A Palestinian man was shot and killed by an Israeli border police officer at point blank range on Friday evening in the northern occupied West Bank town of Huwwara in what is being described as an “execution” on social media.

The execution was captured on video and has circulated widely on social media. The incident occurred shortly before 5pm on Huwwara’s main road — a major throughway that connects dozens of villages with the city of Nablus to the north, and is used by both Palestinians and Israeli settlers. 

The Ministry of Health in Gaza has held a press conference near the Israeli controlled Erez crossing in northern Gaza. The aim was to demand the entry of badly needed medical equipment and diagnostic devices into the blockaded Gaza Strip.

The Israeli regime refuses to allow the entry of medical equipment as well as spare parts for devices that are needed to treat thousands of patients in Gaza. Hospitals in the besieged coastal territory are in dire need of such equipment. 

Prime minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu granted far-right leader Bezalel Smotrich extensive powers over Israeli settlements and Palestinian construction in the West Bank as part of a coalition deal signed on Thursday between Smotrich’s Religious Zionism party and Netanyahu’s Likud.

A coalition of Palestine advocacy groups has launched a renewed effort to free members of the Holy Land Five, a group of Palestinian men imprisoned fourteen years ago for allegedly funding terrorism through their charity.

The new campaign was ignited by Within Our Lifetime, the Coalition for Civil Freedoms, and the Samidoun Prisoner Network, but dozens of human rights organizations have joined the call including Palestinian Youth Movement, CUNY Law Students for Justice in Palestine, and the Canadian BDS Coalition.


Palestinian human rights lawyer Salah Hammouri, who is currently imprisoned by Israel, has been ordered by the Israeli state to be deported on December 4th, following the revocation of his Jerusalem residency status. 

Israel is considering blocking entry to Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in the Palestinian Territory occupied since 1967, Israeli media reported.

Albanese, who is planning on visiting Palestine in the coming days, was accused of taking part in an online conference in Gaza last week, which allegedly included members of the Palestinian political groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

“The sense of freedom I have now is strange,” the 43-year-old said. “When I walk, I find it hard to believe I can move without anyone stopping me.”

Shin Bet and IDF brass reportedly warned a top Knesset panel on Tuesday to brace for a security escalation in the coming months, as the West Bank endured one of its bloodiest days this year.

An unnamed official who testified before the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee told lawmakers that the security establishment expects a rise in both the scope and professional nature of Palestinian attacks, Channel 12 reported.
