CHILD SOLDIERS FROM DARFUR FIGHTING AS MERCENARIES FOR SAUDI ARABIA IN YEMEN

The United Nations has called the war in Yemen the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. An intermittent blockade by the Saudis and their partners in the United Arab Emirates has pushed as many as 12 million people to the brink of starvation, killing some 85,000 children, according to aid groups.

Trump cutting Afghanistan troop levels in half

Trump has ordered more than 7,000 US troops to leave Afghanistan, cutting troop levels in half

In what appears to be the first major step toward ending America's involvement in a war fought for nearly two decades, the president has decided to cut the US military presence in Afghanistan in half, The Wall Street Journal reported. There are currently roughly 14,000 American service members in the war-torn country.

IRAQI PARLIAMENTARIANS ASK FOR IMMEDIATE APPROVAL OF BILL TO EXPEL US FORCES

Several Iraqi legislators condemned US President Donald Trump's snap visit to the country, calling for the approval of a bill to force Washington to withdraw its forces from Iraq.

Salam al-Shamri, a member of Sa'eroun faction at the Iraqi parliament, in a statement on Thursday deplored Trump's surprise visit as violation of Iraq's sovereignty, ignorance of international laws and continued threat against the neighboring states, calling on all political groups to immediately approve the bill to expel the US forces.

Also, Jamal al-Fakhir, another member of Sa'eroun faction, described Trump's visit as disrespect for the victims of the US-sponsored terrorism in Iraq and the region>>>

Trump Is Helping the Saudis Starve Yemen

In The Imperial Presidency, the historian Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr. warned that the habit of “indiscriminate global intervention, far from strengthening American security, seemed rather to weaken it by involving the United States in remote, costly and mysterious wars, fought in ways that shamed the nation before the world and, even when thus fought, demonstrating only the inability of the most powerful nation on earth to subdue bands of guerrillas in black pajamas. When the grandiose policy did not promote national security and could not succeed in its own terms, would it not be better to pursue policies that did not deform and disable the Constitution?”

These many years later, America is complicit in a mysterious war in Yemen that is waged by Saudi Arabia in ways that shame both of our allied nations. These famine-ravaged youngsters are what that war looks like. As Nicholas Kristof aptly put it, “Your tax dollars help starve children.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am getting just a little sick to my stomach, reading that last paragraph; I did not know (but am not at all surprised) that President Trump had a number of business deals with the Saudis before he came into office.

Mr. President, as long as I am breathing, I am compelled, as a Christian pacifist activist who never commends violence, to call you out on the US military assisting the Saudi Government in war crimes. And I am about to post some images the presstitutes in corporate media don't dare (warning: very graphic), and not a one of them has been photoshopped or altered in any way.

The Saudis are slaughtering innocent children, women, and the medically infirm.

Images:
Yemeni children shot and killed or maimed for life by Saudi air raids

Yemen ports have been successfully blockaded by Saudi and American troops, so no desperately needed food can reach those now dying of malnutrition
Images: Yemeni children dying from malnutrition, because Saudi/US forces have blockaded Yemeni harbors, so food cannot get in.

Cholera (possibly weaponised) rages, unchecked in Yemen, as the water infrastructure has been successfully destroyed by the Saudi military.
Images: Yemeni children dying from cholera (possibly weaponized), as the Saudis have destroyed all the water infrastructure in Yemen.

Mr. President; I must ask this question: I know US weapons manufacturers are selling American bombs to the Saudis, and making incredible profits from this, but at what moral cost to this nation?!?

I was hoping in 2016 that the next President this country elected, would not sign off on more war crimes, as did your predecessors Bush and Obama, starting with Afghanistan; Iraq; Libya; Yemen; and Syria, did; it very much pains me to say it, but sir, in your haste to make sure American weapons manufacturers could profit brilliantly from wars in places like Yemen, you have placed an indelible, moral crimson stain over this entire country's future which can never be cleansed.

And as you are caterwauling over your "great success" in having American ambassadors push their host countries into "buying American" when it comes to weaponry, I hope you can sleep without seeing those images of the dead, the dying, and the maimed for life, which I have attached above; because Mr. President, I cannot sleep because of this, nor can many of the good moral people who elected you, understanding very clearly, that these weapons are causing the deaths of so many innocents.

And I have a companion piece I would like to share:

Saudis leave American fingerprints on Yemen carnage.

Did Defense Secretary James Mattis Commit War Crimes in Iraq?

Retired Gen. James Mattis earned the nickname “Mad Dog” for leading U.S. Marines into battle in Fallujah, Iraq, in April 2004. In that assault, members of the Marine Corps, under Mattis’ command, shot at ambulances and aid workers. They cordoned off the city, preventing civilians from escaping. They posed for trophy photos with the people they killed.

Each of these offenses has put other military commanders and members of the rank and file in front of international war crimes tribunals. The doctrine that landed them there dates back to World War II, when an American military tribunal held Japanese Gen. Tomoyuki Yamashita accountable for war crimes in the Philippines. His execution later was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court.

During the siege of Fallujah, which I covered as an unembedded journalist, Marines killed so many civilians that the municipal soccer stadium had to be turned into a graveyard.

Dahr Jamail | James Mattis Is a War Criminal: I Experienced His Attack on Fallujah Firsthand

In November 2005 US marines in Iraq committed a massacre of 24 unarmed Iraqi civilians. The slaughtering of unarmed men, women, children and elderly people, shot multiple times at close range, was retribution for a roadside bomb attack on a convoy of marines. The war crimes were extremely well documented and the atrocity garnered international attention.

When it came time to bring the marines responsible for the massacre to justice, Mattis was the convening authority over the eight charged with crimes at Haditha.

Mattis went on to dismiss all of the charges leveled against the marines who had been accused of killing the civilians and of the eight originally charged, only one still faces possible prosecution, but one can guess how that will end up.

Dec 25 12:49

Hey, Remember How James Mattis Was Accused of Doing War Crimes?

It’s also worth remembering that Mattis is hardy deserving of the respect stowed upon him simply because he’s a military guy. In fact, Mattis very may well have committed war crimes while commanding Marines in Iraq. Per Aaron Glantz, who wrote a retrospective for Reveal when Mattis was first nominated for defense secretary:

Retired Gen. James Mattis earned the nickname “Mad Dog” for leading U.S. Marines into battle in Fallujah, Iraq, in April 2004. Two days before the statement, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said his US counterpart had responded positively to a his plan to invade the area of northeast Syria controlled by the SDF.

Israel ministers back expulsion of Palestinian resistance’s families

Israeli ministers yesterday voted to advance draft legislation that would see the relatives of alleged Palestinian assailants expelled from their homes and forcibly relocated to other parts of the occupied West Bank, reported the Times of Israel.

According to the law, proposed by Jewish Home MK Moti Yogev, “within a week” of an alleged attack – or even an attempted attack – Israeli occupation forces “will be permitted to expel the relatives of the Palestinian assailants from their hometowns to other parts of the West Bank”.

US Supports Terrorists in Syria

Russian Experts: US Supports Terrorists in Syria by Taking 50,000 Civilians Hostage in Al-Tanf
Russian experts said that the US is supporting the terrorists by incarcerating thousands of civilians in Homs province, referring to Washington's occupation of al-Tanf base in Eastern Syria

The Arabic-language website of SANA news agency quoted the experts as saying on Thursday that over 5,000 US military men are deployed in Northeastern Syria and al-Tanf region.

They added that the US troops are occupying al-Rukban camp in al-Tanf region as a cover to support the remaining ISIL terrorists in the region, while keeping 50,000 civilians in the camp as they face shortage of humanitarian aid.

The experts also said that presence of the US forces and their allies in Syria and their military measures in Syrian territories without any permission from Damascus is clear violation of the international laws, which should be prosecuted through the international court of justice as a war crime.

Other reports also said that human trafficking has increased in al-Tanf region and the terrorists plunder civilians' properties.

Great Insight Into Goering's Admirable Nuremberg Testimony (Russian Talk Show)

Great talk show TV from Russia. The officer explains that Stalin insisted that Nazi war criminals receive a trial rather than be immediately executed, to the consternation of Churchill and De Gaulle. The Nuremberg trials allowed a remarkable speech by Nazi leader Göring, who was a brilliant orator, in which he pointed out Western hypocrisy over racial war crimes: the Allies, after all, maintained their own form of racism in their colonies, and the Americans practiced segregation. Who were they to lecture Germans on racial oppression? The wily Stalin new this would come up, and looked forward to scoring propaganda points against his hypocritical and cynical allies. A Pentagon Famous for “Losing” $Trillions Makes “Accounting Error” and Refuels Saudi Yemen-Bombing Jets for Free

The Pentagon's "accounting error” regarding the refueling of coalition jets in Yemen is just another swindle in a long line of accounting issues from the poshest military in the world

According to a recent report, the Pentagon failed to charge the Saudi Arabia-United Arab Emirates (UAE) coalition waging war in Yemen for the refueling of planes as well as for the fuel itself. US Sets Up 8 New Military Bases Near Iraq's Borders with Syria

A commander of Iraq's Hashd al-Shaabi (popular forces) revealed that the US forces have established 8 military bases in Western Iraq, near the border with Syria, warning of Washington's plots to gain control over the strategic and oil-rich region.

He added that the Americans will take control of Western and Southern al-Rotba, which has not yet been cleansed, once it is through with setting up these bases.

He accused the US military of cooperating with the ISIL, saying that the terrorists will move more and more easily in the region if the US forces stand in control of the region.

Cancer as Weapon: Poppy Bush’s Radioactive War on Iraq

If George Bush Sr., Dick Cheney, Colin Powell and Bill Clinton are still casting about for a legacy, there’s a grim one that will stay around for an eternity.

At the close of the first Gulf War, Saddam Hussein was denounced as a ferocious villain for ordering his retreating troops to destroy Kuwaiti oil fields, clotting the air with poisonous clouds of black smoke and saturating the ground with swamps of crude. It was justly called an environmental war crime.

But months of bombing of Iraq by US and British planes and cruise missiles has left behind an even more deadly and insidious legacy: tons of shell casings, bullets and bomb fragments laced with depleted uranium. In all, the US hit Iraqi targets with more than 970 radioactive bombs and missiles.

It took less than a decade for the health consequences from this radioactive bombing campaign to begin to coming into focus.>>>

George H.W. Bush’s Complicity in the 1991 “Highway of Death” Massacre.

A “statesman” and “American hero”? What a lie!

When George H.W. Bush was president he ordered the massacre of Iraqi soldiers after the ceasefire in 1991, and after he had promised them safe passage out of Kuwait. This article, which went viral after the war, exposed Bush as a mass murderer and war criminal, directly involved in the “Highway of Death.” He is a “hero” only to Big Oil and the Wall Street financial empire. This account was assembled by the author and presented by her at a tribunal examining U.S. war crimes. It is still cited around the world on anniversaries of this war.

I want to give testimony on what are called the “highways of death.” These are the two Kuwaiti roadways, littered with remains of 2,000 mangled Iraqi military vehicles, and the charred and dismembered bodies of tens of thousands of Iraqi soldiers, who were withdrawing from Kuwait on February 26th and 27th 1991 in compliance with UN resolutions.

Trump Admin Mum on Syria “Rebel” Chemical Attack in Aleppo

On Saturday evening, a barrage of mortars filled with chemical weapons was launched into Syrian government-controlled territory in the Aleppo province by “rebels” linked to al Qaeda in the nearby Idlib province.

The attack – which was confirmed by both pro-government and pro-opposition sources – left over 100 civilians hospitalized after the gas released by the mortars caused “difficulty breathing, eye inflammation, shivering and fainting,” according to the head of the Aleppo Doctors Syndicate, Zaher Batal, as cited by Reuters. Batal and other Aleppo doctors suspect that chlorine gas was the substance responsible for the symptoms of those affected.

Despite the fact that chemical weapons were used by al Qaeda-linked militants in Idlib, the U.S. government and its allies have thus far been silent about the recent attack, even though the incident was covered by mainstream Western outlets such as CNN and Reuters. Instead, the U.S. announced a UN Security Council meeting — not to denounce the chemical-weapons attacks launched against civilians by an internationally recognized terror group but to address the recent hostilities between Russia and Ukraine over Crimea.

Here's a paradox of the last few decades: as American military power has been less and less effective in achieving Washington's goals, the rhetoric surrounding that power has grown more and more boastful. The cliché that our armed forces are the best and mightiest in the world - even if the U.S. military hasn't won any of its significant wars in the last 50 years - resonates in President Trump's promise to make America great again ... The commemoration not only tells us something about the Pentagon's custodians of our Vietnam War memories, it also reveals something much broader and deeper in American political and popular culture: a powerful need to think of ourselves as a righteous, just, and successful country that fights only righteous, just, and successful wars.

The Nefarious Reasons Behind the US and UK’s Sudden Concern for Civilians in Yemen

American, British and French military support for the murderous operations in Yemen should have stopped months, even years ago, if official humanitarian concerns were genuine.

At first glance, it may seem like a positive move. The Trump administration and London are both putting pressure on Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to implement a ceasefire in Yemen’s atrocious war.

What’s wrong with that, you may ask? Well, as Houthi rebels who took over Yemen at the end of 2014 are saying, the country has been under aggression for the past three years from a Saudi-led coalition supported militarily by the US, Britain and France. The unrelenting war on the poorest country in the Middle East has led to the world’s worst humanitarian crisis in decades, with over half of the population – some 14 million people – at risk of starvation, according to the UN
***
Last week, Washington announced that it was suspending mid-air refueling flights for Saudi and Emirati warplanes that have been pounding Yemen since March 2015, which has resulted in a horrendous death toll among civilians. The indiscriminate killing of the Saudis and Emirati air strikes has been amply documented, albeit downplayed by Western media. The latter keep repeating a figure of 10,000 dead in Yemen – a figure which has bizarrely remained unchanged for at least the past two years. The real death toll from air strikes is unknown but likely to be near 50,000.

"I Can Not Recall": The Reclamation of George W. Bush Is an American Tragedy

By Maj. Danny Sjursen
The whole charade plays best as farce. Absurdity incarnate. The sight of former President George W. Bush receiving a medal from Democrat Joe Biden – once an ardent opponent of Bush’s war policy – in Philadelphia for “his work with veterans,” on Veterans Day no less, induced nothing short of a gag from this veteran of two Bush wars – Iraq and Afghanistan.

George W. Bush, after all, led the U.S. military – to which I’ve dedicated my adult life – into two ill-advised perpetual wars, one of which was objectively illegal and immoral. In that war, in Iraq, some 7,000 American troops – including three of mine – were killed fighting in an unwinnable quagmire. Furthermore, though it slipped the attention of an American citizenry best known for its provincial inwardness, at least 250,000 Iraqis – mostly civilians – were killed. In a just world this would be labeled what it is – a war crime – but in this era of American hegemony, the populace simply sighs with apathy.

The US-led Coalition has resumed airstrikes East of the Euphrates River in Syria, and are using white phosphorous munitions, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

"The Americans have resumed intensive airstrikes against terrorist-controlled settlements along the Eastern bank of Euphrates, including, according to local residents, the use of white phosphorus munitions," Zakharova stated, speaking at a press briefing in Moscow on Thursday, Sputnik reported.

MONEY, SILVER, GOLD & CARS: ISIS FIGHTERS RECEIVED BONUSES FOR USING CHEMICAL WEAPONS – REPORT

Official ISIS documents, which have been obtained by the Russian RT TV, reveal that the terrorist group has financially motivated its fighters conducting attacks with chemical weapons.

According to the documents, many ISIS fighters received gold, silver and even cars for carrying out terrorist attacks. One of the documents reveals that this award program was created to encourage the terrorist group’s fighters to “fight the enemies.”

Head of the military documentation department of the Iraqi military intelligence department, Lt. Col. Jaber Asaad, told RT’s correspondent that these documents are a clear evidence that ISIS used chemical weapons in Iraq.

“All this confirms that the group possessed chemical weapons that are banned throughout the world,” RT quoted the Iraqi officer as saying.

Saudi Crown Prince Claims Assassination Attempt Against Him Was Thwarted

BBC Arabic reports based an exclusive Jerusalem Post story that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman told a group of Evangelical leaders who met with him in Riyadh earlier this month there was a recent plot to assassinate him, and that the plan was thwarted by Egyptian intelligence.

The Jerusalem Post first broke the story this week based on accounts of the returning Evangelical delegation who met with the crown prince on November 1. Joel Rosenberg, who led the delegation of American Evangelical Christians said MbS relayed that the head of Egyptian intelligence recently came to Riyadh to inform Saudi authorities that a terrorist cell with Saudi citizens had been caught in northern Sinai. “They were planning to assassinate me,” MbS told the American delegation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I cannot decide if this is Prince Bin Salman "jumping the shark" with this story, or if it is a pitiful bid for sympathy, to deflect both from his unrelenting "scorched earth" policy in Yemen, and the assassination of Khashoggi.

U.S. arms exports up 13 percent over 2017 as Trump champions deals

- U.S. arms sales to foreign governments rose 13 percent to $192.3 billion in the year ending Sept. 30, the State Department said on Thursday, a result of looser restrictions on sales coupled with high-level efforts to close deals.

President Donald Trump wants to make the United States, already dominant in the global weapons trade, an even bigger arms merchant to the world, U.S. officials have said, despite concerns among human rights and arms control advocates.

The largest U.S. arms contractors, who sell ships, tanks, airplanes, missiles and other goods to foreign militaries, include Boeing Co (BA.N), Lockheed Martin Corp (LMT.N), Raytheon Co (RTN.N), General Dynamics Corp (GD.N) and Northrop Grumman Corp (NOC.N).

The increase came in part because the Trump administration rolled out a new “Buy American” plan in April that relaxed restrictions on sales while encouraging U.S. officials to take a bigger role in increasing business overseas for the U.S. weapons industry

SAUDI ARABIA TO PAY FINANCIAL COMPENSATION TO SLAIN JOURNALIST’S FAMILY, FIANCÉE

Saudi Arabia had informed Turkey that it would pay financial compensation to the family and Turkish fiancee of Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi who was murdered inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul by a Saudi hit-squad on October, 2, Al- Jazeera channel reported a Turkish official as saying.

The Turkish official said the Turkish authorities have evidence on the fate of Khashoggi’s body, but the Saudi authorities are putting obstacles to reach it.

According to the source, when the Saudi prosecutor, Saudi al- Mojaab was asked about the fate of Khashoggi’s body, he said he had no information about the matter.

The source added that the suspects’ statement handed by al- Mojaab to the Turkish authorities were useless and did not help achieve any progress in the investigation.

Saudi journalist and writer Turki Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Jasser has died after being tortured while in detention, the New Khaleej reported yesterday.

The sources said that the authorities identified Al-Jasser as the admin using spies in Twitter’s regional office located in Dubai. He was arrested in March.

Saudis ‘don’t know how to use’ US bombs: Trump condemns deadly Yemen school bus strike… kind of

It wasn’t the US-made bomb, but rather the Saudi military’s inability to properly use the munition –despite all the American training– that led to the “horror show” bombing of a Yemeni school bus in August, Donald Trump has said.

A Saudi-led coalition airstrike on a school bus, that killed 40 children and maimed dozens of others in the busy market town of Dhahyan in northern Yemen on August 9, is not Washington’s fault, Donald Trump stated in an interview with Axios on Sunday.

Despite the fact that pieces of a 500-pound (227 kilogram) laser-guided MK 82 bomb made by Lockheed Martin were found at the site of the explosion, Trump shifted the blame for the tragedy to the coalition’s inability to use the US-supplied weapons properly.

Russia Warns Again of False Flag Chemical Attack in Syria's Idlib

Russian Defense Ministry’s Chief Spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said in a briefing in Moscow that they have got information about a possible false flag chemical attack being planned in Syria’s Idlib.
“Terrorists of the Turkistani Islamic Party transferred 20 containers with 10 liters of chlorine each from Ma'arat al-Nu'aman provocative acts,” Konashenkov said, adding that “local residents reported to the Russian Reconciliation Centre that this group of White Helmets searched for residents who would like to take part in staged video footage in exchange for food,” massdar news reported.

He also claimed that “six special radiation, chemical and biological reconnaissance vehicles have been deployed to Russian posts in the immediate vicinity of the demilitarized zone in Idlib province.”

Konashenkov stated that “the territory controlled by the United States in Syria, it should be noted that this is not a de-escalation zone, or a de-conflict zone, it is a grey zone in which the situation is rapidly deteriorating.”

The Hypocrisy of the United States

One can only marvel at the blatant, outrageous hypocrisy of the United States. This is on clear display in many areas: proclaiming support for self-determination while financing the oppression of the Palestinians; citing international law when it suits its needs, but violating international law, such as in the U.S. withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and stating that ‘all men are created equal’, as U.S. police officers gun down unarmed people of African descent. Multiple examples abound.

The government’s officials do nothing to hide this hypocrisy; rather, they seem to seek opportunities to flaunt it.

The most recent opportunity came when the U.S. called a special meeting of the United Nations to spotlight, it said, Cuba’s political prisoners. According to the U.S., Cuba has imprisoned 130 political prisoners. The U.S. called this a “blatant affront” to basic democratic freedoms.

KHASHOGGI’S BODY PARTS FOUND IN GARDEN OF SAUDI CONSUL GENERAL’S HOME – SKY NEWS SOURCE

Body parts belonging to murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi have been found, according to Sky News sources, who added that he had been “cut up” and his face “disfigured.”
The sources’ claim echoes a statement by Do?u Perinçek, leader of the left-wing Vatan party on Monday night. Perinçek told Turkish television that Khashoggi’s “body parts” had been recovered from a well in the Saudi consul’s garden, and added that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan would explain the findings later on Tuesday.

The news comes after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan demanded Saudi officials reveal the whereabouts of Khashoggi’s remains, after the Saudi government admitted Khashoggi had been murdered, albeit in a “fist fight” with officials inside the consulate in Istanbul.

"Jamal Khashoggi's body parts have been discovered" - Sources have told @AlexCrawfordSky "grisly details" about how Jamal Khashoggi's body parts were discovered.

The Insidious Wiles of Foreign Influence: Trump, Bin Salman, and Netanyahu

Even if the Saudi monarchy or Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in particular did not murder journalist Jamal Khashoggi, that regime is an especially evil one in both its domestic and international conduct. NEO – The Syrian War will go Nuclear

***
Events that have transpired in and around Syria and the Middle East with the defeat of ISIS during the fall of 2018 clearly prove one thing. The US and Israel, and under Trump the two are inseparable, intend to push Russia and China to nuclear confrontation.

The Pentagon is fully behind this, wanting to stop Russia and China before new weapons systems are fully deployed and America’s perceived nuclear advantage is gone forever. There are other reasons as well, indicating insanity among both American and Israeli commands.

Israel has millions of Palestinian hostages while the US has, over the last two decades, built nuclear shelters in Israel for up to 250,000 Jewish citizens, shelters that include ICBM silos with missiles that can hit anywhere in Europe.

Israeli historian thinks 1956 massacre was part of a secret plan to expel Palestinians

The highest Israeli officer tried for Israel’s 1956 Kafr Qasem massacre admitted that his trial was staged to protect Israeli leaders. An Israeli historian thinks the massacre was part of a secret plan to expel Palestinians from Israel

Israel’s Ha’aretz newspaper reports that the highest Israeli officer tried for Israel’s 1956 Kafr Qasem massacre admitted before his death that his trial was staged to protect military and political elites.

Israeli historian Adam Raz believes that a secret plan to transfer Israel’s Arabs was behind the 1956 attack, in which Israeli soldiers shot dead 19 men, 6 women, and 23 children (some reports give the total killed as 51). They were allegedly killed because they had violated an Israeli imposed curfew, of which they were unaware.

UN REPORTS OVER 8,000 AFGHAN CIVILIANS KILLED IN 2018, MOSTLY WOMEN AND CHILDREN

Adding to a growing list of UN reports released recently all showing a surge in Afghan civilian casualties in different manners, a Wednesday report was released showing that civilian deaths are surging from US and Afghan government airstrikes.

This has been ongoing through the year, with a decrease in US airstrikes in Iraq and Syria leading to more warplanes committed to bombings in Afghanistan. More US strikes means more civilians getting hit, meaning the casualty figures are at multi-year highs.

The UN figures show 649 civilian casualties in the US and Afghan airstrikes in 2018’s first nine months. This is 39% more than the same period in 2017, as well as more than the whole of last year. 60% of the casualties are women and children.

All these reports on all these different sorts of civilian casualties caused by the war show a general increase in violence against civilians on all fronts, with no signs of the violence slowing down any time soon.

Webmaster's Commentary:

17 years in Afghanistan, which have brought about nothing but more violence and misery for the Afghani people.

But the US government will not leave, because if our and NATO's military stay, we haven't lost this war.

This ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid rationale for keeping our military in Afghanistan will cost one hell of a lot more lives, both US and Afghani, until we finally get someone into the White House who realizes what an abysmal failure this war has been, and makes the right, moral decision.

That decision would be to evacuate US and NATO troops just as quickly as is safely possible, then negotiate with whatever government is left standing in Kabul for the pipeline rights; the rare earth mineral rights; and the rights to the opium poppy trade, which has skyrocketed since the inception o the US/UN invasion and occupation.

And I will assure you that, no, the images I am sharing below, have not been photoshopped.

US "INVESTIGATES" GENOCIDE IN MYANMAR, COMMITS GENOCIDE IN YEMEN

Rarely is US hypocrisy so cynical and overt as a recent US State Department investigation into ongoing violence in Myanmar, all while the US continues its full spectrum support of Saudi Arabia's genocidal war on Yemen.

In addition to Washington's role in Yemen, the US also occupies Afghanistan and Syria while carrying out drone strikes and covert military interventions in territory stretching from North Africa to Central Asia.

In Myanmar specifically, the US has openly and for decades funded and supported groups and individuals involved directly on both sides of ongoing ethnic violence. Now, it is leveraging that violence to single out obstacles to US influence in Southeast Asia and in Myanmar specifically.

Reuters in their article titled, "U.S. accuses Myanmar military of 'planned and coordinated' Rohingya atrocities," would claim:

Webmaster's Commentary:

I used to have a great deal of respect for this country,my birthplace, the United States of America.

But when your eyes are open to the horrific atrocities this country has committed, and is still committing against foreign populations, that respect transmogrifies into an horrific awareness, that this country is run by the monied, for the monied, and of the monied.

Elections change nothing; we simply get a glorified Kabuki like performance of people who have been pre-vetted by the monied and the US Deep State, and will only serve their interests, no matter if their interests are in sync with those of We the People, or not.

This is from indexmundi.com, which, for some unfathomable reason, still calls the country Burma:

The Natural Resources of Burma

The article goes on to state:

"Natural resources: petroleum, timber, tin, antimony, zinc, copper, tungsten, lead, coal, marble, limestone, precious stones, natural gas, hydropower, arable land

Definition: This entry lists a country's mineral, petroleum, hydropower, and other resources of commercial importance, such as rare earth elements (REEs). In general, products appear only if they make a significant contribution to the economy, or are likely to do so in the future."

And of course, as with every other country the US has invaded/pacified/conquered, which it wants here, is the following: a US-Centric government, well-kept with a lot of hush money for its top leadership, which does not mind the expropriation of its resources, and with those resources not being allowed benefit to the citizens of those countries, and all to be sold only for the US dollar.

The only thing left is to peacefully witness to the reality that in both Myanmar and Yemen, the mind-set of the US government and
Deep State, is that the people of these countries are only "collateral damage", to be disposed of in the most expeditious way possible, because that... is the US government's and Deep State's "Final Solution" for dispersing whatever wealth these countries do have in resources to US-friendly companies.

JAMES COMEY AND THE UNENDING BUSH TORTURE SCANDAL

The vast regime of torture created by the Bush administration after the 9/11 attacks continues to haunt America. The political class and most of the media have never dealt honestly with the profound constitutional corruption that such practices inflicted. Instead, torture enablers are permitted to pirouette as heroic figures on the flimsiest evidence.

Comey continues to use memos from his earlier government gigs to whitewash all of the abuses he sanctified. “Here I stand; I can do no other,” Comey told George W. Bush in 2004 when Bush pressured Comey, who was then Deputy Attorney General, to approve an unlawful anti-terrorist policy. Comey was quoting a line supposedly uttered by Martin Luther in 1521, when he told Emperor Charles V and an assembly of Church officials that he would not recant his sweeping criticisms of the Catholic Church.

US navy plans major show of strength in South China Sea as warning to Beijing

Freedom of navigation operation will take place amid rising tensions and near-collision between USS Decatur and Chinese vessel

The United States Pacific Fleet has drawn up a plan for a major show of force as a warning to China that will indicate its determination to counter Beijing’s military activity, it was reported on Thursday amid rising tension over the disputed South China Sea.

The plan would see planes and ships passing close to Chinese-claimed waters in the South China Sea and Taiwan Strait in a freedom of navigation operation, CNN reported, citing several unnamed US defence officials.

The proposal means US ships and aircraft will be operating close to Chinese forces and is expected to trigger a strong reaction from Beijing.
