Uvalde's school district police chief is under fire for refusing to let his officers engage the active shooter at Robb Elementary School, after the gunman barricaded himself in a classroom as kids cowered inside and called 911.
During a bombshell presser Friday, Texas Department of Public Safety head Steven McCraw slammed Chief Pete Arredondo for failing to engage 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, mistakenly believing the teen had finished his killing spree and was hiding out from cops.
'With the benefit of hindsight, from where I'm sitting now, of course it was not the right decision. It was the wrong decision, period,' McCraw said.

Anti-gun protesters picketed the NRA’s annual convention in Houston, Texas, on Friday, demanding the government ban so-called ‘assault weapons.’ Despite the convention coming three days after a shooter killed 19 children and two adults in a Texas elementary school, speakers and attendees at the convention insisted that they wouldn’t surrender the right to bear arms.

A Tokyo court began hearings on Thursday in a landmark lawsuit filed by six cancer patients against the operator of the ill-fated Fukushima nuclear power plant. The plaintiffs were children at the time of the 2011 disaster – when the plant was crippled in a devastating earthquake and subsequent tsunami – and they developed thyroid cancer later in life.
The group is seeking a total of 616 million yen ($4.9 million) in damages from the Fukushima operator, the Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (TEPCO). The plaintiffs believe the plant’s operator is responsible for their illnesses and the impact they’ve had on their lives.
“Because of the treatments, I could not attend university, or continue my studies for my future job, or go to a concert. I had to give up everything,” one of the plaintiffs, identified only as a woman in her 20s, told the court. “I want to regain my healthy body, but that’s impossible no matter how hard I wish.”
Moscow has claimed that Ukraine’s sprawling network of secret biological labs has been plagued with critical safety flaws, while funds allocated to fix the issues have been consistently disappearing.
Multiple laboratories were simply not fit to handle the hazardous materials and pathogens they have been working with, Chief of Russia’s Radioactive, Chemical, and Biological Protection Forces Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov said during a briefing on Friday.
“According to official data, only three laboratories with a BSL-3 biological safety level have had the right to perform such studies. These are the Odessa Anti-Plague Institute, the Institute of Epidemiology and Hygiene in Lvov, and the Public Health Center in Kiev,” Kirillov stated.
The risk of escalating the conflict in Ukraine would be considerably heightened if the US provides Kiev with long-range multiple launch rocket systems, Russia’s ambassador to the US, Anatoly Antonov, warned on Friday. Earlier, several US media outlets reported that the Biden administration had given the green light to the deliveries.
When asked for comment on the claims, Antonov said the allegations have to be verified first, and that so far, no official announcement had been made by US officials.
The ambassador expressed hope that “common sense will prevail, and Washington will not take such a provocative step,” adding that he and his colleagues from the Russian Foreign Ministry had repeatedly warned the US leadership that the “unprecedented pumping” of weapons into Ukraine “considerably increases risks of an escalation of the conflict.”
The World Health Organization (WHO) recently announced plans for an international pandemic treaty tied to a digital passport and digital ID system. Meeting in December 2021 in a special session for only the second time since the WHO’s founding in 1948, the Health Assembly of the WHO adopted a single decision titled, “The World Together.”
The WHO plans to finalize the treaty by 2024. It will aim to shift governing authority, now reserved to sovereign states, to the WHO during a pandemic by legally binding member states to the WHO’s revised International Health Regulations.
In January of 2022 the United States submitted proposed amendments to the 2005 International Health Regulations, which bind all 194 UN member states, which the WHO director general accepted and forwarded to other member states. In contrast to amendments to our own constitution, these amendments will not require a two-thirds vote of our Senate, but a simple majority of the member states.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the World Health Assembly’s vote on a draft resolution calling for Russia’s suspension from regional meetings over Ukraine showed the world was waking up to the fact that Kiev’s allies were trying to isolate Moscow and politicize the UN health agency.
The 75th World Health Assembly in Geneva voted 88-12, with 53 abstentions, to pass the resolution on "Health emergency in Ukraine." Russia said this was just a fraction of the 183 member states who make up the World Health Organization.
Meanwhile, media reports suggest the US administration could announce a new security aid package for Ukraine that includes advanced, long-range rocket systems as early as next week.
Also on Friday, the Russian military providd new details on US military biological activities in Ukraine, highlighing also Washington's interest in the smallpox pathogen as a priority pathogenic agent for combat use.
A radical leftwing group is laying plans to shut down the Supreme Court in response to a leaked opinion that overturns Roe v. Wade, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.
#ShutdownDC is planning to block streets adjoining the Court to prevent the justices and their staff from reaching their chambers. Organizers acknowledged their operations go beyond constitutionally protected activity, and they referenced the likelihood of arrests and clashes with law enforcement during a Tuesday night briefing the Free Beacon monitored.
"One of our goals would be to expand the current political crisis by shutting down the Supreme Court," one of the organizers said. The group planned the blockade for Monday, June 13, a day when the Court will likely hand down opinions.
#ShutdownDC is concocting its ploy amid continued concerns over the Supreme Court's security and that of the justices following the unprecedented leak. The Department of Homeland Security's intelligence arm circulated a memo in May warning of a sharp rise in threats to the High Court. Law enforcement is investigating violent threats from pro-abortion extremists against members of the Court as well as the Court building itself, the memo said.
Federal officers overruled local Texas police to storm the Uvalde school where a gunman was killing children - thirty minutes after being told not to go into the building a report has claimed.
The armed officers from Border Patrol and Homeland Security arriving on the scene of the Texas school shooting were told by the local police chief not to go into the building, according to a report, but after a maddening 30 minutes overruled him and stormed the site.
The first 911 call was received at 11:28am, and it swiftly became clear that the school was under serious attack: units from across the region dashed to the site. They included the elite border patrol tactical unit BORTAC, and ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), who were on the scene between noon and 12:15pm.
Well, well, well . . . all the Ukraine hype about how they were winning, and beating the Russians at every turn, seems to have suddenly fallen apart. All the TV news reports about Ukraine victories, all the videos put out by public relations firms touting Ukraine's strength . . . all turned out to be propaganda . . . and boatloads of people in countries around the world, fell-for-it, hook, line, and sinker. That didn't take long!

A huge thank you to all the suggestions, and support that is pouring in. I will return to the RBN radio show as soon as possible!
