The Very Book The Government Does Not Want You To Read Just Went #1 In The World

By Arjun Walia

Edward Snowden recently released a book titled Permanent Record. The US government is now suing the publisher of the book for not giving the CIA and the NSA a chance to erase classified details from the book.

What is the government really protecting? Are they protecting the well being of the citizenry or are they protecting immoral, unethical, political, corporate and elitist interests?...

NETANYAHU CANCELS UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY APPEARANCE OVER ELECTION RESULTS

There will be no speech by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the UN General Assembly that opens next week, as Tuesday’s inconclusive election results has forced him to cancel plans to fly to New York, address the world body, and meet US President Donald Trump.

Instead, Netanyahu will be in the thick of coalition negotiations. This will be the first time in nine years that he will not address the parley. Foreign Minister Israel Katz will do so instead.

According to the UN schedule, Netanyahu was listed as the 12th speaker on September 26, the third and final day of speeches by world leaders. He was scheduled to come to the podium to speak just three slots after Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Whatever else is happening, Netanyahu can be counted upon to do everything humanly possible to hang on to whatever power he may be able cling to, through creating coalitions, and presenting himself, as the only viable principal who can make things happen; the rest of the world (including a UN he disregards entirely, and for which he has contempt in the extreme)can go hang!!

Ex-Comey Aide Describes How FBI Chief Prepared For Infamous Trump Tower Meeting

In a book to be released Tuesday, a former FBI aide to James Comey describes the lead-up to a briefing where then-President-Elect Donald Trump was first told about allegations in the unverified Steele dossier.

Josh Campbell, who served as special assistant to Comey and is now a CNN analyst, traveled with the then-FBI chief to the Trump Tower meeting, where top intelligence community officials briefed Trump about an assessment of Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election.

But Comey was prepared in advance for another more intimate briefing with Trump regarding the salacious claims made in the Steele dossier, Campbell writes in a preview of his book.

Democratic voters support cutting aid to Israel, so why have only two candidates even mentioned it?

A new report shows that a net majority of Democratic voters support cutting aid to Israel based on the country’s human rights violations. Nonetheless, only two Democratic presidential candidates have floated the idea during this campaign and neither has provided much in way of details.

YouGov Blue conducted a poll for the progressive think tank Data For Progress between August 15th–21st. 1,380 voters were asked a question about reducing U.S. military aid to Israel over its human rights abuses and a broader question about reducing aid to other countries for the same reason. The poll’s accompanying report was authored by Data For Progress Senior Fellow and IfNotNow co-founder Emma Saltzberg.

Only the Coalition of the Foolish Wants a War With Iran

If you want to identify the most reckless powers in our world today, look no further than Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States of America.

byVijay PrashadThe reaction from Iran has been calm. The government in Tehran has decided not to cower beneath the storm clouds from Washington. It threatens Canada with its own sanctions if the Canadians do not release seized Iranian assets. An oil tanker that was carrying diesel to the United Arab Emirates has been seized by the Iranians on the grounds of smuggling. Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani told the Syria Summit in Ankara, Turkey, that there can be no stability in Syria as long as U.S. troops remain there. Iran refuses to blink. It has taken the position that it must stand strong and call the U.S. bluff.

This is a dangerous bluff.

But it is also a calculated one.

This Wasn’t How Trump’s War on Iran Was Supposed to Go

The U.S. thought it was cleverly choking the regime, but now it's clear that 'maximum pressure' goes both ways.
The Saturday attack on Saudi oil facilities, which took 5.7 million barrels of oil per day offline, is the escalation that wasn’t supposed to happen. Now that it has happened, we enter perilous new terrain.
In the meantime, Trump is in a tight spot of his own making, with neither escalation nor retrenchment looking to be attractive options. The president may have outsmarted himself this time.
The whole drama, in a nutshell, is just the old-fashioned hubris of the imperial power, issuing its edicts, and genuinely surprised when it encounters resistance, even though such resistance confirms for the wunderkinds their view of the enemy’s malevolence.

Is Trump trapped? That is the question of the hour.

The New York Times didn’t even correct their story until they were called out on it.

Prozac Maker Paid Millions To Secure Favorable Verdict In Mass Shooting Lawsuit

By Arjun Walia

Everybody should know by now that pharmaceutical companies tend to be extremely unethical, and that they have a very tight stranglehold over government health regulatory agencies like the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food & Drug Administration (FDA).

According to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., pharmaceutical companies have more lobbyists in Washington D.C. than there are congressmen and senators combined. They are even more powerful than big oil and gas, so you can just imagine the power they exercise over politicians and our federal health regulatory agencies...

Obama Ordered FBI & CIA to Spy on Trump

Former Assistant FBI Director Andrew McCabe looks like he is going to be charged for his role in the Trump Russia hoax to try to remove a duly elected President from office. Former CIA Officer Kevin Shipp, who is an expert on counter-intelligence, says McCabe is going roll over on his co-conspirators and talk if the DOJ cuts him a deal. Shipp explains, “Yes, I do think he will talk, absolutely. It’s either that or be imprisoned with Billy Bob for the next 15 or 20 years. The motivation is great for him to talk. . . . This is one of their most outrageous things the Shadow Government and the Deep State has done.

Will the US Use Greece to Block Russia in the Black Sea?

The port of Alexandroupoli is of particular importance to US policy in not only the Balkans, but especially to Russia. It is also an important energy route as the Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria (IGB) pipeline and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) is in the region. The port is also important for transportation as it is strategically located close to the Turkish-controlled Dardanelles that connects the Aegean/Mediterranean Seas with the Black Sea, and therefore Russia.

With the acquisition of this port, NATO and US forces may be in the Balkans in only a few hours and can easily stop Russian trade with the world via the Black Sea by blockading the Dardanelles. With Turkey increasingly defying NATO – in which Greece is also a member state of – by improving relations with Russia and buying the S-400, the US can make Greece more aligned with it under the guise of ensuring Greece’s security.

Trump orders 'substantial increase' in sanctions on Iran

This lover of Israel is raising on a busted flush.

President Trump announced Wednesday that he had ordered a “substantial increase” in sanctions on Iran.

“I have just instructed the Secretary of the Treasury to substantially increase Sanctions on the country of Iran!” he wrote on Twitter.

The move comes after Saturday’s drone strikes on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, which the country said had disrupted about half of the kingdom's oil capacity, or 5% of the daily global oil supply.

US Defense Secretary Mike Esper said on Monday that the US military is preparing a response to the attack on major Saudi Arabia oil facilities, AFP reported.

State Takes Child from Parents, Forces Him to Take Chemo for Treating Cancer With Cannabis

By Jack Burns

Parents of a 4-year-old Florida boy had their child taken away last month because they sought to treat his cancer in a holistic manner. A judge ruled the couple had placed their son in harm’s way after ceasing chemotherapy treatments for his leukemia.

Taylor Bland-Ball and Joshua McAdams had their parental rights taken away from them following the couple’s decision to seek a second opinion out of state. That decision led to the parents giving their son CBD and THC oil along with traditional chemotherapy treatments...

Blunders eroded US military edge in Pacific

The United States Studies Center at the University of Sydney recently issued a report: “Averting Crisis: American Strategy, Military Spending and Collective Defense in the Indo-Pacific.” Averting Disaster would be a better title. The crisis is already here.
Much of the press coverage focuses on the PLA’s ability to launch a sudden, devastating missile strike against vulnerable US bases in the region. But the problems go beyond China’s formidable missile force. Rather, Chinese advances are across the military spectrum: surface ships, fighters and bombers, submarines and anti-submarine warfare, cyber and outer space warfare. Beijing is figuring out how to put it all together – and operating far from Chinese territory.
In simple language: The US could have a hard time in a fight – and might not win. A far cry from years of assumed American superiority over the PLA.

HILLARY CLINTON HAS MORE PEOPLE BETTING SHE'LL BE THE 2020 DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE THAN ANY OF THE ACTUAL CANDIDATES: U.K. BOOKMAKER

More bettors at one British bookmaker are backing Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic Party's 2020 nominee than they are any of the candidates actually running in the race, giving her better odds of winning than Senator Cory Booker and Beto O'Rourke, among others.

Clinton, a former secretary of state and first lady, is not a candidate in the party's primaries and was the Democratic nominee in the 2016 election, which she lost to President Donald Trump. Despite winning the popular vote by almost 3 million, Clinton lost the Electoral College.

At the bookmaker Ladbrokes, Clinton has seen enough backing by bettors to rise to the seventh favorite for the 2020 nomination at 20/1. Booker, a senator of New Jersey, is eighth at 33/1. O'Rourke, a former representative of Texas, is ninth at 50/1.

Christine Blasey Ford’s friend now says she’s skeptical of Kavanaugh accusation

A high school friend of Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford said she’s skeptical of Ford’s accusing the Supreme Court justice of sexually assaulting her during a party in the 1980s.

“I don’t have any confidence in the story,” Leland Keyser told two New York Times reporters in their book, “The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation.”

“Those facts together I don’t recollect, and it just didn’t make any sense,” Keyser told the authors Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly.

The Architect of the Latest Kavanaugh Smear Just Gave a Self-Damning Radio Interview

Following Christine Blasey Ford’s hard-to-believe testimony, which was undercut by all witnesses she placed at the party in question, including a lifelong friend of hers, and following Deborah Ramirez’s hard-to-believe story, which she herself admitted being uncertain about, Pogrebin obviously became subjected to confirmation bias. She had a narrative in mind and she pushed and pulled her writing to fit it.

Pogrebin is at the center of a discussion of gross journalistic malpractice after publishing a story Saturday night with colleague Kate Kelly that failed to mention that a woman who, according to a man named Max Stier, had Kavanaugh’s penis pressed into her hand at a campus party by multiple friends of his has said she recalls no such incident.

Derailed: Democrat Impeachment Hearing Descends Into Full-Blown Circus

The hearing quickly went south after Democrats lobbed insane accusations, loaded questions, and bizarre statements at Lewandowski, prompting the former campaign manager and Republican colleagues to respond in kind.

Lewandowski’s opening statement made it clear his thoughts on the true purpose of Tuesday’s hearing, charging Democrats with prolonging the fake Russia hoax despite special counsel Robert Mueller and the DOJ finding no evidence of collusion or obstruction of justice.

AOC says Lewandowski hearing 'increases the case for impeachment' of Trump

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., told Fox News Tuesday Corey Lewandowski's testimony in front of the House Judiciary Committee Tuesday "increases the case for impeachment" of President Trump.

The president's former campaign manager was the first witness to be called in the Democratic-led impeachment investigation and his nearly five hours of questioning was argumentative, fiery and combative on both sides.

“It is now clear the investigation was populated by many Trump haters who had their own agenda – to try and take down a duly elected president of the United States,” Lewandowski said in his opening statement. “As for actual collusion or conspiracy, there was none. What there has been, however, is harassment of this president from the day he won the election.”

Beijing, Moscow can balance negative impact from US — Chinese experts

In pundits' thinking, the damage Washington had done to the global economy was particularly affecting the United States’ allies.

BEIJING, September 18. /TASS/. China and Russia have been successfully acting as protectors of global security amid the failure of the United States’ foreign policy, particularly in relation to Afghanistan, said Chinese experts interviewed by the Global Times newspaper.

"After the collapse of peace talks between the US and the Taliban, a Taliban delegation met with Russian officials in Moscow, and China is also maintaining communications with relevant forces in Afghanistan. This is proof that China and Russia are all contributing to regional peace, while the US is failing," said Yang Jin, an associate research fellow at the department of East European, Russian and Central Asian Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Questions, Not Answers Surround U.S. Push to War with Iran

Moscow has had its fill of Netanyahu. He’s openly mocking Trump at international forums, first offering to sell the U.S. Russia’s hypersonic missiles at the G-20 and then offering to sell S-400 missile defense systems to the Saudis to protect their people from outside actors.
All with tongue firmly implanted in cheek, but like with all good comedy a core of undeniable truth.
Things look bad for the alliance between the U.S., Israel and Saudi Arabia, when your opponents are laughing at you openly. In that moment Putin exposed that the emperor truly was standing naked in front of the world.

‘My AR is Ready’

Last week, a political party of violence peddling Bolsheviks held a debate involving candidates who wish to be anointed the next American Emperor. One candidate by the name of Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke (known to Real Texans and Real Mexicans as The Fake Mexican) adamantly announced his intentions to confiscate the firearms of peaceful American subjects.

Not surprisingly, this assertion brought a rousing response from those who would object to such a criminal action. One of those objecting was Texas State Rep. Briscoe Cain. His response was equally inflammatory:

“My AR is ready for you, Robert Francis.”
Yes, his “AR is ready.”

1) It’s “ready” to be used to defend himself, his family and his community from criminal, murderous rampages.

Edward Snowden Responds After Trump DOJ Sues Whistleblower Over New Memoir the US Government “Does Not Want You to Read”

The day the book Permanent Record was released, the DOJ filed its lawsuit claiming Snowden had published without submitting the book for “pre-publication review.”

18 Facts on the US National Debt That Are Almost Too Hard to Believe

By Mitchell Nemeth

At around $22.5 trillion, the United States national debt sits at 106 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). There is no disputing that this gigantic debt will someday become due and payable. However, there is hesitation among the political class as to what must be done to pay down and eliminate this debt.

Progressive lawmakers have largely refrained from discussing this liability, preferring to claim that the United States can continue to fund exorbitant government programs. Conservatives have unsuccessfully, on numerous occasions, attempted to limit federal outlays. With each failed attempt, conservatives instead continue to vote for spending increases...

“Near Murder”: Cops Force K-9 to Rip Unarmed Man to Shreds As He Slept

By Matt Agorist

Lakewood, CO — There is no shortage of stories on The Free Thought Project of police K-9 units being used as vicious weapons that inflict grave injury and even death on unarmed and entirely innocent people. Elderly women, children, and other non-violent individuals have all fallen prey to the horrifying use of police K-9 units over the years.
