FBI UNCOVERS ANOTHER OF ITS OWN PLOTS, SENATOR FEINSTEIN RESPONDS BY SAYING WE SHOULD CENSOR THE INTERNET

As you may have heard, yesterday the FBI "uncovered" yet another of its own terrorist plots, the latest in a very long line of "terrorist plots" the FBI has "uncovered" -- in which the details always show that it was an undercover FBI "informant" (often doing this to get off leniently for some other issue), who more or less goads hapless, naive people, into a "plot" that had no real chance of ever happening. This appears to be the same sort of thing.

Still, politicians never leave an opportunity like this unexploited, and so in jumps Senator Dianne Feinstein, arguing that the only proper way to deal with this is to, of course... censor the internet:

I am particularly struck that the alleged bombers made use of online bombmaking guides like the Anarchist Cookbook and Inspire Magazine. These documents are not, in my view, protected by the First Amendment and should be removed from the Internet.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This woman is a consistent insult to her constituency, and other than being in lockstep submission to her corporate masters, I am continually bemused that she keeps getting re-elected.

But Pelosi doesn't want to answer the hard question here, and that is: why do people become radicalized and disenchanted with their governments in the first place?!?

And first, let me get this out of the way: I am a Christian pacifist who would never, EVER advocate, or endorse, violence.

American politicians talk a good game, about loving democracy, freedom, and those values expressed in the Constitution and Bill of rights.

But when it comes to propping up tinpot dictators who are to its liking, the US government comes across as one of the most completely morally bankrupt and hypocritical governments in the world.

And when the inevitable disaster strikes, and we have regime change against those puppets, the pols in Sodom on the Potomac are at a complete loss to explain why those individuals overthrew their despots could have possibly been the least bit upset with the quality of government the Americans set up for them.

The late President Kennedy said it best: "when peaceful revolution is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable." It is only a matter of time.

But those in the State Department, the White House, Congress, and the military don't like to talk about that, because it is all about protecting American corporate money, period, end of discussion.

A case in point: the current ruling junta in Thailand. The government of Thailand is a dictatorship, where there are zero freedoms for the Thai people, and no protections for its citizens. But a lot of American interests manufacture there, paying slave-labor wages, which American corporations love.

But of course, neither Nancy Pelosi nor anyone else in Congress want to connect the dots, because corporate wealth must be protected at all costs, and no one in Congress wants to take responsibility when people in places like Bahrain or Yemen want to get rid of their US-imposed leadership, as to why this is going on at all.
