The Fine or the Crude Art of Window Dressing – Hypocrisy at its Best

It is simply tit for tat and it is part of the window dressing routine that both sides have to engage in for a long while.

In the meantime, again we are being told by the Administration officials and the mass media that Iran continues to be the world’s biggest supporter of terrorism and is busy destabilizing the region by backing the Assad regime in Syria, the Shi’a militia in Iraq, and the Houthis in Yemen.

An exchange between US Ambassador to the UN and her Iranian counterpart is another example of the post-nuclear-agreement Cold War between the United States and the Islamic Republic:

The Iranian administration, reading and hearing the foregoing rhetoric on a daily basis, is certainly not going to take all the allegations and insults without reacting in kind. Both sides must remain actively engaged in window dressing and face saving charade for some time.

One Way to Handle the Crisis in US-Russia Relations

What we are witnessing is the rise of a new wave of the most dangerous arms race with totally unpredictable consequences.

At the moment it is unrealistic to expect a speedy improvement in US – Russia relations. This is to be regretted, but it is a fact: these relations have reached perhaps the lowest point and are even worse than during Soviet times – a really disturbing development.

The general public is aware that both nations are facing off on the political, economic, and informational fronts. However, they also confront each other in yet another area which is only followed by a narrow circle of experts, though it bears directly on the most important security issues facing the whole planet.

The reference is, of course, to major arms control treaties. These took many years and tremendous efforts to negotiate, and yet they now dissolve one after another.

Israel exploits Syrian chaos to plan looting of Golan oil

The Afek oil and gas exploration company has almost completed its second drilling test in the Golan Heights, a part of Syria which Israel has occupied since 1967 and annexed in violation of international law.

The test is part of a three-year program to see if hydrocarbons in the area could lead to oil or gas for Israel.

Israel is fuel-poor and its domestic energy woes could be eased in the interim if the government progresses on deals in relation to the Tamar and Leviathan gas fields in the Mediterranean Sea.

Revealed: Erdogan's Daughter Heads a Covert Hospital to Help ISIL Injured Members

A London-educated scion of wealthy family and the eldest daughter of totalitarian President Erdo?an, Sümeyye Erdo?an, more than once announced her intention to be dispatched to Mousl, Iraq’s once second-biggest city and ISIL's stronghold to do relief works as a volunteer which drew public ire and vast condemnation from Turkey’s opposition parties. Israeli army incursion into Syria hits refugee camp

The Israeli military on Wednesday stormed a camp for displaced Syrians near the boundary line between the 70 percent of the Golan Heights occupied by Israel and the rest of Syria, according to Syrian activists.

The al-Shahaar refugee camp is located near Jabata al-Khashab, a Syrian town in the Quneitra province. The area is mostly controlled by Syrian opposition forces fighting against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

“This camp includes a large number of civilians fleeing the fighting between opposition forces and the regime, and who were forced today to go to Jabata al-Khashab in search of refuge after the Israeli army’s raid,” Abu Hamza al-Jowlani, a media activist, told al-Araby al-Jadeed in an Arabic-language report.

Jabata al-Khashab, a nearby town, is located within the boundary lines of the United Nations-administered “buffer zone” between the Israeli-occupied portion of the Golan and the rest of the area.

British Royal Nazi Salute – a Sign of the Times

The British royal family is up in arms – excuse the pun – over old video footage that shows the young Queen Elizabeth giving a Heil Hitler salute. A photograph published on its front page by British tabloid newspaper The Sun has caused a storm of controversy, with the British monarchy denouncing it as an invasion of privacy. But the real significance is that the image shows how Western so-called democracies were – and still are – so close to embracing fascism.

There was a consensus among Britain’s ruling class during the 1930s that quietly but enthusiastically endorsed Hitler and fascism as a bulwark against democracy and socialism in particular.

Hillary’s secret war

Does she really think the American voters will overlook her criminal behavior and put her in the White House where she can pardon herself?

Recently, in conjunction with my colleagues Catherine Herridge and Pamela Browne, I read the transcripts of an interview Ms. Browne did with a man named Marc Turi, and Ms. Herridge asked me to review emails to and from State Department and congressional officials during the years when Hillary Clinton was the secretary of state.

What I saw has persuaded me beyond a reasonable doubt and to a moral certainty that Mrs. Clinton provided material assistance to terrorists and lied to Congress in a venue where the law required her to be truthful. Here is the backstory.

Mr. Turi is a lawfully licensed American arms dealer.

The Nuclear Agreement; Fantasies vs Facts

Iranians are celebrating the prospects of a long awaited relief from the economic pain that the sanctions had imposed upon the nation. While they blame the United States government for what they believe to have been an unjustified and unfair treatment, they are divided as to what the true motivating factors could have been behind America’s animosity toward Iran.

The majority opinion points to America’s insatiable appetite for a hegemonic control over the region and its energy resources. A much smaller segment of the population comprising of the more educated elites, believe that Israel and its Zionist supporters in the United States have been at the helm and steering America’s foreign policy in the Middle East toward Israel’s preferences, even at the expense of America’s own strategic interests.

Russia plans to ship fuel from Crimea to Syria

Russia plans to supply Syria with 200,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas per year via the Crimean port of Kerch, two trading sources told Reuters.

The plans are a further sign of cooperation between the two countries despite hopes in the West that Russia might stop shielding President Bashar al-Assad from pressure to step aside.

Moscow had been shipping significantly lower volumes of LPG to Syria via Kerch before Russia annexed the Crimea peninsula from Ukraine in March 2014.

The United States and the European Union, which say the seizure of Crimea violates international law, have imposed sanctions on individuals and business in Crimea, which include restrictions on use of the Kerch port.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is interesting that no one at Reuters wanted to sign their name to this piece of codswallop.

Would someone please send Reuters a message, please that the "Big Lie" no longer works, and whatever credibility this alleged new organisation ever had, has now been well and truly flushed?!?

Russia did not annex Crimea.

After a US/NATO/ECB Putsch against the previous government last year, and the illegal installation of Poroshenko was accomplished, Crimea found itself without a legitimate government.

At that point, Crimea, which had been historically a part of Russia, until it was annexed by Kruschiev in the 50's, decided to request to become a part of the Russian Federation, in a free and fair election, witnessed by international observers. Russia accepted this referendum, and Crimea was again part of Russia, through the will of the Crimean people; not an annexation by Russia.

Russia has done nothing wrong, and the world knows this.

The US government narrative on Crimea is an absolute piece of fabrication, to goad Russia into a military conflict and thinking Americans have come to the place where they know they cannot trust anything the Us government says...except, occasionally about the weather; sometimes, they do get actually that right.

Britain says its pilots conducted Syria air strikes

British pilots have taken part in air strikes against Islamic State militants in Syria, the defence ministry said on Friday, angering some lawmakers who two years ago refused to back military action there.

The ministry said pilots had taken part in Syrian missions on behalf of its allies, the United States and Canada, and were "effectively operating as foreign troops".

Prime Minister David Cameron, who knew of the pilots' role, failed to get approval from lawmakers in 2013 for military action in Syria. Britain conducts regular attacks in neighbouring Iraq.

"There is an element of sophistry going on here ... at the very minimum, an insensitivity to parliament's will," John Baron, a lawmaker from Cameron's Conservative Party, told BBC radio.

Iran’s Long-Game Diplomatic Strategy

Iran has sought negotiations with the U.S. for two decades, but both Democratic and Republican administrations favored hostility demanded by Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Now that Iran nuclear deal is completed, the attention of Western news media and political commentators is predictably focused overwhelmingly on the opposition to the agreement within the U.S. Congress and from Israel and the Saudi-led Sunni Arab coalition.

That media lens misses the real significance of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, which is that Iran succeeded in negotiating an agreement with the United States that upheld its national right to a nuclear program despite the obvious vast disparity in power between the two states. That power disparity between the global hegemon and a militarily weak but politically influential regional “middle power” has shaped not just the negotiating strategies of the two sides during the negotiations but, more importantly, how they came about in the first place.

Israeli commandos ‘assassinated Syrian general in 2008’ – NSA leaks

Israel’s naval commando unit shot and killed Muhammad Suleiman, a top military advisor to the Syrian President Bashar Assad in 2008, according to a leaked National Security Agency file, published by The Intercept.

Suleiman was shot in the head and the neck, whist he was hosting a dinner party at his villa in the seaside Syrian city of Tartus. The Israeli commandos then proceeded to escape via the sea, the report stated, citing an internal document, which was obtained from the trove of files leaked by the former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.

NSA document: Israeli special forces assassinated top Syrian military official

Evidence has emerged from leaked US signals intelligence intercepts that Israeli special forces were responsible for assassinating a senior Syrian military official who was a close adviser to President Bashar al-Assad.

Brig Gen Mahmoud Suleiman was shot dead on a beach near the northern Syrian port of Tartus in August 2008. The Guardian reported at the time that the seaside murder was perpetrated by a sniper firing from a yacht moored offshore.

Israel has never commented publicly on suspicions that it was involved. But newly revealed secret US intelligence documents state as a fact that Israeli special forces killed the general.

The World Rebukes Netanyahu

In a rare rebuke to his bullying, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu failed to stop the United States and five other world powers from reaching an agreement to constrain but not eliminate Iran’s nuclear program. Yet, Netanyahu still is dominating how the U.S. public and congressional debate is being framed, with Iran accused of regional “aggression” in four countries.

There is little truth and much exaggeration to Netanyahu’s depiction of what is going on in the Middle East. Yet, the U.S. mainstream media mindlessly reprises Netanyahu’s falsehoods...

Netanyahu’s reference to “Iran’s aggression,” which is now becoming a conventional-wisdom talking point in Official Washington, was curious since Iran has not invaded another country for centuries. In 1980, Saddam Hussein’s Iraq – at the urging of Saudi Arabia – invaded Iran. But Iran has not invaded any of the four countries that Netanyahu cited.

US/Israeli/Saudi ‘Behavior’ Problems

There is a madness in how the mainstream U.S. media presents the world to the American people, a delusional perspective that arguably creates an existential threat to humanity’s survival. We have seen this pattern in the biased depiction of the Ukraine crisis and now in how Official Washington is framing the debate over the Iranian nuclear agreement.

In this American land of make-believe, Iran is assailed as the chief instigator of instability in the Middle East. Yet, any sane and informed person would dispute that assessment, noting the far greater contributions made by Israel, Saudi Arabia and, indeed, the United States.

The larger issue for the American people is what to do with this insane political-media system that dominates Official Washington. Either these powers-that-be are detached from reality or they are deceitful propagandists who think they can manipulate us with lies and distortions.

A Review of GAZA WRITES BACK — Gary Corseri

I have sometimes thought that if wars could be shown in slow-motion, we could put an end to this barbarism that gives the lie to all claims of “civilization” and “humanity.”

GAZA WRITES BACK is one of those very rare books that depicts war in slow motion.

The 23 stories here, written by 15 young authors (from late teens to early 30s, all but three female) were compiled to commemorate the 5-year anniversary of “Operation Cast Lead”—the name Israel gave to its 2008-2009 campaign to once more (but not finally) “mow the lawn” in Occupied Palestine—mostly, in this case, in Gaza.

It is a book that vivifies and personalizes the horrors, but also adumbrates the gnawing losses, the indelible memories.

ISRAELI SPECIAL FORCES ASSASSINATED SENIOR SYRIAN OFFICIAL

On Aug. 1, 2008, a small team of Israeli commandos entered the waters near Tartus, Syria, and shot and killed a Syrian general as he was holding a dinner party at his seaside weekend home. Muhammad Suleiman, a top aide to the Syrian president, was shot in the head and neck, and the Israeli military team escaped by sea. While Israel has never spoken about its involvement, secret U.S. intelligence files confirm that Israeli special operations forces assassinated the general while he vacationed at his luxury villa on the Syrian coast.

Israel’s involvement in Suleiman’s assassination raises questions about both the purpose of the killing, as well as whether Israel violated international law in conducting the operation.

Syria represents worst refugee crisis in 25 years: U.N. official

More than 4 million Syrians have fled the country since the start of the four-year-long civil war, making it the worst refugee crisis in a quarter century, according to the United Nations.

The Office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees reported that the total number of Syrian refugees “could be more than 4.25 million by the end of 2015?.

Additionally, more than 7.6 million Syrian people are internally displaced.

“This is the biggest refugee population from a single conflict in a generation,” said António Guterres, U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees.

“It is a population that deserves the support of the world but is instead living in dire conditions and sinking deeper into abject poverty,” Guterres said in a statement on Thursday.

Canada intensifies air campaign in Iraq

Canadian fighter jets have stepped up airstrikes in northern and central Iraq as Iraqi government forces struggle to contain advances by Islamic State militants, bombing 18 targets in the past four weeks.

Canada’s intensified air campaign has not conducted any airstrikes recently against ISIL targets in Syria. In fact, three months after a controversial motion passed Parliament to expand the air war into Syria, the U.S.-led coalition has assigned CF-18s to attacks on Syrian territory only three times.

Obama Talks Escalation, But Officials Say ISIS War Strategy Unchanged

In his latest protracted speech about the ISIS war, President Obama insisted that the war is continuing to go well, citing thousands of ISIS fighters killed, and talked up escalating airstrikes against ISIS in Raqqa, insisting that the recent attacks “proved” ISIS would eventually be destroyed.

That “eventually” could be a long time indeed, as Obama described the conflict as a “generational struggle” that would be one at some unspecified point in the future. In the meantime, it’s all airstrikes, and bragging about body counts.

Pentagon officials, however, say that the basic ISIS war strategy are unchanged, beyond an increase in the number of airstrikes in recent days. Officials continue to maintain that, despite mounting losses on the ground, the existing strategy is the right one.

US-led air strikes hit Isis stronghold of Raqqa

US-led coalition aircraft have conducted a series of air strikes targeting the Islamic State stronghold of Raqqa in eastern Syria, killing at least 10 militants and wounding many others, in one of the largest such operations in the country to date.

At least 16 air strikes were reported late on Saturday and early on Sunday. The US-led coalition often targets Isis-held towns and cities in Syria, but the overnight strikes on Raqqa were unusual in their intensity.

A US military spokesman said the air strikes had destroyed Isis-controlled structures and transit routes. “The significant air strikes tonight were executed to deny Daesh the ability to move military capabilities throughout Syria and into Iraq,” said Lt Col Thomas Gilleran, using the Arabic acronym for Isis.

“This was one of the largest deliberate engagements we have conducted to date in Syria, and it will have debilitating effects on Daesh’s ability to move” from Raqqa, he said.

Obama’s war is in its fourth year – using Islamic State and other takfiri terrorists as US proxies to replace Bashar al-Assad with a pro-Western puppet.

Lavrov stressed Russia will continue “all possible assistance to increase (Syria’s) ability to resist the evil” of terrorist forces battling to overthrow its government.

Turkey’s growing unease about the consequences of the Syrian crisis

Syria was once the jewel in the crown of Turkey’s “zero problems with neighbours” policy. However, the Arab Spring and Syrian revolution not only devastated that policy but also led to a big economic burden stemming from an ever-increasing number of Syrian refugees fleeing from the brutal violence and crossing into Turkey. The Syrian crisis also crystallised Turkey’s Achilles’ heel, Kurdish separatism, and the Sunni-Alawite split as the spillover effect of the Syrian conflict became more and more evident with the appearance of new, and unwelcome, neighbours along the 900 km border: the Jihadist groups Al-Nusra Front, ISIS and the Democratic Union Party (“Partiya Yekîtiya Demokrat” or PYD, the Syrian branch of the PKK).

Syrian Christian leader tells West: 'Stop arming terror groups who are massacring our people'

The world leader of Syria's besieged Christians has issued a heartfelt plea to the West to "stop arming and supporting terrorist groups that are destroying our countries and massacring our people."

The Patriarch of Antioch, Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, said he was not asking the West for military intervention to defend Christians.

If the West wants to do something about the present crisis, the most effective thing would be to support local governments, which need sufficient armies and forces to maintain security and defend respective populations against attacks.

"State institutions need to be strengthened and stabilised. Instead, what we see is their forced dismemberment being fuelled from the outside," he told Vatican Insider.

As Iran nuclear deadline passes, narrative battle heats up

The real issue holding things up is whether the Americans have the "political will" to make that leap, to agree in writing to its obligations (without 100 caveats) and the courage to face their sprawling bureaucracy whose bread-and-butter is the 'sanctions industry' and the 'Iranian enemy.' says Sharmine Narwani

It’s D-Day in Vienna, and the parties sitting across the negotiating table still haven’t ironed out terms to settle a 12-year standoff over Iran’s nuclear program. Expect this deadline to be missed. And prepare for a lot of hot air to fill its space.

The “hot air” is calculated narrative-spin from a range of players that seek to 1) scuttle a deal, 2) increase pressure/create leverage at the negotiating table, or 3) frame an upcoming agreement in language favorable to one side.

US admits paying terrorists for services rendered in Syria

When researchers such as myself reported that the United States is funding al-Qaeda, Nusra, ISIS and other related terror organizations in Syria, we were not kidding. Still, despite the fact that even the U.S. government itselfhas admitted that it was funding terrorists– directly and indirectly through Saudi Arabia, the suggestion was met with disbelief, ridicule, or either entirely ignored.

Letter to God

Please forgive my cynicism and negative connotations in this letter but I find it is often necessary to infuse the negativity to emit action, anger and resolution.

Why do You allow the criminal, corporate media to continuously and incessantly lie to its citizens and not only misrepresent the facts but often fabricate stories in order to inflate the severity of the fiction?

Greece – A Moving Target

Mr. Tsipras lets it be known that if the Greek vote ‘yes’ – for the austerity program, he may resign – that might bring the hegemon’s desired ‘regime change’.

Greece is a moving target. A new bail-out package in the wings? Being negotiated as these lines are going to print? An act of desperation? – Confusing for sure – for the electorate, for observers – but especially for the suffering every-day Greek. Almost hour by hour things are changing.

A last-minute, last ditch negotiation with Brussels for a new bail-out program has apparently been initiated by Athens for two years. No amount has been mentioned – let alone the austerities that Greece would have to accept – or the troika.

Russia Vows Continued Support for Embattled Syria

Obama's war is in its fourth year - using Islamic State and other takfiri terrorists as US proxies to replace Bashar al-Assad with a pro-Western puppet.

Continued conflict killed over 200,000, displaced millions more and created the world's greatest internal and external refugee crisis. Nothing in prospect suggests ending things diplomatically.

Putin and Sergey Lavrov met with Syrian Foreign Minister Wali al-Moualem in Moscow. They pledged continued support in fighting terrorism.

Turkey Plans To Invade Syria

By Brandon Turbeville

Even worrying members of his own government, Turkish President Recep Erdogan is showing the world just how he earned his being shown the door in the last election. This is because Erdogan has recently announced plans to invade Syria, occupy a swath of land on the southern Turkey/Norther Syria border, and establish a buffer zone there...

This recent announcement involves the commitment of Turkish Air Force and infantry which will then be used to not only establish a “buffer zone” in Northern Syria but also to occupy that zone...

Syrians in occupied Golan furious about Israel's alliance with al-Qaeda

Israel's most unlikely alliance is that it currently engages in with Jabhat al-Nusra, al-Qaeda's affiliate in Syria.

Despite a long history of anti-Israel and anti-Jewish rhetoric, the main victims of al-Qaeda's horrible sectarian attacks have been Muslims in the Arab world, along with western civilian and military targets. The movement has rarely targeted Israel.

‘New demands on Iran – deliberate stumbling blocks’

All sort of things in these negotiations are going on behind the scenes, not only between the P5+1 and Iran but between the Western allies as well.

Additional demands on Iran at the nuclear talks put forward by France are basically impossible to fulfill; it’s unlikely that they were made without the full knowledge and approval of the US, says political commentator Soraya Sepahpour-Ulrich.

Russia: Tit for Tat – Israel Shamir.

Summing it up, President Putin speaks softly. If he carries a big stick, he does not flash it around.

Hail, fire and brimstone, new sanctions or the US tanks on its borders, Russia takes things in stride. President Putin could adopt the motto of William of Orange: saevis tranquillus in undis, calm amidst the tempest.

In a surprise meeting with Syria's foreign minister, Russian President Vladimir Putin pledged his support Monday for Syrian President Bashar Assad and called on all Middle East nations to join forces to fight Islamic State militants.

Brilliant move by Putin. The US has made this ubervillain out of ISIS, and cannot complain that Putin is aiding ISIS opponents in Syria, can they? :)

Greece’s Downfall and Redemption

What the Greek people can turn to is a realistic and altogether more democratic and humane option – of demanding their country slash its monstrous military spend.

Decades of exorbitant military spending account for Greece’s present downfall under an Olympian-sized debt. European governments and news media portray the problem of Greece’s financial woes as public spending profligacy.

Cameron threatens RAF bombing raids against Islamic State in Syria: PM says response in wake of Tunisian beach massacre must involve 'military solutions'

RAF raids on Islamic State could be extended to its Syrian strongholds, David Cameron suggested yesterday.

The Prime Minister said ‘military solutions’ must form part of the response to IS in the wake of the Tunisian beach massacre. ‘We do need to crush IS in Iraq and Syria,’ he told MPs.

So, the purpose of the Tunisia false-flag was to escalate the conquest of Syria and the breakup of Iraq!

Turkey scrambles tanks to create ‘buffer zone’ on Syria border

Amid talk of a potential Turkish military intervention in Syria, the Turkish military is deploying tanks to the common border to create a “military buffer zone” there.

On Monday, Turkish armed forces began amassing near the Turkish border city of Sanliurfa, AFP reported.

The agency said Turkish officials were also discussing the potential intervention.

The planned buffer zone stretches 110 kilometers (68 miles) long and 28 kilometers (17 miles) wide between the southern Turkish towns of Karkamis and Oncupinar.

The forces are deploying opposite the border town of Kobani, AFP said.

Turkish daily Yeni Safak said Turkey had undertaken the measure to block possible advances by the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group and Kurdish groups.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"John Kerry, white courtesy telephone, please: paging John Kerry, white courtesy telephone, please!"

It is apparent that Edrogan hasn't received the memo from Kerry about the Kurds in the region being part of the US's defense against Isis.

This could be a real flustercluck in terms of US foreign policy in the region.

Russia Promises "Economic And Military" Aid To Syria As US Refloats Assad "Chemcial Weapons" Trial Balloon

Then again, as we reported earlier this month in "The Noose Around Syria's Assad Tightens", the advent of ISIS has added a new wrinkle to the Assad "war", where as a result of a brutal, US-funded mercenary force which has taken over half of Syria's territory, Assad's days may indeed be numbered.

Which would provide for a useful return of the chemical weapons narrative: the "desperate dictator" is now a loose cannon, and all it takes is another false flag chemical attack to rerun the staged events of 2013, this time hopefully achieve the outcome the US is hoping for - planting a US-friendly regime, and one which would be agreeable to a Qatar pipeline crossing the land.

And then there are all the "positive" Keynesian externalities: after all there is nothing quite like a "limited" war to boost a nation's GDP. In this case, the nation being the US of course, by way of its military-industrial complex, which is to US military spending as the US banking criminal syndicate is to the Fed's monetary policy.

The only question is whether this would be a limited war, and as Syria just revealed it won't be, because yet again Russia has made it very clear that any US military intervention in Syria, no matter how depleted the Syrian army is due to fighting ISIS on the ground every day, will be met with a proportional Russian response.

Reports: Turkey Plans to Invade Syria to Fight Kurds

On Friday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued another vociferous anti-Kurdish speech, vowing Turkey would never allow the YPG to establish an independent state in northwestern Syria. Since then, reports are emerging that Erdogan has ordered the Turkish military to send troops into Syria to fight against the Kurds.

If true, the move would be hugely controversial, as the Kurdish YPG are being openly backed by the US in their fights against ISIS. Having Turkey, itself allied with the US, attacking the YPG and trying to carve out a “buffer zone” from Kurdish territory would be seen as bolstering ISIS.

The real opposition is likely to come from the Turkish military itself, however, and there are reports that Gen. Ozel, the Turkish military Chief of Staff, has delayed previous directives to intervene in Syria, citing questions about international law. The Erdogan government has been lobbying them heavily ever since, trying to convince them to be on board for the deployment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Again, IF true, this policy of Edrogan's will complicate things here mightily for the US military.

The Delphi Declaration – Paul Craig Roberts

The Delphi Declaration asks the European peoples, especially the Germans, to do the right thing and object to the plunder of Greece by the One Percent.

This appeal to goodwill is likely to fall on deaf ears even though the pillage of Greece will create a precedent that can then be applied to Italy, Spain, France, and even Germany.

European governments, European institutions and the IMF, acting in close alliance, if not under direct control of big international banks and other financial institutions, are now exercising a maximum of pressure, including open threats, blackmailing and a slander and terror communication campaign against the recently elected Greek government and against the Greek people.

In August 2013, the Obama administration lurched to the brink of invading Syria after blaming a Sarin gas attack outside Damascus on President Bashar al-Assad’s government, but new evidence – reported by investigative journalist Seymour M. Latin American Revolutions Under Attack

The World is Turning, Don't Let it Turn Away

Do not take the Latin American revolutions for granted.

They inspired the entire Planet. They brought hope to every corner of our scarred Earth. But now they are themselves in need of our support.

All of revolutionary Latin America is “screaming”.

As I described in two of my recent books, “Exposing Lies Of The Empire” and “Fighting Against Western Imperialism”, the Empire is using similar destabilization strategy against all countries that are resisting its deadly embrace.

Lower US Flag on 4th of July

We need to do a lot more searching, a lot deeper digging, if we're going to root out and destroy the virus that has been killing us for centuries!

For over half a century, I’ve written articles against racism and war. I was shocked and I grieved to see what happened at the Charleston Emanuel Church. Quickly, the call went out: We need to have a “conversation” about race in America! And, almost as quickly: Take down the Confederate flag! But, let’s be very clear: the Confederate flag is NOT a central issue here.

On the 4th of July, when Americans raise their flags as a proud symbol of their “freedom,” will anyone dare to lower their flags to half-mast to commemorate the 60,000 Americans who died in a now-acknowledged “unnecessary” war in Vietnam– let alone the millions of Asians?

Would it be disrespectful even to suggest such a gesture?

US TO BEGIN INVASION OF SYRIA

Unbeknownst to the general public, their elected politicians do not create the policy that binds their national destiny domestically or within the arena of geopolitics. Instead, corporate-financier funded think tanks do – teams of unelected policymakers which transcend elections, and which produce papers that then become the foundation of legislation rubber stamped by “legislators,” as well as the enumerated talking points repeated ad naseum by the corporate-media.

Such a policy paper has been recently written by the notorious US policy think-tank, the Brookings Institution, titled, “Deconstructing Syria: Towards a regionalized strategy for a confederal country.” The signed and dated open-conspiracy to divide, destroy, then incrementally occupy a sovereign nation thousands of miles from America’s shores serves as a sobering example of how dangerous and enduring modern imperialism is, even in the 21st century.

Pretext ISIS: US Poured Billions Into “Moderates” Who Don’t Exist

Webmaster's Commentary:

The overthrow of the al-Assad government will lead to an Iran standing pretty much alone in the region, which is the design intent, to give the US more "sway" in the P5+1 nuclear talks, and possibly attempt to create regime change in Tehran.

But considering just how "swimmingly" the US invasion and occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan have gone, coupled with the overthrow Qaddafi in Libya, and US intervention in Somalia, one might think that there might be just a "soupcon" of hesitancy by the US government to want to do this.

But of course, we are continuing to deal with a US government where one of the prime, critical criteria for employment is an absolutely pathological inability to think any scenario through to its logical conclusion.

And there is, unmentioned, the 500 lb gorilla in the living room, comfortably draped over the Bechstein piano, which no one, apparently, in the American government dares mention; that is Russia.

Although the deal with Cyprus this year has given Russians an alternative to their warm water port in Tartus, there is a question of how much aggression in Syria the US can conjure before Putin feels compelled to act in some manner, militarily. His moves here may be very asymmetric, but no less effective than direct military moves against the US.

And I would very much like to remind those in the US government and military that at this point in its history, the US military doesn't have the troop strength, the money, or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war against Russia; and that is what makes military aggression against it so dangerous.

Greece – the Way Out

The Greek people are being penalized for having had the audacity to elect a socialist government – How dare they! – That’s the verdict.

What the troika is doing to Greece these days is the pinnacle of financial terrorism. It is economic waterboarding. It is blackmailing of the first degree. These people are neoliberal fascists, putting the Greek government before a dilemma – ‘either you present us with an acceptable list of austerities, or we will prepare one for you’ – literally. An austerity plan you better accept, lest you may default and being expulsed from the European monetary union and maybe even the EU. That is their threat. That is what Brussels does to a brother; to one of theirs. There is not a shred of solidarity left in this miss-called ‘Union’. This ‘Union’ doesn’t deserve existing.

Israel’s Dangerous Game with Syrian Al Nusra Islamists

Recently, Israeli TV aired an interview (Hebrew, at the 2:00 mark) with a wounded Syrian fighter who was treated in Israel after being evacuated from the combat zone. As I, and many other journalists have reported, Israel, despite the false claim of neutrality in the civil war, has frequently intervened in the conflict on behalf of forces opposed to Bashar al-Assad. It does this less because it opposes Assad himself, than because its arch-enemies, Iran and Hezbollah, are the regime’s strongest allies.

It is becoming more and more apparent that the Islamic State for Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), or “Daesh” as it is known in Arabic, or ISIS – the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham — preferred by Israel supporters because of the uncomforting similarity between “Israel” and “ISIL” – is part of another Central Intelligence Agency operation to artificially create a new “strategy of tensions” for the Eurasian and African land masses.

Jewish Groups Lead Push To Crack Open Doors to Syria

Of the four million Syrians who have fled their war-torn country in recent years, at least 135,000 of them require immediate resettlement.

But America has absorbed fewer than 1,000.

For Jewish activists pushing the government to shift gears, that feeble number and the accompanying bottleneck in resettlement of Syrian refugees are troubling reminders of their community’s own experience during World War II.
------
Here it is again. Zionists push for war in Syria, destabilize the country, Jewish (and non-Jewish) war profiteers make money, Israel uses the situation to demand more "aid" money and weapons from the US, and Zionists push to undermine the homogeneity of Western nations by flooding them withe the "refugees" created by Zionist war mongering and covert ops. And the more "diverse" a country becomes, the harder it is to unite the people to resist Zionism and the death of the nation!

Over-the-Top: Sorry, but the Latest ISIS Horror Video Looks Like a BS Hollywood Reality Show

Yes, the war on terror was designed as a nebulous pile of dung that was never meant to ever end. You can’t win a war against an ideal.

And apparently now this war is being fought with show business… because that’s what war is.

Someone somewhere who cannot distinguish between what they see on television and what happens in real life is going to say the following is a heartless, disgusting article to write.

However, we live in a heartless, disgusting world where modern propaganda, false flags, and psyops have gotten to the point that they look like they are being directed by Michael Bay.

As if the videos of some of the so-called ISIS beheadings weren’t questionable enough. As if the news media reporting that ISIS is luring Western women into their dark nightmare world with Nutella and kittens wasn’t ridiculous enough.

Now we are given this.

Just read this Daily Mail headline. Read it twice before continuing and just let it sink in.

ISIS Has Started to Mint Its Own Gold Currency

Ever since its arrival in the Middle East, ISIS has been busy turning their organization into a functional government that is not unlike the institutions they’re fighting. They’ve created bureaucracies, school curricula, environmental controls, ID cards, and have provided their own twisted brand of law and order. They’ve even managed to achieve some of the more traditional staples of a government, such as taxing, looting, conquering, and wholesale murder.

Syrian leader can stop Islamic State terrorist group — Russian security official

The Persian Gulf countries should pray for Syrian President Bashar Assad who can stop the Islamic State militant group, deputy Russian Security Council chief Yevgeny Lukyanov said on Wednesday.
"I believe that countries of this region - Saudi Arabia, Persian Gulf states and may be others should pray for Bashar Assad. This is the last frontier of their security. If the Assad regime falls, then the IS next goal will be Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf states," Lukyanov said.
Some 5,000 Saudi nationals are part of the IS, he said, adding: "When the active phase of confrontation ends there, where will they go? They will come back [home]. What can they do? They can only kill people," he said.
