The Fateful Geological Prize Called Haiti

A US military occupation of Haiti under the guise of earthquake disaster ‘relief’ would give Washington and private business interests tied to it a geopolitical prize of the first order. Prior to the January 12 quake, the US Embassy in Port-au-Prince was the fifth largest US embassy in the world, comparable to its embassies in such geopolitically strategic places as Berlin and Beijing.

Under the breezy cover note “Dan, a generic description of the process,” this “Background Paper on CIA's Use of Interrogation Techniques” is one of the most chilling torture documents excavated to date.

Stand with the President for a Clean-Energy Future

Webmaster's Commentary:

A friend sent me this. Apparently Obama is spamming his dwindling number of supporters to demand thy back his "clean energy policy" i.e. the carbon tax.

Now, I could go off and list all the reasons why a carbon tax is about the tax and not about the carbon or even the environment, but we have already dealt with that previously.

Suffice it to say that President Obama was in charge of the Minerals Management Service, the Federal agency that is supposed to keep and eye on the oil drilling process and failed to do so. The present disaster in the gulf is directly due to Obama's failure as an administrator, which means he is the very last person on Earth we should look to to develop any new energy policy.

U.S. indirectly paying Afghan warlords as part of security contract

The U.S. military is funding a massive protection racket in Afghanistan, indirectly paying tens of millions of dollars to warlords, corrupt public officials and the Taliban to ensure safe passage of its supply convoys throughout the country, according to congressional investigators.

The security arrangements, part of a $2.16 billion transport contract, violate laws on the use of private contractors, as well as Defense Department regulations, and "dramatically undermine" larger U.S. objectives of curtailing corruption and strengthening effective governance in Afghanistan, a report released late Monday said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Emanuel defended Blagojevich, then sought grant

President Barack Obama's chief of staff, then a congressman in Illinois, apparently attempted to trade favors with embattled Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich while he was in office, according to newly disclosed e-mails obtained by The Associated Press.

Obama's chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, agreed to sign a letter to the Chicago Tribune supporting Blagojevich in the face of a scathing editorial by the newspaper that ridiculed the governor for self-promotion. Within hours, Emanuel's own staff asked for a favor of its own: The release of a delayed $2 million grant to a school in his district.

Millions face starvation in west Africa, warn aid agencies

Starving people in drought-stricken west Africa are being forced to eat leaves and collect grain from ant hills, say aid agencies, warning that 10 million people face starvation across the region.

With food prices soaring and malnourished livestock dying, villagers were turning to any sources of food to stay alive, said Charles Bambara, Oxfam officer for the west African region.

"People are eating wild fruit and leaves, and building ant hills just to capture the tiny amount of grain that the ants collect inside.

"The situation here in Chad is desperate. There is not enough food in the country, over 2 million people here are not getting enough," said Bambara.

Open Letter To The British Government Regarding The Gaza Flotilla

Foreign Secretary William Hague and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg
I am quite certain that if members of your family or friends were among the dead on the Mavi Marmara you would go much further than a statement that "deeply deplores the loss of life", you would condemn this action most emphatically for what it is; a cowardly, criminal act of violence against unarmed civilians. Of course, these are not your family or friends, but we all all of us share empathy with victims of such outrageous, immoral acts of criminal violence and have a moral duty to condemn it. This is what the world spoke of in relation to attacks on people of New York and London by violent terrorists. This attack on the Mavi Marmara is in every sense equivalent.

The biggest blow to unions' public support has come from revelations about jaw-dropping compensation and pension benefits. Police have received unwelcome attention for budget-busting overtime and the manipulation of eligibility rules for "disability pensions," which provide higher benefits and tax advantages. Other government employees, particularly managers, have been called out for "pension spiking": using vacation time, sick pay and the like to boost income in the last years of employment, which are the basis for calculating retirement benefits.

Jewish settlers storming the garden of an elderly Palestinian woman may seem like something you would expect to happen in Hebron, not cosmopolitan Tel Aviv. But that is exactly what happened to Zeinab Rachayel, an Arab resident of Tel Aviv’s mixed suburb, Yafo.

Rachayel was in her courtyard on a Sunday afternoon when several buses full of settlers from the West Bank arrived, parking nearby. Armed with Israeli flags, young men lined the sidewalk outside her home chanting “this is our land”. One by one, they entered her garden, until Rachayel was confronted by dozens of settlers in their late teens and early twenties.

Israel Escalating Terror in Turkey?

On the 31st of May early in the morning, almost simultaneous with the Mavi Marmara attack, a navy logistics base in Iskenderun (SE Turkey) was also attacked by the PKK. Unfortunately 7 soldiers were killed in the attack.

This was a very complicated attack and perfect intelligence was needed to attack such a big base. This attack exceeds the capabilities of the PKK. Only specially trained units can execute such an operation.

The timing of such an attack raised many questions about a possible link between the PKK and Israel. Also, it is a widely known fact that the Israeli army has trained Kurdish terrorists since 2003.

The cost to British taxpayers of fighting, diplomacy and reconstruction in Afghanistan and Iraq since the 9/11 attacks has passed £20 billion, official figures reveal.

But the total does not cover expenses like troops' basic salaries or long-term care for the seriously wounded, and the final price is likely to be much higher.

Why they hate America

By Paul Balles

Pakistani writer Mohsin Hamid, tells of a polite Oklahoman who held a copy of his latest novel, “The Reluctant Fundamentalist,” and examined the face on its cover, comparing it to Hamid’s.

The Oklahoman then said to the Muslim writer, nodding once as if to dip the brim of an imaginary hat: “So tell me, sir. Why do they hate us?”

Hamid then goes on to voice the propaganda he’d been fed, attributing it to envy, adding, “The richest, most powerful country in the world attracts the jealousy of others in much the same way that the richest, most powerful man in a small town attracts the jealousy of others.”

Of course, the Washington Post who published Hamid’s article devoured his explanation as if he was serving them and the country a lesson in deserved pride.

Proposed Israeli Law Would Make Supporting Economic or Academic Boycott of Israel a Crime

Twenty-five members of the Knesset have introduced a bill which, if passed, will make it an offence for any organization or citizen to call for an economic or academic boycott of Israel. The bill will affect those who launch, encourage or provide assistance and information on the boycott of Israel, whether they live in Israel or abroad. Anyone violating the law will have to provide compensation to those affected by the boycott. Initiated by the Land of Israel lobby, the bill has been approved by members of different parties, including the Likud and Kadima parties, and the 10 chairs of Knesset commissions.

China's solution for elitists' crimes is execution

China executes securities trader over $9.52m fraud
By Joe Fay 8th December 2009
China takes a very harsh line on criminality, although this is the first execution carried out on an erstwhile member of the financial classes.
China carries out more executions every year than any other country, with either the gun or lethal injection used.
While murder, drug trafficking and the like attract the penalty, the state will also happily execute other classes of criminals, with both corrupt officials and businessmen liable to pay the ultimate price if convicted. Executives involved in the notorious tainted baby milk scandal were handed death sentences earlier this year.

Eight percent of Afghans suffer from drug addiction, a rate twice the global average and a "major" growing problem for the world's leading narcotic producer, a survey warned Monday.

"After three decades of war-related trauma, unlimited availability of cheap narcotics and limited access to treatment have created a major, and growing, addiction problem in Afghanistan," UNODC executive director Antonio Maria Costa said in a press statement.

Former Israeli top spy calls for strike on Iran

Israel should launch a pre-emptive strike to prevent arch-foe Iran from going nuclear, a former head of Israel's Mossad intelligence agency said on Monday.

"I am of the opinion that, since there is an ongoing war, since the threat is permanent, since the intention of the enemy in this case is to annihilate you, the right doctrine is one of pre-emption and not of retaliation," Shabtai Shavit told a conference.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Short memo to former Mossad head Shabtai Shavit: what ongoing war are you talking about?

Iran has not declared war on Israel; as a matter of fact, Iran hasn't declared war on anyone for about 200 years.

That accusation that "...since the intention of the enemy in this case is to annihilate you" is not the real translation from Farsi into Hebrew or English, and you know it.

Israel is gathering its right-wing zealots to make the case for a "good war" against Iran, when such an argument has no basis whatsoever in reality.

The increase of propaganda, coupled with the uptick in well-publicized US and Israeli military movements, may mean that we will see a military confrontation against Iran very soon.

Flotilla Cover-up by the New York Times for Israel

The NY Times has a long history of pro-Israel reporting of events in the Middle East. One notable illustration is their coverage of Israel’s 1967 attack on the USS Liberty that killed and wounded over 200 American sailors. The Times‘ only account of this deliberate, hour-long assault — a brief summary buried on page 19 of the paper.

The question is who within the New York Times ordered the most recent journalistic stonewalling and kowtowing to Israeli interests. Might it be publisher/owner Arthur Sulzberger, Jr.? Borrowers exit troubled Obama mortgage program

More than a third of the 1.24 million borrowers who have enrolled in the $75 billion mortgage modification program have dropped out. That exceeds the number of people who have managed to have their loan payments reduced to help them keep their homes.

Last month alone,155,000 borrowers left the program -- bringing the total to 436,000 who have dropped out since it began in March 2009.

Administration officials say the housing market is significantly better than when President Barack Obama entered office. They say those who were rejected from the program will get help in other ways.

But analysts expect the majority will still wind up in foreclosure and that could slow the broader economic recovery.

Proposal to water down climate bill would favor Obama aides’ former employer

Rahm Emanuel, chief of staff to President Barack Obama, said in little-noticed remarks Friday that his administration will consider a climate change bill that only includes carbon caps on electric utilities.

Look who is claiming to be the "Master Race!"

Webmaster's Commentary:

As late as WW2, there were studies which "proved" that black people had a lower IQ than white people. One such study was used in an unsuccessful attempt by Congress to prevent the Tuskegee Airmen from being allowed to fly.

In Germany, there were numerous studies proving that the Jews were inferior. Much o that work was based on the American Eugenics movement of the 1930s.

In later years it was shown that these studies did not measure the attributes of the studied subjects so much as the biases of those conducting the studies. And having been on the downside of such flaws research in the 1930s I find it amazing that present-day Israel promotes such nonsense.

If there was one thing I learned in MENSA it is that high IQs know no race, gender, or religion. There are brilliant people and total idiots across all boundaries.

Meier estimated that this tornado was as strong as an EF-2 on the Enhanced Fujita scale, with winds estimated at more than 100 mph."

DAY OF INFAMY - TREASON AND DISLOYALTY BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT (UPDATE)

Israel attacked foreign flagged ships in international waters (the very activity the 6th fleet is killing Somali coastal patrol crews for), hijacked a US-flagged ship, and kidnapped 12 Americans, shooting one of them in the head 4 times.

A real President, who remembers that his job is to take care of America and Americans, would not rush to the UN to protect the nation that just attacked Americans.

A real Congress, who remembers that their job is to take care of America and Americans, would not hand Israel a license to murder more Americans anywhere in the world Israel decides they are an inconvenience!

No government can serve two masters, and a government that serves Israel cannot serve the American people.

A friend to Israel is no friend of America.

Gulf Oil Catastrophe - Epic Lies And Deceit

Gulf Oil Catastrophe - Epic Lies And Deceit
©By Dr. Ilya Sandra Perlingieri

I write this as a catastrophe survivor. I write this knowing that with every US catastrophe, there is not one single person in charge, in ANY capacity, who will tell us the truth, who will step up to the plate, be honest, look out for our well being and safety...."We, the people" do not figure into this. What does figure into this are greed, lies, and massive deceit. A corporation's bottom line (be it Big Pharma, chemical companies, or the banksters who are looting everything we have) is profit --at all costs. We are all expendable for their bottom line. Our well being or our safety are not part of this equation.

Who Says We Can’t Criticize Israel?

Like a postage stamp that has been licked too often, a word can lose its power and authority if it is used indiscriminately.

So it is with the word “terrorist” that is now routinely applied by governments all over the world to demonize and marginalize political opposition. And likewise with the word “anti-semitic” which is a label stuck on just about anyone who is not in total support of the state of Israel and its treatment of the Palestinians.

Indeed, Jimmy Carter, former President of the United States, was given precisely that label after calling Israel an “apartheid state”.

Iran out, but Russia eyes Turkey for S-300

Russia's arms export chief says Moscow hopes to sell Turkey the powerful S-300 air-defense missile system -- and possibly the more advanced S-400 -- after blocking delivery of the weapon to Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And after Israel gunned down a bunch of the Turks in international waters, I would not rule out a re-sale by Turkey to Iran!

Biblical Artifacts Declared Fakes: Arrests in Israel for Forgery

Other spectacular artifacts now revealed as forgeries include:

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel's paid shills are spamming the net with claims that Israel has a right to Palestine because the archaeological evidence proves the Israelite were there first.

There are three things wrong with that.

The present day Ashkenazi are not the descendants of the Biblical Hebrews but of converted Khazars, and one need only look at their Caucasian skin to see they are not from middle eastern people.

Second, the archaeological evidence shows the Hittites predate the Israelites and Palestinians, but nobody seems eager to let them come back home.

Finally, the archaeological treasures held up to bolster Israel's claim that the Old Testament is real history and not just legends and myths have all been revealed as frauds!

One need only stroll around Egypt, or pre-invasion Iraq, or Iran, or Turkey, or any other nation with an ancient heritage to see the vast numbers of ruins. In seeing the abundance of these ruins ( an ancient Egyptian temple was recently discovered while digging for a sewer line) it becomes clear that cities on the scale such as we are told the Kingdoms of David and Solomon were simply do not vanish without a trace.

The fact is that archaeology does not support the Old Testament version of history. Indeed the available archaeological evidence tells us that the story of the Exodus did not happen to the Hebrews but to the Hyksos!

But keep in mind that the idea of copyright and intellectual property did not exist in biblical times. The physical scroll was the item of value, and authors copied ideas from other works all the time to make their points, such as Moses copying the story of the Noah flood from the much earlier Epic of Gilgamesh!

It therefore seems likely that the stories of David and Solomon, in the absence of ruins such as we see in Egypt, were as much copies of other peoples' history as the story of the Hyksos and of Noah!

Plundering the Planet

As American and Israeli war ships are reported to be heading towards Iran (embargoed by the US since 1979) notable is that it does not alone have a vast oil potential, but: "natural gas, coal, chromium, copper .."

Next door, Iraq's vast oil wealth, with its fake "tenders" was carved up long before the invasion to "liberate" the country from a "tyrant" - and impose more compliant despots. The country also has a wealth of : "natural gas, phosphates, sulfur" - and vast deposits of uranium, known to America's ally, Britain, who prospected for it there in the 1950's.

Mystery submarine four miles off South Florida beach; flees after chased by boaters

Danoff moved closer. “It took off,” he said. Very fast, about 20 knots. The periscope sank beneath the waves, and whatever was below the surface blew its ballast, sending aloft a mighty hiccup of bubbles. After five minutes the sea lay once again undisturbed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A sub makes perfect sense in the gulf, since the boundary between oil plumes and water shows up clearly on sonar (during WW2, dumping a cloud of oil into the water was a common sub trick to evade surface sonar). So I am going to presume that the sub is there to map the extent of the oil spillage and since they are keeping the results secret, the results are not good.

FLASHBACK - Twitterers paid to spread Israeli propaganda Internet warfare team unveiled

The passionate support for Israel expressed on talkback sections of websites, internet chat forums, blogs, Twitters and Facebook may not be all that it seems.

Israel’s foreign ministry is reported to be establishing a special undercover team of paid workers whose job it will be to surf the internet 24 hours a day spreading positive news about Israel.

Internet-savvy Israeli youngsters, mainly recent graduates and demobilised soldiers with language skills, are being recruited to pose as ordinary surfers while they provide the government’s line on the Middle East conflict.

Iranian aid flotilla postponed

The Iranian Red Crescent organization has decided to postpone the departure of its aid vessel to the Gaza Strip, a senior organization official said Monday.

"The Iranian ship is humanitarian and is not carrying any weapons. Therefore, any aggression will be in violation of international law at sea," Jafarian was quoted as saying by the ISNA news agency.

The first Iranian ship, organized by a non-governmental organization called "the Iranian company for the protection of the Palestinian nation" has already set sail. It is unclear whether it will wait for the second vessel or continue towards the Suez Canal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If this first Iranian ship is sunk or captured and anyone dies due to the Israeli boarding of this humanitarian aid-carrying, unarmed ship, and if Israel uses this as their justification to start a military confrontation against Iran, Iran has the moral high ground here.

Barak off to US for Iran talks

"Barak will meet with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen, as well as with senior lawmakers on Capitol Hill. He will also travel to New York for talks with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, which will mostly focus on the recent flotilla incident as well as Israeli policy vis-a-vis the Gaza Strip."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Note that last Saturday was the day 11 US warships, accompanied by one Israeli vessel, transited the the Suez Canal on the way to the Persian Gulf.

These meetings with top US government and military officials, which got remarkably little US coverage, cannot possibly be construed as accidental.

Saudi King to Visit Obama Before Netanyahu

Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah will visit U.S. President Barack Obama on June 29, setting the stage for the July 6th visit of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to the White House.

White House officials said President Barack Obama "looks forward to discussing with King Abdullah the strengthening of bilateral ties between the two countries, as well as a range of common concerns related to Gulf security, peace in the Middle East, and other regional and global matters."

The United States considers the Saudi kingdom as the key for a regional Middle East peace as well as a key ally in any future military action against Iran, whose nuclear ambitions threaten the Arab world as well as Israel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

King Abdullah's visit, earlier than that of Netanyahu, has most probably been orchestrated by the Israeli government, in light of the fact that the US and Israel will need Saudi Arabia's complete cooperation for the impending US/Israeli strike against Iran.

And as to the false assertion "...the 9/11 terrorist attacks that have been widely linked to terrorists from Saudi Arabia.",

as reported at:

http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/hijackers.html

"At Least 7 of the 9/11Hijackers are Still Alive"

"Because the IDs used by the hijackers were phony, we cannot know who they really were or who they really worked for. But what is apparent is that those who planned the hijackings and the 9/11 attacks went out of their way to leave plenty of clues pointing to citizens of middle eastern Arab nations."

Cover-up? Oil reported in Florida bay, “You can’t tell me that isn’t oil”; Officials deny BP link

An oily substance has come ashore just off of Ward Basin Road in the Blackwater Bay.

The property owner, Jim Melvin said he noticed the oil like substance and what looked to be sheen at around 10:30 Friday morning.

“It looks like tidal foam mixed with oil,” Melvin said. “It was just an awful mess.”

Melvin said a county worker had come by to collect samples of the look-a-like oil soon after he saw a glimpse of it and reported it.

Lieberman: China Can Shut Down The Internet, Why Can’t We?

Senator Joe Lieberman, co-author of a bill that would give President Obama a ‘kill switch’ to shut down parts of the Internet, attempted to reassure CNN viewers yesterday that concerns about the government regulating free speech on the web were overblown, but he only stoked more alarm by citing China, a country that censors all online dissent against the state, as the model to which American should compare itself.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unflipping believable, but perfectly predictable, understanding Lieberman's agenda.

US Supreme Court lifts ban on sale of GM crop

The Supreme Court lifted Monday a four-year ban on the sale in the United States of genetically modified alfalfa, which farmers fear contaminates others crops.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As reported on 10 January 2006 at:

http://www.organicconsumers.org/ge/africa011006.cfm

"Ten years after the first significant planting of Genetically Modified (GM) crops there are no apparent benefits for consumers, farmers or the environment, and despite renewed promises by biotech corporations, there has been no impact on hunger and poverty, according to a report by the African Center for Biosafety and Friends of the Earth International. [1]

The 100-page report "Who benefits from GM crops? Monsanto and its corporate driven genetically modified crop revolution" concludes that the increase in GM crops in a limited number of countries has largely been the result of the aggressive strategies of the biotech industry, rather than the consequence of benefits derived from using GM technology.

"Contrary to the promises made by the biotech industry, the reality of the last ten years shows that the safety of GM crops cannot be ensured and that these crops are neither cheaper nor of better quality. Biotech crops are not a solution to the hunger question in Africa or elsewhere," said Nnimmo Bassey of Friends of the Earth Nigeria."

Also, as reported just today, 21 June 2010 at:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1082559/The-GM-genocide-Thousands-Indian-farmers-committing-suicide-using-genetically-modified-crops.html

"Shankara, like millions of other Indian farmers, had been promised previously unheard of harvests and income if he switched from farming with traditional seeds to planting GM seeds instead.

Beguiled by the promise of future riches, he borrowed money in order to buy the GM seeds. But when the harvests failed, he was left with spiralling debts - and no income.

So Shankara became one of an estimated 125,000 farmers to take their own life as a result of the ruthless drive to use India as a testing ground for genetically modified crops.

The crisis, branded the 'GM Genocide' by campaigners, was highlighted recently when Prince Charles claimed that the issue of GM had become a 'global moral question' - and the time had come to end its unstoppable march."

The Supreme Court has just "third-worlded" America's food supply, and this may have devastating consequences on its ability to feed itself, let alone to provide any food exports.

Iran bans 2 IAEA inspectors from entering Iran

IAEA experts in May revisited the site - the Jaber Ibn Hayan Multipurpose Research Laboratory in Tehran - only to find out that the electrochemical cell had been "removed" from the unit used in the experiments, according to the report.

Iran said it did not remove any equipment from the laboratory and that the experiment was not related to pyroprocessing, a procedure that can be used to purify uranium metal used in nuclear warheads.

The U.N. Security Council slapped a forth set of sanctions on Iran earlier this month over its nuclear program. The move followed Iran's refusal to halt uranium enrichment, a process which can be used for the production of fuel for power plants as well as material for warheads if enriched to a higher level.

Webmaster's Commentary:

At this point, who can blame Iran for its hostility toward the IAEA, after having played by the rules, only to get slapped with another round of sanctions?!?

Notice the the use of language in this article:

"Iran said it did not remove any equipment from the laboratory and that the experiment was not related to pyroprocessing, a procedure that can be used to purify uranium metal used in nuclear warheads."

The article didn't say that Iran did use pyroprocessing to purify uranium metal used in nuclear arms; it simply made the suggestion that it was possible.

BP Chief Sold Stocks Shortly Before Oil Rig Explosion, Goldman Sachs Sold Shares

Weeks before the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion killed 11 and sent anywhere from 23 to 49 million gallons of oil gushing into the Gulf of Mexico, BP chief Tony Hayward sold about a third of his stocks, saving him 423,000 pounds according to Britain’s the Daily Telegraph, or $613,096 US dollars.

After doing so, Hayward paid off the mortgage on his mansion valued at $1,739,280. His total package was valued at $5,797,600.

According to the Daily Telegraph, “There is no suggestion that he acted improperly or had prior knowledge that the company was to face the biggest setback in its history.” Hayward disposed of his stocks on March 17, and BP stock has fallen by 30 percent since then.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is impossible to believe that Hayward had no foreknowledge of the problems on the Deepwater Horizon rig.
