Top GOP senators blast Obama admin’s waffling on arming Ukraine military

Two influential Republican national security hawks in the Senate hammered the Obama administration’s failure to take a more aggressive posture toward the war in eastern Ukraine Tuesday, asserting that the White House should “immediately” authorize the shipment of U.S. weapons to the Ukrainian military.

“The Chancellor of Germany and the President of France, with the support of the President of the United States, are legitimizing the dismemberment of a sovereign nation in Europe for the first time in seven decades,” Sens. Lindsay Graham of South Carolina and John McCain of Arizona said in a joint statement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Okay John, if you really feel that way, here's your rifle and here's your parachute. We ran out of the desert camo but here is a bright day-glo orange jumpsuit left over from the CIA's torture centers and we think the cleaners got most of the blood out. Watch your head climbing into that transport plane and we will call Putin and tell him you are on your way to kick his butt all by yourself.

But We The People remember the lies about stolen incubators that tricked us into the first invasion of Iraq.

We The People remember the lies about Saddam's nuclear weapons that tricked us into the second invasion of Iraq.

We The People remember how only a year ago you tried to trick us into war with Syria with more lies about poison gas.

We The People remember how there weren't really torpedoes in the Gulf of Tonkin or a Spanish mine in Havana Harbor, but how there really WERE weapons on board the Lusitania.

In short, We The People remember all the lies, frauds, and deceptions used to trick us into wars of conquest, to send our young people out to die in wars created out of thin air by and for the money-junkies. I think it is time that wee have a new rule in America; that those who want war are the first to the front lines. You are all splendidly brave with the lives of other peoples' children. Let's see the true measure of your courage and commitment to war.

You first!

NATO, not Russia, threatens Baltics: Moscow

Moscow has rejected the British defense secretary's allegation that Russia poses a threat to the Baltic countries, saying the real risk comes from NATO's increased activity.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Alexander Lukashevich, said Thursday that British Defense Secretary Michael Fallon's remarks are beyond "diplomatic ethics."

"The comments of Mr. Fallon of course are already beyond diplomatic ethics and the characterization of Russia is completely intolerable," Lukashevich added.

Obama’s “Fake War” against the Islamic State (ISIS). The Islamic State is Protected by the US and its Allies

Since August 2014, the US Air Force with the support of a coalition of 19 countries has relentlessly waged an intensified air campaign against Syria and Iraq allegedly targeting the Islamic State brigades.

According to Defense News, over 16,000 airstrikes were carried out from August 2014 to mid January 2015. Sixty percent of the air strikes were conducted by the US Air Force using advanced jet fighter and bombing capabilities (Aaron Mehta, “A-10 Performing 11 Percent of Anti-ISIS Sorties”. Defense News, January 19, 2015.)

The airstrikes have been casually described by the media as part of a “soft” counter-terrorism operation, rather than an act of all out war directed against Syria and Iraq.

Victoria Nuland the F**k the EU spiritual mother of Nulandistan is in trouble

Global Politics – a war of meanings

In the course of life today, we’ve grown accustomed to using terms whose meaning we might not fully understand. We throw them around casually, not realizing that they lose their meaning and sometimes even come around to stand for their exact opposite. This is precisely why the sense has arisen today in society that there is a need to determine in a clear and understandable manner exactly what is happening on the global chessboard in front of all of our eyes – the Big Story, written online.

“Islamic State Déjà Vu”: US Sponsored Islamic Fighters in the Balkans, Washington Was Behind the 2001 Terrorist Attacks in Macedonia

The following article focussing on the jihadist terrorist insurgency in Macedonia was first published by antiwar.com in July 2001, barely two months before the September 11, 2001 attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon.

Known and documented, since the Soviet-Afghan war, recruiting Mujahedin (“holy warriors”) to fight covert wars on Washington’s behest had become an integral part of US foreign policy. A report of the US Congress had revealed how the US administration – under advice from the National Security Council headed by Anthony Lake – had “helped turn Bosnia into a militant Islamic base” leading to the recruitment through the so-called “Militant Islamic Network,” of thousands of Mujahedin from the Muslim world.

Arkansas state senator suggests US nuke allies in order to deal with ISIS threat

Arkansas state Senator Jason Rapert took to Facebook to suggest that the best way to “quickly turn things around” in territory captured by Islamic State extremists would be a “strategically placed nuclear weapon.”

“I believe,” Rapert continued, “it is time to annihilate the strongholds and pursue the rest till we have them all captured or killed. A strategically placed nuclear weapon would save the lives of our soldiers and quickly turn things around.”

The Pentagon's massive $534 billion budget request could force deep cuts elsewhere

The Pentagon decision to seek a 2016 budget that far exceeds federal spending caps poses the risk of a big across-the-board funding cut like the one that forced the department to put civilian workers on unpaid leave two years ago.

But defense officials say the department will not repeat some of the decisions it made in 2013 that exacerbated the problem once the automatic cuts, known as "sequestration," went into effect nearly halfway through the fiscal year.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This kind of spending requested by the Pentagon can only mean one thing: they have been informed that they will be fighting in perpetual wars which will see no end in the lifetime of the Pentagon officials requesting this money.

US Navy ships look to establish Darwin military base, but China won't be happy, warns expert

American warships could be stationed permanently in Darwin as part of the United States military's strategic plan in the region, but an expert warns that will not sit well with China.

US chief of navy operations, Admiral Jonathan Greenert, said the US was considering having a permanent naval base in Australia.

Admiral Greenert recently visited Darwin to inspect facilities and infrastructure which could allow US warships to be based in the Top End.

At an address in Canberra this week Admiral Greenert said the US was "doing a study together with the Australian Defence Force to see what might be feasible for naval co-operation in and around Australia, which might include basing ships".

Australian National University (ANU) Senior Fellow Peter Dean said such a move would be part of the US plan for Asia and would add to the existing US Marine Corps presence in Darwin.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It will be interesting to see how much pressure, both overt and covert, that China will bring to bear on Canberra to prevent this from happening.

Has President Obama Once Again Sold Us Down the River?

So, the history of the past two years is as follows. First, President Obama was going to bomb ISIS in Syria but the public demanded that he request Congressional approval. Then about a year later he decided that he could use the Congressional authority (granted back in 2002) to go against ISIS and has done so since September 2014. And now with both houses of Congress in Republican hands, he is asking for limited authority even though he has been acting without renewed authority for over five months.

What does all this mean? It just means that (as I said before) “ . . . the people who control him and the government want war.” It’s all about the money, and nothing else.

Obama’s Force Authorization is a Blank Check for War Worldwide

Even if our policies led to no boots on the ground, the unintended consequences of blowback and the enemy obtaining more American weapons will continue. The CIA has said that 20,000 foreigners are on their way to Iraq and Syria to join the ISIS. Our government has no more credibility in telling us the truth about the facts that require us to expand our military presence in this region than Brian Williams. Constant war propaganda has proven too often to be our nemesis in supporting constant war promoted by the neoconservatives and the military industrial complex.

It’s my opinion that giving additional authority to wage war in the Middle East is a serious mistake. Instead, the authority granted in 2001 and 2002 should be repealed. A simple and correct solution would be for our elected officials to follow the rules regarding war laid out in the Constitution.

ALL WARS ARE BANKERS' WARS!

"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The Bankers own the Earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create deposits, and with the flick of a pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take it away from them, and all the fortunes like mine will disappear, and they ought to disappear, for this world would be a happier and better world to live in. But if you wish to remain slaves of the Bankers and pay for the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create deposits." -- Sir Josiah Stamp, President of the Bank of England in the 1920s, the second richest man in Britain

I know many people have a great deal of difficulty comprehending just how many wars are started for no other purpose than to force private central banks onto nations, so let me share a few examples, so that you understand why the US Government is mired in so many wars against so many foreign nations. Freudian slip? CNN says Obama considers arming pro-US troops...in Ukraine

Social media is abuzz after CNN labeled Ukrainian forces involved in Kiev’s deadly military operation in the country's southeast as “pro-US troops.” Online comments are calling it a Freudian slip, claiming it unmasks the true agenda behind the conflict.

The headline during CNN’s Monday segment, dedicated to talks between Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the resolution of the Ukraine crisis, read: “Obama considers arming pro-US troops.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This was absolutely no accident; right now, the news-reading presstitutes and their editors are desperately attempting to "script" their shows to create popular US citizen acquiescence to supporting Ukraine against Russia in the words uttered by the readers, and by the crawl under the images of their news readers.

The very carefully contrived use of language on the crawl was meant to say, "Ukrainian people and military ....good! They are pro-US troops, so their slaughtering of innocents, and the trail of human misery they are leaving behind is...GOOD!! Russia, however, is very bad, double plus un-good!!"

Is the West about to sell out Ukraine to Vladimir Putin?

As Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande fly to Russia, they will need to carefully gauge the psychology of a man who has brought Europe to the brink of war

Merkel and Hollande are talking with Putin (without consulting the White House that started this mess) because France and Germany were major battlegrounds for the first two World Wars and understandably are reluctant to allow a third on their territory.

Jordan mulls ground campaign against ISIL

Jordan is considering a military ground campaign against the ISIL Takfiri militants currently wreaking havoc on Iraq and Syria, a report says.

The Jordan-based daily newspaper Al Arab Al Yawm reported on Thursday that Jordanian officials are mulling a “quick-strike, lightning blow” against the terrorist group, according to the Israel daily newspaper JPost.

The report also said that the Jordanian government would then re-evaluate its strategy within the framework of the US-led coalition purportedly fighting the ISIL Takfiri group,

Boehner Expects Military Authorization Request Against IS Soon

U.S. House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner said on Thursday he expects President Barack Obama to seek congressional authorization for using military force against Islamic State soon and also called for speeding up assistance to Jordan.

"I'm expecting that there will be an authorization for the use of military force sent up here in the coming days. And we're going to go through a rigorous set of hearings and continue to discuss it," Boehner, the top House Republican, told reporters.

President Roosevelt's Campaign To Incite War in Europe:The Secret Polish Documents

Much has already been written about Roosevelt's campaign of deception and outright lies in getting the United States to intervene in the Second World War prior to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941. Roosevelt's aid to Britain and the Soviet Union in violation of American neutrality and international law, his acts of war against Germany in the Atlantic in an effort to provoke a German declaration of war against the United States, his authorization of a vast "dirty tricks" campaign against U.S. citizens by British intelligence agents in violation of the Constitution, and his provocations and ultimatums against Japan which brought on the attack against Pearl Harbor -- all this is extensively documented and reasonably well known.[1]

Senators to Obama: Arm Ukraine now

Republicans and Democrats on the Senate Armed Services Committee made a show of force Thursday to ramp up the pressure on President Obama to provide weapons to Ukraine.

"The United States must act with urgency to provide defensive lethal assistance to Ukraine," said Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), the committee’s chairman.

Russia Deploys Nuclear ICBM Launchers On Combat Patrol

Perhaps it is a coincidence that a day before John Kerry's arrival in Kiev (a visit which "coincided" with a 35% devaluation of the local currency) where among other things the US statesman discussed the possibility of official (as opposed to unofficial) deliveries of US "lethal support" to the civil war torn and now hyperinflation country, that Russia decided to put its nuclear ICBMs on combat patrol missions in various Russian regions. Specifically, according to Tass, "About 700 units of military equipment, including launchers are deployed in the positioning areas in the Tver, Ivanovo, Kirov, Irkutsk regions, as well as in Altai Territory and the Mari El republic."

US Taxpayers Will be Robbed to Arm Poroshenko

President Petro Poroshenko, who the US, along with the Europeans and NATO, helped place in power after last year’s coup, has declared that he has “no doubt” America’s taxpayers will provide the lethal weapons he desires to fight the separatists in eastern Ukraine. I never had any doubt, either. Of course it’s all to stop “Russian aggression.” NATO’s expansionism is never considered an important issue in the very dangerous war.

Our policy in Ukraine is a far cry from “neutrality,” staying out of the internal affairs of others, or avoiding entangling alliances. It is more like being the policeman of the world and claiming the title of the greatest arms manufacturer of all history. The military-industrial complex must be pleased with its repeated successes.

I’m sure the neo-cons are also ecstatic. And sadly it looks like Sen. Lindsey Graham may get his way and get US troops further involved.

U.S. Pushes For War In Europe

It is pretty obvious that significant forces in Washington push for a big war in Europe, cold at least but hot if possible. European countries, aside from some small U.S. puppets, are well aware that they would be hit hard in such a war, and do not want it.

The U.S. wants to deliver additional weapons to Ukraine and to thereby goad Russia into such a wider war. The arguments made that such weapon delivers would somehow restrict Russia are just stupid and only hide the real plans: Escalation until Europe is (again) up in flames.

Should the U.S. win in its drive to escalate the situation by delivering more weapons to Kiev Russia will not cave in. History suggest that a Ukraine under NATO at its border is a deadly danger. Russia must and will take countermeasures. The U.S. will then cite those countermeasures as signs of "further aggression" and as justification for another round of escalation. A few more rounds of such and Europe will be up in flames.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As an American who does love her country very much, but is seriously concerned about the directions its (alleged) leadership is taking it, I almost feel like writing Putin a letter of apology, stating, very explicitly, that it appears that the US Federal Government has, collectively, lost its mind.

Additionally, it is lying about the situations which drove Crimea to ask to become part of the Russian Federation; Russia did not "annex" Crimea. Crimea had been a part of Russia until the mid 1950's when Khrushchev, a native of Ukraine, annexed it to Ukraine. When Urkaine's former president, Victor Yanukovych was dumped in a US/ECB/ western-centric putsch, the people of Crimea realized that there was no legitimate leadership in Kiev.

And that is when they had the referendum, in what was characterized by observers as a free and fair election, to ask to join the Russian Federation.

Russia has done absolutely nothing wrong here, folks.

I keep going back to the statement the Moriarty character makes in the 2nd Sherlock Homes movie, featuring Morton Downey Jr. I am paraphrasing here, but it is something to the effect of knowing that war is coming, and the Moriarty character wants to have the lock on bullets and bandaids.

That is no less true today, from the companies which will make insanely extensive profits from their participation in the coming wars, be they in the Middle East, or in Ukraine.

Bibi’s speech to Congress boomerangs

In the past week Dermer, Netanyahu and Boehner have overcooked this dish until it’s ruined. Instead of enlisting Democratic senators to support new sanctions on Iran, the Israeli-American scandal had the opposite result. Netanyahu managed to do the impossible: He helped Obama rehabilitate his relations with his party members in the House and Senate.

The 10 Democratic senators who were considering supporting the sanctions are now toeing the White House’s line. The new legislation was put in the freezer until after the Israeli elections. Nancy Pelosi, minority leader of the House of Representatives, called Netanyahu and suggested reconsidering delivering the speech, and a group of congressmen started petitioning members for a letter calling on Boehner to put off his invitation to Netanyahu until April, when the prime minister may no longer be politically relevant.

Obama readies war powers pitch

The White House is poised to send a formal request to Congress asking for a new authorization to use military force against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

The request, expected within the next week, would come days after ISIS released a video showing a caged Jordanian pilot being burned alive — a further display of the group’s brutality that one Republican lawmaker described Wednesday as a “game-changer.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

So here is what I think is going on. The people of the conquered US provinces are taking their nations back (or keeping them from being conquered). But the US cannot sell the American people on wars of conquest for the profits of the money-junkies, and none of these nations would do anything the US could use as a provocation.

therefore, I think that ISIS is a manufactured enemy, basically 100 people and some special effects to commit terror attacks on video to create the new monster "brand." Then the US Government simply accuses every intended invasion target of being that monster, to justify more wars of conquest. It's actually moderately clever.

But not clever enough.

Former US Diplomat: US Is Arming Kiev to Force "EU Wimps" into Confrontation with Russia

US arming Ukraine is very likely. When you see a policy discussion report in The New York Times, experience shows the policy is already being conducted covertly and this is just a way to bringing into public view a program that's already been initiated (NATO shell rounds are already detected in Gorlovka, Ukraine).

Nobody in Washington imagines with the best of support Kiev forces will be able to win this militarily.

Arming of Ukraine is primarily directed against Europeans. Since there is more and more dissension in European ranks from the US' confrontational policy the only way to scare the EU wimps back into a more confrontational position is to turn up the heat and the chaos. (Chief of US Army in the Europe is already awarding medals to crippled Ukrainian soldiers).

Trey Gowdy's secret tapes focus on Hillary's Islamic adventure

The recently formed ad hoc House of Representatives committee tasked with investigating the 2012 Benghazi, Libya, terrorist attack on an American consulate plans to listen and study secretly recorded tapes that some claim may answer nagging questions regarding presidential contender and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's role in the 2011 U.S. military intervention in Libya, according to Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-South Carolina, on Tuesday. The U.S. intervention is credited with helping Libyan rebels overthrow the tyrant Muammar Gaddafi.
While the media continues to ignore her "missteps and gaffs," a large number of Americans believe Clinton is a deceitful, power hungry political animal.

Unfortunately, the removal and killing of Gaddafi led to political chaos and Islamic terrorism perpetrated by al-Qaida affiliated terrorists and tribal militias, with the mere semblance of a national government weakened by a lack of public support and resources.

U.S.-Russia Clash in Ukraine?

Among Cold War presidents, from Truman to Bush I, there was an unwritten rule: Do not challenge Moscow in its Central and Eastern Europe sphere of influence.

In crises over Berlin in 1948 and 1961, the Hungarian Revolution in 1956 and the Warsaw Pact invasion of Prague in 1968, U.S. forces in Europe stayed in their barracks.

We saw the Elbe as Moscow’s red line, and they saw it as ours.

While Reagan sent weapons to anti-Communist rebels in Angola, Nicaragua and Afghanistan, to the heroic Poles of Gdansk he sent only mimeograph machines.

That Cold War caution and prudence may be at an end.

The Golden Age of Black Ops – In Fiscal 2015 U.S. Special Forces Have Already Deployed to 105 Nations

During the fiscal year that ended on September 30, 2014, U.S. Special Operations forces (SOF) deployed to 133 countries — roughly 70% of the nations on the planet — according to Lieutenant Colonel Robert Bockholt, a public affairs officer with U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). This capped a three-year span in which the country’s most elite forces were active in more than 150 different countries around the world, conducting missions ranging from kill/capture night raids to training exercises. And this year could be a record-breaker. Only a day before the failed raid that ended Luke Somers life — just 66 days into fiscal 2015 — America’s most elite troops had already set foot in 105 nations, approximately 80% of 2014’s total.

Despite its massive scale and scope, this secret global war across much of the planet is unknown to most Americans…”We want to be everywhere,” said Votel at Geolnt.

Here's Some Frightening Honesty (Courtesy Of The US Congress)

A member of my staff caught an obscure resolution that was introduced in the US House of Representatives last week—Resolution no. 41.

The fact that there was essentially no coverage of this Resolution really shows how the mainstream media is completely turning a blind eye to the true fiscal situation of the United States of America.

The entire point of the resolution is to say that the federal government is broke.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Resolution 41 admits the federal Government is basically broke, and recommends that the federal Government which allowed (even encouraged) the 2008 mortgage-backed securities fraud that emptied state and privater pension funds not be responsible for bailing them out, and that these defunded pension funds "restructure" to reduce costs (meaning cheat the people dependent on those pensions).
