New U.S Foreign Policy Is An “Obama”nation

More occupation (i.e Somalia) More troops (i.e Afghanstian,Iraq).More oligarchy.More of the same.

The war on terror,as of this morning, has just expanded into new territory – one that goes beyond the scope of the previous administration, causing many to question what change the Obama administration has truly brought to the table in terms of foreign policy. Not only is the United States losing control and support for the other two wars we are currently involved in (i.e Afghanistan,Iraq) but now the current administration has given the green light to expand the front to include the small nation of Somalia, according to the Associated Press

Russia Warns Georgia Away From Abkhaz Coast

In the wake of weeks of naval blockades by neighboring Georgia, the Republic of Abkhazia announced today that it has signed a military defense pact with Russia, one which Russia says will be aimed at preventing Georgia from attempting to occupy the separatist enclave.

Following the pact, the Russian Coast Guard has warned that it will not allow the naval blockade to continue, and says it will detain any Georgian military ships which attempt to enter Abkhaz waters.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This war of words could escalate into a war of actual combat in a heartbeat; all it will take is one incident to trigger something ugly.

US to Pump Thousands of ‘Combat Enablers’ Into Afghanistan

Top US defense officials say that roughly 3,000 additional troops, which are classified not as combat troops but rather “combat enablers,” will be deployed to Afghanistan in the coming days.

Rather, it now seems that the non-combat troops are being replaced by the combat troops, and then new non-combat troops are being added as well, effectively an escalation of the number of troops involved in the conflict under the guise of adding “non-combat” troops. This escalation comes in addition to the expected request of another 20,000 troops from Gen. McChrystal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Combat Enablers"?!?!? Have these people lost their minds completely?!?

Paul Craig Roberts: Why Propaganda Trumps Truth

Naive people think that if the US government’s explanation of 9/11 was wrong, physicists and engineers would all speak up. Some have (see above). However, for most physicists and engineers this would be an act of suicide. Physicists owe their careers to government grants, and their departments are critically dependent on government funding. A physicist who speaks up essentially ends his university career. If he is a tenured professor, to appease Washington the university would buy out his tenure as BYU did in the case of the outspoken Steven Jones.

An engineering firm that spoke out would never again be awarded a government contract. In addition, its patriotic, flag-waving customers would regard the firm as a terrorist apologist and cease to do business with it.

US Sending 1,000 More Troops to Iraq

Though the Iraq War has long since become an after-thought amid Obama Administration claims that the “drawdown” in on track, the Pentagon is reporting today that Secretary of Defense Robert Gates has approved a request to send about 1,000 additional troops to Iraq.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is painfully apparent that the Pentagon cannot distinguish between a "drawdown" and a "buildup" of forces in Iraq.

Obama Urged to Ready Tougher Iran Sanctions, Military Strike

The U.S. should begin preparing crippling sanctions on Iran and publicly make clear that a military strike is possible should the Iranian government press ahead with its nuclear effort, a bipartisan policy group said.

“If biting sanctions do not persuade the Islamic Republic to demonstrate sincerity in negotiations and give up its enrichment activities, the White House will have to begin serious consideration of the option of a U.S.-led military strike against Iranian nuclear facilities,” said the study from the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder if any of these people have close family serving in any branches of the US military. I'd almost be willing to bet a nearly worthless US dollar they don't.

One also has to wonder if they have chosen to disbelieve Russia and China's warning that an attack on Iran will cause the next global war.

And yet, there they go again, hog-wild in anticipation of "neutralizing" yet another of Israel's existential threats in the region.

And for Israel, any neighboring Arab country is an existential threat; even those countries with which it has signed peace treaties.

Elderly Torontonian furious over violent arrest by police who thought he was suicidal

[...] two Toronto police officers - answering the same 911 call, but arriving later - suddenly appeared, and, he said, "the whole mood changed."

Both were decades younger and heavier - Mr. McArthur is a trim 165 pounds - and they were brooking no discussion, no argument. They simply announced they were taking him into custody and to hospital under the Mental Health Act.

"Wait a minute," Mr. McArthur said he sputtered. "I'm not sick, I'm not suicidal, I'm not going into custody."

They grabbed him, spun him around, and with one officer shoving a hand hard on the back of his neck, forced him face first onto his bed.

"I'm resisting," Mr. McArthur said bluntly. "I'm saying 'Please don't do this.' I'm flailing around."

Missile kills 4 in Pakistan; 18 die in stampede

Pakistan is about to be destabilized to the point of a completely non-functioning state by the US; that must be the desired outcome here.

And when you see that, coupled with a military confrontation between Georgia and Russia, this is most likely the time that you will see a US/Israeli attack on Iran, as Russia will not be able to supply Iran by land.

India denies firing by Chinese troops across LAC

Recent incursions by Chinese troops into Indian territory have created anxiety about China's aggressive designs in some quarters in India.

The Indian government has, however, sought to play down the incursions, saying these are routine incidents that occur due to differences in perception about the Line of Actual Control.

Webmaster's Commentary:

India may well have every real reason to be concerned by these recent incursions.

Consequent to the reports about Chinese troops trespassing into the Indian territory, Bimal Gurung, chief of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) asserted that his party would form a special force to remain alert along the India-China border to keep away any kind of foreign intrusion.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Neither India nor China needs a border war here. One has to wonder just what is happening with this incident.

Fighting rages across Afghanistan as U.S. military buildup continues

Attacks by anti-occupation forces spread across Afghanistan over the weekend, with major armed clashes, bombings and other incidents in at least 10 provinces, including eight that are outside the southern region where the U.S. and NATO forces have launched a major military offensive.

Rather than directly confront the greatly increased U.S. ground forces in provinces like Helmand, the Taliban and other resistance forces are employing typical guerrillas tactics, striking at “soft” targets well away from the main combat zone, in many cases in areas where there has been relatively little insurgent activity.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, 8 years on, this is what "victory" in Afghanistan looks like?!?

The only way this can look like "victory" if the desired outcome had to do with the complete and chronic destabilization of the country.

If that is not the case, the US and NATO have absolutely no strategy whatsoever in Afghanistan, period, end of discussion.

Ann Curry In Iran To Interview Ahmadinejad

Curry's interview will air Thursday on "Today" and "NBC Nightly News" and Friday morning on "Today."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Get ready for a hatchet job of an interview, very much along the lines of "when did you stop beating your wife?!?"

The timing, and the rebroadcasting of this interview, is a propaganda move, most probably engineered by the producers at NBC, to make Ahmadinejad appear to be worse than the devil himself.

It appears that NBC is hoping that such an interview can assist shaping US public opinion toward favoring a US/Israeli-led attack on Iran. And remember: any good television editor can take an interview like this, and turn it any which way they please, with some judicious cutting.

Whistleblower: Baucus health bill an ‘absolute gift’ to insurers

The health care reform plan proposed by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus is an “absolute gift” to health care insurance companies, says an industry whistleblower.

Wendell Potter, a former executive at Cigna, said the Baucus plan “would not provide affordable coverage … gives the industry too much latitude to charge higher premiums based on age and geographic location, fails to mandate employer coverage, and pushes consumers into plans with limited benefits,” Politico reports.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As reported here on 16 June, 2009:

"Montana Senator Max Baucus, the chair of the Senate Finance Committee, is the Senate’s point man on healthcare reform. A new article in the Montana Standard finds that Senator Baucus has received more campaign money from health and insurance industry interests than any other member of Congress. The article says, “In the past six years, nearly one-fourth of every dime raised by Baucus and his political-action committee has come from groups and individuals associated with drug companies, insurers, hospitals, medical-supply firms, health-service companies and other health professionals.”"

Baucus is simply another extremely overt "corpritute" who takes money from those insurance interests which supports him, and delivers the goods in terms of legislation which benefits his supporters, but absolutely does not benefit We the People.

US troops kill Fallujah ’shoe-thrower’

Residents told an AFP reporter in Fallujah that Ahmed Latif, 32, whom they said was mentally disturbed, insulted the soldiers as they patrolled in the centre of the city, and then hurled a shoe at them.

“Positive identification of the attacker was made, and US forces fired in self-defence wounding the attacker,” the army said in a statement.

The incident came a day after Iraqi journalist Muntazer al-Zaidi was freed after spending nine months in jail for throwing his shoes at former US president George W. Bush during a visit to Baghdad.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Truth About the Health Care Bills

This is not about health care; it is about seizing power and limiting rights. Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to “be bound by oath or affirmation” to support the Constitution. If I was a member of Congress I would not be able to vote for this legislation or anything like it without feeling I was violating that sacred oath or affirmation. If I voted for it anyway I would hope the American people would hold me accountable.

Health-Care Reform and the Constitution

Last week, I asked South Carolina Congressman James Clyburn, the third-ranking Democrat in the House of Representatives, where in the Constitution it authorizes the federal government to regulate the delivery of health care. He replied: "There's nothing in the Constitution that says that the federal government has anything to do with most of the stuff we do." Then he shot back: "How about [you] show me where in the Constitution it prohibits the federal government from doing this?"

Rep. Clyburn, like many of his colleagues, seems to have conveniently forgotten that the federal government has only specific enumerated powers. He also seems to have overlooked the Ninth and 10th Amendments, which limit Congress's powers only to those granted in the Constitution.

Mix-up on John Demjanjuk? 2nd JD lived in same home town, died in the 60s

After the revelations on the forgery on the alleged SS-ID-card of John Demjanjuk here another new indication, that the trial against John Demjanjuk could turn out as the biggest judicial scandal of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Webmaster's Commentary:

Short version, there were two men named Ivan Demjanjuk living in the same village in 1942. Both left for the war. One left for America, the other returned to the village and committed suicide, according to one report when he learned KGB were trying to arrest him as a Nazi collaborator. It is this suicide victim who is thought by many to have been the death camp guard. Israel had the wrong man in 1988 and Germany has the wrong man today. But in the minds of the Nazi hunters, accusation of complicity in the Holocaust is such a serious charge that even innocence must never be allowed as a defense.

Blackwater soldiers, often with Navy SEAL or Army Special Operations backgrounds, are paid from $500 to $1,500 a day, far more than regular-duty troops. Poll suggests 29 per cent of Canadians believe 9-11 myth, more than U.S.

In the Canadian Press Harris-Decima survey, conducted this summer in the United States and Canada, 29 per cent of Canadian respondents said they believed some of the hijackers accessed the U.S. through Canada eight years ago.

Only 19 per cent of American respondents agreed.

The data flies in the face of conventional wisdom among many Canadians that the 9-11 myth prevails because of ignorance on behalf of their U.S. neighbours.

Good Billions After Bad

Webmaster's Commentary:

Once the money left the building, the government lost all track of it. The Treasury Department knew where it had sent the money, but nothing about what was done with it. Did the money aid the recovery? Was it spent for the purposes Congress intended? Did it save banks from collapse? Paulson’s Treasury Department had no idea, and didn’t seem to care. It never required the banks to explain what they did with this unprecedented infusion of capital.

The intention of Congress when it passed the bailout bill could not have been more clear. The purpose was to buy up defective mortgage-backed securities and other “toxic assets” through the Troubled Asset Relief Program, better known as tarp. But the bill was in fact broad enough to give the Treasury secretary the authority to do whatever he deemed necessary to deal with the financial crisis. If tarp had been a credit card, it would have been called Carte Blanche. That authority was all Paulson needed to switch gears, within a matter of days, and change the entire thrust of the program from buying bad assets to buying stock in banks.

The chair of the Joint Chiefs testified to Congress today that “success” in Afghanistan requires more US troops and “certainly much more time.” Senator McCain Orwell-spoke that each day we wait to send more US troops to Afghanistan to put their lives in danger, “puts lives in danger.” President Obama defended the strategy of war to produce peace and happiness by saying, "You never step into the same river twice. And so Afghanistan is not Vietnam." I think the president is absolutely correct with my observations about stepping into the same river for a second time: the experience is not quite the same, only about 99%. Polling data also show American support for this war is at its lowest: 58% disapprove and 39% approve.

Why Propaganda Trumps Truth

The physicist, Steven Jones, has produced overwhelming evidence that explosives were used to bring down the buildings. His evidence is not engaged, examined, tested, and refuted. It is simply ignored.
Dr. Jones’ experience reminds me of that of my Oxford professor, the distinguished physical chemist and philosopher, Michael Polanyi. Polanyi was one of the 20th centuries great scientists....
As a young man in the early years of the 20th century, Michael Polanyi discovered the explanation for chemical absorption. Scientific authority found the new theory too much of a challenge to existing beliefs and dismissed it... One half-century later his discovery was re-discovered by scientists at UC, Berkeley...

Is Black Racism Possible?

The State of Racism: Part 1 - Is Black Racism Possible?
Guy White - 3/9/2008
Accusations of white racism are rampant, with the topic of race turning immediately to the alleged hate deep in the heart of every white person. In fact, any “dialogue” on race is nothing more than a vicious black attack on whites who cannot defend themselves and usually respond with a payment to black organizations and neighborhoods from the government and corporations. But what about black racism? Is it even possible? If so, does it exist? And if it exists, is it more or less virulent than white racism?"Black racism is possible. Racism is an ideology and anyone, including blacks, can embrace it."

Coming soon to USA

The music business is also a source of income for the government(s) of EU, because the business is heavily taxed.
And so both parties are fanatically trying to stop the downloading.
This law will be forced down the throats of all Europeans in the coming months, especially after the Lisbon treaty kicks in.
The Swedish piracy trial with the biased judge judging the other biased judge is a good example of their relentless efforts: http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20090525/1542304998.shtml
These laws can and will be abused to cut off *terrorist bloggers*
What happens in Europe will soon come to USA and vice versa.

US lists China, Russia as its main challengers

The United States on Tuesday put emerging superpower China and former Cold War foe Russia alongside Iran and North Korea on a list of the four main nations challenging American interests.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"If at first you don't succeed ... find someone to blame!" -- Official White Horse Souse

"Former cold war foe?" That was the USSR and they do not exist any more. That is like describing present day Germany as our former Nazi foe in WW2. Nazi Germany is GONE. So is the USSR. The US is about to follow along and the government is thrashing about for an enemy they can blame it on.

The UN Fact-Finding Mission led by Justice Richard Goldstone on Tuesday released its long-awaited report on the Gaza conflict, in which it concluded there is evidence indicating serious violations of international human rights and humanitarian law were committed by Israel during the Gaza conflict, and that Israel committed actions amounting to war crimes, and possibly crimes against humanity.

ARM American Resistance Movement on G20 Summit Sept. 24-27

I just want to add to this video one important thing. I don't think we need to wear a mask or any face cover to speak out against the government. This will only make us associated with the dark forces. This will give more excuse for the government to declare the freedom movement a terrorist organization to bring on physical force on us.

Remarks of Senator Russ Feingold Introducing a Resolution to Censure President George W. Bush

The President’s wrongdoing demands a response. And not just a response that prevents wrongdoing in the future, but a response that passes judgment on what has happened. We in the Congress bear the responsibility to check a President who has violated the law, who continues to violate the law, and who has not been held accountable for his actions.

Congressman Suggests People Will Don 'White Hoods' If Wilson Not Rebuked

In an obvious reference to the Ku Klux Klan, Rep. The Kelly mysteries

There are plenty of questions surrounding the death of Christopher Kelly, the one-time confidante of Rod Blagojevich who was headed off to prison soon.

Questions about what drugs Kelly took. Questions about the "mystery man" with gray hair who tried to pick up Kelly's Cadillac SUV from the hospital. Questions about whether the pressure to cooperate with federal authorities or the prospect of a long stretch in prison, drove him to suicide. Questions about how his death will impact the prosecution of Blagojevich.

There's something else that deserves real scrutiny: What kind of medical care did Kelly get at Oak Forest Hospital and Stroger Hospital?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Was it really a suicide, or had Kelly agreed to cooperate with prosecutors?

Beating the War Drums for Iran

When I started blogging back in January, one of my early posts questioned the belief that Obama’s election had ended talk of military action against Iran. I though this view was “almost certainly premature,” because I didn’t think a rapid diplomatic breakthrough was likely and I knew that advocates of a more forceful approach would soon come out of the woodwork and start pushing the new administration to get tough with Tehran.

Yes We Can? New UK Report Says: No You Can't

For many Americans there has always been a narcissistic sense of entitlement in terms of global power but according to a fairly recent UK report conducted by the London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies, the United States could start retreating from the world stage without support from its allies abroad.
According to the study researches have concluded that President Barack Obama will have to turn to others for help dealing with the world’s problems due to the fact that he has no other alternative.

“Domestically Obama may have campaigned on the theme ‘yes we can’; internationally he may increasingly have to argue ‘no we can’t',” the institute said in its annual review of world affairs.

A Blizzard of Lies

This fact sheet is a response to the campaign of disinformation being waged against the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) protest letter, "The Toronto Declaration: No Celebration of Occupation,” [1] signed by 1,000 people including Viggo Mortenson, Danny Glover, Naomi Klein, Harry Belafonte, Wallace Shawn, Eve Ensler, Jane Fonda along with many Israelis and Palestinians. This year, TIFF decided to put a celebratory spotlight on Tel Aviv at the festival, in line with the goals of the Israeli Consulate’s “Brand Israel” program. In its own words, the “Brand Israel” program aims to publicize Israeli culture in order to distract public attention from its human rights record.

Israel grants immunity to soldiers over misdeeds

The Israeli Knesset is working on a bill to grant more immunity to Israeli soldiers as the number of Palestinian lawsuits against the Israeli army hits a record high.

The bill --an amendment to the 1952 Civil Wrongs (Liability of the State) Law-- says Israel is not civilly responsible for damages incurred during a military operation launched in a situation of war, providing a broader defense for soldiers' actions in military operations.

Yale pharmacology head, Dr. Joseph Schlessinger, suppressed site exposing sexual, financial misconduct, 14 Sep 2009

Earlier this year or late last year, undisclosed individuals, possibly the aggrieved parties in those cases, registered "josephschlessinger.com", where they placed the court records, transcripts, and links to news articles, all woven together in a morally indignant tone that questioned how Dr. Schlessinger had ever been appointed Yale Pharmacology Chair, given this background.

Rather than suing for libel, which may have been a difficult case to sustain, given that most of his critics' allegations were based on the public record, Dr. Schlessinger took a case to the WIPO, or World Intellectual Property Organization, where he claimed that he owned the commonlaw rights to "josephschlessinger.com".

Company: Regrets not disclosing misconduct

During a hearing that lasted almost six hours, the Commission on Wartime Contracting sharply criticized representatives from ArmorGroup and the State Department for being unaware of what was happening and for not acting more aggressively to correct the situation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please note that there is no mention of this contract being pulled immediately, which is what should have happened.

As reported here, 1 Sept 2009:

"The contractor was the subject of a congressional probe earlier this summer that found serious lapses in the company's handling of the embassy security contract, which internal State Department documents said left the embassy compound "in jeopardy." Nevertheless, the government opted to extend the company's 5-year, $189 million contract for another year. "

One has to wonder which congress members have become "acquisitions" of this company, through overt and covert campaign support.
