How the NSA snooped on encrypted Internet traffic for a decade

In a revelation that shows how the National Security Agency was able to systematically spy on many Cisco Systems customers for the better part of a decade, researchers have uncovered an attack that remotely extracts decryption keys from the company's now-decommissioned line of PIX firewalls.

The discovery is significant because the attack code, dubbed BenignCertain, worked on PIX versions Cisco released in 2002 and supported through 2009. Even after Cisco stopped providing PIX bug fixes in July 2009, the company continued offering limited service and support for the product for an additional four years. Unless PIX customers took special precautions, virtually all of them were vulnerable to attacks that surreptitiously eavesdropped on their VPN traffic.

the US Navy’s F-35C is causing significant damage to runways upon landing -- and the Pentagon is touting this as a good thing.

The landing system causes the F-35 to land in precisely the same spot every time, tearing up the runway in short order. Normally, there is some variation in exactly where the landing hook hits, so the wear and tear on the runway is spread out over an area, but not so with the F-35. Apparently, it is the only precision feature of the F-35, and the DOD is spinning this as a positive.

Hillary And The War Party

You haven’t heard much from the Democrats lately about foreign policy or global agendas – indeed virtually nothing at the Philadelphia convention and little worthy of mention along the campaign trail. Hillary Clinton’s many liberal (and sadly, progressive) supporters routinely steer away from anything related to foreign policy, talk, talk, talking instead about the candidate’s “experience”, with obligatory nods toward her enlightened social programs. There is only the ritual demonization of that fearsome dictator, Vladimir Putin, reputedly on the verge of invading some hapless European country.

New Gun Control Idea: Take Guns from Senior Citizens

John Hopkins University’s Shannon Frattaroli sees danger in gun ownership among senior citizens, and pointed out Thursday that California’s Gun Violence Restraining Orders (GVROs) provide a way that families can have guns confiscated from older relatives. Senior citizens have been among the most adamant Second Amendment advocates in recent years, such as the late Otis McDonald (above), who challenged Chicago’s handgun ban at the U.S. Supreme Court — and won. But Frattaroli, who works at the John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, has expressed concern over what an grandparent with a gun might do to him or herself via suicide, or the danger that may befall a grandchild who finds the gun.

The “Wounded Boy In Orange Seat” – Another Staged “White Helmets” Stunt

As the story is told:

Mahmoud Raslan, a photojournalist who captured the image, told the Associated Press that emergency workers and journalists tried to help the child, identified as 5-year-old Omran Daqneesh, along with his parents and his three siblings, who are 1, 6 and 11 years old.”We were passing them from one balcony to the other,” Raslan said, adding: “We sent the younger children immediately to the ambulance, but the 11-year-old girl waited for her mother to be rescued. Her ankle was pinned beneath the rubble.”

An internet search for “Mahmoud Raslan”, the claimed “photojournalist”, finds no other pictures or videos attributed to that name.

There are about 15 men standing around the scene and doing nothing. (Next to a “just bombed” site in a warzone? No fear of a double-tap strike?) At least two more men, besides the videographer, are taking pictures or videos.

Why Rothschild is Shifting From US Dollars to Gold, 'Other Currencies'

Rothschild has called attention to the fact that despite the policy having resulted in the rapid rise of stock markets, this growth cannot last forever as the real sector remains anemic with weak demand and deflation in many developed countries.

Meanwhile, the geopolitical situation is not getting easier: China's economic growth has slowed down, the election atmosphere in the US remains fraught and the conflict in the Middle East continues to rage on. Germany, France and the US have been subjected to terrorist attacks. To complicate matters even further the UK voted to leave the EU.

"In times like these, preservation of capital in real terms continues to be as important an objective as any in the management of your Company's assets," Lord Rothschild emphasizes.

US-Mexico Border Agents Stop 1000s Of Middle-East Immigrants With Forged Papers

U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents working with Mexican immigration officials have found thousands of non-Hispanic illegal immigrants crossing Mexico’s southern border to make their way to Texas. As Breitbart details, the so-called "extra-continental" immigrants enter countries as far south as Brazil and make their way to the United States, often with forged travel documents.

“The reality is that the vast majority of the people that Mexico encounters [on its southern border] that are extra-continental will eventually end up on our border,” a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) official told Reuters this week. The Reuters article confirmed the Syrian nationals reported at the Mexican border with Laredo last year by Breitbart Texas’s Brandon Darby and Ildefonso Ortiz are part of this growing pattern of illegal migration.

Two More Banks Start Charging Select Clients For Holding Cash

Last weekend, when we reported that Germany's Raiffeisenbank Gmund am Tegernsee - a community bank in southern Germany - said it would start charging retail clients a fee of 0.4% on deposits of more than €100,000 we said that "now that a German banks has finally breached the retail depositor NIRP barrier, expect many more banks to follow."

Not even a week later, not one but two large banks have done just that.

Overnight, the Irish Times reported that Bank of Ireland is set to become the first domestic financial institution to pass on the ECB's negative rates to customers for placing their money on deposit with the bank. The newspaper has learned that Bank of Ireland, which is 14% owned by the State, has informed its large corporate and institutional customers that it plans to charge them a negative rate of -0.1% for deposits of €10 million or more starting in October.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF individuals are still allowed to have cash, in the near future, they will have to put it in some other place than banks, and perhaps, if they can, will be putting it into silver and gold.

That is why we are looking at banks' call for a cashless society.

Putin Flies Into Crimea As Ukraine "Prepares For An Invasion"

At the same time that Russia is condicting its latest massive military drill on the border with Ukraine, and one day after the latest stark warning by Ukraine' president Poroshenko that the simmering conflict with Russia may be set to explode again when he said on national TV that “the probability of escalation and conflict remains very significant" adding that "we don’t rule out full-scale Russian invasion", Russian president Putin made a not so subtle point that Crimea will not be relinquished when he flew into contested territory on Friday, one day after staging war games there, and said he hoped Ukraine would see "common sense" when it came to resolving a diplomatic crisis over the peninsula.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Putin is simply calling Poroshenko's bluff, and my sense is that Russia will not at all invade Ukraine; I think their responses will be both asymmetric, and economic, as the Ukrainian economy is on the ropes right now, and it eh slightest of tremors could send its economy crashing.

Lochte apologizes over Rio 'robbery' scandal

Star US swimmer Ryan Lochte apologized to Brazil on Friday for inventing a story that he and three teammates were mugged during the Olympics, as one of them paid $10,800 to avoid charges.

The US gold medal-winning swimmers hoped to draw a line under the scandal that erupted when Lochte went public with a shocking report of how the four were mugged on their way back from a party in Rio de Janeiro.

The claim that a man posing as a police officer held them up at gunpoint early Sunday and forced them to the ground sparked a media frenzy and pushed Brazilian Olympic authorities into an embarrassed apology.

But after police declared the story was fabricated -- saying all that happened was that the swimmers were subdued by security after getting drunk and vandalizing a gas station bathroom -- the now discredited Lochte finally came clean.

Clinton’s State Department Blew $6 Billion In Contracts, And We’re About To Learn Why

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton may soon have to answer questions about an estimated $6 billion in contract mismanagement, fraud and incompetence that happened under her watch at the Department of State.

Non-profit government watchdog Cause of Action Institute (CofA) filed a Freedom of Information Act request Friday for records related to a March 2014 management alert issued by the department’s Inspector General (IG).

“The total value of the contracts the [IG] reviewed exceeded $6 billion,” the CofA’s FOIA request said. “Many of these cases arose during the tenure of Secretary Hillary Clinton.” Clinton was the country’s top diplomat from January 2009 to February 2013.

The IG alert that unveiled the mismanagement was based on three investigations and two contract-related audits.

3-minute video: Hillary’s 2002 Senate speech of KNOWN LIES pimping OBVIOUS illegal War of Aggression on Iraq for OIL (Operation Iraqi Liberation); cackling about it in 2014: Don’t vote for her, demand her arrest

This article will explain, document, and prove that Hillary Clinton pimped an obviously illegal War of Aggression on Iraq in 2002 as US Senator, with lies known to be false as they were told, and is one of the .01% US "leaders" guilty of ongoing War Crimes requiring her arrest.

Israelis Scheming to Replace Aqsa Mosque with ‘Third Temple’: Report

The Palestinian-run International Middle East Media Center (IMEMC) independent news organization carried the report on Monday, citing Israeli television channels.

Israeli Zionists claim they have the right to build a third temple in line with “scriptural prophecies” to follow the tradition of the first and second ones built in ancient times.

Back in June, Israeli Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Uri Ariel said “the first temple was destroyed in 586 BCE, the second temple in 70 CE,” adding that he wished to see a third one built.

The Israeli media, IMEMC reported, alleged that the Israeli bodies favoring the construction of the temple had received “wide political and popular support.”

These organizations explained that they are ready to bring the equipment and tools to start building the temple in the place of both the Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque,” it added, citing Al Ray Palestinian Media Agency

Webmaster's Commentary:

Any attempt to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque will result in utter catastrophe for Israel, and generate a religious war which will engulf the entire region.

But perhaps, that is the design intent of the current Israeli government.

Closing Manus Island’s Detention Centre: Australia’s Search for “Alternative Cruelties”

It all goes back to April, when the Papua New Guinea Supreme Court found the Manus Island detention facility, ostensibly directed and run by the Australian government, in breach of the PNG Constitution.

By the order of the court, “Both the Australian and Papua New Guinea governments shall forthwith take all steps necessary to cease and prevent the continued unconstitutional and illegal detention of the asylum seekers or transferees at the relocation centre on Manus Island and the continued breach of the asylum seekers or transferees constitutional and human rights.”

Unfortunately, Australian officials and law enforcement authorities across various states have shown a certain enthusiasm, even hunger, for youth detention. In the Northern Territory and Queensland, instances of brutality against juveniles in detention centres have been common and publicised of late. The zeitgeist is very much against the child in such instances.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I keep wondering why the government of Australia is not working together with international adoption agencies which could, at least, give some of the children an option for a better life.

I do not at all have any resonance with the concept that illegal immigrant children should be made to "suffer" for the sins of their parents; I really thought Australia was better than this.

IMMIGRANT VETTING IS "AS AMERICAN AS APPLE PIE"

In a speech Monday Donald Trump outlined his proposal for increasing immigrant vetting, which the mainstream media immediately slammed as being “un-American” and “crazy.” But as several notable scholars point out, history and the law are on Mr. Trump’s side, not theirs. For example, as Professor George Borjas of Harvard’s Kennedy School recently quipped “If [they] just do a couple of minutes of googling before reacting, it would become very apparent very quickly that immigrant vetting has a very long tradition in American history.”

Is Hillary Clinton a Compulsive Liar or a Sociopath? (There’s Not Much Difference…)

Ukraine may impose martial law if eastern fighting worsens: Poroshenko

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said on Thursday he did not rule out introducing martial law and a new wave of military mobilisation if the conflict with pro-Russian separatists worsened. Poroshenko made his comments as fresh tension with Russia over Crimea reignited fears that a fragile ceasefire deal hammered out in the Belarussian capital Minsk in February 2015 could collapse following the deadliest month of fighting in a year. “If the situation escalates in the east and in Crimea we don’t rule out the possibilities (that) we will be forced to introduce martial law and announce a (further) mobilisation,” Poroshenko said in a televised speech from the western Lviv region. Poroshenko did not make clear what introduction of martial law might mean, and whether he was talking about martial law in the whole country or only in some parts.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: Poroshenko is expecting a revolt from within Ukraine with which to move him out of power, and thinks martial law will be the tool for preventing that.

US Targeted Killing Rules Conflate Legality and Politics

The Presidential Policy Guidance would sanction targeting a person who poses a "continuing, imminent threat," not just to "U.S. persons," but also to "another country's persons." A 2011 Department of Justice (DOJ) white paper, leaked in 2013, said that a US citizen can be killed even when there is no "clear evidence that a specific attack on U.S. persons and interests will take place in the immediate future." This makes a mockery of the "imminence" requirement. The administration presumably sets an even lower bar for non-citizens.

There must also be "near certainty that an identified HVT [high-value terrorist] or other lawful terrorist target" is present before using lethal force against him. Yet the administration engages in "signature strikes" that don't necessarily target individuals but rather target all males of military age present in an area of suspicious activity. And the Presidential Policy Guidance does not define "high-value terrorist."

Webmaster's Commentary:

This legalistic mishmash has been engineered as "window-dressing" for the hard fact that this process has utterly no true relationship to the Law of this Land, which is very firmly routed in the concept of due process, and is denied all victims of extrajudicial assassinations.

And I have to speculate here; how long will it be before these tortured rationales lead to extrajudicial assassinations right here at home?!?

Unfortunately, were I a betting person, the short answer would be, "Not long!!"

The NSA Built a Secret, Warrantless, Shadow “Social Network” and You’re Already On It

By Matt Agorist

For roughly the last decade and a half, the NSA has been caught in lie after unscrupulous lie. Every time they are caught spying on Americans, the secret agency first denies it — then justifies it. The NSA has now been caught again. And, again, they denied it and are now justifying it.

This time, their unscrupulous spying involves a shadow “social network” that combs data from all social networks and your online data to create a graph of everyone and everyone they know. If you’re wondering where your invite to join this shadow network came from, you never got it. However, you’ve already joined.

NSA even has a website for this network on which they gladly display all the information they collect. It’s called GETPRSM and it’s scary...

The Cold War provided a solid generation of unfettered government growth in the US on the pretext of the Russian threat, and over the past few years American officials have relished at the new round of tensions with Russia, and the budget-busting spending it has permitted.

They’re hoping to make that permanent, with a new bill called the STAND for Ukraine Act aiming to make temporary measures imposed during Ukraine’s regime change permanent, and hamstring all future governments from a diplomatic rapprochement with Russia.

The new push centers in part on the fear that some future president might be less on-board with open-ended hostilities. Current Republican nominee Donald Trump has expressed doubt about the current acrimony, and said if elected he would be open to lifting sanctions on Russia.

Webmaster's Commentary:

WOW! We know there was trouble with lead in the pipes for the House of Representatives this year;

After Lead Contamination In House Office Building’s Water, Lawmakers Demand EPA ReformsBut did lead also lead to the crazy thinking in the Senate, for these people to want to permanently enshrine a state of economic war against Russia?!?

I would like to politely remind our readers, that economic wars frequently devolve into shooting wars.

It is apparent to me that the money junkies are so terrified of a potential Trump presidency, which may herald better relationships with lots of other countries, that they will do anything to prevent any kind of better relations with Russia.

And this "anything" is pretty demonstrably creepy. As reported by Boris Zilberman on May 6th of this year:

Representative Eliot L. Engel (D-NY), Ranking Member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) today announced that they have introduced comprehensive legislation to address the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. An additional bipartisan group of 14 members, including the bipartisan leadership of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, joined Reps. Engel and Kinzinger to introduce the Stability and Democracy (STAND) for Ukraine Act (H.R. 5094), which clarifies the position of the United States on Russia’s illegal occupation of Crimea, tightens sanctions on Russia, and drives new innovations to provide support for Ukraine.”

Russia's alleged "illegal occupation of Crimea... never happened.

And I would politely like to remind Representatives Engel and Kinzinger that lying to the American people, in order to further a "narrative" which may ultimately lead to a shooting war against Russia,as did the Bush Administration's claim against Iraq, that "Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction", will not be tolerated by the American people again, ever.

Here is the actual timeline of Crimea's referendum to leave the Ukraine, which passed unanimously, and its petition to the Russian Federation to become accepted as a member:

Crimea's case for leaving Ukraine

Next, I would like to remind Representatives Engel and Kinzinger that
Victoria Nuland boasted about having undercut the legitimate government of Ukraine when Yanukovich got unceremoniously thrown under the proverbial bus, and Poroshenko was "anointed" the country's President:

American Conquest by Subversion: Victoria Nuland’s Admits Washington Has Spent $5 Billion to “Subvert Ukraine”

And lastly, the "contributions"
of the international financier with an infinite capability for seeing potential money in the blood of mass murder, George Soros:

SOROS ADMITS RESPONSIBILITY FOR COUP AND MASS MURDER IN UKRAINE

Representatives, I am just an ordinary person; but if I can figure this out, so can most thinking Americans, and I would strongly suggest that there are more of them out there than you care to number.

This legislation is a nasty piece of work; please withdraw it from consideration.

And although I do not know, I would strongly suspect that both of you have a lot of investment in the military/industrial complex, and would benefit, financially, from such a war.

Sponsoring this legislation makes it painfully clear that you do not really serve the best interests of the people you allegedly represent, but the interests of those companies which would profit highly from a war against Russia, including the banks which loan money, to all sides, to keep the war going.

Charity Navigator - Bill Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation

Why isn't this organization rated?

We had previously evaluated this organization, but have since determined that this charity's atypical business model can not be accurately captured in our current rating methodology. Our removal of The Clinton Foundation from our site is neither a condemnation nor an endorsement of this charity. We reserve the right to reinstate a rating for The Clinton Foundation as soon as we identify a rating methodology that appropriately captures its business model.

What does it mean that this organization isn’t rated?

It simply means that the organization doesn't meet our criteria. A lack of a rating does not indicate a positive or negative assessment by Charity Navigator.

FBI Evidence Proves Innocence of Accused Boston Marathon Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev

The documents argue that on the basis of the evidence provided by the FBI, there is no basis for the indictment of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The FBI’s evidence clearly concludes that the bomb was in a black knapsack, but the photographs used to establish Dzhokhar’s presence at the marathon show him with a white knapsack. Moreover, the knapsack lacks the heavy bulging appearance that a knapsack containing a bomb would have.

As readers know, I have been suspicious of the Boston Marathon Bombing from the beginning. It seems obvious that both Tsamaev brothers were intended to be killed in the alleged firefight with police, like the alleged perpetrators of the Charlie Hebdo affair in Paris. Convenient deaths in firefights are accepted as indications of guilt and solve the problem of trying innocent patsies.

Actor says he impersonated Russian mercenary in Syria for Sky News report

A Russian actor claims the recent Sky News documentary about undercover Russian mercenaries in Syria was staged. RT spoke a man who claims to have impersonated one of the fighters the British outlet spoke to.
In a recently-aired Sky News investigation the channel claimed it uncovered facts about Russian mercenaries in Syria operating undercover.

One of the key pieces of evidence provided was an interview conducted by Sky News’ Moscow correspondent, John Sparks, who spoke to two males who allegedly comprised part of a secret Russian force, called “Wagner” operating in Syria.

One of them, named Dmitry said that some 500 to 600 people of the unit died while serving in the country. The faces of the men were hidden and voices changed “to protect their identities.”

Following the report, Russian television channel, NTV, aired its own investigation, claiming to have found Dmitry, who apparently turned out to be a Russian actor living in Moscow.

Trump campaign chairman and chief strategist Paul Manafort resigned on Friday, following a staff shake-up this week that reduced his role in the campaign.

GOP nominee Donald Trump confirmed the resignation in a statement: “This morning Paul Manafort offered, and I accepted, his resignation from the campaign. I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today, and in particular his work guiding us through the delegate and convention process. Paul is a true professional and I wish him the greatest success.”

BREAKING: Obama KNEW! Admits He LIED

We knew it all along. Obama denied it, and the media helped him. But now, they’re ADMITTING it!

Yesterday, the Political Insider covered a report from the Wall Street Journal which proved that the $400 million payment to the terrorist Islamic country of Iran in exchange for four American hostages was indisputably a ransom payment.

Obama had denied as much, saying there was nothing “nefarious” or secretive about the deal.

Now, with their backs against the wall, Obama’s State Department admits that they and the president flat-out lied to the American people – It was a ransom.

Slobodan Milosevic: The Killing of an Innocent Man

The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague quietly acknowledged the innocence of former president of Serbia and Yugoslavia Slobodan Milosevic. Ten years after the very suspicious death of the Serbian leader in a Dutch prison, the 1,300th page of the 2,000-page document on the case of Radovan Karadzic, the Bosnian Serb leader, acknowledged that Milosevic had not committed crimes against humanity, nor had he organized any mass killings or deportations of Croats and Bosnians. In other words, it was an innocent man who died in a UN prison. French journalist Dimitri De Koshko was working in Yugoslavia at the time of Milosevic’s arrest. Koshko was closely following the parody of the trial in The Hague. In an interview with Pravda.Ru, Dimitri De Koshko talked about circumstances of the possible murder of the Serbian leader in prison.

Bombshell: Clinton Foundation Witnesses Coming Forward In Pay-For-Play Investigation

Today, New York Times Bestselling author Ed Klein has revealed on The Sean Hannity Show that sources have confirmed to him that not only is The Clinton Foundation under federal investigation, but also at least one Clinton Foundation insider is prepared to testify in a court of law against Hillary.

Reports of legal troubles for the foundation began last week when The Daily Caller reported that a joint FBI-US Attorney probe of The Clinton Foundation is currently underway. The charge is supported by a number of emails recently released by Judicial Watch, which suggest The Clinton Foundation engaged in pay-for-play while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State.

"We are a long way from Hillary Clinton sliding into The White House without having some real serious legal problems before this election," Klein told Hannity.

United Nations Admits to Accidentally Releasing Cholera in Haiti, Killing 10,000 People

By Derrick Broze

Nearly six years after a cholera epidemic killed thousands of Haitians, the United Nations secretary general has confessed that U.N. peacekeepers likely caused the illness to spread. The admission of guilt comes after a report prepared by Philip Alston, a human rights lawyer and U.N. special rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, was leaked to the NY Times...

U.S. Court Upholds United Nations’ Immunity in Cholera Suit

A United States federal appeals panel has upheld that the United Nations cannot be sued in American courts, dealing a setback in a class-action lawsuit brought on behalf of thousands of cholera victims in Haiti.

The ruling by the three-judge panel in New York was released on Thursday, a day after a spokesman for Secretary General Ban Ki-moon acknowledged for the first time that the United Nations played a role in the outbreak, which killed thousands of people.

In the decision for the panel, Judge José A. Cabranes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit wrote that the United Nations did not lose its legal immunity even if it failed to give the plaintiffs a chance to seek a settlement, as required by an international convention.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Haiti's Cholera Outbreak Tied To Nepalese U.N. Peacekeepers

And you can be quite sure that these “significant new set of U.N. actions” will be of cold comfort to those already dead here from this outbreak.

MSF to evacuate staff from Yemen hospitals after Saudi-led air strikes

Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) says it is evacuating its staff from six hospitals in northern Yemen after the deaths of 19 people in a Saudi-led coalition air strike on one of its facilities.

Countless attacks on health facilities in Yemen have endangered patients and staff and displayed a failure by warring parties to control the use of force, the group said.

The Saudi-led coalition expressed deep regret over the decision and said it was trying to set up "urgent meetings" with the medical aid group.

The Saudi-led coalition expressed deep regret over the decision and said it was trying to set up "urgent meetings" with the medical aid group.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"...Deep regret..." on the part of the Saudi Government, MY ASTROLABE!

By bombing these medical facilities, the Saudi government and military got precisely what they wanted; a complete evacuation of the MSF staff, to insure that no Houthi rebels, or civilians who were badly wounded by their strikes, would get care, and would die, horrifically.

But then, Saudi serial genocide against the Yemeni people, enabled by US bombs and "guidance", has been what this war of attrition has been about, hasn't it?!?

To kill enough Houthis, civilians, children, women, and the elderly medically fragile, to insure that enough emotional and physical capitulation would lead
to the reinstatement of the Al Hadi government, which is the sole objective of the American government.

And THAT is to be accomplished, in their minds, by any means necessary.

But I would like to politely suggest to the House of Saud; the Saudi Government; the Saudi Military; and the American Government that this fight to dislodge the Houthis in Yemen has gone on well over a year, and the rebels don't seem to want to surrender any more than they did when they took the country over.

This conflict could well go down in the history books as Saudi Arabia's Vietnam.

Russia Must Counter Threats of NATO Deployment in East Europe - Envoy

Russia must take all measures, including military, to counter threats linked to the deployment of NATO's extra-capabilities in Eastern Europe, Russia’s envoy to NATO Alexander Grushko said Thursday.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said members of the alliance agreed at the July 8 Warsaw Summit to strengthen the military bloc’s presence in Eastern Europe by next year.

The four-battalion rotational presence would include US troops in Poland, British forces in Estonia, German troops in Lithuania and Canadian forces in Latvia.

Scott Adams: Trump Won the Week (Persuasion-wise)

What we saw this week was Trump directly, and skillfully, addressing the public’s concern that he’s scary and temperamentally unfit for the job of president. This week he was less bombastic, more on script (using the prompter), and he said in clear language that he was on the side of all Americans, rejecting bigotry and hatred in all forms.

People needed to hear that.

Words alone aren’t enough to change the public’s impression of Trump. But words are a necessary condition of any change, and he got all the words right this week. If he wants to move the polls, he’ll have to stay on these messages and make sure his actions and off-hand jokes don’t conflict with this new and improved approach.

Man facing years in prison for placing simple off-the-grid cabin on his own property

A California man is facing criminal charges for erecting a small dwelling off the grid on property that he owns.

Soylent CEO Rob Rhinehart purchased the 8,422-square-foot piece of land on Los Angeles' Flat Top Hill in a city auction in December. With no electricity or water hook-ups, it sold for a cheap $21,300. Rhinehart spent a further $1,500 buying a red shipping container to place on the land and adding a portable toilet and solar power. His aim was to create a minimalist home featuring graywater recycling, solar panels, and a septic tank.

Rhinehart offered to move the structure to a different location after complaints from neighbors, but the city had already started to file the charges. He is due in court on September 7 for arraignment. He is facing a $4,000 fine and could even end up spending two years in prison.

Autism, brain and CNS disorders overwhelmingly linked to people in close proximity to pesticide spraying

Expecting mothers residing near the application of organophosphates had a 60 percent higher risk of their baby developing autism. The risk was even higher for babies exposed during the third-trimester, and for second-trimester exposure to chlorpyrifos.

"Organophosphates are a group of chemicals that have many domestic and industrial uses, though they are most commonly used as Insecticides and are responsible for a number of poisonings," according to Toxipedia.

"The main mechanism is blocking the enzyme acetylcholinesterase causing nervous and respiratory damages that result in the insects death, but they are also hazardous to humans. "

Organophosphates are the most commonly used pesticides in the United States, making up 70 percent of pesticide applications.

Why the new Iran revelation looks so bad for the Obama administration

Back in January, Iran released five American prisoners it had been holding. That same day, we have come to find out, the American government sent $400 million in cash to Iran.

It isn't hard to draw conclusions based on the proximity of those two events. And yet, the Obama administration repeatedly sought to separate them from one another — even as Republicans have almost universally accused it of paying a "ransom" for American "hostages."

The administration's task in denying that allegation just became much more difficult.

In response to a report in the Wall Street Journal, the State Department on Thursday acknowledged that the money was used as "leverage" in the prisoner-release negotiations. The money was already due to Iran as part of a settlement over a decades-old failed arms deal — also reached in January — but State Department spokesman John Kirby confirmed it was withheld until the prisoners had left Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It's very clear here: what the Obama Administration told the American people, and the world, about this transfer of money was another lie.

This was precisely a ransom for these prisoners.

Americans know it, the Iranians certainly know it, and the world knows it.

Jon Stewart praises Larry Wilmore on last ‘Nightly Show’: ‘Do not confuse cancellation with failure’

Jon Stewart began his appearance on the last episode of The Nightly Show by telling the departing host, Larry Wilmore, “I just decided to stop by and tell you I love you.”

But that isn’t the only reason he stopped by.

Stewart continued, “And may i say something else? Do not confuse cancellation with failure.”

“What you, my friend, were tasked to do, you have done and done beautifully. You gave voice to under-served voices in the media arena …it was a show that was raw and poignant and funny and smart and all those things. And you did it.”

After acknowledging the talents of The Nightly Show’s correspondents, writers and crew, Stewart continued.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I watched this last episode, and Wilmore, and his team of writers and performers, carried themselves like true champions.

There are many things about which Wilmore and I agreed to disagree; but at the end of the day, he is a brilliant, funny guy with a capacity for stretching some needed conversations about race and gender in this country in some interesting directions.

That being said, his unending hatred of Donald Trump, coupled with his unswerving allegiance to Hillary Clinton,no matter what she has done (like taking contributions for the Clinton Foundation from North African and Middle Eastern countries which chemically castrate, jail, and execute its LGBT members, and still permit the barbaric practice of female genital mutilation) did sour me on the show.

And if I was able to do the due dilligence and make the link, why could Clinton, with her vast informational resources, not be able to make the connection, and know what was going on here, and refuse to take the money the Clinton Foundation took from these countries which still allow these practices, on moral grounds?!?

Not wanting to see that certain facts do, in fact, exist, including the Clintons being part of the Narcocracy Dynasty, unfortunately, does not make those facts go away.

IT’S TIME TO ABOLISH THE DEA AND AMERICA’S “WAR ON DRUGS” GULAG

It’s difficult to pick the most destructive of America’s many senseless, futile and tragically needless wars, but the “War on Drugs” is near the top of the list.Prohibition of mind-altering substances has not just failed–it has failed spectacularly, and generated extremely destructive and counterproductive consequences.

What was the result of the Prohibition of alcohol in the 1920s? Prohibition instantly criminalized 40+% of the adult populace and created hugely profitable criminal organizations.

What was the result of the “War on Drugs”? This modern-day Prohibition instantly criminalized large swaths of the adult populace and created hugely profitable criminal organizations.

If you want to increase drug use, criminalize innocent citizens and spawn gargantuan criminal organizations, then by all means declare “war” via Prohibition. The results of Prohibition/War on Drugs are so visibly perverse and so destructive that the entire enterprise is sickeningly Orwellian.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It's all about the money made from selling the drugs, and laundering the money made by the drug cartels.

This is one of the most important reason to defeat Hillary Clinton this November, as she is part of America's "Narcocracy", and the Bush, Cheney, and and Clinton families are dynastic members of an elite crime syndicate.

And if that comes as kind of a shock to you, please feel free to read the following:
