Biden proposes to export 20 million tons of Ukrainian grain to stabilize food prices

Again, the accusations are completely unsupported by any actual evidence on the ground. Lugansk oblast (region) is almost entirely under the control of the Lugansk People’s Republic, which only confirms that the Kiev regime has no reliable information from the area. And given the regime’s track record when it comes to the veracity of its claims, the report should be taken with a grain of salt. The report went on to claim that Russia was allegedly trying to “use the 500,000 tons of grain it confiscated from Ukraine to blackmail countries experiencing food shortages”. The idea that a country which produced nearly 130 million tons of grain in 2021 alone needs half a million tons of Ukrainian grain to “blackmail” anyone is simply ridiculous.

So, again, why would Russia want to confiscate grain from Ukraine? Or is this just projection on the part of the political West? Well, it seems the US president Joe Biden inadvertently gave the answer to that. US president Joe Biden says the coming shortages and the ensuing global food crisis could be resolved if over 20 million tons of Ukrainian grain is exported from the country. The suggestion is rather confusing, as the Western mainstream media are claiming that Ukraine is on a verge of another Holodomor as the “evil” Russians are allegedly taking all of Ukraine’s grain. In essence, the political West is saying that to “save” Ukraine from hunger, they need to take its food away. In other words, to deal with a problem, we need to exacerbate it exponentially. A rather interesting train of thought.

Los Angeles apartment maintenance workers found dead after exposure to fentanyl in complex

Two maintenance workers in a downtown Los Angeles apartment complex were found dead Thursday after they were exposed to fentanyl, authorities said.

Luis Garcia, 31, and John Black, 52, were identified by the Los Angeles County Medical-Examiner Coroner as the workers who died. Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 800 block of South Olive Street just before 1 a.m. for a hazmat call, the LAPD told Fox News.

Relatives of one of the workers had contacted the building manager after not seeing or hearing from him since Wednesday evening. The manager checked unit 2205, the last known location where Garcia and Black were working around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, the police said.

G7 to continue economic pressure on Russia, tackle 'wheat war'

Group of Seven foreign ministers vowed on Saturday to reinforce Russia's economic and political isolation, continue supplying weapons to Ukraine and tackle what Germany's foreign minister described as a "wheat war" being waged by Moscow.

After meeting in the Baltic Sea resort of Weissenhaus, senior diplomats from Britain, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, the United States and the European Union also pledged to continue their military and defence assistance for "as long as necessary".

They would also tackle what they called Russian misinformation aimed at blaming the West for food supply issues around the world due to economic sanctions on Moscow and urged China not to assist Moscow or justify Russia's war, according to a joint statement.

GERMANY WEIGHS POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES OF HEAVY WEAPONRY SUPPLIES TO UKRAINE

Discussions in Berlin about the supply of heavy equipment to Ukraine are ongoing, with lobbying for such supplies having the aim of forming a certain public opinion to drag Germany into a confrontation with Russia. The intense debate in the German government over the supply of heavy weapons to Ukraine, including the Flakpanzer Gepard anti-aircraft guns, leads to the country completely abandoning a less militaristic policy that was forced on the country after its defeat in World War II.

In addition, 60 Ukrainian soldiers arrived in Germany on May 11 to begin 40 days training on the five-man operated Howitzer 2000 artillery system, and other training centers are reportedly opened/opening, thus making the European economic powerhouse a proxy of Ukraine and a participant in the conflict.

Elements of the German government are lobbying for the supply of heavy weapons to Ukraine, particularly Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock. Chancellor Olaf Scholz, on the other hand, takes a more cautious and balanced position, stating that the possibility of the Bundeswehr supplying more heavy weapons to Ukraine is practically exhausted. At the same time, he noted that Germany would continue to provide financial and military assistance to Ukraine.

NEO-NAZIS FROM EUROPE RUSH TO FIGHT IN UKRAINE, FLEE FASTER (VIDEOS)

n addition to allied European and U.S. forces, radical right-wing neo-Nazis are pouring into Ukraine. Although their numbers are small, these fighters exert a certain ideological influence on both Ukrainian soldiers and fighters f the Ukrainian military formations.

Latvian fighters can be seen in the photo. Their caps show the symbol, which was used the Totenkopf SS division in Nazi Germany.

This is how fast foreign fighters are fleeing from the front lines together with Ukrainian soldiers:

DID CIA TRAIN UKRAINIAN TORTURERS?

Western media accuse Russia of perpetrating war crimes in Ukraine and committing human rights violations against civilians and prisoners. However, these same agencies are absolutely silent in the face of the evident practices of torture by Kiev’s agents against their enemies, which, curiously, present several similarities with the already known torture techniques applied by the CIA, according to a recent report by a journalist. The matter raises suspicions about a possible “instruction” that would be transmitted by American intelligence to Ukrainian neo-Nazis on “how to torture”.

On May 6, a meeting was held at the United Nations Security Council in order to discuss topics concerning the war crimes committed by Kiev against the population of Donbass during the eight years of conflict. Various evidence was presented, showing that such crimes are real and constitute indeed a serious problem in the region. The proofs included photos, videos, oral testimonies from residents of Donetsk and Lugansk, as well as many other materials collected by journalists on the ground.

One of the journalist team’s leaders is the Dutch independent reporter Sonja van den Ende, who categorically claims that there is irrefutable evidence of the collaboration between Ukrainian official forces and neo-Nazi battalions in the execution of such crimes, showing that the practice is institutionalized and not restricted to isolated paramilitary groups. She also states that, despite the material presented, some Western countries – mainly US, UK, and France – showed an “arrogant” attitude, being disrespectful to the delicacy of the subject and ignoring the evidence of suffering of the people of Donbass, as well as despising the work of journalists.

FDA Commissioner: ‘Don’t Think We Need the Defense Production Act’ – ‘There Is Formula out There’

On Monday’s broadcast of ABC’s “Good Morning America,” FDA Commissioner Dr. Robert M. Califf argued that invoking the Defense Production Act isn’t needed to fix the baby formula shortage because baby formula manufacturers have already increased production, there has been more formula purchased over the last month than the month before the recall, and “there is formula out there. It’s just not in the right place at the right time.” Because of supply chain disruptions due to Abbott shutting down one of its plants.

Califf stated, “I don’t think we need the Defense Production Act. I think the manufacturers are ready to go. And they’re going to increase their production. In fact, they already have. Importantly, there’s been more formula bought, about 10% more in the last month, than in the month before the recall. So, there is formula out there. It’s just not in the right place at the right time. So, this issue of the supply chain, and how it gets disrupted when a major manufacturer has to shut down a plant is a real lesson for all of us that we’re working on rectifying, but it is taking just basic work to get the supply chain right.”

Multiculturalism Is Anti-Culture

In his nearly forgotten book Notes Towards the Definition of Culture, T.S. Eliot observed that “One people in isolation is not aware of having a ‘culture’ at all.” Until I was 12, I lived in western New York state. Then, my family moved to South Carolina for a few years. I was immediately aware of the elements of Southern culture because it was so different from what I had experienced before. But I didn’t understand that I also had a culture; I just thought the Southerners (how they talked, what they ate, what they wore) were weird. At 15, we moved back to Rochester, and for the first time, I discovered that Western New York had a culture too. Things that would have seemed completely neutral and unremarkable as a boy, now struck me as distinctive (how we talked, what we ate, what we wore) and unique to a particular people in that particular place. This is the phenomenon that Eliot discusses: “culture” only becomes an object of concern after an encounter with cultural difference.

Notes Towards the Definition of Culture was published in the immediate aftermath of World War II. Eliot explained that the modern Western world had become “culture-conscious” in a new way, and claimed that this trend “nourishes Nazism, communism, and nationalism all at once.” He saw culture-consciousness as a geopolitical threat. Unfortunately, most Western elites disagreed with him.

Israel to simulate striking Iran in massive IDF drill

The Israeli military will simulate striking targets far from Israel’s borders with a large number of planes while simultaneously acquiring new targets on various fronts in real-time during its largest military drill in history. It will also simulate a future Israeli strike against Iran and its nuclear facilities.

According to the IDF, the drill is unique and unprecedented in scope and will enable the army to maintain a high level of readiness in an ever-changing region. It aims to improve the military’s capabilities in an intense, multi-front and prolonged war on all its borders.

During the drill, the Air Force will also drill on striking targets far from Israel’s borders while troops continue to contend with a multi-front war on its borders.

$163 Billion of COVID Unemployment Money Either Stolen Or ‘Misspent’

A top watchdog for the Labor Department estimates that “at least” $163 billion in COVID unemployment funds were either stolen or “misspent.”

This information came out during a Congressional hearing – where it promptly went missing just like the money, until the Washington Post covered it yesterday.

By way of comparison, that figure is larger than the entire total economies of 138 of the world’s 193 countries.

CNBC Host Corners Biden Transportation Secretary Buttigieg, Who Thinks Raising Taxes Will Solve Inflation

On Monday, CNBC host Andrew Ross Sorkin challenged Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on just how the administration is planning on taking on the the nation’s ongoing inflation crisis.

Sorkin specifically was interested in President Biden’s claim that raising taxes will somehow combat inflation.

AP Exclusive: Black Lives Matter has $42 million in assets

The foundation started by organizers of the Black Lives Matter movement is still worth tens of millions of dollars, after spending more than $37 million on grants, real estate, consultants, and other expenses, according to tax documents filed with the IRS.

In a new, 63-page Form 990 shared exclusively with The Associated Press, the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation Inc. reports that it invested $32 million in stocks from the $90 million it received as donations amid racial justice protests in 2020. That investment is expected to become an endowment to ensure the foundation’s work continues in the future, organizers say.

It ended its last fiscal year – from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 – with nearly $42 million in net assets. The foundation had an operating budget of about $4 million, according to a board member.

May 2022 has seen 33 mass shootings so far

The United States was rocked by mass shootings over the weekend that claimed at least 11 lives from coast to coast. All in, data show the U.S. has seen 33 mass shootings since the start of this month to May 15.

Fox News Digital reviewed the Gun Violence Archives’ data on mass shootings from May 1-15 for the previous five years and found 2021 had the highest number of mass shootings at 37, which is a 12% more compared to 2022.

The Gun Violence Archive defines mass shootings as ones where "4 or more [people are] shot or killed, not including the shooter." The database, as of Monday morning, shows that so far in the month of May, there have been 33 mass shootings, including the Laguna Woods church shooting and Buffalo grocery store shooting.

Webmaster addition: I wonder how many of these shootings are being staged by the gun-grabbers.

Former N.Y. Governor Thinks GOP Can Win

Former New York Governor George Pataki (R-N.Y.) claimed Republicans have a great chance to win the governorship. In a radio interview Sunday, he said the GOP would beat former Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) if he ran again. Cuomo resigned in August 2021 amidst a string of sexual harassment allegations.

“Their is no one who supports Andrew except hardcore partisan Democrats,” Pataki stated.” I mean, you look at the polling, he is the most unpopular political figure in New York state and that’s saying something.”

Pataki voiced, current New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D- N.Y.) is also vulnerable. Hochul’s choice of Brian Benjamin (D-N.Y.) as lieutenant governor ended with the former state senator being bounced from the ticket after he was indicted on federal charges of receiving financial kickbacks.

California church shooting suspect was motivated by 'hatred of the Taiwanese people,' authorities say

A Chinese immigrant accused of targeting an elderly Taiwanese congregation in a shooting rampage at a southern California church on Sunday was motivated by hatred for Taiwanese people, officials said Monday.

"This was a politically motivated hate incident, a grievance that this individual had between himself and the Taiwanese community," Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes said at a news conference.

"Based on preliminary information, it is believed the suspect involved was upset about political tensions between China and Taiwan."

Accused Buffalo mass shooter Payton Gendron said he 'wanted to commit murder-suicide' in 2021 threat: FBI

New details have emerged regarding the alleged threat that accused Buffalo mass shooter Payton Gendron made in June 2021, leading the teenager to undergo a required mental health evaluation at a local hospital.

Payton Gendron, now 18, said he wanted "to commit a murder-suicide" in June 2021, prompting New York State Police to respond to the local high school and take the teen into custody, said Stephen Belongia, special agent-in-charge of the FBI’s Buffalo Field Office.

Belongia provided the details during a joint FBI-DHS National Partner Call on Monday afternoon. FBI Director Christopher Wray, United States Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, Associate Attorney General for the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division Kristen Clarke and police and sheriff’s department officials from Buffalo also participated in Monday’s call.

BLAME GAME: Libs Blame Carlson for Shooting in Buffalo —They Didn't Blame Maddow for Scalise Shooting

The Left was quick to blame Saturday’s horrific mass shooting in Buffalo, New York on conservative lawmakers and pundits; many name checking Fox News host Tucker Carlson —despite any evidence that the shooter watched Carlson’s show. Fellow Fox News host Sean Hannity called the argument “intellectually lazy and intellectually dishonest” on his radio show, The Sean Hannity Show.

“What you’re looking at here, is the face of evil. That’s what this is. This isn’t about politics, it is about evil,” Hannity said, going on to point out that members of the GOP didn’t blame Rachel Maddow or the Democrats for the shooting that injured House Minority Whip Steve Scalise in 2017 —even though the shooter was a Sanders supporter and a Maddow watcher.

The New York Times, in particular, tried to tie Carlson to the shooting.

GOP Governors Ready For Roe To Be Overturned

Republican governors across the country are increasingly expressing excitement at the likely prospect the Supreme Court will overturn the landmark case Roe v. Wade.

On Sunday, Oklahoma’s Republican Governor Kevin Stitt said that he was excited for the state to enforce its fetal heartbeat law, which bans all abortions after a heartbeat can be detected. This usually occurs around six weeks into pregnancy.

“I represent 4 million Oklahomans,” said Stitt. “We believe life begins at conception and we’re going to protect life in Oklahoma. There were 5,000 just in Oklahoma alone. Five-thousand unborn children that were killed last year and we don’t believe in that in Oklahoma. Other states can do things differently.”

Oklahoma abortion law wont be able to be enforced everywhere in the state. Much of the state is controlled by sovereign Native American tribes who can set their own rules for their territory.

FIRST DAY SLAY: Doocy Asks New Press Sec. 'How Come Joe Didn't Go to Waukesha?'

“Look, we have talked about, um, we have talked about this past year, about making sure that the wealthiest among us are paying their fair share, and that is important to do. That is something the president has been working on everyday when we talk about inflation and lowering costs, so it’s very important that as we’re seeing costs rise, as we’re talking about how to, you know, build an America that’s equal for everyone and doesn’t leave anyone behind, that is an important part of that as well,” Jean-Pierre said.

“But how does raising taxes on corporations lower the cost of gas, the cost of a used car, the cost of food for everyday Americans?” Doocy replied.

“So I think we encourage those who have done very well, especially those who care about climate change, to support a fairer tax code that doesn’t charge manufacturers workers, cops, builders a higher percentage of their earnings, that the most fortunate people in our nation, and not let that stand in the way of reducing energy costs and fighting an existential problem if you think about it, that is an example. To support basic collective bargaining rights as well.”

“But look, by not, without, having a fairer tax code, which is what I’m talking about, then all, like, manufacture workers, cops, you know, it’s not fair for them to have to pay higher taxes than the folks who are not paying taxes at all,” she continued.

'Insurrectionist' Trump Approved National Guard Troops for D.C. on Jan 6. Dems Said No.

The Democrat-run January 6 Committee is at full boil. It demands records, testimony, and even contempt-of-Congress charges against a host of Trump Administration officials, including advisors Peter Navarro and Dan Scavino. Its Trump-obsessed members believe they are this close to proving that their much-loathed “DonaldTrump” ordered the January 6 riot as a citizen-fueled, America First, coup d’état.

Before Democrats whip themselves into a deeper frenzy, they should calm down and ask themselves this question:

If they planned to rob the Bank of America branch on Manhattan’s Union Square, would they call 911 before this heist and urge the NYPD to scramble 100 squad cars to the scene of the crime?

Not bloody likely.

Border officials discover 'fully operational' drug tunnel connecting Tijuana to San Diego

U.S. authorities on Monday announced the discovery of a massive tunnel stretching under the U.S.-Mexico border that was likely used to transport drugs undetected.

The over 1,700-foot "fully operational" tunnel runs from Tijuana to an industrial warehouse in San Diego, California. Authorities said it contains a "sophisticated" structural system that was likely used to smuggle heroin, methamphetamine and fentanyl into the U.S.

CA Female Judge Rejects Law Mandating Businesses put Women on Boards

Liberal California lawmakers passed a law requiring companies in the state to put female directors on their boards, but it was struck down in “the second legal setback in as many months for efforts to mandate board diversity” reports The Wall Street Journal.

The law required all public companies headquartered in California to have “at least two or three women on their boards by 2021, depending on the size of the board.” Penalties would be enacted for those who did not abide.

Conservative group Judicial Watch challenged the mandate on behalf of three California residents. Judge Duffy-Lewis wrote in her 23-page verdict that “the plaintiff’s evidence is compelling” but rejected the state’s argument that the lawsuit was premature because penalties or threatened prosecution had not yet occurred.

“The court eviscerated California’s unconstitutional gender quota mandate,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said.

Florida Gov Signs Law Making It Illegal To Protest Outside An Individual’s Home

On Monday, Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill that makes it a crime to protest outside an individual’s home.

“Sending unruly mobs to private residences, like we have seen with the angry crowds in front of the homes of Supreme Court justices, is inappropriate,” DeSantis said. “This bill will provide protection to those living in residential communities and I am glad to sign it into law.”

The law will go into effect on October 1, and once “this law takes effect, law enforcement officers will provide a warning to any person picketing or protesting outside of a dwelling and will make arrests for residential picketing only if the person does not peaceably disperse after the warning. Residential picketing will be punishable as a second-degree misdemeanor,” DeSantis’ office explained.

Amos Miller’s private food club members say they don’t want their grass-fed meat treated with the chemical preservatives required by all USDA-approved processing plants

Amos Miller says he is being persecuted by the federal government for practicing his religious freedom to raise and prepare food the way he believes God intended food to be raised and prepared – in accordance with nature.

Miller practices rotational grazing on his small, holistically managed, century old farm in Bird-In-Hand Pennsylvania. His heritage-breed cows are raised on organic pastures, with the chickens following behind, eating the bugs from their dropping, and whey-fed pigs trampling all the fertilizer back into the ground after that.

Around 4000 customers of his private, members-only, food buying club are dependent on his meat, eggs and dairy products, as well as fermented fruits and veggies… and are willing to spend top dollar to get it shipped to them all over the country, as they don’t trust food from the grocery store.

'THEY ABSOLUTELY BLEW IT': Watters Rips Buttigieg, 'Can't Get Baby Formula in Joe Biden's America'

Fox News host Jesse Watters went off on Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg during Monday’s episode of The Five; Watters was reacting to Buttigieg’s recent comments on the nationwide baby formula shortage in which he said the administration has acted “since day one” and the government “doesn’t make baby formula.”

“Mayor Pete can’t get baby formula in Joe Biden’s America. Yes. And Pete is not even blaming Joe Biden,” Watters said. “Pete says ‘the government doesn’t make baby formula.’ The government doesn’t make anything! When does that ever stop the government from getting involved in everything?” he asked.

“The FDA has to do regulation and oversight. What do the Democrats constantly whine about? More regulation, more government oversight. The one opportunity they had to go in there and do more regulation and oversight, they absolutely blew it.”

Expecting legal trouble? Biden hires top-rated white-collar crime lawyer ahead of possible 2022 red wave

Many political experts are predicting huge gains for the Republican Party in the November midterm elections.

In a possible signal of his concern, President Joe Biden is beefing up his legal team.

According to The New York Times, the Democrat and his White House counsel, Dana Remus, have hired attorney Richard A. Sauber in order to "[lay] the groundwork to defend against an expected onslaught of oversight investigations by congressional Republicans."

The Times report Saturday described Sauber as "a longtime white-collar defense lawyer" who currently serves as the top lawyer for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The move could signal Biden is anticipating investigations or even impeachment inquiries should Republicans take the House of Representatives, the Senate or both in November.

15,000 NATO troops from 14 nations, including the US, Sweden, Finland and Ukraine, start drills near Russia

Large-scale NATO military drills started in Estonia on Monday. The exercise dubbed ‘Hedgehog 2022’ is one of the largest in the Baltic nation’s history, according to the military bloc. The drills will involve some 15,000 troops from 14 nations, including both military bloc members and their partners.

Soldiers from Finland, Sweden, Georgia and Ukraine are among those that will take part in the exercise, Finnish public broadcaster Yle reported. The drills will include all branches of the armed forces and will involve air, sea and land exercises, as well as cyber warfare training, according to the broadcaster.

According to a NATO statement, the drills will also see the US Navy Wasp-class landing ship ‘Kearsarge’ take part in the exercises. Both the military bloc and Estonian Defense Forces deputy commander, Major General Veiko-Vello Palm, have denied that the drills just over 60km from the Russian border have anything to do with Moscow’s ongoing military action in Ukraine.

The drills started just a day after Finland and Sweden officially announced their plans to join NATO, and were planned long before the conflict in Ukraine broke out, Western officials have said.

Information about the Orion Process

“The government encouraged the manufacture and importation of firearms for the criminals to be able to use. This is intended to foster a feeling of insecurity and fear in the American people to which would then lead the them to voluntarily give up their arms by slowly allowing their government to pass laws restricting the use of firearms to then over all gun confiscation. Using drugs and hypnosis on mental patients in a process called Orion, the CIA inculcated the desire in these people to open fire on schoolyards and thus inflame the anti-gun lobby. This plan is well under way, however, there are still many Americans who are fighting back in order to secure their Second Amendment rights.”

COVID-19 Vaccines: Proof of Lethality. Over One Thousand Scientific Studies

Over One Thousand Scientific Studies Prove That the COVID-19 Vaccines Are Dangerous, and All Those Pushing This Agenda Are Committing the Indictable Crime of Gross Misconduct in Public Office

Just over 12 months from deployment of the COVID 19 emergency use experimental vaccines, scientific studies in the thousands, and reports of criminal complaints of assault and murder from the illegal, unlawful use of biochemical poisons made to police forces around the country, verify an assault on an unsuspecting UK population. Irrefutable science shows that the COVID 19 vaccine is not safe and not effective in limiting transmission or infection from the SARS-CoV-2, coronavirus pathogens.

The “safe and effective” false propaganda, put out by public officials who now are continuing to push this vaccine, is a clear breach of duty. A public office holder is subject to, and aware of, a duty to prevent death or serious injury that arises only by virtue of the functions of the public office.

Many have breached that duty and, in doing so, are recklessly causing a risk of death or serious injury, by carrying on regardless of the now-confirmed dangers associated with COVID 19 injections. Some of these risks are blood clotting, myocarditis, pericarditis, thrombosis, thrombocytopenia, anaphylaxis, Bell’s palsy, Guillain-Barre, cancer including deaths, etc.

All of these are confirmed in the following science-and-government-gathered data from the UK Health and Security agency on COVID 19 regarding vaccine damage.

Eight Years Ago: US-NATO Installed a Neo-Nazi Government in Ukraine

This was my assessment in the immediate wake of the EuroMaidan Coup in February 2014:

“The World is at a dangerous crossroads: The structures and composition of this proxy government installed by the West do not favor dialogue with the Russian government and military.

A scenario of military escalation leading to confrontation of Russia and NATO is a distinct possibility. The Ukraine’s National Security and National Defense Committee (RNBOU) which is controlled by Neo-Nazis plays a central role in military affairs. In the confrontation with Moscow, decisions taken by the RNBOU headed by Neo-Nazi Parubiy and his brown Shirt deputy Dmytro Yarosh –in consultation with Washington and Brussels– could potentially have devastating consequences. Rabobank: There Are Whispers Of A Shift To Physical Commodities Being Used As Trade Settlement

Many were sure it was “transitory inflation”, but even Jeff Bezos is Tweeting the White House wanted to spend trillions more dollars than they have been able to, in which case inflation would be even higher than it is now. There is broad agreement that Friday’s dead-cat-bounce in markets in no way captures the real mood music. As such, some now think the tune is “more new normal”, as Fed Chair Powell talks about 50bp hikes in both June and July, while not ruling out a possible recession, suggesting rates will have to come back down again.

Both those hikes and a recession are likely the right notes. However, many tunes start the same, but then diverge sharply. Are we really going to see rate hikes and then rate cuts? Arguably, the music now playing is more sinister – but as a result, many are trying to avoid naming what the tune actually is.

Think of Scandinavian Black Metal as Finland and Sweden officially announce bids for NATO membership, overturning decades and centuries of neutrality, respectively; as Ukraine wins the Eurovision Song Contest, showing the tune the EU public is singing, and President Zelenskiy floats hosting it in demolished and occupied Mariupol; and as France and Germany come last, an EU-wide rejection of their continuous bids to harmonize with Russia.

Think similarly as the G7 warns of 43 million people going hungry if Russia won’t stop its blockade of the Black Sea, which it won’t. That seems an undercount given recent surveys in even Western countries talking about 2 in 7 people facing some form of hunger, and a surge in the use of food banks. Worse, India just halted exports of wheat, or will only sell to those in real need, which injects another layer of (geo)politics into commodities trading.

BREAKING: Ted Cruz wins First Amendment case on campaign finance question in Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Senator Ted Cruz's First Amendment challenge on campaign finance law. In the Federal Election Commission v Ted Cruz for Senate, the question was whether or not it is a violation of the First Amendment right to free speech for campaigns to be prohibited from paying back loans candidates made to their campaigns after the close of that campaign in excess of $250,000.

The issue stems from Cruz's 2018 senate campaign, which was then the most expensive senate race in the history of the state of Texas. During that campaign, Cruz loaned his campaign $260,000. By the time the campaign was able to fully repay the loan, with the use of additional, post-election raised funds, the time period during which it was permissible to repay in excess of $250,000 had passed, and Cruz was only repaid $250,000.

Solomon explained that he believes Durham is dealing with “two buckets.”

In one “bucket,” there are the last two indictments against officials who were connected to Hillary Clinton and their plan to feed the FBI false information about Trump-Russia conspiracies.

Solomon said the other “bucket” focuses on the FBI and whether agents knowingly mislead the FISA court to obtain warrants to spy on members of Trump’s 2016 campaign.

Pelosi Claims GOP Is Using ‘Black Mail’ To Demand Title 42 Vote

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) suggested that Republicans are using black mail to demand a vote from Democrats on Title 42. Pelosi made those comments during an interview Sunday and questioned why the measure was in the COVID relief bill.

“There’s no use holding it up to blackmail, as the Republicans are trying to do,” said Pelosi. “We are working on it. We will find a way. It has to be done.”

Senate Republicans blocked the upper chamber from advancing Democrats $10 billion COVID bill after the Biden administration refused to vote on reversing Title 42.

Factcheckers Lie About Geotracking Tech To Debunk “2000 Mules”

The accuracy of geotracking technology from our phones has become a topic of debate, especially after the release of Dinesh D’Souza’s new documentary film “2000 Mules.” One America’s Chief White House Correspondent Chanel Rion has more from Washington.

Rep. Tenney to Newsmax: 'Reporting Problem' at Issue in Buffalo Shootings

The state of New York already has some of the most strict gun laws in the country, but the reporting system involved in the federal statutes "is usually the problem" in cases such as the weekend's deadly mass shooting at a Buffalo grocery store on Saturday, Rep. Claudia Tenney told Newsmax on Monday.

"For a day and a half he was retained in a hospital setting to be evaluated for threats and mental health problems and then released," the New York Republican said on Newsmax's "Wake Up America" about 18-year-old Payton Gendron, who was arrested Saturday after opening fire in a grocery store located at a predominantly Black neighborhood, killing 10 people. "Why wasn't that reported?"

Gendron reportedly bought his weapon legally, but Tenney noted that under federal law, Gendron's mental health status and previous threats should have been reported.

Judicial Watch: California Court Opinion Explains Historic Ruling against Race, Ethnic, LGBT Quotas

Judicial Watch announced today that the California Superior Court has released its full opinion in the case decided last week declaring that the State’s racial, ethnic, and LGBT quota for diversity on corporate boards of California-based corporations violates the California Constitution. The court found that only in “very particular cases should discrimination be remedied by more discrimination.”

The ruling and opinion come in the case (Robin Crest, et al. v. Alex Padilla, in his official capacity as Secretary of State of the State of California (No.20STCV37513)) granting Judicial Watch’s motion for summary judgment in its lawsuit on behalf of taxpayers who are asking the court to declare the quota scheme unconstitutional under California’s constitution and seeking to enjoin its enforcement. This lawsuit was filed by Judicial Watch on October 2, 2020, in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Los Angeles, on behalf of three California taxpayers (Robin Crest, Earl De Vries and Judy DeVries) to prevent California from enforcing Assembly Bill 979 (AB 979). The law requires that boards of directors of California-based, publicly held domestic or foreign corporations satisfy a racial, ethnic, and LGBT quota by the end of the 2021 calendar year.

2000 Mules Just “Tip of the Voter Fraud Iceberg” – Michigan Investigators Reveal Mountain of New Evidence of 2020 Election Fraud

With the release of 2,000 Mules, patriots around the country are seeing the truth about the obvious voter fraud that was caught on video at designated ballot boxes. The Mules are those who were dropping fraudulent ballots into drop boxes. We know about the ones that were recorded and who were sloppy enough to keep their phones with them as they committed systemic voter fraud.

What is overlooked by many, though, is that there is much more voter fraud evidence from the 2020 election emerging.

Patriot Joe Brandis, who has been investigating Michigan voter fraud since the 2020 election with Michigan Citizens for Election Integrity says, “this is just the tip of the iceberg of voter fraud evidence that is emerging every week, and what’s about to come.”

2000 MULES SHOWS ‘TIP OF THE ICEBERG’ OF VOTER FRAUD CRIMES IN 2020 ELECTION

The Gateway Pundit reported on a wide variety of eyewitnesses who observed fraud just in Michigan. Many of those observers mentioned a very suspicious 3:30AM Biden Ballot Dump of votes in Detroit at the TCF Center where absentees were being counted.

Biden Laptop from Hell Emails Now Online – Searchable Database

The address is bidenlaptopemails.com — go there to search. It’s slow for now. I googled ‘big guy’ and 92 pages of emails popped up, and the word ‘next’.

Here are the 128k emails from the Biden Laptop, which is a modern Rosetta Stone of white and blue collar crime under the patina of “the Delaware Way.” Prior to the discovery of the Rosetta Stone, a number of ancient languages were mere gibberish and hash marks. Similarly, the emails on the Biden Laptop illuminated previously convoluted webs of the people you see leading the charge for global governance; truly, the emails can be considered a translation tool for Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) gathering.

True the Vote Announces They Now Have Footage of the 2020 Green Bay Drop Boxes – Are Working with Law Enforcement in Wisconsin (VIDEO)

True the Vote’s Catherine Engelbrecht and fraud investigator Gregg Phillips sat down with The Epoch Times this weekend for an update on the ballot trafficking investigations.

Catherine Engelbrecht announced that her organization now have video footage of the ballot boxes from Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Catherine and Gregg claim that Obama-affiliated NGOs spent billions to steal the 2020 elections.

Catherine also said True the Vote is working with at least two local law enforcement agencies in the state.

Grooming: A PUBLIC SCHOOL Is Forcing Kids To Pledge Allegiance To The Gay Pride Flag

To celebrate pride, students at Cedar Grove Elementary in Montgomery County, Maryland, were asked to participate in a video compilation where they would hold a poster of a pride flag and repeat a series of words.

The event was arranged by the school’s Parent Teachers Association, and students were asked to obtain parental permission to take part.

The PTA declared the event through a Facebook post that has since been made private.

Elon Musk says Twitter legal team told him he violated an NDA

Elon Musk on Saturday tweeted that Twitter's legal team accused him of violating a nondisclosure agreement by revealing that the sample size for the social media platform's checks on automated users was 100.

"Twitter (TWTR) legal just called to complain that I violated their NDA by revealing the bot check sample size is 100!" tweeted Musk, chief executive of electric car maker Tesla (TSLA).

Musk on Friday tweeted that his $44-billion cash deal to take the company private was "temporarily on hold" while he awaited data on the proportion of its fake accounts.

GOP Rep. Kat Cammack reveals video of huge stockpile of baby formula at border center after being slammed by White House for sharing photo of supplies being given to migrants while Americans struggle to feed their children

A Republican congresswoman took a trip to the US-Mexico border to expose the stockpiling of baby formula being sent to border facilities while American families continue to face empty shelves amid a nationwide shortage.

Rep. Kat Cammack, of Florida, was accused of lying about the formula crisis after she shared photos she was sent by sources last week showing full shelves of baby formula and food at a processing center at the southern border.

But now the congresswoman has visited and surveyed the facilities herself, finding not only an amass of formula, but other necessary infant supplies littered across the floor of a warehouse.

'Last week, I received text messages and photos from Border Patrol agents showing a stockpile of baby formula and there was complete outrage from the White House, CNN and other liberal outlets claiming that we were lying, so I decided to go down myself and film it,' she told Fox Business on Monday.

Gas prices rocket to ANOTHER record high: National average soars to $4.48 per gallon but hits $5.98 in some states as costs soar 40 cents in one month and $1.43 in a year

Gas prices have rocketed to another record high as the national average hit $4.48 a gallon today.

Prices have surged by 15 cents over the last week, 40 cents over the past month and $1.43 in a year, according to the AAA.

Meanwhile some states - such as California - are reporting spiraling prices of up to $5.98 this week.

Russia's war in Ukraine is having a dramatic impact on the cost of crude oil - which sits at $114.20 a barrel.

'The real president is whoever controls the teleprompter': Elon Musk compares Biden to Anchorman's Ron Burgundy because he will 'read whatever' and warns soaring inflation will turn the U.S. into Venezuela

Elon Musk has the cost of living crisis under Joe Biden could get so bad the U.S. could turn into Venezuela and compared the President to Anchorman's Ron Burgundy for relying heavily on a teleprompter.

The Tesla CEO, who is in the midst of a $44billion takeover bid for Twitter, said he has previously voted 'overwhelmingly for Democrats', but savaged the current administration, saying Donald Trump's presidency was more effective at getting things done.

He told The All-In Podcast: 'The real president is whoever controls the teleprompter. The path to power is the path to the teleprompter.'

The world's richest man then made reference to Will Ferrell's Anchorman character Ron Burgundy who read verbatim what was written on his teleprompter, causing him to lose his job.

REVEALED: BLM founder Patrisse Cullors paid her baby father $970,000 for 'creative services', her brother $840,000 for security, a fellow director $2.1m and reimbursed the organization $73,000 for a charter flight

Newly released tax filings revealed how Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors used charity funds to pay her friends and family large sums for various 'consulting' services, as well as charter a private flight.

The documents reveal that BLM paid a company owned by Damon Turner, the father of Cullors' child, nearly $970,000 to help 'produce live events' and provide other 'creative services.'

The co-founder's brother, Paul Cullors, received more than $840,000 for providing security services to the foundation.

Leaders have attempted to justify the expense by saying the foundation's protection could not be entrusted to former police professionals who typically run security firms because the BLM movement is known for vehemently protesting law enforcement organizations.

'Twitter does not believe in free speech': Undercover Project Veritas recording reveals Twitter engineer saying platform censors the right but NOT the left, everyone who works there is 'commie as f**k' and they 'hate' Elon Musk

A senior engineer at Twitter has admitted the social media giant has a strong left-wing bias and they routinely censor conservatives.

Siru Murugesan was recorded saying the company culture is extremely far left where workers are 'commie as f**k' and they 'hate, hate, hate' Elon Musk's $44billion takeover.

In a shockingly frank conversation, filmed over several encounters, he said the firm 'does not believe in free speech' and even started to turn him left-wing when he joined.

His comments come amid a firestorm at Twitter as staff fear they will face the ax or be stopped from censoring certain content when the Tesla billionaire takes over.

More Than 250 Ukrainian Troops Surrender as Kyiv Orders Mariupol to Yield

More than 250 Ukrainian fighters surrendered to Russian forces at the Azovstal steelworks in Mariupol and Kyiv said it had ordered its entire garrison to evacuate, heralding the end of Europe's bloodiest battle in decades.

Reuters saw buses leave the steelworks overnight and five of them arrive in the Russian-held town of Novoazovsk, where Moscow said they would be treated for wounds.

In one, marked with the Latin letter 'Z' that has become the symbol of Russia's assault, wounded men were lying on stretchers three bunks high. One man was wheeled out, his head tightly wrapped in thick bandages.

The War in Ukraine. Scott Ritter’s Switcheroo: “Why I Radically Changed My Overall Assessment”

On Sunday, the foreign policy blogs were abuzz with the news that Scott Ritter had done “an about-face in his assessment of the war”. It appears that the ex-Marine had examined recent developments in Ukraine and concluded that it’s going to be much harder for Russia to win than he had originally thought…

Naturally, the news of Ritter’s reversal sent shockwaves across the internet, especially among the people who follow events in Ukraine closely and who greatly admire his even-handed analysis. Some of these people clearly felt betrayed by Ritter’s comments and blasted him as a “concern troll” which refers to a person who feigns sympathy while actually feeling the opposite. This is a terrible way to treat a guy who’s devoted so much of his time to informing people about an issue of which they might know very little without his research. Besides, Ritter is no hypocrite. Quite the contrary.

It’s fair to say, however, that Ritter has probably been the most outspoken proponent of the “Russia is winning” theory, a hypothesis that runs counter to everything we read in the legacy media or see on the cable news channels. Unfortunately, Ritter’s views on the matter have changed dramatically, and that’s due almost entirely to developments on the ground. As Ritter candidly admits, “The military aid the west is providing to Ukraine is changing the dynamic and if Russia doesn’t find a way to address this meaningfully… the conflict will never end.”

When the People Tasked With Protecting Our Children Are the Villains

The evidence shows that school closures during COVID were an epic public policy blunder. The school lockdowns in many states were arguably the most significant episode of government-sponsored child abuse in American history.

You don't have to take my word for it. Last week, the liberal New York Times came to the same conclusion after an extensive investigation. The New York Times found:

"Extended school closures appear to have done much more harm than good, and many school administrators probably could have recognized as much by the fall of 2020. In places where schools reopened that summer and fall, the spread of Covid was not noticeably worse than in places where schools remained closed."

McConnell tries to stamp out Trump dissension on Ukraine

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is stamping out former President Trump’s efforts to sow dissension in the Republican Party over whether to send tens of billions of dollars in new assistance to Ukraine.

McConnell is framing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as a clear threat to U.S. national security interests, espousing the muscular foreign policy worldview that Republicans were known for before Trump took office in 2017.

He traveled to the country over the weekend as part of an all-Republican Senate delegation to personally assure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that there’s strong Republican support for Kyiv, despite criticism of the latest Ukraine aid package from Trump and his allies, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).

The Beginning of the End: Why Volodymyr Zelensky’s Upcoming Virtual Appearance at Davos Is a Bigger Deal Than Most Realize

When news broke yesterday that the globalists at the World Economic Forum expected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to attend their annual Davos conference, most conservative news outlets pounced on the notion that he’s going to be wasting his time with his buddy, Klaus Schwab, instead of focusing on bringing peace to his nation and protecting his people.

This is a valid argument, though one that has been made every time Zelensky appears to be doing something other than focusing on the war efforts. What seems to have gotten lost in all of this is that Zelensky is almost certainly going to be positioned as not just a victim, but also a potential leader to spearhead the stated purposes of this year’s meeting: Advancing the world toward The Great Reset, ending capitalism, and subverting Western domination over the world.

‘They’ve told him that as a black man the world is against him’: Single mom of biracial son, 13, sues his school over CRT because ‘he now sees things that don’t go his way as racism’

A single mother of a biracial son is suing his school over its 'anti-racism' programme, saying he now sees things that don't go his way as racism.

Melissa Riley, from Charlottesville in Virginia, said that her 13-year-old boy never saw himself as different to other students until the Albemarle School District introduced an 'anti-racism' programme to his middle school last spring.

Speaking to Fox News, she said it was then that he began thinking in terms of race.

NASA's Perseverance Mars rover embarks on key mission to search for signs of ancient alien life on the Red Planet

Nasa's Perseverance rover has reached a key moment in its search for evidence of past life on Mars.

The car-sized robot, which landed on the Red Planet in February last year, will today (Tuesday) begin climbing up an ancient delta to look for sampling sites that might contain ancient microbes and organics.

This ascent will be for reconnaissance, as Perseverance goes 'walkabout' looking for rocks with the best chance of holding secrets about whether alien life once existed on Mars.

Elon Musk threatens to pull the plug on Twitter deal unless CEO Parag Agrawal provides proof that less than 5% of Twitter accounts are bots as tech giant files proxy statement with SEC that buyout will be at agreed price of $54.20 per share

Elon Musk has again stated his Twitter deal 'cannot move forward' until the social media company shows proof of its spam account figures.

The Tesla CEO, who last month offered $44billion for the tech platform, disputes their claims that bots represent around five per cent of their users, believing the figures could be 'much higher' than 20 per cent.

The world's richest man fired off a tweet this morning stating: '20% fake/spam accounts, while 4 times what Twitter claims, could be *much* higher.

Abbott baby formula factory claims the FDA HASN'T given it the greenlight to restart production despite agency claiming it could be up and running in two weeks

The troubled Michigan baby formula factory that shut down in February claims the Food and Drug Administration still hasn't given them the green light to restart operations, despite the agency saying it could be back up and running in two weeks.

Abbott Laboratories revealed Monday that it had entered into a consent decree with the FDA that creates a pathway to reopen the facility, however the timeline for operations remains unclear.

‘After FDA approval, Abbott could restart the site within two weeks; from the time of restart it would take six to eight weeks before product is available on shelves,' a company spokesperson told DailyMail.com on Monday.

The FDA chief who STILL hasn't opened vital baby formula factory: Obama-era appointee Robert Califf 'turned blind eye' to opioid crisis, made millions out of Big Pharma and Google and is loathed by Reps and Dems... but was brought back by Biden

He should be one of the most glorified men in America - a leading cardiologist who married his childhood sweetheart and now runs one of the biggest health agencies in the world.

But Robert Califf has rocketed to public enemy number one with parents across the country due to his role in the baby formula crisis.

The 71-year-old doctor was brought back into the fold as FDA commissioner in February and immediately shut down Abbott Laboratories in Michigan.

Karine Jean-Pierre starts debut briefing by saying she's the first 'black, gay, immigrant woman' to hold position - before hitting Bezos for his criticism of Biden and trying to explain why president is going to Buffalo when he avoided Waukesha

Karine Jean-Pierre addressed her historic position as the nation's first black, openly gay White House press secretary in her first briefing, where she struggled to answer questions on inflation, addressed the baby forumla shortage and spoke to why President Joe Biden was visiting Buffalo.

Jean-Pierre took questions for a little more than an hour. She has previously briefed the public in her role as deputy White House press secretary - a job that prepared her to step in Jen Psaki's shoes. Psaki's last briefing was Friday.

'I just want to say a few words about how honored I am to be here with all of you today,' Jean-Pierre said at the top of her briefing.

US Navy Creates Unmanned Surface Vessel Division

The US Navy has established a new division tasked with overseeing operations of all its medium and large unmanned vessels, including the Sea Hunter and the Sea Hawk.

Called the Unmanned Surface Vessel Division (USVDIV) One, the new unit will focus on experimentation and support of the navy’s unmanned operations objectives.

The USVDIV One would also be responsible for training sailors to operate and maintain the country’s fleet of unmanned ships for future missions.

“To meet the challenges of the 21st Century, we must continue to innovate the surface force,” Cmdr. Jeremiah Daley said. “USVDIV One will accelerate the delivery of credible and reliable unmanned systems in conjunction with increasingly capable manned platforms into the fleet.”

Taunting The Over-Sensitive Left: Musk Just Trounced The Libs And They Are Going Insane

Elon Musk has laughed that "owning the libs" isn't cheap after claiming to put his $44 billion purchase of Twitter on hold. The tweet sent the left into a frenzy, angry that he is pointing them out while not addressing people like Tucker Carlson who they say is responsible for White Supremacy in America.

"Whoever thought owning the libs would be cheap never tried to acquire a social media company!" Musk tweeted on Saturday. He continued: "At least, that's what the lib hive mind thinks haha."

"Owning libs" is an internet slang used by conservatives to defeat or embarrass liberals in arguments.

Americans Don’t Want War With Russia But Republicans And Democrats Are Forcing It Anyway

A majority of Americans do not want the U.S. to go to war with Russia over Ukraine. Recent polling from The Washington Post and ABC News suggests that 72 percent of U.S. adults “oppose the United States taking direct military action against Russian forces.” Even in the early days of the overseas conflict, only 17 percent of Americans were willing to “risk a direct war between the U.S. and Russia” to “do whatever it can to help Ukraine.”

Congress has yet to vote to officially authorize acts of war against Russia, but that hasn’t stopped some of the most high-ranking officials in the U.S., from President Joe Biden and sitting members of Congress to intelligence agencies and even institutions such as the corporate media, from promoting a clash in Eastern Europe.

NATO Members Pledge to Defend Sweden, Finland if Russia Attacks

Iceland, Denmark and Norway have offered security guarantees to Finland and Sweden if either come under attack, after Stockholm said it would follow Helsinki in requesting membership in the NATO bloc.

On Monday, the three European states said they would do everything possible to “ensure a swift accession process” for the new applicants, while also vowing to take action on their behalf in the event of an attack.

“Finland and Sweden’s security is a matter of common concern to us all. Should Finland or Sweden be victims of aggression on their territory before obtaining NATO membership, we will assist Finland and Sweden by all means necessary,” the joint statement said.

Erdogan Says Turkey Will Not Approve Finland, Sweden Joining NATO

On Monday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Ankara will not approve Sweden and Finland’s bid for NATO membership over the Nordic countries’ alleged support for the PKK, a Kurdish group Turkey considers to be a terrorist organization.

Sweden and Finland also have imposed a ban on arms exports to Turkey over Erdogan’s offensive in northeast Syria in 2019. “First of all, we cannot say ‘yes’ to those who impose sanctions on Turkey, on joining NATO, which is a security organization,” Erdogan said.

Finland and Sweden need the consent of all 30 NATO members to join the alliance and are hoping to convince Turkey to drop its opposition.

Russia Fires S-300 Anti-Aircraft Missiles at Attacking Israeli Planes in Syria

In an incident which could suggest a significant shift in policy, the most recent Israeli attack on Syria, in Hama, saw Russian forces firing on them with S-300 anti-aircraft missiles. The planes were not in danger, but this is the first time Russia has taken such fire on them.

Syria has a large quantity of Russian-made anti-aircraft systems, and the Syrian military itself has regularly used them to intercept missiles or chase Israeli warplanes.

Russia has provided Syria those weapons, and has provided upgraded versions like the advanced S-300. Those weapons have remained in part in Russian hands. The systems are positioned around Russian facilities in the west of the country.

The News Media’s Ukraine Whitewash Grows Worse

The U.S. news media’s treatment of the Ukraine issue has long been characterized by flagrant favoritism. Reports from organizations such as Human Rights Watch, Transparency International, and Freedom House showing that Ukraine’s actual conduct differed markedly from its carefully crafted image as a dedicated young democracy received little coverage in the mainstream press. That willingness to conceal Ukraine’s corruption and authoritarianism has grown even worse since the outbreak of war with Russia. Media coverage moved quickly from ignoring or minimizing inconvenient information about Kyiv’s political and economic system to channeling outright Ukrainian propaganda.

For example, multiple unfiltered stories from Ukrayinska Pravda and other Ukrainian news outlets have become a nearly daily feature on Yahoo’s news feed. Official statements and press releases from Ukraine’s government also appear on Yahoo and other outlets, frequently without an acknowledgment that the accuracy of those accounts could not be confirmed. Contents in the Washington Post and the New York Times, which set the agenda and tone throughout much of the US news media on any issue, similarly have conveyed a solidly pro-Ukraine perspective. Moreover, there are very few competing accounts in those outlets from Russian news sources or even from American analyses that challenge the dominant narrative.

The Leaders of France, Germany, and Italy Favor Negotiations to End Ukraine War

In recent weeks, the leaders of the three largest EU countries by population — France, Germany, and Italy — have all come out in favor of negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow as a way to end the fighting in Ukraine.

Unlike President Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi have all spoken with Russian President Vladimir Putin since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.

The three European leaders have all signed off on sending weapons to the Ukrainians but have also been calling for a ceasefire. After speaking with Putin by phone on Friday, Scholz wrote on Twitter: “There must be a ceasefire in Ukraine as quickly as possible.”

Taliban Claims 130,000-Strong Army as Afghans Face Starvation

The Taliban’s defense ministry on Sunday claimed the “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan” has amassed a standing army of over 130,000 troops with hopes to bring that number up to 150,000.

Meanwhile, the Afghan economy is a wreck, poverty is rampant, and starvation is kept at bay only through massive international humanitarian efforts.

“More than 130,000 people have been registered and this process will continue. With the completion of registration, the Afghans will see an independent, well-formed and committed military who will provide security and defend the Afghan soil and borders,” Defense Ministry spokesman Inayatullah Khwarazami boasted to Afghanistan’s independent Tolo News.

Khwarazami said the female employees who worked for the elected government overthrown by the Taliban last year are still at their posts and “still receiving their salaries,” but the “Islamic Emirate and Defense Ministry will make a decision about them” soon.

No Data Supports Threat of ‘White Supremacists’

Joe Biden will travel to Buffalo on Tuesday, ostensibly to join the upstate New York community in mourning the murders of 10 people at a local grocery store over the weekend. It is, of course, appropriate for Biden in his role as president to grieve with Americans devastated by such a brutal massacre of innocents, especially an attack that from all accounts was racially motivated.

What’s not appropriate is for Biden to use the atrocity as a platform to fuel even more hatred and division in a country ripping apart at the seams in so many ways—but that’s exactly what he will do. The man who launched his 2020 campaign for president touting the lie that Donald Trump commended “very fine” white supremacists after a 2017 protest in Charlottesville can be expected to promote another lie; violent white supremacists and domestic extremists pose a heightened threat to the country.

That tired mantra remains an animating feature of the Biden regime. On his second full day in office, Biden instructed his national security team to devise a whole-of-government approach to combat “domestic terrorism,” largely using the events of January 6, 2021 as the pretext. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki promised a “fact-based analysis upon which we can shape policy” when she announced the initiative on January 22, 2021.

But the 32-page report, issued by Merrick Garland’s Justice Department during a public ceremony in June, was long on rhetoric and very short on facts.

India Has Every Right To Restrict Wheat Exports To Ensure Domestic Food Security

Not only does the US want to fight China to the last Indian, but now it’s implied that it wants countless Indians to potentially starve to death in order to feed America’s vassal states across the Global South whose governments it hopes to uphold for political reasons. Put another way, the US would prefer for Indians to die than for American-aligned governments in the Global South to fall in the face of famine-driven protests.

US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield is aghast that India announced that it’s restricting wheat exports. In her words, “We are encouraging countries not to restrict exports because we think that any restriction on exports will exacerbate the food shortages. But you’ve again – India will be one of the countries participating in our meeting at the Security Council and we hope they can, as they hear our concerns, reconsider their position.” This is perhaps the most arrogant form of pressure that America has attempted to impose upon India since it started this trend to punish New Delhi for its policy of principled neutrality towards Russia’s ongoing special military operation in Ukraine.

Why Did Rand Paul Delay Washington’s $40 Billion Ukraine Giveaway?

Even by Washington standards, the Biden Administration’s recent request for $33 billion for military aid to Ukraine was shocking. Surely a coalition of antiwar progressives and budget-hawk Republicans would oppose the dangerous and expensive involvement of the US in the Russia/Ukraine conflict? No! Not only did Congress not object: they added nearly seven billion MORE dollars to the package!

In the end, not a single House Democrat voted against further US involvement in the war, and just 57 Republicans said “no” to funding yet another undeclared war.

On the Senate side, Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) both demanded immediate passage of the huge giveaway to Ukraine. That’s Washington’s bipartisanship for you.

Then the junior Senator from Kentucky came to the Senate Floor and did the unthinkable in Washington: he delayed the vote.

“My oath of office is to the national security of the United States of America,” Sen. Rand Paul said. “We cannot save Ukraine by dooming the US economy.” He went on to point out that the US has spent nearly as much on Ukraine’s military as the entire military budget of Russia and that the US government has sent more military money to Ukraine than it spent in the entire first year of the US war in Afghanistan.

Abe rolled his own!

Abe Lincoln had a problem, well, he actually had shit tons of problems, but there was one, really vexing one all the way down at the core of things.

Abe was facing the Khazarian Mafia, the pretend jews, who were really, like seriously pissed off at him. The Khazarians had good reason, in their minds, to be angry. Abe was starting to interfere with a hugely lucrative business model of theirs.

You see, the Khazarian Mafia owned the banks that financed the slave boats. The Khazarian Mafia owned the slave boats. They were many of the crew. They owned the Kor’als (embarkation points, aka slave pens) in Africa, and also, frequently all the ‘town’ surrounding the Kor’al. They also owned the slave quarters & sales pens here in the Americas, both North and South. And they owned most of the politicians that supported the slave trade, again, North and South. Oh, they also were nearly 90% of all the owners of slaves here in North America. They also financed the cotton industry to support their mills in England which were the mainstay for their banking interests there. It gets really complicated the more you get into it.

But it all added up to a shit ton of problems for Abe, in as much he knew that War was coming. It was the Khazarian Mafia pattern. Abe knew this. Abe knew about the whole plan that the Khazarians worked on Italy a century back that led to its partition into North and South Italy. Abe could see the Khazarian plan unfolding in the world in which he was President of the Republic of these United States.

Busted: Biden’s “Minster of Truth” Nina Jankowicz Participated in Secret NATO-Funded Cabal to Subvert Western Democracies Using Disinformation as Cover

Whatever one thinks of the precise term “deep state,” Nina badly wants everyone to dismiss the very concept of secret groups operating within Washington. She works “with and around” them after all, and she says such a cabal or network of cabals does not exist.

In fact, Nina does know the truth, and it’s the opposite of what she claims above. Nina’s name appeared in one of the most explosive and aggressively censored national security leaks of the century. The leak in question exposed the “Integrity Initiative,” a dark government-funded NGO that appears to have engaged in political meddling and covert influence operations in Western countries under the guise of fighting “disinformation.”

Founded in mid-2015 under the auspices of the U.K. government-funded NGO “Institute for Statecraft,” the Integrity Initiative boasted a precociously fashionable motto: “Defending Democracy Against Disinformation.”

The Integrity Initiative “defended democracy” by recruiting secretive “clusters” of academics, national security bureaucrats, journalists, think tankers, and lobbyists in multiple European countries. These clusters would then be engaged in various ways to address nation-specific threats of so-called “Russian disinformation.”

Over a Span of Just Hours, Nearly 65% Black Baltimore Has Two Mass Shootings by Black Shooters...

Remember, even the New York Times admitted 75 percent of mass shooters in America are black. [A Drumbeat of Multiple Shootings, but America Isn’t Listening: Most shootings with four deaths or injuries are invisible outside their communities. And most of the lives they scar are black., New York Times, May 22, 2016]

Repeat this ad nauseam.

In 65 percent black Baltimore, two separate mass shootings occurred just hours apart.

No national news. Virtually no press outside of the city.

It’s just life in a society where whiteness has been supplanted, and western civilization is waning.

America the Feckless

There have been several particularly disturbing stories in the media over the past week even if one chooses to tune out the US Congress’s pending astonishing overwhelming approval of a grant of $39.8 billion to Ukraine to continue the war to “weaken” Russia. Even so-called progressives in the Democratic Party voted for the war. So now the United States will be at war with Russia through proxy, like it or not, and the consequences could be devastating, particularly if NATO member Poland intervenes directly, as it has been threatening, but few in Washington seem to be awake to that reality. And only Senator Rand Paul, who is asking for an inspector general to supervise the cash flow, is seriously wondering how much of the “aid” will be stolen by President Volodymyr Zelensky and his cronies. Ukraine has long been distinguished as the most corrupt country in Europe.

Another revolting story concerns the murder of a Palestinian Christian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, who also happens to be an American citizen. She was shot dead by an Israeli sniper who hit her in the neck in the small gap between a protective helmet and vest. She was covering Israeli Army violence directed against protesting Palestinians in the West Bank town of Jenin for al-Jazeera and the vest was labelled “Press” in large letters. Israel initially sought to blame her death on Palestinian “gunmen” who allegedly were in the area, but that story would not wash when confronted with the eyewitness testimony of others who were on the scene and it was eventually conceded that an Israeli soldier “might have” fired the fatal shot. Last Friday, preceding Shireen’s funeral at the Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Virgin in occupied East Jerusalem, Israeli police providing “security” were seen kicking and using batons to beat mourners seeking to carry the coffin from the hospital to the church. The police also hurled stun and smoke grenades into the crowd after several plastic water bottles were allegedly thrown in their direction. Abu Akleh’s home was also searched by police and it will no doubt be claimed that she was a “terrorist,” standard Israeli practice for many of those whom they murder.

Mentally Ill Criminal Aliens Get Amnesty, But The Law Prohibits ANY Mentally Ill Aliens From Entering The United States

VDARE.com’s A. W. Morgan brought attention to the recent expansion of the Biden Regime Administrative Amnesty for Criminal Aliens, a worthy successor to the criminal alien amnesty from the Obama Regime. This time the administrative amnesty reached out to include aliens deportable for both criminal convictions and for mental illness, simply stunning in its audacity and illegality [Garland Joins Mayorkas In Blocking Deportation Of Illegal-Alien Criminals, May 12, 2022].

However, what escaped Morgan was that criminal aliens are prohibited from immigrating to the United States or adjusting status in the United States without a waiver approved by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and that the basis for Attorney General (AG) Merrick Garland’s action is without foundation in law, as the AG cannot adjudicate a waiver, nor can an Immigration Judge. A waiver is a discretionary act by the DHS Secretary, or his designate in DHS, only. The AG has great power in the administration of immigration law, but the AG cannot create new categories of immigration, and the AG cannot create new waivers of inadmissibility for aliens who are, well, inadmissible, or adjudicate a waiver of grounds of inadmissibility. Creating new avenues of immigration or new waivers is within the sole jurisdiction of Congress through appropriate legislation.

Moreover, the basis for Garland’s fictional waiver of grounds of inadmissibility for criminal aliens, a mental illness or defect, is itself an additional exclusion charge applicable to both intended immigrants and non-immigrants, criminals or not.

The Great Replacement "Delusion"

Editorialists all over—in today's New York Post, for example—are using Saturday's horror in Buffalo to tell us that the Great Replacement Theory is hogwash: "a delusion," says the Post, "racist, moronic garbage."

They don't say the half of it. Not only are there delusional racist morons claiming that "white people are being diminished"; you will even hear it said that the so-called Great Replacement—which of course is totally NOT happening—is being applauded by self-hating urban white wokesters. How crazy do you have to be to believe THAT?

Oh, wait ....

UAE: Kamala Harris-led delegation visits Abu Dhabi in bid to mend strained ties

US Vice President Kamala Harris led a high-powered delegation to the United Arab Emirates on Monday, during which she offered her condolences over the death of its ruler Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

US President Joe Biden had sent several leading US officials in what experts say appears to be a bid to step up efforts to repair frayed ties with Gulf allies.

Since last Friday, world leaders have descended on Abu Dhabi to pay respects to new leader Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed on the death of his half-brother.

Was The Buffalo Massacre (Bad!) Caused By The Great Replacement (Undeniable)?

While chronicling the Main Stream Media–unreported phenomenon that we call Immigrant Mass Murder (641 dead in 93 documented cases since 1973), we regularly note that mass murder is not a job that Americans won’t do—it’s just that they don’t do it as often as immigrants. The latest case in point: the shocking Saturday night killings in Buffalo, NY by Peyton Gendron, an 18-year-old white man [What we know about Buffalo supermarket shooting suspect Payton Gendron, CNN, May 16, 2022].

According to what appears to be his manifesto, Gendron was motivated by serious racial concerns, particularly by what he saw as the displacement of his race by anti-white government policies, above all mass non-traditional immigration—the “Great Replacement.”

At this point, I must of course stipulate that I personally, and as Editor of VDARE.com, AM OPPOSED TO VIOLENCE—what the Left, in its criticism-free cocoon, is allowed to laud as “Direct Action” in the case of Antifa and BLM.

But I do so with considerable bitterness. Thus VDARE.com was not involved in the 2017 Charlottesville Unite The Right rally, was not invited to speak, did not promote it, did not attend.

But it did us no damned good at all. In the subsequent lynch mob hysteria, we were still demonetized by PayPal, a crippling blow that turned out to be just the beginning of a systematic campaign of repression (see here, here, and here, etc.).

Why Would US Give a War Guarantee — to Finland?

Seeing Russia invade Ukraine, historically neutral Finland has undergone a late conversion and decided to join NATO immediately.

Why? Because NATO membership means the world’s strongest power, the United States, under Article 5 of NATO, would go to war against Russia, should it cross Finland’s border.

Nervous about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s intentions, Finland wants America legally and morally bound to fight Russia on its behalf, should Putin invade Finland as he invaded Ukraine.

But why would the United States consent to go to war with Russia, the largest nuclear power on earth, for violating Finland’s frontiers?

EU to Offer Ukraine New Loans to Plug Immediate Needs

The European Commission is set to propose on Wednesday a new package of financial aid to Ukraine including new loans to provide immediate liquidity to Kyiv and commitments for the long-term financing of the country's reconstruction, officials said.

The size of the short-term financial support is still being defined but two officials familiar with the discussions told Reuters they expected it to roughly cover Ukraine's financial needs for two months, largely through loans.

A third official said the money would come from the EU budget and from EU governments, dismissing earlier talk that the funds could be raised in the market with the issuance of joint bonds backed by the EU budget.

Taliban Dissolve Afghanistan's Human Rights Commission, Other Key Bodies

Taliban authorities in Afghanistan dissolved five key departments of the former U.S.-backed government, including the country's Human Rights Commission, deeming them unnecessary in the face of a financial crunch, an official said on Monday.

Afghanistan faces a budget deficit of 44 billion Afghanis ($501 million) this financial year, Taliban authorities said on Saturday as they announced their first annual national budget since taking over the war-torn country last August.

"Because these departments were not deemed necessary and were not included in the budget, they have been dissolved," Innamullah Samangani, the Taliban government's deputy spokesman, told Reuters.

Ukraine Signs Agreement With Japan on $100 Million Loan

Ukraine and Japan have signed an agreement on a $100 million loan intended primarily to help support vulnerable people in Ukraine following Russia's invasion, the Ukrainian finance ministry said on Monday.

It said the loan was for 30 years and included a grace period of 10 years.

Biden to Visit Buffalo After Skipping Visit to Waukesha

The White House announced Sunday that Joe Biden will be traveling to Buffalo on Tuesday to meet with the families of the victims of Saturday's mass shooting.

"We're still gathering the facts, but already, the Justice Department has stated publicly that it's investigating the matter as a hate crime, racially-motivated act of white supremacy and violent extremism," Biden said on Sunday. "As they do, we must all work together to address the hate that remains a stain on the soul of America. Our hearts are heavy once again, but our resolve must never waver."

Biden was quick to label the Buffalo attack "an act of domestic terrorism" but eschewed the terrorism label when it came to Waukesha, referring to the attack instead as a "horrific act of violence."

BUFFALO SHOOTING SUSPECT WAS ON POLICE RADAR FOR THREATENING TO SHOOT UP SCHOOL

The FBI was too busy hunting down MAGA moms who walked through the Capital on Jan 6 to investigate the alleged Buffalo mass shooter for threatening a school shooting.

From Buffalo News:

In June 2021, police in Broome County were called by officials of a local high school who told them [Payton] Gendron had threatened violence in comments made to fellow students.

"A school official reported that this very troubled young man had made statements indicating that he wanted to do a shooting, either at a graduation ceremony, or sometime after," the same government official familiar with the case told The News.

State Police were sent to investigate and Gendron, under a section of state mental health laws, was referred for a mental health evaluation and counseling, the official said.

AP has more:

Gendron threatened to carry out a shooting at Susquehanna Valley High School, in Conklin, New York, around the time of graduation, a law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity said. The official was not authorized to speak publicly on the investigation.

Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia said Gendron had no further contact with law enforcement after his release from the hospital.

"Nobody called in," he said. "Nobody called any complaints," Gramaglia said.

Senate Advances $40 Billion Ukraine Aid Package

On Monday, the Senate voted to advance the nearly $40 billion aid package for Ukraine, setting up a final vote on the legislation later this week.

The Senate passed a motion to limit the debate on the bill in a vote of 81-11, with only Republicans opposing the measure. The move came after Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) blocked a vote on the massive aid package last Thursday.

Paul blocked the vote because he wanted to change the text of the bill to create a special inspector general for oversight of the billions in weapons and other aid that the US is pouring into Ukraine.

In his objection, Paul also cited the economic pain Americans are feeling due to a 40-year high inflation rate of over 8% and soaring gas prices. “Americans are feeling the pain and Congress seems intent only on adding to that pain by shoveling more money out the door as fast as they can,” he said.

Sadr Rules Out Iraq Consensus Government; No Unity With Rival Shi’ite Blocs

Bids to form a new Iraqi government continue to fail, with cleric Moqtada al-Sadr ruling out a consensus government with any of the rival Shi’ite blocs, and those blocs so far preventing him from forming a majority government with his chosen allies.

The Sadrist Movement has the largest plurality in Iraq from the October election, but still needs a substantial number of allies to form a majority. Sadr has courted the Kurdish Democrats, as well as a Sunni Arab bloc, as the core of that majority.

Rival Shi’ite faction State of Law has been courting the exact same factions to both try to prevent Sadr from governing, and to try to either piece together an alternative, or more likely, to try to force Sadr to let them into a grand coalition.

US AIR FORCE DEPLOYMENT IN BRITAIN IS THIRD LARGEST IN WORLD

The US Air Force (USAF) has 9,730 personnel permanently deployed throughout Britain, an increase of 22% from six years ago.

Analysis by Declassified has found that Britain hosts the third highest level of USAF personnel of any country in the world, ahead of historic US military outposts like South Korea and Italy.

These American airmen have in recent years flown bombing missions to Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya from their bases in Britain.

“The USAF presence in Britain isn’t just some remnant of the Cold War, it’s ongoing and very active,” Kate Hudson, chair of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), told Declassified.

EU gives companies green light to buy gas from Russia

The European Union said companies can keep buying gas without breaching sanctions, as it softened its stance in a standoff with Moscow over energy supplies.

The European Commission sent its revised guidelines to member states on Friday, a spokesperson said on Monday. In the updated recommendations, it said companies should make a clear statement that they consider their obligations fulfilled once they pay in euros or dollars.

Turkey demands extradition of PKK members from Sweden, Finland for Nato bid

Turkey said on Sunday that Sweden and Finland must provide security guarantees on the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and lift all arms embargoes against Ankara before it can support their Nato membership bids.

Cavusoglu said Ankara was making progress with Finland on the issue but Sweden was continuing to be “provocative”, and that Turkey would only be happy after getting security assurances.

Turkey has also asked both countries to extradite suspected PKK members.

Video shows cops storming hospital before reporter’s funeral, hitting people inside

Footage released Monday from last week’s funeral for slain Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh showed dozens of Israel Police officers rushing into a hospital before the procession began, hitting and shoving people inside, including patients, and firing from the grounds of the medical center.

The video clips — security footage from inside East Jerusalem’s Saint Joseph’s Hospital — were presented by local Christian leaders at a press conference during which they tore into police conduct during Abu Akleh’s funeral.

Police have already been under immense international scrutiny for other scenes captured at the Friday funeral, namely of officers rushing at and beating mourners as they carried Abu Akleh’s casket outside the hospital, nearly causing it to fall to the ground, and the firing of stun grenades.

Israeli forces kill Daoud Zubeidi, brother of political prisoner Zakaria Zubeidi

A prominent Palestinian leader in Jenin and the brother of political prisoner Zakaria Zubeidi, who briefly escaped the Gilboa prison in 2021, succumbed to wounds on Sunday after he was shot by Israeli forces over the weekend.

Daoud Zubeidi, 43, was shot by Israeli forces during a raid in the Jenin Refugee Camp on Friday that left at least 13 Palestinians wounded.

The raid began in the early morning hours, with Israeli forces heavily deploying in and around the camp. Soldiers targeted a home in the camp with a short-range missile, prompting a four hour gun battle. Two Palestinians were arrested during the raid.

California Rep. Ted Lieu Demands GOP Denounce "Racist And Vile Replacement Theory" He Once Boasted About

In the wake of the mass shooting in Buffalo, California Rep Ted Lieu (D) has been tweeting nonstop partisan attacks suggesting Republicans are to blame for the shooting for promoting "replacement theory."

By my review, Lieu has sent 16 tweets on the issue over the last three days.

"I looked through [Ted Lieu's] tweets and he is using the Buffalo mass shooting as a partisan attack against Republicans," Andy Ngo said Monday on Twitter. "He has said nothing about the mass shooting on the church in [southern] California (where he lives) by a suspect originally from China who allegedly targeted the Taiwanese."

Lieu himself was born in Taiwan and serves as the whip for the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus but he won't issue any tweets on the church shooting lest it get in the way of his precious narrative.

Regime Media Refuse to Call Mass Surrender of Azov Fighters Holed Up in Azovstal Plant a Surrender

Regime media on Monday uniformly tried to spin the mass surrender of hundreds of Azov Battalion fighters and other Ukrainian soldiers holed up in Mariupol's Azovstal steel factory as anything but a surrender.

The New York Times, CNN, AP and others all chose to refer to the mass surrender as an "evacuation" and an "end" to their "combat mission."

Italy's Salvini Warns Food Shortages Could Cause 20 Million African Migrants To Enter Europe

Italian League party leader Matteo Salvini has warned that if the war in Ukraine does not end soon, chronic food shortages will cause an immigration wave that will lead to 20 million African migrants trying to enter Europe.

If Ukrainian grain supplies continue to be impacted, Salvini cautions, “Significant hunger is expected on the African continent, which will be a humanitarian, then a social, and finally an Italian problem.”

“Without peace there will be famine in the autumn and 20 million Africans will be ready to go,” he added.

Salvini predicts that a new migrant crisis will unfold if a ceasefire and subsequent peace isn’t achieved by the end of this month, noting that this was “essential for Ukraine, Russia and Italy as well.”

AIR FORCE JETS TO ENFORCE A NO-FLY ZONE OVER WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM OVER DAVOS

Construction crews have been finishing pop-up networking facilities for the business and political elite that descend for the May 22-26 conference. Soldiers are erecting security fences.

The Swiss government will deploy as many as 5,000 military personnel to support local police. Air force jets will again circle above to enforce a no-fly zone.

Geneva-based WEF says the meeting will bring together more than 2,000 leaders and experts from around the world, somewhat smaller than some past meetings. No government or corporate bigwigs from Russia were invited, because of the Ukraine war.

Topics on the agenda include the pandemic recovery, tackling climate change, the future for work, accelerating stakeholder capitalism, and harnessing new technologies.

Cutting Off Russian Gas Would Be "Catastrophic", German Industry President Warns

As we detailed yesterday, almost two months after Europe rushed to declare it would impose unprecedented sanctions on Russia in response to Putin's invasion of Ukraine with no regard for how such sanctions would boomerang and cripple its own economies, the old continent which was and still remains hostage to Russian energy exports, is finally grasping the underlying math which was all too clear to Vladimir Putin long ago.

The European Union’s executive arm said yesterday that the currency bloc’s economy would expand about 0.2% this year, with inflation topping 9%, as governments struggled to replace the imports.

A Bizarre Skin Disease Is Mysteriously Spreading In The UK

Monkeypox is a disease that I have been monitoring for quite a while now. It is not supposed to spread easily from human to human, and hopefully that is still true. But human cases are now popping up in the UK, and authorities are not exactly sure how it is spreading. As we have seen with COVID, deadly diseases can mutate in dangerous and unpredictable ways. And as we have also seen, a handful of human cases can ultimately turn into a worldwide pandemic. So we should definitely keep an eye on this alarming new outbreak in the UK, because it could potentially become something much larger.

Escobar: Death By A Thousand Cuts - Where Is The West's Ukraine Strategy?

While we are all familiar with Sun Tzu, the Chinese general, military strategist and philosopher who penned the incomparable Art of War, less known is the Strategikon, the Byzantium equivalent on warfare.

Sixth century Byzantium really needed a manual, threatened as it was from the east, successively by Sassanid Persia, Arabs and Turks, and from the north, by waves of steppe invaders, Huns, Avars, Bulgars, semi-nomadic Turkic Pechenegs and Magyars.

Byzantium could not prevail just by following the classic pattern of Roman Empire raw power – they simply didn’t have the means for it.

So military force needed to be subordinate to diplomacy, a less costly means of avoiding or resolving conflict. And here we can make a fascinating connection with today’s Russia, led by President Vladimir Putin and his diplomacy chief Sergei Lavrov.

But when military means became necessary for Byzantium – as in Russia’s Operation Z – it was preferable to use weaponry to contain or punish adversaries, instead of attacking with full force.

The Battle For Control Of Your Mind

In his classic dystopian novel 1984, George Orwell famously wrote, “If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—for ever.” This striking image served as a potent symbol for totalitarianism in the 20th Century. But as Caylan Ford recently observed, with the advent of digital health passports in the emerging biomedical security state, the new symbol of totalitarian repression is “not a boot, but an algorithm in the cloud: emotionless, impervious to appeal, silently shaping the biomass.”

TEXAS SCHOOL DISTRICT RESTRICTS FIRST AMENDMENT ACTIVITY, BANS TEACHERS AND EMPLOYEES FROM PUBLICLY CRITICIZING SCHOOL POLICIES

The Rutherford Institute is challenging attempts by a Texas school district to prohibit its employees from publicly criticizing the school or its policies. In a letter to officials at the Carroll Independent School District, Rutherford Institute attorneys warn that the non-disparagement clause included in the District’s employment contracts, which requires employees to “agree to not disparage, criticize, or defame the District, and its employees or officials, to the media,” constitutes a restriction on speech in violation of the First Amendment that would likely not hold up in court.

“As public bodies entrusted with the care and education of America’s children, schools should be free speech forums that encourage critical thinking skills,” said constitutional attorney John W. Whitehead, president of The Rutherford Institute and author of Battlefield America: The War on the American People. “Forcing teachers to muzzle their concerns about the government’s policies or actions sends a chilling message to students that there is no room for transparency and accountability in government.”
