Massive U.S. Aquifer Threatened

“Oil and water don’t mix.” That saying receives new meaning in light of a proposed disposal well for oil fracking wastewater, which Colorado-based startup oil and gas company Terex Energy Corporation plans for southern Sioux County in northwestern Nebraska. The project on the Lawcomer ranch, 14 miles north of Mitchell, Neb., took county residents by surprise, but opposition formed almost immediately, primarily because of a perceived threat to the land and—most importantly—the gigantic Ogallala Aquifer. AMERICAN FREE PRESS spoke extensively with a Terex executive and concerned citizens.

Fluoride in Water Linked to More ADHD Symptoms - Study

Believe it or not, people have protested the mass medication of the public through drinking water all along. "Is there something in the water??" is a valid question that should be answered before it's too late.

NASA discovers an underground ocean on Jupiter’s largest moon

NASA announced evidence on Thursday that Jupiter's largest moon, Ganymede, has a saltwater ocean under its icy surface. The ocean seems to have more water than all the water on Earth's surface.

New Hubble observations of Ganymede's magnetic field strongly suggest that the moon, which is the largest in our whole solar system, is home to a subsurface ocean. Scientists have already confirmed the existence of an ocean on Europa, another moon orbiting Jupiter, and NASA has announced plans to send an unmanned mission there searching for the life that might come with liquid water.

NASA Mission Studies Magnetosphere Surges That Can “Short Out Grids and Cause Blackouts”

Mac Slavo
SHTFplan.com

The potential for a devastating EMP resulting from a massive solar event, or a man made weapon, is well known and, increasingly, being taken seriously as a looming, perhaps inevitable, disaster.

One half of that equation deals with the potential for solar flares, or coronal mass ejections, and other extreme space weather events to cause interruptions in Earth’s magnetosphere, in turn creating electrical discharges that have the potential to disrupt satellites orbiting the planet, and trigger outages in the electrical grid and most of the electronic devices on earth’s surface.

GENERAL MILLS SUED FOR DUMPING 15,000 GALLONS OF CANCER CHEMICALS INTO AIR AND WATER

Unlike Pepsi Co, which recently got let loose from a class action lawsuit concerning a carcinogen used in soda, a class action lawsuit against the maker of Cheerios, Yoplait yogurt, and Pillsbury cinnamon rolls was just certified by a federal judge.
Minneapolis residents claim that General Mills polluted their air and water with more than 15,000 gallons of carcinogenic solvents that have seeped into homes.

General Mills (GM) makes hundreds of foods that most Americans are used to eating on a daily basis, but the company obviously has little concern for the health of the mouths they make millions from.

Plaintiffs in the class action suit claim that GM released trichloroethylene – a chemical used to extract vegetable oils from plant materials – into the area around its former facility in Minneapolis. The company disposed approximately 15,000 gallons of chemical solvents into the air and water supply.

Dr. Lorne Everett, an expert for the citizens of Minneapolis states that:

Webmaster's Commentary:

I hope that the plaintiffs are successful in this case, and that GM gets its hat handed to it, financially.

I also hope this comes out of the hides of every GM executive who blithely signed off on this, to the point that somebody, or several people go to jail, and that it is not a financial penalty only.

Because it is only when culpable executives are imprisoned (and not in a "Club Fed") for their crimes that behaviour like this will stop.

McDonald's in global profit free fall as people everywhere increasingly reject chemically-altered toxic fast food

For decades, McDonald's has been the poster child of chemically-altered factory-made fast food. While preying on the emotional imprinting of children with on-site playgrounds and social engineering marketing tactics, the restaurant's true fundamental ethics are reflected in the horrors of the factory food industry: imprisoned chickens in tiny cages, genetically modified soy as meat fillers, chemically-altered menu ingredients and a geopolitical form of processed food imperialism that has resulted in McDonald's restaurants "occupying" hundreds of nations around the world while exporting obesity, diabetes and heart disease globally.

No Opting Out of Vaccinations Under Proposed California Bill

With the debate over vaccines reaching a fever pitch, it’s only logical a bill on the subject would hit the legislature, and one has. SB 277, introduced in late February, would remove exemptions from existing law that allow parents to forego having their children immunized for personal beliefs.

The bill would pertain to diseases like mumps, whooping cough and measles which, in part due to a recent Southern California outbreak, has been making a comeback.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, despite the existing vaccine (or more likely because of it) there is an outbreak of measles, and the government uses that outbreak to force every child to have that same ineffective and potentially dangerous vaccination!

Government employs con artist strategies to trick public into vaccinating, study suggests

The U.S. government is having a tough time dredging up enough convincingly sound science to persuade the public into believing that vaccines are safe and effective medicine, so it's now resorting to ignoble manipulation tactics to trick people into get jabbed. A new study published in the journal Health Promotion International found that swindling the masses into trusting the government is an effective way to maintain high vaccination rates without having to actually present the public with legitimate scientific evidence in support of vaccines (which doesn't exist).

Altered Genes, Twisted Truth—How GMOs Took Over the Food Supply

Genetically manipulated foods may be one of the most serious threats not only to our environment but to the health and very survival of future generations. Typically, the blame for the promulgation of genetic engineering of our food is placed on chemical companies.

But there’s actually a hidden back story to how genetically engineered foods were able to reach millions of dinner tables.

Steven Druker, who you may not be aware of, is the attorney who filed a lawsuit in the late ’90s challenging the most important action the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has taken in this area: its presumption that genetically engineered (GE) foods are Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) and can enter the market without a shred of safety testing.

Fracking Industry Conspiring To Cover Up Oklahoma Earthquake Evidence?

Are seismologists in Oklahoma being pressured to play down the connection between fracking and the state's recent uptick in earthquakes?

All of a sudden Oklahoma is one of the most earthquake-prone areas in the country. Last year, with a grand total of 585 earthquakes, Oklahoma far surpassed the notoriously seismic State of California. Seismologists postulate that disposal wells are to blame. Water and brine injected underground at enormous pressure can cause faults to slip, triggering an earthquake.

EU to lift ban on importing chicken from the U.S. which has been washed in controversial acid disinfectant

The EU is set to lift a ban on imports of chicken from the United States which are washed with a suspect acid disinfectant.

American producers routinely wash raw chicken following slaughter with a substance called peroxyacetic acid (PAA) to remove harmful bacteria.

The practice has been banned in Britain and Europe for many years because of a determination to remove harmful bugs at source, rather than using disinfectants to clean up carcasses.

There are also concerns that reliance on these washes could put consumers at risk by playing a part in the creation of superbugs.

However, the European Commission has signalled that it plans to lift the ban following pressure from the American government and US chicken producers.

Merck's mumps vaccine clinical tests were totally fabricated, say scientists

The typical news story seen lately tends to label "anti-vaxxers" as the worst type of conspiracy nuts -- a small group of tin-foil-hat-wearing wackos who threaten their children's lives and the rest of the populace with their paranoid delusions. Many news reports have advocated imprisonment for parents who refuse to vaccinate their children.

At the same time, vaccines are being promoted as completely safe and effective -- an assertion which is simply not true. There are mounds of evidence from dozens of studies indicating that many vaccines are neither efficacious nor harmless.

A glaring example is the extremely compelling evidence that Merck & Co., one of the largest vaccine manufacturers on the planet, has provided false statements and faked clinical trials in connection with their mumps vaccine.

Stone tool in Oregon forces archaeologists to rethink settlement timeline

An ancient stone tool, carved from a piece of agate, was recently uncovered in the high desert of Oregon. Most significantly, the tool was unearthed from beneath an undisturbed layer of ash linked to a Mount St. Helens eruption 15,800 years ago.

"Given those circumstances and the laws of stratigraphy, this object should be older than the ash."

McDonald's desperation mounts as burger behemoth reports lousy Februrary U.S. sales

Now what? Two months after McDonald's launched a massive revamped "I'm Lovin' It" ad campaign from Leo Burnett Chicago, the situation at the burger behemoth has grown even more dire.

McDonald's today reported that comparable restaurant sales in the United States February plummeted 4 percent year over year. McDonald's attributed the huge falloff not to weather — even though parts of the country had a pretty miserable February — but rather to "ongoing aggressive competitive activity."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Health-aware people (you know, the ones suffering from the mental illness orthorexia nervosa) are staying clear of McDonald's, but behind that there is the reality that McDonal's original market plan was as a budget fast food place. GAS INDUSTRY’S SOLUTION TO TOXIC WASTEWATER: SPRAY IT ON ROADS

In parts of Pennsylvania and New York, the answer to ice-slick wintry roads is simple: Put some gas production waste on it. Municipalities in the northern parts of both states use the salty wastewater from oil and gas production to melt ice in winter and suppress road dust in summer. The salty liquid does a great job: The brine can be as much as 10 times saltier than typical road salt. Plus it comes cheap; oil and gas companies, glad not to have to pay for disposal, will sell it to towns for cheap, or give it away free. Both states’ environmental protection departments consider brine spreading to be a “beneficial use” of the industrial waste, meaning, inlegal terms, that recycling it in this way “does not harm or threaten public health, safety, welfare or the environment.”

I won’t go into the specifics of how it all works, for most of us won’t really understand it anyway, but to summarize, he does this by taking entomopathogenic Fungi (fungi that destroys insects) and morphs it into not producing spores. This in turn actually attracts the insects who then eat and turn into fungi from the inside out!

Biologist explains how marijuana causes tumor cells to commit suicide

The therapeutic potential of cannabis appears limitless, extending far beyond just relieving nausea or pain in the terminally ill. Christina Sanchez, a molecular biologist from Compultense University in Madrid, Spain, has been studying the molecular activity of cannabinoids for more than 10 years, and during this time she and her colleagues have learned that tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the primary psychoactive component of cannabis, induces tumor cell "suicide" while leaving healthy cells alone.

This amazing discovery was somewhat unexpected, as Sanchez and her team had initially been studying brain cancer cells for the purpose of better understanding how they function. But in the process, they observed that, when exposed to THC, tumoral cells not only ceased to multiply and proliferate but also destroyed themselves, both in lab tests and animal trials.

It’s estimated that at least 3 million households may have to pony up 1% of their income, or $95 per adult, if they don’t have insurance; a number which is poised to expand to 2.5% for the 2016 tax year.

However, for all its bluster and intimidating language, the Affordable Care Act might not have any teeth. Recently, a tax expert writing for Forbes noticed that Obamacare, while far-reaching and burdensome in terms of what it demands from the American people, offers little to no repercussion for anyone who would be tempted to avoid it.

Opting Out Of The Obamacare Tax: What Happens If You Don't Pay?

Last month, the Obama administration announced that between three and six million households – about 2 to 4 % of taxpayers – would be faced with a penalty (or is it a tax?) at tax time for failing to secure “minimum essential coverage” to comply with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), sometimes referred to as Obamacare.

Nearly 4 in 10 clinical trials based on false information; FDA routinely ignores blatant science fraud

One of the most important responsibilities of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in protecting public health is to conduct regular inspections of clinical trial sites to ensure that good clinical practices are being followed. But a new study published in the peer-reviewed journal JAMA Internal Medicine has found that nearly half of all clinical trials are based on false information, and the FDA typically does nothing to address this widespread problem.

Activist doctor: Prescription painkillers are ‘absolutely’ a bigger problem than heroin

While many people don’t consider prescription medications part of the “war on drugs,” Ora.tv host Larry King’s guests on Friday argued that they are part of a worse addictive cycle than non-legal drugs.

“So vicodin is a bigger problem than heroin,” King asked Cliffside Malibu Treatment Center medical director Damon Raskin.

“Oh, absolutely,” Raskin said, pointing out that Americans consume nearly 100 percent of Vicodin worldwide.

“It’s a related problem,” addiction specialist Bob Forrest added.

Science as the New Religion

The latest example of this comes via National Geographic which recently published an article titled, "Why Do Many Reasonable People Doubt Science?," which claims:

We live in an age when all manner of scientific knowledge—from the safety of fluoride and vaccines to the reality of climate change—faces organized and often furious opposition. Empowered by their own sources of information and their own interpretations of research, doubters have declared war on the consensus of experts.

Indeed, just as religions claimed a monopoly on morality and spirituality, National Geographic condemns those "empowered by their own sources of information" and "their own interpretations of research," maintaining that the only truth to be found is amongst the "consensus of experts."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Let me preface this by saying I come from a science background myself, but all too often science gets hijacked and distorted for political or economic gain, or simply makes goofs which are perpetuated by arrogance!

Why should we not just blindly trust science?

Alchemy, for one.

Phlogiston Chemistry, for another.

Prior to the 14th Century Astronomers thought the Earth was the center of the universe, because, well, that's what the church wanted, and spent hundreds of years of scientific research on the theory of Epicycles; which holds the record for longest running scientific goof!

17th Century doctors thought rubbing chicken dung into your scalp would cure baldness! They also thought leeches sucked disiease out of patients.

18th Century Geologists thinking the Earth was 6000 years old, because, well, that's what the church wanted!

Prior to the 1950s, scientists thought proteins carried our heredity.

Until the 19th Century, doctors though infection was caused by bad air.

Scientists claimed cigarettes were good for you up until the 1950s. They even had a machine to pump tobacco smoke into your anus, the origin of the phrase "blowing smoke up your a**!"

Until 2005, doctors thought ulcers were caused by stress.

National Geographic should not be questioning why people do not trust science after its own 1999 "Piltdown Chicken" scandal!

So why does National Geographic think we should just assume science has all of the correct answers today?

New Study: Endocrine Disruptors in These 6 Products Causes Obesity & Lowered IQ

Researchers from New York University (NYU) have published a study showing how endocrine disrupting elements found in common chemicals and pesticides “could be disrupting hormones resulting in health costs of up to €157 billion ($209 billion) across Europe.” Thomas Zoeller, biology professor at the University of Massachusetts (UM), told the press : “I hear often this concept that if there isn’t overt toxicity, you don’t have a problem. The effects of EDCs on the population level are not consistent with overt toxicity like death or cancer. A decrease in IQ is not something that’s visible on the surface, but you are taking away human potential.”

VIDEO: How ADHD Is Linked To A Failing Education System

Robinson believes that ADHD is a by-product of this chaos, pointing out that the condition “has risen in parallel with the growth of standardized testing”. He questions whether the children who are being prescribed Ritalin to calm them down aren’t simply being anesthetized instead, adding that a focus on the arts (being present and fully alive) would be a much better solution to the problem of boredom and fidgeting in class. “Anesthetics shut your senses off and deaden them,” says Robinson. “We shouldn’t be putting [children] to sleep; we should be waking them up.”
