed course.

A statement from Russia’s Pacific Fleet added that a complaint had been lodged with the command of the American cruiser.

We made our protest to the command of the American ship on an international wavelength and pointed out that such actions are unacceptable.

The US Navy denied responsibility for the near-collision. Instead, it blamed the Admiral Vinogradov for accelerating at Chancellorsville while it was waiting for its helicopter to land onboard.

Webmaster's Commentary:

(Sigh) One has to wonder if the crew on the Chancellorsville was "showboating" when it nearly hit the Admiral Vinogradov, or that there was a clear command for the US Navy to do some aggressive maneuvers; either way, this kind of behaviour, is not helping US/ Russian relations right now.

The Trade War Is About To Become An Economic World War III

The public enthusiasm for the trade war by elites within the Trump Administration cabinet, including Rothschild banking agent Wilber Ross, Council On Foreign Relations member Robert E. Lighthizer, Goldman Sachs member Steve Mnuchin, and Bilderberg attendee Mike Pompeo showcases a desire based on globalization to perpetuate an escalation in tensions.

Whether or not you agree with the rationalizations behind the trade war, the point is, the only people who will ultimately benefit from it are those striving for globalization.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is of grave concern to me, that this trade war could well devolve into a shooting war.

There's an archetypal dream, which Mike and I have, frequently; it's that one where you can see two trains, getting closer and closer together, ever more quickly, one on the wrong track, but you cannot communicate with either train's engineer to warn them, and there is a spectacular, horrific crash.

The US is headed for just such a confrontation, and very quickly; the possible "opponents" in this war, will most likely be China; Russia; Iran; North Korea, and Syria.

Look for rationing of food and materials at that point; and the possible suspension of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, followed by a declaration of Martial Law.

After that happens, look for a reinstitution of a draft, both for our young men, and our young women.

Some may laugh at my predictions; but in looking at the state of geopolitics around the world, I am seeing all the pieces starting to come into place, which is utterly terrifying, particularly if you are a pacifist, who knows that this country is absolutely going down the wrong path, with these horrific wars.

Just one month after conducting joint military exercises, Russia and China are set to sign an agreement which would boost the use of their national currencies in bilateral and international trade in an attempt to mmove away from the current dollar-denominated financial system, according to Russian state-owned news outlet TASS.

It is planned that Russia and China will be developing bilateral payments in national currencies, encourage and expand the use of national currencies, particularly through promotion of their use when signing international trade contracts. According to the draft agreement, the sides will also assume required measures to lift barriers for payments in national currencies. –TASS

Russia Intercepts US Spy Plane Off Syrian Coast

While US and NATO warplanes intercept Russian planes in international airspace on a very regular basis, Russia’s own interceptions are fairly rare, and the US is always furious when it happens. That was the case on Tuesday, when a US Navy spy plane started hanging around the Syrian coast.

Russia is very protective of the Syrian coast, and for good reason, as it hosts Russia’s lone Mediterranean naval base. Having US military aircraft hanging around that area, even if it is just a spy plane, was always going to provoke a response.

Russia sent up a fighter jet to intercept the plane. This apparently didn’t take this first couple of times, because the fighter had to intercept the same spy plane three different times in the same area before it finally went away.

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK, let me get my head around this; the US flies over Syrian sovereign territory, close to a Russian air base there, and it is the Russians were out of line?!?

I am sorry, but did these pilots understand just how close, to the keening edge of war, they appeared to be trying to take this country?!?

On orders from their CO?!?!?

It is almost as though the US is deliberately trying to goad Russia into a "supersonic bar fight" over Syria.

And President Trump, a word, please; at this point in its history, the US military does not not have the weaponry; the budget; the troop strength; or the manufacturing right now to ensure a positive outcome to a war against Russia, or China, or both.

WHY TRUMP NOW WANTS TALKS WITH IRAN

Authored by Pepe Escobar via The Saker blog.

The great Bilderberg secret of 2019 had to do with why, suddenly, the Trump administration has decided that it wants to talk to Iran “with no preconditions”.

It all has to do with the Strait of Hormuz. Blocking the Strait could cut off oil and gas from Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Iran – 20% of the world’s oil. There has been some debate on whether this could occur – whether the US Fifth Fleet, which is stationed nearby, could stop Tehran doing this and if Iran, which has anti-ship missiles on its territory along the northern border of the Persian Gulf, would go that far.

An American source said a series of studies hit President Trump’s desk and caused panic in Washington. These showed that in the case of the Strait of Hormuz being shut down, whatever the reason, Iran has the power to hammer the world financial system, by causing global trade in derivatives to be blown apart.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, a word, please; pulling the US from the P5+1 deal, telegraphed, painfully clearly, to the Iranian government, that the US government is pathologically incapable of keeping its promise, when an election cycle moves the person in power, as the President, to someone else.

The possibilities that you could negotiate a new agreement with Iran, have pretty much been torn asunder, by this ham-fistedly, bone-headedly , incredibly stupid decision on your part, made under immense pressure, of course, from two of your two BFFs, one in the Middle East, Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu, and the other, Sheldon Adelson, the American Zionist who has poured out contributions upon you, with just as much support as he was able, legally, to do.

So, President Trump, what you have, in terms of perception by the Iranian government, is an "optics problem".

And BTW, sir: the IAEA continues to report that Iran is abiding by this deal, and has not done anything to disturb Iranian cooperation with the P5+1.

Now, i don't know anything about the CVs of the people working with this organization; but I do understand that they have to be phenomenally smart people, and if something was amiss, they would honestly report it.

So, President Trump, is it humanly possible that you, and your brother and sister Foggy Bottomites who condemn Iran, can do something that might, please, possibly appear, as a sane and logical move here?!?

Sir, it is way past time, for the US government, with regard to Iran, to "cage the rage, and engage" ; please show the Iranian government that we can actually do this, with some "trust-building mechanisms".

You have a both war-weary, and war-skeptical nation to take care of; and if the advisors around you even MENTION the possibility of restarting the draft, with which to beef up US troop strength, before another endless war starts, with which to engulf the world, there are two words for which you are famous on television, and those two words are: "YOU'RE FIRED"!!!''

You need to use those words immediately, sir, to anyone in your inner circle, who is still pushing the agenda, that the attack against/invasion of Iran, is a "great idea."

US-Iran: Inverted Reality, Real War. America’s Al Qaeda Mercenaries. Iran is Fighting the Largest State Sponsor of Terror

For one, the Middle East already has a regional hegemon – the United States. Even the wildest accusations against Iran regarding state sponsored terrorism pale in comparison to Al Qaeda and the self-proclaimed Islamic State (ISIS) whose terrorism spans the globe, including standing armies operating in Libya, Syria, Yemen, and Afghanistan – several of which Iran itself is specifically fighting.

The US also supports terrorist organizations within Iran including the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK). MEK enjoys the support of National Security Adviser John Bolton – who lobbied for them for years while they were listed as a foreign terrorist organization by the US State Department itself.

Thus, Iran finds itself involved in Yemen, Syria, and Lebanon precisely to stave off openly declared intentions by the US to include Iran next under its already expansive hegemony over the Middle East.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, just because something is the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly idiotic thing the US government might do, is no guarantee that it will not do it.

The war against Iran, being advocated by by Israel, and their "Foreign Minister" in the US, John Bolton, (yes, you read that correctly) whose sympathies and interest, lie much closer with those of the Israel government, than they with those of the American people.

Should the US embark on such a war, which will most probably include proxy military presence by Saudi Arabia, and intel from Israel, what would be stopping China and Russia from stepping in on Iran's side, and exploding this conflict from a festooning regional war to a world war?!?

The short answer is, Russia and China would have much to gain, by showing the world that their weaponry, troop strength, and tactics, could possibly knock out the US military in such a conflict.

But the question is, once US civilian and military leadership are convinced that we cannot overpower Russia and China, when will such a war go nuclear?!?

I hope that someone in the Bowels of Power in DC, is losing sleep, over this scenario; because the potential for it happening, has never been more real.

Manufacturing War With Russia

Despite the Robert Mueller report’s conclusion that Donald Trump and his campaign did not collude with Russia during the 2016 presidential race, the new Cold War with Moscow shows little sign of abating. It is used to justify the expansion of NATO to Russia’s borders, a move that has made billions in profits for U.S. arms manufacturers. It is used to demonize domestic critics and alternative media outlets as agents of a foreign power. It is used to paper over the Democratic Party’s betrayal of the working class and the party’s subservience to corporate power. It is used to discredit détente between the world’s two largest nuclear powers. It is used to justify both the curtailment of civil liberties in the United States and U.S. interventions overseas—including in countries such as Syria and Venezuela. This new Cold War predates the Trump presidential campaign.

Ukraine's new president seeks pro-Western course, peace with Russia

New Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Tuesday he was ready to negotiate with Russia to end the war in eastern Ukraine while sticking to Ukraine’s goal of one day joining the European Union and the NATO alliance.

Speaking at NATO headquarters, Zelenskiy, a former comic actor with no prior political experience who took over as president on May 20, said he would keep Ukraine “on the path of European and Euro Atlantic integration”.

“The strategic course of Ukraine to achieve fully-fledged membership in the EU and NATO ... remains unchanged,” Zelenskiy told reporters alongside NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg. “This is the priority of our foreign policy.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Iran's Khamenei: Tehran will not abandon its missile programme

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that Tehran would not be “deceived” by U.S. President Donald Trump’s offer of negotiations and would not give up its missile programme.

Iran and the United States have been drawn into starker confrontation in the past month, a year after Washington pulled out of a deal between Iran and global powers to curb Tehran’s nuclear programme in return for lifting international sanctions.

Trump has condemned the nuclear deal, signed by his predecessor Barack Obama, as flawed for not being permanent and for not covering Iran’s ballistic missile programme and its role in conflicts around the Middle East. He has called on Iran to come to negotiating table to reach a new deal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, a word please; by withdrawing the US from the P5+1 deal (the terms of which, according to the IAEA, Iran is in compliance), you have demonstrated one thing, both to Iran and to the world; The US government is pathologically incapable of keeping its promises.

There were many criticism I had for President Obama's regime; but the P5+1 deal, was absolutely not one of those criticisms.

And I will predict that the Iranians, with a proud and lengthy history, as a people, will not come back to re-negotiate what you pulled of in the first place.

The power of the presidency... should not be wielded in a "Sword of Damocles" manner; and too many times, since you have taken office, your attitude appears to have been one of "My way... or the highway!!" This has burnt a lot of bridges, geopolitically.

And if you catch my drift, bridges, upon which can be can be traveled, to reach and suggest room for negotiation, are generally bad things to burn, because there is no going back.

I am thinking, sir, of our current adversarial relationship with China; North Korea; Russia; Iran; and the Philippines.

So, Mr. President, just what is the US government's "plan" for Iran?!?

Are you going for a decap strike against Iran, which, fearful for its own survival, just may just invite China and Russia, militarily, "to the dance"?!?

We have seen Russia's weaponry on display in Syria, where it has made short work of American trained/funded jihadis.

Mr. President, I would strongly caution you to pick the US government's fights, which will involve our troops, and their very lives, extremely carefully.

The future existence of this country, depends upon it.

Trade War Backfires On US Hegemony: China May Shift Production To Russia

President Trump's efforts to force China to 'fair' trade (along with sanctions and/or tariff threats against many other nations in the world) appears more likely to destabilize the unipolar US hegemon than support it.

Many multipolar-supporting nations are hording gold, seeking alternative payment systems, and creating bilateral trade agreements between themselves in an effort to skirt US threats (or merely to defend their own sovereignty in the long-run).

While we have seen China pushing the petro-yuan (rather anti-climactically for now) and Europe pushing INSTEX to enable trade with Iran (still unused for now), RT reports the latest shift away from the US 'system' and towards multi-polar collaboration is coming from China, where small and medium-sized enterprises, under pressure from Washington’s trade war, are studying the possibility of moving production to Russia.

Wiretaps Of Flynn And Kislyak Could Be A Game Changer. Why Prosecutors Refuse To Release It.

The highly classified transcript between former National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn and former Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak would answer once and for all exactly what was said between the then senior government officials. Kislyak’s phone was being monitored by U.S. intelligence but that didn’t stop senior U.S. officials from leaking the conversation to the media. In fact, it was that essence of Flynn’s conversation with Kislyak that eventually led to Flynn being fired from his role as President Donald Trump’s national security advisor.

Knowing exactly what was said could be a game changer. Prosecutors don’t want that to happen. In fact, they argue that the transcripts aren’t essential to Flynn’s prosecution, in which he has already pleaded guilty. Isn’t that interesting, since it was senior government officials who broke the law and leaked the fact to the media that the two had spoken by phone.

Webmaster's Commentary:

HELL, yes, those transcripts are key, and critical, for the American people to understand just what went on here.

SOURCE: THEGRAYZONE.COM

FACEBOOK’S NEW PUBLIC POLICY MANAGER FOR UKRAINE KATERYNA KRUK IS A FORMER GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL, DIEHARD NATIONALIST, AND ANTI-RUSSIAN JINGOIST WHO VOLUNTEERED WITH THE EXTREME-RIGHT PARTY SVOBODA DURING THE 2014 US-BACKED COUP.
BY BEN NORTON

When Facebook hired a new public policy manager for Ukraine, the mega-corporation chose one of the most biased candidates possible: a hawkish jingoist who has worked extensively with the Ukrainian government and the European Union.

Kateryna Kruk, who has served as Facebook’s public policy manager for Ukraine since late May, was an active participant in Ukraine’s 2014 US-backed coup, in which far-right ultra-nationalists violently ousted a democratically elected pro-Russian government and replaced it with a pro-NATO one.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder, if President Obama and Victoria Nuland are having "buyer's remorse" at the way Ukrainian politics have devolved mightily, since their "golden boy" Poroshenko got absolutely clobbered in the last election.

And please remember; Obama said, publicly, in an interview on CNN, that the US was directly responsible for supporting a coup against the duly appointed President, Yanukovich:

President Obama admits that the US brokered a deal in support of regime change

The US government spent 5 billion dollars to create anti-government riots in Ukraine

Victoria Nuland admits that the US spent $ 5 billion dollars to create regime change in Ukraine

While there is one homeless Vet sleeping rough in our streets, this never, ever should have happened. Yet the people who generated this regime change get off, scott-free.

Hey, President Obama; I hear that you are making "beaucoup bucks" on on your Speaker Tours Barack Obama Is Now Among 10 Highest-Paid Public Speakers

and Victoria Nuland, congrats on your having landed in a great job (again) with ASG?!?
Victoria Nuland rejoins ASG (Albright Stonebridge Group

What is singularly depressing to me here, is that the sociopaths who create death and murder around the world, are exempt from paying any kind of price for their collective stupidity, because of their personal, and informational wealth, shielding them from due process.

Future historians will not be kind to either of these people, because of this.

Venezuela FURY: Putin hits out at claims of Russia abandoning Maduro

The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday that Rostec – who train Venezuelan troops and offer advice on weapons contracts – cut their numbers to just a few dozen as crisis grips the nation. While there were up to 1000 staff in Caracas, the report goes on to say that a loss of trust in Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro was a key factor in the mass withdrawal. However, in response to the article, Russian ambassador to Venezuela Vladimir Zaemsky told Russian news outlet Sputnik: "This is another piece of 'news' which has absolutely nothing to do with reality.

US offer not ‘as good as S-400’: Turkey says no turning back on missile deal with Russia

Turkish president Recep Erdogan has said a US consolation offer of Patriot air defense systems was no match for the offer made by Russia on its S-400. Turkey won’t step out of the deal with Moscow, despite US pressure, he added.

The White House has been threatening NATO-ally Turkey with sanctions for quite a while already, urging it to ditch the $2.5-billion S-400 accord with Moscow. The US cites security concerns and incompatibility of the Russian equipment with American systems.

“There is an agreement here and we are committed to it,” Erdogan countered, when speaking to journalists. “It is out of the question for us to take a step back.”

Euromaidan activist with neo-Nazi links joins Facebook as public policy manager

A Ukrainian activist who rejoiced at the sight of 48 anti-Maidan protesters burning to death in Odessa in 2014 has been hired by Facebook ostensibly to combat Russian ‘disinformation’.

Kateryna Kruk will be working out of Warsaw in her new role as Facebook’s public policy manager for Ukraine. While Kruk’s immediate duties are not clear, the announcement was met with enthusiasm by her followers, hoping she would unleash a crackdown on ‘Kremlin trolls’.

US Media Continues Spreading Lies About Russia And Venezuela

Data from the newspaper The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on the presence of employees of the state corporation Rostec (Russian Technologies) are exaggerated, Sputnik told a source of the press service of the Russian company.

On June 1, the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal reported, quoting an anonymous source close to the Russian Ministry of Defense, that Rostec decreased its staff in Venezuela from 1,000 to a few dozen.

According to the media, the retreat of Rostec employees, responsible for training Venezuelan troops, has intensified in recent months.

“The figures published in the Wall Street Journal article regarding the presence of Rostec employees in Venezuela are exaggerated dozens of times,” a source said in response to the Journal’s claims.

Key US lawmakers want to give Ukraine anti-ship and anti-aircraft missiles to counter Russia

The U.S. could send Ukraine anti-ship and anti-aircraft weapons to defend against Russia if a bill from the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s Democratic chairman and top Republican becomes law.

Chairman Eliot Engel, D-N.Y., joined Michael McCaul, R-Texas, to propose the bill Thursday. It would also ask the president to determine whether Ukraine should be a major non-NATO ally, condemn Russia’s detention of 24 Ukrainian sailors and urge Russia to implement the Minsk II peace agreement.

“By continuing to provide security assistance to Ukraine that furthers its implementation of defense reforms and achievement of NATO interoperability, we can better equip our ally with sophisticated lethal weapons to defend itself and deter Russian aggression,” McCaul said in a statement Friday. “As the world’s lead defender of freedom, the United States must employ all tools necessary to protect our shared values.”

RUSSIA REQUIRES TINDER TO PROVIDE DATA ON ITS USERS

SOURCE: APNEWS.COM

MOSCOW (AP) — Dating app Tinder is now required to provide user data to Russian intelligence agencies, the country’s communications regulator said Monday.

The app was included on a new list of online services operating in Russia that are required to provide user data on demand to Russian authorities, including the FSB security agency.

Russia adopted a flurry of legislation in recent years tightening control over online activity. Among other things, Internet companies are required to store six months’ worth of user data and be ready to hand them over to authorities.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In my case, they can just copy from the blog WRH, and see what comes up; with Mike as a pacifist activist, and me as a Christian pacifist activist, I frankly think that Putin would have no problem with us.

RUSSIA’S ROSTEC PULLS PLUG ON MADURO

SOURCE: THE NEW AMERICAN
Reprinted with permission from TheNewAmerican.com.

Venezuela’s Marxist dictator Nicolás Maduro hasn’t paid Rostec, Russia’s state-controlled military contractor, for months, so the company is pulling the plug, according to the Wall Street Journal. That contractor has been providing vast military armaments and other materiel to Maduro’s regime, including Kalashnikov rifles, helicopters, tanks, and aerial defense systems. It has also, until recently, had about 1,000 technicians in place to train Venezuelan military personnel how to maintain that high-tech equipment. Now, said the Journal, that number has been reduced to just a few dozen.

U.S. sanctions, particularly on Maduro’s Central Bank of Venezuela, have made it all but impossible for the bank to sell off what remains of the country’s gold reserves to raise the cash to pay Rostec’s bills.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I saw the headline yesterday; but on the part of Rostec, it makes perfect financial sense.

But the question is, how long will Venezuela's military stay loyal to Maduro, and are these troops getting paid and fed, regularly?!?

the breach of those conditions, would absolutely "turn the corner" on any kind of "invasion" plans the US may have to take control of Venezuela and its oil reserves, and the US may already have "mercs in place", should this moment come to be.

The Saudi-funded spread of Wahhabism began as a result of Western countries asking Riyadh to help counter the Soviet Union during the Cold War, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told the Washington Post.

MAJOR ISRAELI AIRSTRIKES KILL UP TO 10 PRO-ASSAD FORCES IN PRE-DAWN RAID

SOURCE: ZEROHEDGE

Israel has admitted responsibility in a significant overnight attack on Syria which reportedly killed up to ten pro-Assad forces, including possibly seven of what the Israeli media is claiming were Iranian and Hezbollah "foreign fighters".

The predawn raid took place south of Damascus in Quneitra province and unlike prior Israeli attacks appeared to included a multi-pronged sustained offensive of warplanes and helicopters on artillery and intelligence facilities. Syrian state media confirmed the attack, saying its anti-air defenses were active and successful over Quneitra and over the capital of Damascus, but put its early casualties as three killed and seven among the wounded.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is a point past which Russia cannot continue to tolerate these strikes in Syria; there will have to be a point where either they, or the Syrian military, will have to be much more aggressive to keep Israel from bombing more of Syria; and this country cannot tolerate much more of this bombing happening.

I would like to hope that Putin will phone Netanyahu, at some ungodly hour in the Middle East, and demand that this bombing stop.

VERY happy families: Putin hands out Order Of Parental Glory awards to Russians who are doing their bit to increase the country’s population by having lots of children

Putin awarded the Order of Parental Glory to eight large Russian families
The honour is seen as an incentive to reverse the country's declining population.

The annual ceremony takes place before Children's Day in Alexandrovsky Hall of the Kremlin, Moscow.

Putin, who has led the country for 20 years as President or Prime Minister, welcomed families from Moscow, St Petersburg, Sevastopol, the Republic of Altai, Kabardino-Balkaria, Sverdlovsk and Sakhalin regions to the Alexandrovsky Hall of the Kremlin Palace.

Speaking at the ceremony, Putin said: 'This year this high government award was conferred on eight married couples. When families have as many children as you do, this is real happiness.

'Please accept my sincere words of respect for your selfless, daily parenting.'

The purpose of International Children's Day is to recognise activities that promote 'the institution of the family and child-rearing and reverse the country's falling population'.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Having larger families in the 21st century, is a real challenge; we have the same issue of declining populations here in both Japan and the US as well.

Pentagon to ban US companies from using Russian space launches & satellites

The Pentagon has introduced restrictions that will prevent American companies from using Russian space rocket launches and satellite services, set to take effect in 2023.

The rule will levy “additional prohibitions with regard to acquisition of certain foreign commercial satellite services, such as… satellites and launch vehicles,” according to a Pentagon notice published on the US Federal Register website on Thursday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Would the Pentagon please like to explain to the American people, that they have no recoverable space vehicles with which to get up to space, and back down, as we did with the Shuttle craft, unless Russia gets us there, as Russia does have this capability?!?

U.S Plans To Continue Attempts To Destabilize Russia Via Ukraine, Syria

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Ilnitsky told the Zvezda TV channel that the United States is taking steps to destabilize Russia.

He pointed out to the channel that the US corporation RAND, a strategic research center for the US government, has prepared a multi-page report describing actions to pressure Russia.

According to the document, Washington indirectly plans to put pressure Russia through Ukraine and Syria. In particular, the United States should continue to provide arms to Ukraine, as well as actively support opposition groups in Syria.

In addition, the military high added that the United States will try to remove the Russian military from Transnistria, but such a step is not a priority for them.

Ukraine blames EU for bad integration pact, after ousting president who refused to seal the deal

Kiev has endured trade imbalances with most of its European partners, according to the latest data from the country’s statistics agency. Ukraine is still struggling to make its domestic products meet the rigorous EU standards.

In the first quarter of the current year alone, the overall trade deficit with the European Union totaled $535 million. Europe’s number one economy, Germany, contributed most to the ever-widening gap.

Ukraine signed the controversial association agreement with the EU five years ago, shortly after the Maidan revolution brought down the government of then-president Viktor Yanukovich, who had rejected the association deal. The political part of the agreement has been in effect since September 2014 and the economic part has de-facto operated from January 2016.

Donbass: miners and anti-fascists

A delegation of nine peace and neutrality activists went to the rebel areas in eastern Ukraine on the occasion of the celebrations of Soviet victory over German Fascism on May 9th as well as the fifth anniversary of the founding of the republics in the Donbass.

Even in just a few days, any visitor will realise that obvious facts on the ground in the so-called separatist areas blatantly contradict several basic assumptions:

At least in the capital cities of Donets and Lugansk, normal everyday life prevails, there is no war or emergency situation evident. You have to look closely and ask locals to find signs of a war. At the moment, Paris is definitely more militarised. On the other hand the economic difficulties, the social consequences of the uncertain situation and the lack of investment are quite obvious.

Guess who’s back? Ukraine returns citizenship to eccentric former Georgian president Saakashvili

Ukraine’s newly minted President Volodymyr Zelensky has restored the Ukrainian citizenship of Mikheil Saakashvili, the former Georgian president and onetime governor of Odessa.

“Thank you President Zelensky! Glory to Ukraine,” Saakashvili announced on Facebook on Tuesday, linking to the presidential decree granting him re-entry. Saakashvili later said he will return to Ukraine on Wednesday.

Saakashvili served as Georgia’s head of state from 2004 to 2007, and again from 2008 to 2013. He presided over the caucasian state during its conflict with Russia in 2008, and traded his Georgian citizenship for Ukrainian papers in 2015. After serving as governor of the Odessa region, Saakashvili was booted from Ukraine by then-President Petro Poroshenko in 2017, and barred from entering the country until 2021.

Russian space sector plagued by astronomical corruption

With millions of dollars missing and officials in prison or fleeing the country, Russia's space sector is at the heart of a staggering embezzlement scheme that has dampened ambitions of recovering its Soviet-era greatness.

For years, Moscow has tried to fix the industry that was a source of immense pride in the USSR. While it has bounced back from its post-Soviet collapse and once again become a major world player, the Russian space sector has recently suffered a series of humiliating failures.

And now, massive corruption scandals at state space agency Roscosmos have eclipsed its plans to launch new rockets and lunar stations.

"Billions (of rubles) are being stolen there, billions," Alexander Bastrykin, the powerful head of Russia's Investigative Committee -- Russia's equivalent of the FBI -- said in mid-May.

Investigations into corruption at Roscosmos have been ongoing "for around five years and there is no end in sight," he added.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This means a lot of sadness, and back-tracking for the good, principled scientists who did not go down this road.

But unfortunately, corruption and toadyism, haunt the American space program as well.

And the primary reason for this, is that in the US, the military/industrial complex, is allowed to fund state and national elections, in order to get their equipment chosen, rather than the equipment of another company, which might even be both better, and less expensive.

So the "little guys" who could do better, are frozen out of the process, and this is really an horrifically stupid way for a country to attempt to build its weaponry program.

How this translates in the US, is that those executives of the "bigger, badder" companies, don't believe that equipment needs to be delivered in a timely manner, and is sometimes obsolete by the time of delivery; the equipment doesn't have to work as promised; and ginormous cost over-runs are perfectly fine.

This has to stop, and immediately, if the US is ever going to have the weaponry "technological edge" over that of China and Russia.

Russia invites Taliban, Afghan officials to Moscow meet

Afghan politicians are set to attend a two-day meeting with the Taliban in Moscow this week, officials confirmed Monday, as fighting continues to rage in Afghanistan amid troubled peace talks between the US and the militants.

The meeting -- set to run the 28th and 29th of May -- will mark the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Afghanistan.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said a 14-member delegation was heading to Moscow, led by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the group's top political leader.

Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, the Taliban's chief negotiator and former deputy minister of foreign affairs, will also attend, Mujahid said in a statement.

From the Afghan political establishment, former president Hamid Karzai is set to make an appearance, with his spokesman Yousof Saha suggesting the Afghan and Taliban delegations might meet on the sidelines for informal talks, but he noted nothing was guaranteed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That Russia is even trying here, I think, bodes well for a possible resolution to this horrific conflict.

I do consider both Russia's President Putin, and his foreign ministry director, Sergei Lavrov, to be a could of "adults in the room" in geopolitics.

Fingers crossed, and prayers uttered, that this meeting may provide a positive place from which to move forward on peace talks with the US.

US think tank goes big-game hunting for Russia. Guess who gets shot in the foot?

In a report that views Russia through the same cracked lens as Washington’s old ideological foe, the Soviet Union, the RAND Corporation reveals that its worst enemy for gaining global dominance is not Russia but the US.

Featured in the 1964 dark comedy ‘Dr. Strangelove’, where it starred as the “BLAND Corporation” – the think tank behind the ‘Doomsday Machine’ that would destroy the planet in the event of a nuclear attack – the notoriety of the RAND Corporation continues today with an ill-founded hit piece against Russia.

If anything positive could be said about the latest RAND briefing, entitled ‘Overextending and Unbalancing Russia’, it would have to be its shameless transparency. There are no fig leaves here. The 12 pages of mischief outline in cold and calculating creepiness how the United States may lay waste to Russia. There’s just one problem with the RAND grand plan. The scheming proposals are offset at every turn by the flat-footedness of US actions on the global stage.

Russia’s $30 Mil Corvettes Have 4X Firing Range of $2 Bil US Destroyers and Cruisers

Russia is adding warships to its navy faster than the US. The reason for that is simple, while the US is pouring $14 billion into the USS Gerald Ford carrier the Russians are building corvettes. A class of warships between 500 and 1,000 tons.

Not only are they small, they are cheap. The newest class, Karakurt, sets back the Russian budget 2 billion rubles or just over $30 million at the exchange rates.

These sound like puny vessels, except here is the thing: they can hit an enemy surface ship from four times the distance a US destroyer (Arleigh-Burke) or cruiser (Ticonderoga) can.

In addition to the militarization of Eastern Europe, NATO partakes in active intelligence operations – be it by land, sea and air.

The fleet is involved in the reassurance measures following the Russia-Ukraine crisis, and in the tailored assurance measures for Turkey against the background of the Syrian crisis.

Israel: “Wiped off The Map”. The Rumor of the Century, Fabricated by the US Media to Justify An All out War on Iran

Global Research Editor’s Note

The following text by Arash Norouzi first published by the Mossadegh Project and Global Research in January 2007 confirms that the alleged “Wiped Off the Map” statement by Iran’s president was never made.

In the light of recent US threats directed Iran, we are reposting this important article.

Iran does not constitute a threat to Israel.

The rumor was fabricated by the American media with a view to discrediting Iran’s head of state and providing a justification for waging an all out war on Iran. the article provides of media manipulation and “propaganda in action”.

Iran is blamed for refusing to abide by the “reasonable demands” of “the international community”.

In recent developments, Iran is persistently described as threatening the security of Israel. And Israel is described as instrumental in determining US foreign policy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

US Is About to Sanction the World if They Don’t Stop Purchasing Russian Weapons

The CAATSA (Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act) sanctions concept of economically punishing countries that continue to purchase Russian and Chinese arms is about to become much more effective after the forthcoming global application of the “European Recapitalisation Incentive Programme”, which will see the US sanctioning states that don’t progressively transition away from their current multipolar suppliers to American ones instead.

Adding a carrot of sorts to the traditional sanctions stick, the US will help countries fund their new American purchases, which will supposedly incentivize them into complying with Washington’s demands. This new policy represents a much more muscular approach to “military diplomacy” than before and shows that the US properly understands the challenge that Russia and China’s own application of the same poses to its global interests.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would not characterize this as "military diplomacy" I would characterize it as "blackmail diplomacy", pure and simple.

We’ve Hit a New Low in Campaign Hit Pieces

Recent efforts to sandbag Bernie Sanders and Tulsi Gabbard are crude repeats of behaviors that helped elect Trump in 2016.

Last week, the Daily Beast ran this headline: “Tulsi Gabbard’s Campaign Is Being Boosted by Putin Apologists”

That was followed by the sub headline: “The Hawaii congresswoman is quickly becoming the top candidate for Democrats who think the Russian leader is misunderstood.”

The Gabbard campaign has received 75,000 individual donations. This crazy Beast article is based on (maybe) three of them.

The three names are professor Stephen Cohen, activist Sharon Tennison and someone using the name “Goofy Grapes,” who may or may not have once worked for comedian Lee Camp, currently employed by Russia Today.

Last week, the Daily Beast ran this headline: “Tulsi Gabbard’s Campaign Is Being Boosted by Putin Apologists”

Webmaster's Commentary:

She is a pro-peace Vet who has seen military action; a woman; and someone with Samoan ancestry, so she understands the value of putting military programs under the proverbial microscope, to see if they are really necessary.

But it is her pro-peace stance, which will get her marginalized; the major corporations, along with our Merchant of Death in Chief, love wars, because wars bring profits to the warmongers, and the bankers.

Ukraine opens high treason case against Poroshenko over Kerch Strait incident

The state investigation bureau has opened the criminal case against Poroshenko based on a statement submitted by ex-Deputy Head of the Administration of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich, and attorney Andrei Portnov on May 20. The lawyer requested instituting criminal proceedings against Poroshenko on criminal counts committed by the supreme commander-in-chief in the November 25, 2018 incident when a group of Ukrainian naval ships was transiting the Kerch Strait.

"Poroshenko’s actions were aimed at deliberately provoking the Russian Federation for retaliatory and easily foreseen aggressive actions in a tense situation, which caused losses in the inventory of the Ukrainian Navy," the lawyer’s statement posted on his Facebook says.

Ukraine’s state investigation bureau confirmed on Tuesday it had opened the criminal case related precisely to the Kerch Strait incident late last year.

THE PENTAGON ASKS TRUMP TO SEND THOUSANDS OF U.S. TROOPS TO THE MIDDLE EAST AS TENSIONS WITH IRAN CONTINUE TO RISE

SOURCE: THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE

The more steps that we take toward a war with Iran, the more likely it becomes that somebody will do something really stupid that will actually trigger one. By cutting off Iran’s oil exports, we are threatening to completely wreck their economy, and at this point they feel backed into a corner. And the Iranians have already watched the U.S. invade two countries that they share a border with (Afghanistan and Iraq), and so it is understandable that they are a bit paranoid that it could happen to them too. President Trump keeps saying that he doesn’t want a war with Iran, but the Iranians do not believe a single word any U.S. politician says. Instead, they watch what we actually do very, very closely, and the fact that the Pentagon wants to deploy thousands of new troops to the Middle East is definitely going to freak them out. The following comes from Fox News…

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, just because something is one of the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing the US and its military could do, is absolutely no guarantee that they won't do it.

And there is a paragraph after the last one I copied, which I don't believe at all; the writer of this article, characterizes Iran's leadership as "insane", and frankly, I wouldn't go there.

I think that the Iranians care as much for their kids, and their country, as we do for our kids and our country. In reading presstv.com (an English language version of Iranian state-approved news), you see kids, young men and young women, competing in both sports, and intellectual combat, like building and programming robots, and mathanasium challenges.

One of the best, highest ranked global universities for computer science, to be found in Iran

They understand that they live in the 21st century, and want their kids to be as competitive and ready, as they can possibly be.

So Mr. President, a word, please: any kind of invasion/attack against Iran, of course, preceded by a "false flag, to be blamed against it, (most probably courtesy of Mossad) is NOT what We the People wanted, when they voted you into office. They hired you to run this country on a peace and prosperity platform; not more endless wars.

And please understand, that if you do this, Israel's Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu will not give a rat's anus, if we wind up with hundreds, or thousand American troops dead or maimed for life.

Israel is always eager for other countries to fight their wars for it, so that the costs in blood, and money, will only be absorbed by those proxy fighters, and not Israel.

And there is another question about this potential for further deployment of Americans in the Middle East; what happens when Russia and/or China, decide to come in on Iran's side?!?

Do you remember what happened in Syria, when Russian troops and weaponry got rid if most of the jihadi there (including those paid for by US tax funds?!?)

Sir, please don't back away from asking this of Kenneth McKenzie, head of U.S. Central Command, and Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan; as of an article dated 16 May, at bloomberg.com stated:

US "Evidence" of Iran Threat readied for Release by the Pentagon. The article went on to state:

"The evidence may be released within a day, according to one of the officials, because the White House recognizes it needs to disclose more documentation to skeptical allies, U.S. lawmakers and the public.

These include images of the two dhows, slow-moving vessels that U.S. analysts believe were carrying cruise missiles that are designed to attack land targets and would be fired directly from the boats rather than shipped to other locations, according to one of the defense officials.

The vessels could be easily disguised among the many dhows that transit the Persian Gulf in routine commerce -- unlike the easily spotted speedboats that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has long used to intimidate crews of oil vessels from other nations and occasionally to harass American ships in the Persian Gulf"

Translation; they are "cherry picking" the data, to make it appear that there IS a credible threat from Iran, and that is what will be shown to Congress and to you, President Trump.

And Mr. President, forgive me, but if US lawmakers, the public, and allies may be characterized as being "skeptical", about these claims, please remember the following: The US government flat out lied about "Saddam Hussein's having alleged "weapons of mass destruction", to get the Iraq war going

It was all about the oil, and insuring that it was only sold in US dollars, and Iraq is still one hot, sticky mess from that never-ending war.

Mr. President, you and Congress may state the need for "confrontation", because Israel wants to get this war going quickly, as they are unsure if you are getting "cold feet" about it; but sir, if you do this, it will be another war, based on lies, to create confrontation where there could possibly be collaboration.

US governmental credibility has been well and truly flushed, when you ordered that the US withdraw from the P5+1 Agreement; please don't make this any worse than it already is, as the Middle East is already on the cusp of disaster.

US Diplomacy Still Screwed; Trump, Pompeo Hamstrung by RussiaGate Idiocy

The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov remarked last Thursday in Moscow that no contacts between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump are expected at the G20 summit in Japan on June 28-29. “An encounter is not planned so far and there is no talk about a meeting,” Peskov said.

This remark was made in the run-up to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s forthcoming visit to Russia on April 12-14. There has been much speculation in the US media that a summit meeting between Trump and Putin was likely among Pompeo’s talking points with the Russian leadership.

Congressional Letter Urges Trump to Keep US Troops in Syria

A bipartisan letter signed by nearly 400 US Congress members is calling on President Trump to remain militarily engaged within Syria, while claiming to be “deeply concerned” about extremists in the country.

President Trump had announced a pullout from Syria in December, but had already disavowed it repeatedly by February. Still, lawmakers want to keep emphasizing how enthusiastic about the Syrian War they are, and push Trump into escalating it against various other parties.

Once a war about ISIS, the letter urges Trump to “increase pressure on Iran and Russia with respect to their activities in Syria.” The US already treated Syria as something of a proxy war, and the letter suggests they do away with all pretext and just make it into a war against Iran and Russia over Syria.

Syrian Rebels Attack Russian Air Base In Major Offensive

Some 500 Nusra-front militants, accompanied by seven tanks and about 30 pickup trucks armed with mounted heavy machine guns launched three major offensives against government troops in Idlib province on Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The counterattack focused on the town of Kafr Nabudah, which was recently captured by the Syrian government.

Militants also launched a missile attack on Russia's Hmeymim air base on Wednesday, but nine of the missiles were shot down, and another 8 didn't reach their target, the ministry added.

Northwest Syria, which runs along Syria's border with Turkey, is home to the last remaining rebel strongholds, including a swath of land dominated by the Al Qaeda-linekd Nusra Front, which has adopted a new name, Tahrir al-Sham, Haaretz reports.

The increase in shelling in the region has led to the displacement of 180,000 people, while the increase in shelling marked the most intense period of fighting between Bashar al-Assad and the rebels

CORPORATE MEDIA SETTING UP IRAN AS NEW "THREAT" THAT MUST BE CONFRONTED

Authored by Janine Jackson via Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting,

The Washington Post editorial’s headline (5/14/19) had the US “drifting” toward war with Iran—another example, as analyst Nima Shirazi quipped, of the “world’s superpower somehow having no agency over its own imperialism.”
If we can still call things “surreal,” that would describe watching corporate media do the same things they did in the run-up to the Iraq War, things they later disavowed: the credulous repetition of administration claims about the supposed threat; the reliance, for interpretation of “intelligence,” on officials with well known records for manipulating intelligence; the stenographic reporting of ‘troubling’ actions by the enemy state, that later have to be walked back.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, a word, please; this hyped up, potential military confrontation with Iran, is one of the most ludicrous creations of your Administration.

We understand that Netanyahu, and Sheldon Adelson, are pushing you to the max to have the US start or trigger this war, as they have tried a number of administrations ago (so that the IDF doesn't have to fight Iran, but the costs in blood and money, will be totally those of the American people).

But the only reason for it, would be economic in nature, because Israel wants Iran broken up, so that it will get lost in its own internal squabbles, and not be a practical, economic threat any longer.

When citizens are defending their homeland, and there's lots of skin in the game, if you will, they will fight, to the death, if they have to, to keep the foreign fighters away from their doors.

And what if Russia and China weigh in on Iran's side?!?

They know, President Trump, what the US has in terms of weaponry, troop strength, manufacturing, and financing.

They also know that at least that we know of, the National Dept is running around $22 trillion right now.

The US government is broke, desperate, and may use this war to attempt to distract ordinary people from understanding, what has happened to the economy since your watch began.

For the monied, it's wonderful; for those of us who are not... not quite so good.

I fear that in order to feed these endless wars and occupations you have approved (by not pulling out our troops from some, or all of these quagmires) we are going to see the reinstitution of the draft in this country, to keep up military strength.

And THAT, sir, will be the moment the fertilizer hits the ventilation system.

And I say this, because many Americans are now awakened to the reality that all wars are economic in nature; how likely, then, are they to respond to a draft when they know the all wars are bankers' wars, and that financial institutions profit big-time, from wars and death?!?

This may lead to riots of such a nature that local police and military members are unable to put them down "with extreme prejudice".

Then what, Mr. President?!?

I would like to politely suggest, that if you are so impossibly incapable of "caging the rage and engaging" with world leaders, this needs to be made the responsibility of someone else, please, who can.

The "mesmerizing effect" you have on your base, doesn't cut it with world leaders who really understand the meaning of the word "negotiation", and always work to "be the adults in the room." with rational judgement, and a willingness to compromise.

Right now, on the international stage, two of those poster people, for being adults in the room, are Sergei Lavrov , and his boss, President Putin; they are constantly trying to take the "military/political edge off" of world situations, and look where negotiations can be win/win; unfortunately, sir, the world, right now, is seeing you churlish; impetuous; ill-mannered, and very much an arrested adolescent, wearing some very luxurious grown people's clothing.

ESTABLISHMENT NARRATIVE MANAGERS STRUGGLE WITH NEW SYRIA PLOT HOLES

SOURCE: CAITLIN JOHNSTONE

It has been about a week since the Working Group on Syria, Propaganda and Media (WGSPM) published a leaked internal document from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) investigation into an alleged chemical attack in Douma, Syria last year. The document, whose authenticity the OPCW has confirmed, contends that the official story which was used to justify an air strike by the US, UK and France about poison gas being dropped on civilians from Syrian government helicopters is scientifically implausible, saying “In summary, observations at the scene of the two locations, together with subsequent analysis, suggest that there is a higher probability that both cylinders were manually placed at those two locations rather than being delivered from aircraft.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Color me unsurprised at this revelation; The Russian/Syrian military have made short shrift of most of the jihadi extremists thee; the US narrative for actually BEING in Syria, never made a shred of sense, except for marking out a toe-hold in that country, for any upcoming military action against Iran.

Russia, China to Open Arctic Sea to Trade, Cutting Asia-Europe Shipping Route by 5,000 Miles

Speaking at China’s second Belt and Road conference in Beijing featuring 37 heads of state, Russia President Vladimir Putin unveiled the intention to unite Russia’s Northern Sea Route with China’s Maritime Silk Road. This announcement should come as no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to the close strategic friendship between both countries since the 2015 announcement of an alliance between the Russian-led Eurasian Economic Union and Belt and Road Initiative. This extension of the Maritime Silk Road represents a powerful force to transform the last unexplored frontier on the Earth, converting the Arctic from a geopolitical zone of conflict towards a new paradigm of mutual cooperation and development.

Zelensky said he would dissolve the country's legislature in order to call early parliamentary elections, which had originally been scheduled for October.

'People must come to power who will serve the public,' Zelensky said after wrangling with hostile lawmakers whom he has called 'petty crooks'.

He also vowed to stop the war against Moscow-backed separatists in the east of the country that has claimed over 13,000 lives.

Trump-Bolton Aggression Against Iran Contained by Russia, Japan, China, and EU

The likelihood of a U.S. war with Iran is increasing, despite alternately isolationist and provocative messages coming from Trump administration officials.

The U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln is now sitting off the coast of Iran, and the U.S. has asked its non-emergency personnel to leave nearby Iraq. Meanwhile, there is a debate about images of what the New York Times described as “missiles on small boats in the Persian Gulf that were put on board by Iranian paramilitary forces.” Whether those missiles photographed were offensive or defensive is important in determining whether the U.S. is misrepresenting Iran’s actions as threatening.

‘No other options’: US will deliver F-35s, while Turkey will get S-400… and S-500, Erdogan says

The US will ‘sooner or later’ have to face reality and understand that Turkey’s purchase of Russian S-400 systems is a done deal, President Erdogan said, noting that the current agreement is just the beginning.

“We’re done with the S-400. There is absolutely no question of stepping back on the S-400. It is a defense system, not an attack system,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday during a televised question and answer session with university students in Istanbul, adding that the first deliveries of the Russian anti-aircraft weapon system are expected in July.

Explaining that Russian military hardware is offered on “very favorable terms” and with no strings attached, Erdogan said that Ankara is also potentially seeking to acquire the next generation S-500 systems – or even engage in co-production partnership – once Russia completes development of its newest mobile surface-to-air missile system.
